Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

i have decided to take agnus castus today in a bit to get my lp from 10-11 days to 14 so gives more chance for implantation. So no i take that, EPO and grapefruit juice and have come off my daily antihistamine as that drys up the mucus. And am going to to DH plan. THis is getting more technical than a NASA mission!!! x

Hi Wasabi - finger's crossed. I had the same not last month but month before - very faint lines which become blue after the 10 mins - with clear blue tests. I wasn;t pregnant but had very sore boobs and metallic taste - I am sure this wasn't in the head because last month for example I got no symptoms - I am convinced it was something - sperm meeting egg but not implanting maybe. Good luck though.

Hi Pezzina and Elliegant - great to be on cycle with you. I hate this week when too early to symptom spot - so boring!

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but i now take any pg symptoms as a pinch of salt. I had totally different symptoms from usual months ie tingling in boobs like when the milk comes in, so was sort of convinced i was pg this month but AF did arrive. The body seems to know you are ttc and tricks you with news symptoms which you don't usually have as pmt so you think it must be pg signs but alas it is not. Next month i am definately symptom spotting.
Wasabi, sound promiding though - when AF due? x

Heebychick · 14/11/2008 19:43

Tut tut wasabi but wait and see what happens, i hate the 'maybe maybe not' feeling, give it a few days, sit on your hands and try again.

Thanks wanabe re dates, i think i am going on a tuesday change over as that would be in the middle of 26 days and 28 days.

Gonna ring dr next friday and make an appt, might feel less anxious then, but still gonna ask for early scan.

Aaarrrggghhh I have officially been an idiot and am now paying dearly.

Yesterday I felt a bit nauseous in the afternoon and on the spur of the moment did a test when I got in from work. A really faint sort of ghost line came up after about 5 mins and gradually got bluer but.....after the 10 minute time limit.

I thought it was prob an evap line so should check again this morning and the same thing happenned although it came up faster but still not within 10 mins.

I don't feel pregnant and have been spotting on and off all week and deep down I know these are prob evap lines so WHY did I test because now I am just really agitated and poor dh got his hopes up.

All I can do is wait and see I know unless AF turns up but I'm cross with myself now for putting myself and dh through this.

Hi All,

yellowflowers I have just started 2ww as well, lets hope its not too bad and that i don't become sympton spotting crazed again this month..

Pezzina · 14/11/2008 14:22

Yellowflowers it sounds as though you and I OV'd round about the same day - I'm so glad I'll have company for the dreaded 2WW. I've had temperature rises for the past two days. If it is still high tomorrow then I think FF will confirm OV day on my chart.

C1NDY · 14/11/2008 13:22

VillageMum Looking forward to having you join us. When you will be starting I will be over the bd stage and will proberly doing the 2WW! so it will be lovely to natter.

WanabeMum · 14/11/2008 13:18

Heeby i know this is a bit late but just found it while being slightly neurotic!

"As long as you have periods on a regular cycle of every 28 days, we calculate your due date as nine months and seven days from the first day of your last period"

It was on the Cow & Gate website. Not sure if it helps you or not but thought if you knew your due date you could figure out how many weeks you would be?

yellowflowers · 14/11/2008 12:25

Hi Wannabe - I think that sounds really encouraging. Hi village too - welcome back. Hope you don't have to be on this thread for too long.

I am pretty sure ovulation was today or yesterday - temp has risen two days running but in small increments so guess will need another couple of days to see if rise is sustained. If so though I am now in 2ww. First week of which is so boring... anyone else at same stage as me?

Hey villagemum will be nice to have you on board!

VillageMum · 14/11/2008 12:12

Just popping in to say hi Cindy, Yellow, Wanabe* and all you other lovely girls... AF is due next week and I am definitely feeling premenstrual - and a bit apprehensive as we will now be ttc in this next cycle! Thanks for seeing me through this last month of abstinence and gloom; looking forward to joining the ttc conversation properly very soon! x

WanabeMum · 14/11/2008 12:12

Oh and I'm CD31, 11DPO today. The lovely AF is due to arrive on Monday. Joy!!

WanabeMum · 14/11/2008 12:10

Hi ladies,

Thanks for the info Yellow sounds really positive and very interesting!

I'm noticing very odd things so either pg (yeah right!) or it's going to be an aweful AF!!
Me and DH have been at each others throats the last week and everything he does really irritates me. I get pms but never this bad. Plus I'm still getting that "wet" feeling in my knickers which is usually gone just after OV, and still having creamy CM (sorry tmi). what is going on???

I'm exhausted today, didn't set my alarm so slept late and ended up rushing to work so it's thrown me out completely and i think im coming down with something coz my head is very fuzzy im feeling very sorry for myself today!

