Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Happy birthday funtime and whitebeaches!!!

Pezzina the motto of this thread is "it aint over till the full flow of AF arrives"!!! keep positive honey, don't give up on your bean yet!

Jools nice to hear from you, you sound a lot more positive again today. That's surely a good sign. Glad you're settign yourself some goals about when to start again, exercise etc, it's a very positive step. Good luck honey and fingers crossed you'll be back on our BFP list before you know it xxx

Heeby when is the scan? (sorry if you've posted it already, memory a bit squidgy today). Good luck if im not here to say it.

Ooh i'm off to sunny Florida in 3days ladies, and I'm irritating everyone in work with my countdown. Oh well! Very excited now.
Hope you have a fab time in New York too Becky

VillageMum · 20/11/2008 12:58

Deeja, 1 in 25 doesn't sound rare at all, does it? You're obviously well clued up and I'm sure that having a GP and midwife in the know and supporting you when you are pg would be reassuring too...

Pezzina, does it feel like AF? Seems as if it's taken you by surprise ie no usual AF warning signs so perhaps jools is right?? Fingers crossed for you!!

spats · 20/11/2008 12:47

oh pezzina don't be too sad, it could be implantation honestly at 8 dpo. Can't you go in toilets and have a good cry and shout - i would. sending you virtual hugs . xx

Pezzina · 20/11/2008 12:43

Thanks Jools m'dear for giving me a glimmer of hope. Just wish I could go home and hide away. Ho hum....

spats · 20/11/2008 12:30

i am back for a short time, DH just popped out so using his work computer. He works from home and uses computer 24/7 so i hab=ve a laptop which is broken so haven't been able to log in for 4 days!! i was getting withdrawal symptoms. So many pages have been done since i last logged in. I am now on CD9 and doind DP. This is theory seems a good idea but i really was not up for BD last night as really tired. DH was so we did it but i was to say the least an unwilling particpant!! I lay back and thought of England!! My fiend has just had a baby on Sun and has given me her ebay OPK, about 40 so i will be testing like mad this month. Hopefully they are accurate. I still have some expensive clearplan ones so may use them nearer the tiem. I am drinking Grapefruit and taking EPO. I am also taing agnus Castus to increase my LP as its about 10/11 days which i know is OK but if it could be loinger i would be happy. I had weird PMT signs last month like tingling boobs which i don't usually have. I wondered if sperm met egg and gave me signs but didn't implant. Not sure if that can happen and if you would get symptom shtat quickly. Hope everyone is well and welcome to anyone new hope doing lots of BD. I have quickly skimmed last few days pages but have to get of asap before DH gets back. Hopefully will log in at weekedn sometime. xx

Jools1 · 20/11/2008 11:56

Not necessarily Pezzina - 6 - 8DPO can also be classic implantation spotting time.

Fingers crossed

Pezzina · 20/11/2008 11:48

Hi all,

Am feeling very because I just went to the loo and had pink cm when I wiped I'm only 8dpo which means not only is AF on her way but my luteal phase is shorter than last month.

Big stinky turds!

Jools1 · 20/11/2008 11:45

Info on uterus issues here if you haven't seen it before

The writer of this miscarriage site lost her first baby because it implanted in the wrong place in her "septate" uterus - long story - don't read at work and have tissues to hand. It sounds like knowing the problem is most of the solution though

Deeja · 20/11/2008 11:40

Village your memory does serve you correctly I do have a bicornate unterus. It was a medical person who told me of the higher risks. Basically because it's shaped differently there is slightly less room. So if the bean connects in the wrong place it doesn't have space and then MC. That's why there are a lot of breech births and CS's as well. Not enough room for the baby to go head down. But it might all be fine. The doctor wasn't very clear about how severe it was. Basically it means my uterus is shaped like a heart rather than an upside down pear. But it comes in different degrees. Anyway I've done a lot of internet reading. Apparently about 1 in 25 women have it?.so it's not a rare thing really.

Anyway enough of all that.

And happy birthday Funtime - I wouldn't mind a piece of cake - Yum yum.

funtimewincies · 20/11/2008 11:36

It's done it again, &&^** computer!

funtimewincies · 20/11/2008 11:35

Thanks whitebeaches and many happy returns to you as well . Thanks for the cake (sends back a lovely big glass of champers).

