Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

Thanks for the tip LJ might try lemonade... I guess that would be better than vodka which i did contemplate (not really )

LJ29 · 08/12/2008 14:41

girlwithacurl - I don't think I was pregnant, did a test on day 35 which was negative. have done some research and it does seem that this type of spotting can be caused by low progesterone, one of the side effects is a difficulty conceiving.

Anyway due to annoyingly irregular cycles etc. i have just been and bought some Agnus Castus as its meant to regulate your cycle and has known to adress hormone imbalances. Anythings worth a go!!

I mixed my grafefruit juice with lemonade and actually got quite used to it last month.

girlwithacurl · 08/12/2008 14:25

LJ - perhaps a early MC? Sometimes our bodies play tricks on us for fun though, so it might just be one of those things, sorry though

I think I finally ovulated phew... poor DP

Verykeen i thought I would give grapefruit juice a try last week... uurrrgggg... never again, I don't care how good it is for my CM nothing is worth that!

VeryKeenForABean · 08/12/2008 13:57

Sorry to hear about AF LJ - no ideas I'm afraid, just for you.

Good luck with the GP bubble, hope they listen and offer useful advice.

I realised today that I am not far off becoming a TTC obsessive! I have started drinking grapefruit juice (not as bad as I thought) too now. I got it quite cheaply from Aldi. I have not started to use OPKs as I am not organised enough to remember to not drink during the day, but that will be the next step!

By cds I should be ovulating at the weekend, so with be bding a lot towards the end of the week - DH knows what is planned!!

Hope all is well with everyone x

bubblebell1 · 08/12/2008 08:50

Hi girls!

how are you all?

STILL no AF for me and a BFN yesterday morning. i am baffled. this has never happened before. i can only assume im not ovulating. i have a drs appointment this afternoon but i am not holding out for many answers... prob be told to just wait for af.

is there anything i should ask??? tests i need.. not got a clue what to say really and scared i will just burst into tears and not tell him what i want.

good luck to you all...

olivo · 07/12/2008 20:13

LJ - sorry to hear AF arrived for you. I know what you mean about the nursery fees too. my dd is an august baby and we were really hoping she'd show up on time! Christmas sounds like it'll be great fun with two little ones; my dd is sooo into everything this year.
well, a busy week ahead for me so hopefully less time to symptom spot, but still confused about my temps. If i didnt ovulate when i thought, then no chance of pg

LJ29 · 07/12/2008 20:02

HI ladies, hope you've all had a lovely weekend. Af arrived for me yesterday on cd40. Don't understand why I had 8 days of spotting beforhand though. only ever get one or two days normally. Any ideas why this happened?

We are really disappointed as no August baby means an extra year of nursery fees. Also neer had to try so hard before. Both DCs were conceived first try. Only difference now is the extra weight I haven't managed to lose. Going to try and relax this month as starting to feel like its all tooo much effort and need to accept that it will happen when it happens. Think xmas will take my mind off things. Really ging to enjoy this year as dc's are nearly 5 and 3 and really understand and are getting excited.

olivo · 07/12/2008 12:09

LOL at 'fit to barf' . it can't be normal though, for a dh to ask questions like mine does! he's sounding as obsessed as me!I'll hold yuor hand during the 2ww, as i think that's where i am.
for temping, i think you're meant to use a special one- i use a boots digital. the temp changes are quite small so you have to see a pooint one etc of a degree. think i won't do temps next month and just rely on opks and CM.

Sunnydale · 07/12/2008 11:05

Olivo, tell me about it. I've been peeing on sticks for seven days with no clear OV result (just lots of faint positives) then finally, on my last stick, a definite +. Sadly, I was so ill with flu that night that I couldn't BD to save myself. I haven't been temping though and don't even know how to do it (do I just measure my forehead with a normal thermometer?) . Nothing seems conclusive, only heinously expensive. Ov sticks cost £20 a month, while those digital kits cost £90. Nice that your DH is taking an interest, though. Mine would rather not know too much, as the one time I mentioned EWCM he looked fit to barf. It's all such a passion killer anyway. I was feeling confident for this month but what with flu and not knowing when I OV'd, they'd have to be super-sperm to survive. And now for the dreaded 2ww... bit down about it all, but still so many months to go I guess I just need to hang in there and try to be positive.

olivo · 07/12/2008 09:09

I'm getting really stressed. having thought i oved two days ago, my temp has now dropped and i'm all confused. DH is being a nightmare as he's been reading up and wants to know what is happening - like i can tell him! i'm pleased that he's interested but he's stressing me out!!
sorry, end of rant!

HeadFairy · 06/12/2008 20:04

Evening everyone, just updating the list while we're waiting for our curry to arrive

Pippa, if you can bear it, wait until af is late definitely! It won't change the outcome, and there's nothing more satisfying than a bfp! When I tested for ds I was 5 days late and I got a really dark strong line the second the pee hit the stick, it's so much nicer than squinting at a faint line going "am I or aren't I?"

Well done wishing, you're being very brave! You certainly sound like you're having a lot of pregnancy signs. Mine kicked in big time at about 6 weeks with ds, that's why I always discount any symptoms before af's due date.