C1NDY · 14/11/2008 10:28

Yellowflowers the accupunturist (is that how you spell it?) sounds really good. I am thinking if I am still trying to give it a go in the New Year - I have heard so many positive comments about accupunture.

smileycat · 14/11/2008 09:25

C1ndy I start my OPk on Sunday as I will be CD10 so not too far behind you. My DH thankgod is all up for it, I had to keep him off me last night as we BD the night before & start DP tonight, he said he's happy to go at it for a week if thats what it takes, but I don't want him to ware out too soon as I probably won't OV till around Wednesday & will be happy to get as many BDs in when it counts & then relax over the wkend that we are away if I have OV'd by then

yellowflowers · 14/11/2008 09:24

Hi everyone,

Am cross posting as also on August thread but thought you might like to know about the acupuncture.

The acupuncture guy was really great - no joss sticks, no scented candles, no whale music (sorry if you like that, not my kind of thing). Long chat about periods and what they are like (flow, colour, clots etc) which a bit weird talking to a man about but he was very good. He reckons as I ovulate each month (according to 21 day bloods) that probably don;t need acupuncture unless I want it. He said it's not the cure-all but it may help but if I decide to wait a few more months to see then come back that's also fine - good to have some straight talking. It's quite expensive (£60 first session, £40 thereafter) so I'm gong to have a think about it.

The needles themselves were fine - barely noticed them.

I did find out some interesting stuff though. First, that you don't ovulate from each ovary in turn - he described it as like tossing a coin so over time you ovulate roughly half the time from one and half from the other but it could be the same one several times in a row.

Also he said that if you have pcos (I do) that ewcm not a reliable sign as you may get that and lh surge just as egg is fully developed but pcos can delay the actual egg leaving the ovary so it may be that I have my fertile stage a few days after these signs which could be why not getting pregnant as by time of ovulation dh and me so exhausted from all the bding we have several days off. Guess this is why Deanna plan good as that says you need to bd 3 days over ovulation and again two days after that.

But he also said that may not apply to me as I seemingly do ovulate. Only temping will tell me if I have ovulated and I can then look at chart to see if that matches lh surge and ewcm.

I actually did opk stick before leaving house and forgot about it and when I got home after seeing him these was a line - not quite dark enough but almost, so think I saw him just as I was about to ovulate. Then got home and had lots of ewcm. Dh was knackered last night but convinced him to do it this morning. Will try on Sunday too so hopefully we have it covered from all bases.

Sorry for long post.
x

Smileyc@t thanks again. Bd last night on CD11 .. I think I will ovulate on Sunday. So am going to get as much bding in as possible until then and then carry on for another three days once my OPK sticks turn positive, don't want to waste another month but get DH to commit to the bd is really difficult. He would rather it be more romantic rather than on demand but I told him that this is the only way to ensure we have the best chance to get pg. Why do men never understand!

smileycat · 14/11/2008 07:45

c1ndy I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to collect any CM. It sounds like your cervix is in the right place for OV as you can't reach it, that also means that unless you can touch the opening you won't be able to get any CM from it unless you have lots & it comes out when you wipe, some months I get lots & others like you find it hard to see whats there but it doesn't mean its not, it just that theres not much..but enough

C1NDY · 13/11/2008 21:15

Smileycat Thanks you have made me feel much better. I have been feeling a little down today as I have tried to analyse my CM without any luck at all and am worried that perhaps I don't have any. My cervix has moved up and goush TMI but I can't seem to collect anything at all.

smileycat · 13/11/2008 20:37

stretchy egg white CM sounds good, the fact that you have managed to get a little is enough for the swimmers to live in. Keep at the Bding I'm sure there is more CM where it counts, its the sticky & creamy stuff that they can't live in

C1NDY · 13/11/2008 19:05

Hi everyone.

Well DP is not going well DH had to work late and as I get up early to go to work we haven't had the chance to bd... its CD11 and we are definately bd tonight and tomorrow morning (TMI). OPK sticks are not positive yet, so I am hoping I am still in with a chance this month. Goush its hard work getting the bd in. So fingers and toes crossed I have not missed my chance!

I have been inspecting CM and its really hard to get a good example... i think my cervix has moved up ... which is a good sign. Has anyone experienced not been able to collect enough CM for inspection or should I worry if I don't have enough? The small amount I collected was like egg yolk (raw) and was a little stretchy. Any advice would be grately appreciated.

Elliegant · 13/11/2008 17:06

Know what you mean, don't think DH can quite believe his luck

Pezzina · 13/11/2008 17:03

You too sweetie - I don't think I've ever been at it so much . Definitely the fun part. x