Off for lunch with dh as ds is at Grandmas today. Planing to stuff myself silly? I should coco!

Hi Jools, as the others have said, take it easy. We were advised to wait one cycle, although I ovulated later after the late mmc (about 3 weeks after) than after the earlier ones (about 2 weeks, so near-normal cycle). I also found that the later one 'ganged up' on me and made me cry at odd times for much longer, probably as I'd let myself begin to relax. Hugs and choccy and just take things at your own pace.

VillageMum · 20/11/2008 11:10

Jools, crossed posts... good luck with your new project! I ov'd 3 weeks after my mmc and ERPC - it must have taken my hormones a week to settle down again before the whole ov chain fired up. Yes, they say abstain till all the bleeding stops, which is usually about two weeks. But basically don't worry if your ov is later than usual.

VillageMum · 20/11/2008 11:05

Deeja, don't apologise, your feelings are all normal! Better to be upfront about our doubts and worries so that we can work through them... I remember you writing about your uterus (I think you said you had a bicornuate uterus? sorry memory isn't great, correct me if I've got it wrong!); has someone medical told you that it brings a risk of mc, or are you maybe worrying about something that's not the case? Worth finding out more, just so that you can be reassured?

Jools, hello! ((waves)) good to see you on here, hope you're doing OK! x

Pezzina · 20/11/2008 10:57

Bloomin 'eck heeby you've turned me into a snivelling wreck at work. What lovely words xx

Jools1 · 20/11/2008 10:56

Happy birthday Funtime

Deeja - I've had exactly the same wobbles as you, and in the last week they've got worse - not just the "will I be a fit parent / can I do this" type of stuff but also can I get through those first hellish 12 weeks of worrying about every twinge and terrified of another deluge of blood (sorry if tmi

Heeby and VillageMum - you both put things very well - better than I could . I know I'm going to do this - just need to put the fears aside somehow.

Not sure how DP feels right now, but I'm just going to be vague about things and not push the issue of TTC - that is what I did last time and it worked ! What man can resist when his partner is in the mood and he is mellow with wine / a Liverpool win

I think you are supposed to abstain for 2 weeks after an mc ? That means I can't start till Tuesday and will just have to watch my body carefully to see if the usual signs of ov appear (usually CD16 but I don't know when is CD1 at the moment [hmmm] Caught the egg on the night of CD15 last time and OV'ed the next morning It makes things sooooo much easier when you can feel what is happening.

My wallowing finishes today I think - have got one last choccy bar in the fridge and just had a big piece of my fave - Jamaican ginger cake Healthy diet and exercise starts tomorrow, baby-making commences on Tuesday

Deeja · 20/11/2008 10:39

Oh Heeby you managed to bring a tear to my eye this morning in the office. What you write in so lovely. Thank you so much for shareing that with me. It does make me feel better. I think it's just one of those things that you can't really understand until you have just taken a running leap into the unknown. I'm a bit of a control freak and I'm just getting the wiggins at the idea of loseing control. But I do want to do this. I just need to keep doing what I'm doing and then (hopefully ) at some point there will be no way back.

And Villagemum you are also making me feel all emotional this morning! Thank you for rescuing me from clunkheadedness. Last night I must admit I was feeling like a self obsessed fool. I'm so sorry about your MC. But it is very good that you are back and trying again. I think I said that I have a funny shaped uterus and so I have a feeling I might be headed for a MC at some point. I know that sounds gloomy but I just think if I am realistic maybe I'll cope better if it does happen. That is also one of the things that is scareing me.

But I have to say that coming on to MN this morning has just been lovely. Everybody is so nice. I really want to give everybody a group hug.

Also Jools be kind to yourself. It really is a good idea to take it easy.

Onto the more usual stuff I bd'd last night. I was a little tired but DH was all positive and it was lovely?I mean to just start the process. I'm really grateful DH is all for this because I have quite a few friends with partners that are resisting or saying no to children. It's heart breaking for them. I'm very lucky. Also tomorrow is going to be first time I have used a Ovulation Stick. I'm quite excited.

I suppose I better work now.

Yay, I am on my ttc cycle at last now!!

