Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Yellowflowers your note has made me giggle. " his face fell as I told him that we had to do it again on Thursday..." I can see the expression my DH adopts the same face... it did make me giggle.

There's so many of us doing the DP this month... its going to be exciting to see the results. It will be smashing if we get a 100% graduation!!

I am drinking down my grapefruit juice even whilst AF is around, I hope that is okay. I went to M&S today and brought the pink variety grapefruit juice - hoping that this is okay.... thought I would treat myself. It doesn't taste half bad... but I have a feeling your going to all tell me that i need just the yellow variety How many cups should I be drinking?

My flipping temperature machine is driving me mad, it keeps bleeping in the morning and to top that I have no side bed light so can't see what buttons I am pressing. Decided to take the temperature from day 4 as heaven knows what I have done for the last three days!!

Pinkie have missed a couple of your post. Cheer-up, everything will work out just fine, I can feel it in my bones!!

I am off for two days, so will be just popping in when I can. I will read messages in the evening. Spending time with my dd, so it will not be a relaxing time!! but I will get all my cuddles.

So looking forward to next week.... Tuesday is my attack day....

Going to buy the cough mixture tomorrow and have a couple of spoon full before I Ovulate to see if it helps things along.

Elliegant · 05/11/2008 18:45

Hi ladies,

first chance i've had to catch up on you all.

smiley, keeping everything crossed for you.

villagemum I too get really bad ov pains, when I came off the pill (months ago), it took me a couple of months to realise what they were at one point it was so bad i thought it was my appendixs (spelling), they can be really painful but at least I know when I am ovulating.

CD8 tomorrow so at last we can get trying this month

Big hugs and baby dust for all

smileycat · 05/11/2008 18:28

Well no AF today so happy that FF has got that right. Have had period type pains all day long & rushed to the loo quite a few times today convinced that AF had arrived, but so far so good. Had my tea tonight & I felt quite sicky after it (but don't know if thats me thinking too much into it) I'm going to take my temp in the morning & as long as it hasn't dropped below my coverline do the cheapy test. I hate this part 'am I, arn't I' I kept saying today if AF is going to come just come now & get it over with, all these pains & know AF, hopefully I will know one way or the other tomorrow

yellowflowers · 05/11/2008 16:47

Hi Heeby - in spirit of deanna plan we did it yesterday (day 12) and even made it fun, though his face fell a bit when I said we have to do it again on Thurs!

No spats you are prob right and I know I am being daft when I think to myself "oooh I wonder if that means etc etc."

Mind you, some people swear they got symptoms right from the off but then I also think you can see a lot if you look hard enough. The first concrete symptom I got with ds was a wave of nausea quite randomly at work which passed after a few mins and fresh air. I assumed I had a bit of tummy wierdness and forgot about it. With hindsight it might have been implantation - was about 10 days po roughly.

spats · 05/11/2008 15:22

wasab ,can you symptom spot 4dpo which is what i am as well? the tingly boobs are there but the fact that they may be related to pg is probably in my head this early on , isn't it? nothing much will have happened yet will it?

wasabipeanut · 05/11/2008 15:17

A positive test before Christmas is a nice goal actually - still time for a couple of cycles!

villagemum - ov pains seem to vary a lot but I know some people really suffer. Perhaps because this is your 1st normal one since the mc it is twinging more.

A few months ago I was about 5 days late for no reason at all - when I did eventually get AF I sat there half in tears because it REALLY hurt. I was getting what almost felt like contractions that went right into my lower back. However, since then its been fine - a couple of twinges but thats about it. Sometimes if a cycle goes "off" I think it hurts more of that makes sense?

Pezzina · 05/11/2008 14:24

No, I've never had it villagemum but my best friend does - she has bad ov pains every month

VillageMum · 05/11/2008 14:11

Wanabe, there's still time for a +ve test before Christmas... I'll be right there with you if it doesn't work out for you this month!

Ladies, I need some advice. This is my first 'normal' cycle after a mc and I'm having the most incredible ovulation twinges. It really feels as if all the plumbing has woken up at once. 'Mittelschmerz' isn't even in it. Has anyone else ever had this?!