Deeja, don't worry, you're not a clunkhead, there's just so much to keep track of on this thread! I waited the last cycle out as I'd had a mc in September and wanted a bit of healing space. But I'm ready to try now... Know what you mean about the ttc niggles (or rather the having kids niggles), I have a lovely ds as well as a wonderful step dd, and what you say is true - being a parent opens you up to the negative as well as the positive. But if it's any help, the positive always wins out and the love you will have for your child will be the biggest thing you have ever, ever felt. In fact it will be just impossible for you to imagine life without your dc once he or she has arrived. All life involves risk and so does anything worth having - go for it!

smileycat · 20/11/2008 09:27

heeby I couldn't have put it better myself I felt the same way & still do about my DS, no one can put into words that bond you feel when that little person appears. My biggest fear now is can I love another child as much as I love this one. I know I will, but until he/she is there in front of me I guess that fear will stay with me

queenie1 · 20/11/2008 09:25

Thanks Heeby - we did do it yesterday morning so hopefully we've covered the essential time. Now just to wait for two long weeks...Big congratulations on your BFP and developing bean by the way!!!

smileycat · 20/11/2008 09:20

Qeenie my boobs get really sore just before I OV & stay tender right upto AF. I do get wet CM upto a couple of days after I OV so don't know if this sign is that helpful to determin the day you OV. If you check your cervix position that could also help you to see if you are near OV. It rises up high almost so you can't touch it & goes soft although I'm sure I OV'd yesterday & mine is still high & soft this morn..might have to have another go tonight just incase . I like temping as it does tell you that you have OV'd, although too late to time BDing but at least it puts your mind at rest that you did OV & when. If you have problems keeping to a waking time they say your temp rises about 0.1 every hour in the morning so if you normally take you temp at 7am but at the wkend you don't wake up till 8am, you just add 0.1 to whatever it reads & record this but put a little mark next to it to say you have adjusted it so that it makes sense in a few days time if temps are a little out

Heebychick · 20/11/2008 09:15

Hi queenie i didn't temp either and only went on CM really, i found that my (.)(.) would be sore/tingle just before i OV'd and during as well. The CM would turn EW for about a day and then i think i OV'd the next day, i felt it this time as well (have suffered with a cyst previously) so that helped. I would suggest you probably ov'd around the time of the pain and EWCM, but don't worry - did you BD the night before? because if you BD'd when you had the EWCM (even just a little) the swimmers should survive a fair while.

smiley have a lovely weekend away hun, and yes try not to think about the 2ww - easy for me to say hey! i think this is your month tho secretly!

deeja if it helps i totally know where you are coming from, when i was expecting our DD i had mixed emotions, we fell pg on our honeymoon and when i came back and started to tell everyone i was so very scared of how it would change us, change our lives, everyone was so pleased and although i was too i still had doubts. but i think it's totally normal and by week 10 or 12 i really changed and i have to say she is the best thing that has ever happened to me, i cannot put into words how she has made me feel complete as a person, a wife and a mum. she is truly the best thing i have ever done in my life and in so many ways my life is so much better for her being in it (in fact there isn't one single way that my life isn't better now). so my advice would be to embrace your fears, they are normal, my sister too had learning difficulties and i worried about things like that, but i know now i would love my DD no matter how she turned out - i know the meaning of unconditional love now.

It's so difficult to explain and put into words (hence the ramble) but until you've had them i think it's hard to imagine how much tummy wrenching love you have for this little person, everyone said it but i just didn't know until that first breath and first cry.

Ok i'll stop now! x

queenie1 · 20/11/2008 08:52

Jools - go easy on yourself. miscarriage is awful and a really big thing to have to cope with. Don't rush yourself. Work from home (or not at all) for as long as you feel ready. In the past I've told my line manager what was happening to me and he was really supportive. Told me to take the time off I needed and that he would cover my workload for me if necessary. (And how do I repay him? By spending my working day chatting on MN!!!)

smileycat or others who may know...I don't temp (thinking I should begin next month?) but just go on CM. Can you tell from any body signs whether or not you've Ov'd?

My boobs were tingling Tuesday and yesterday, had EWCM (though not as much as previous months) and still here a little bit and had a few twinges around the ovary area over the past couple of days. Does this sound like I've Ov'd yet or am about to? (Anxious as didn't BD last night or today and now DH is away til late Sat night and scared I'm missing my window!!)

Sorry for borderline psychotic obsession.