WanabeMum · 05/11/2008 13:50

Villagemum that made me laugh! our poor DH's don't know what they're letting themselves in for do they?
Mine has agreed to the plan next month and is taking his "sample" down next Wednesday too so he's all geared up for this babymaking stuff now (only took him 6 months mind!)

Well im CD22 today (2DPO) and obviously no signs/symptoms. Is it mad that despite the fact that im even more convinced that im not pg this month, im still wondering when i should test if AF doesn't arrive??!! I think this is driving me a bit crazy

Never mind, like was said earlier, i'll pick myself up, dust myself off, and start again next month. No other choice really because i want a baby sssssoooo badly and my goal back in April was a positive test before Christmas!! uh oh

VillageMum · 05/11/2008 13:36

Wasabi, I'm 39 and feel as you do! Even more so after my recent mc... Dh better be ready when we start ttc next cycle as we'll be doing the DP whether he knows it or not .

WanabeMum · 05/11/2008 13:32

Aww Wasabi!! sometimes our DH's are insensitive and yes we would all love it if we could have a romantic night in and POOF a pregnancy arrived, but unfortunately, as we all know, there is a lot more effort needed!
My DH was exactly the same until i told him that i was only getting stressed because it seemed that it was only me who realised how hard it was. He wasn't impressed initially but soon came around

Pinkie i'm hoping for the empowered feeling next month with the DP too. Hopefully it will make me feel like im being pro-active and hopefully i'll get rewarded for all my hard work at the end of the month too!

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 13:31

Wasabi

I know what you're saying. All the DH and DPs seem to like that whole spontaneous thing. I think its lack of understanding of the science of it all.

You know how it is bless them they struggle to multi task like us girls and it takes them a while to realise that we only really have afew days that it will work.

My DH said that if he had known it was this hard he would never have been so panicked about an accident before we got married.

wasabipeanut · 05/11/2008 13:14

Hi Pinkie yes I explained the dp to my dh. He was ok but made a comment about feeling "like a baby making machine" which was a bit gutting. I got upset and he apologized but like many other dh's it seems he wishes it could be more "spontaneous" and "romantic".

I have to watch what I say carefully. I just feel like snapping back sometimes that if he wants another baby which he does, that given my age we don't have time to waste on his romantic sensibilities. I don't say that of course.

I think because ds was a honeymoon baby he just thought it could be like that again. He never took me seriously when I said it would prob take longer this time.

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 13:06

Wasabi

I so love your name it always makes me want sushi he he always up for food.

I am loving the DP, it made me feel empowered last month so am hoping for the same this month.

I really hope those niggles are a little bean burrowing in

xx

Pezzina · 05/11/2008 12:37

Hi all,

Just having a quick catch up - work has been super busy this morning. Which is rubbish - keeping me away from you lovely ladies!

Pinkie glad you're sounding back to your cheerful self today. I do think we're all amazing in the way that we can pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back on with it - more determined then ever - we're all fabulous!

Becky I know what you mean about hiding all the effort from other half. I did that at the beginning but he told me that he really wanted to be a part of it all. Which was actually a huge relief because I was waiting till he got up and showered in the morning before I could take my temp - by which time I was absolutely bursting for the loo. Things have thankfully gotten a lot easier!

wasabipeanut · 05/11/2008 12:18

Have done my normal trick of not checking in for a few days so been having a good catch up.

Heeby - congratulations!! It sounded so positive for you at teh end of last week I had a feeling that you were going to be next! So happy for you.

Pinkie - I am sorry to read that you have been so down, not helped by sensetive comments from your friend about Clomid! It must be truly heartbeaking to have to field questions from your dd about whether or not she's on for a bro or sis! It will be your time soon I am sure - the DP appears to be popular and effective!

spats - fingers and toes crossed that tingly boobs are a positive sign and smileycat I hope the witch stays away from you too.

Well I am now according to my OPK 4 days po and am symptim spotting like mad which is quite an achievement at this stage. Keep feeling little pin pricks in lower abdomen which I am hoping is some teeny clump of cells heading down towards its home for the next 9 months! I hate this bit I truly do. Most months recently I have been quite matter of fact about not being pregnant because I just didn't think dh and I have bd'd enough but this month we did and I feel so positive that I will be more upset than usual if it hasn't happenned.

Oodles of babydust to all

BeckyMcG · 05/11/2008 12:12

P.s. to all the girls feeling down - chins up. You're not unusual for struggling to conceive straight away - just look at us all on here for a starter! It will come to us - I just know it will. x

BeckyMcG · 05/11/2008 12:10

Hello ladies,
Congats Heebie - we needed some good news this month - giving us all hope.
Everyone it'll be our turn at some point soon- I just know it will!
I've been moving house this weekend. Down from Manchester to Berkhamsted so has been quite a big move. I was trying not to lift anything too heavy! Am now surrounded by boxes - total chaos.
Am I the only one who sort of "hides" the effort involved in ttc from hubby. He's really desperate for a baby and to avoid either of us feeling like failures I try and make light of it. At the same time of course I am making sure we BD at the right time etc and hide my OPK's. He said yesterday - "when can we test?" I said - "end of next week" when really it's next Tuesday as I plan to test and either break the good news or just wait for AF. I don't want to see disapoointment on his face. I just think it might put more pressure on if we were both monitoring it......hmm, just don't know. Guess there's no right answer.

VillageMum · 05/11/2008 11:52

pinkie, hahaha, love your friend's suggestion about stopping the Clomid (not!) What planet is she on? The Deanna Plan is great, though - that plus Clomid should do the trick, I'd have thought, if anything would! Good luck, I have a good feeling for you!

Cindy, though I'm now ov'ing we're sticking to our resolution not to ttc (or is that trying NOT to conceive? tNtc??) in this cycle so that I can get a bit stronger and less stressed after my recent mc. AF is due around 19 November and after that we will be going all out for pg, with the Deanna Plan! Plus grapefruit juice! Wishing you strength for next week!

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 11:22

Hi C1ndy

Its good that you are a girl with a plan the DP plan. I was very low yesterday but the girls got be back up (thank you girls hugging everyone)

I too feel that right i am going to dust myself off and start the DP plan again just as soon as.

The grapefruit needs to be freshly squeezed not concentrate. I saw a difference immediately, the clomid has really dried things up for me and it was back to normal sorry TMI

I dont think it matters to wait for the cough medicine but you could try the juice first and if you not happy add the cough medicine in.

Loving the funfair analogy it really made me smile.

C1NDY · 05/11/2008 10:35

Smileycat fingers and toes crossed for you.

Pinkie your going to be next... so fingers and toes crossed for you too... :0)

Heeby so happY for you! Now that you have graduated, need to ask a question about the grapefruit.. did you have natural or concentrated? and do you think this helped? Did you follow the DP to the 'T'

I am planning next weeks attack hehehe! I start bding next week.... am so looking forward to having another go. It's like one of those funfair games... to see if you can hit the coconut but in our case its the egg... LOL. Roll up... Roll up...

Village how are you, are you in the full throttle of it all?

Now another daft question for you all... those who are doing the DP... I know she says to use the cough medicine after three trys.. but could I use it now? or should I wait.... (I hate waiting by the way) Does it make a difference?

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 09:47

Hi everyone

Spats Thank you i agree thats the great thing about MN we are all there for each other and dont judge and actually listen (well read) to what is happening to each other.

Yesterday a friend said "why dont you stop the clomid and see what happens if you bd like mad you are bound to get pg" this was after i had explained that i am on it cos dont ovulate. HELLOOOOOOO didnt you hear me.

Anyway i feel better today, and your sympton is very positive sign fingers crossed.

I dont think will be testing at weekend as not optimistic, would rather just expect AF and start afresh not month.

Am going to follow deanna plan and keep optimistic.

Smileycat Really hope AF stays away from you. XX

Elliegant ARent they all so similar and i agree yes it makes me want tocry too. In a gorgeous way bacause i know they will be so pleased when a sis/bro comes along but also because i cant control this and i know it hurts her when its "not our turn" this month

Big (((hugs))) to all

smileycat · 05/11/2008 07:22

Morning ladies. Well no sign of AF yet was due this morn going by last month but not late till Sat as sometimes have a 28 day cycle. My temp dropped a tiny bit this morning but still high so feeling optimistic that it wont arrive today but this is my first month of temping so have only got other ladies charts to go by, fingers crossed baby dust to all~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pezzina · 04/11/2008 21:02