I have no symptoms (or do I? ) and I'm not thinking about it at all (promise )

Ok so I know it's way way way too early but I am already sympton spotting - someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [BLUSH]

Sunnydale · 06/12/2008 16:45

Wishing, I can't believe you are being so cool! Total respect to you! You are an example to us all...

CAn I ask what might be a stupid question? I've been in bed with flu these last 2 days - temp of 102, sweating v shivering, can't eat, agony cramps blah blah - would this affect the likelihood of conceiving? We BD'd at the right time I think, but I'm worried a high temp might jeopardise our chances. Sorry to ask, but who else can I turn to if not MN?! Man, I feel so rough! Wouldn't wish this flu on my worst enemy!

Babydust to all - here's to some more BFPs v soon

spats · 06/12/2008 14:47

anyone else due AF in next few days? I don't do testing before AF is due so wait until i am late. With ds#2 i was a week late before tested. Not sure when due, probably tomorrow will be a smear and mon and then full flow tues. Fingers crossed but not holding out much hope as don't think will happen at all. Don't mean to sound like control freak but i hate that this is something you have no control whats so ever over. Each month you get that first smear and think "here we go again" . Mind you at least this month i can enjoy xmas parties with alcohol!! x

Wishing · 06/12/2008 13:05

hey all thanks for the good wishes!!

im officailly 8 days late today bump2be!! and im rough!! really rough!

i love my food and i cant stomach anything (except jam bread!) its so wierd, bacon and egg butty made me gip!! everything makes me gip!! and i keep getting waves of nausea!!

havent tested since monday which was cd 30 i think but i hve been hear before, my plan is to hold out till next weekend!! sorry ladies but i arent tormenting myself, if af comes now i can put it down to being LATE rather that labelling anything else!

i have loads of cream cm, no itching or rash or anything else - tingly nipples, tierd and heartburn and burping and farting like mad all over the place!! constipation is bad but starting to cope with that by eating bran and drinking fybogel!!

and yes i give in im not merely observing, im SYMPTOM SPOTTING and im proud!! shoot me now if you like hahahaha but i promise i arent getting upset and obsessed!! im actually quite happy and satisfied cos i arent reching for a test everytime i pee!!

im quite happy to wait for 6 weeks to get here and take it from there, before then im concetrating on xmas!! !!

thepippy try step away from the test cos before af it isnt necessarily accurate anyway and it will just torment you!! try be strong, i will be your not testing buddy if you like!!

love to all, good luck with bding olivio, sounds like ov pains to me!!

Love to everyone else, smallone hope your visit to your mums help take your mind off it!! Sans well done for being prepared and good luck!!

xxxxxxx baby dust all round!! xxxxx

olivo · 06/12/2008 12:41

NO, thepippy, WAIT! hopefully it is implantation bleeding but i would imagine you'd still have towait a few days before you get enough hcg to get a poaitive.
step away from the test.......
and good luck to you!

ThePippy · 06/12/2008 12:35

Hello all. I am feeling a bit unsure this morning. When I found out I was pregnant in July (the one I MC'd), I had almost written off that month because I had some spotting a few days before AF was due. Having never been pregnant before I assumed the spotting was AF on her way (even though I had never experienced that before) and on the day AF was due (because she is never ever late) I kind of did the pregnancy test completely unconvinced it would be a BFP, and I was completely gobsmacked when it was.

Anyway, it is now a few days before AF is due again and I have had some spotting. I am REALLY trying not to read too much into this, but I so desperately want a BFP that I can't help myself.

I have done so many tests the day before AF arrived though that I promised myself after the last one I did that I wouldn't test in future until I was officially late. But there is a test in the bathroom cupboard. And it is calling my name.

Why does time go so bloody slowly! I feel like I spend most of my time wishing my life away.

Anyway, rant over! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

olivo · 06/12/2008 11:18

sans, i had done an opk the day before and think i got a positive - i couldnt remember which line was the test and which the control but there were two so i guess even if the test line was the lighter, there was something going on. felt so rough last night that we didnt bd but we had done the last couple of mights so hopefully...
smallone, fingers crossed for you but enjoy your few days away anyway.

smallone · 06/12/2008 09:05

Morning all, I'm going to my mums today till tues. CD24 for me today and I have mild af cramps and on off boob ache - but I've had this pg and not pg. Have packed af supplies in preparation for a 26 day cycle, but otherwise it should take my mind off it till at least wednesday, and af due by thurs.

Got a GP appointment for my coeliac results on friday, so may be tempted to test fri morning. Has anyone got an accurate clearblue result the day after af due? I know what it says on the packet, but things aren't always like that in real life are they?

Good luck everyone
x

Sans04 · 06/12/2008 03:12

Hello
sorry for those who had af, and congratulation to Ilickyoursleev es.

I am on CD7 I am going to start testing ov from today as I ovulate early usually, amd going to do DP this month hope it work for me.
wishing sorry that you're going through the hard time I know how that sound like, but you're really brave and I am sure you'll going to get through that strongly and fingers crossed for you.
Issy a very good luck to you this cycle hope you get BFP even befor 3ww fingers crossed for you too.
olivo hope that pain was a ov pain it sound like that, but have you tested in the same day?
baby dust to all

olivo · 05/12/2008 18:24

evening all! well, i surpassed myself today by walking round work with an opk stick hanging out of my pocket - i can't believe none of the children noticed, but i think i got away with it!
Think I may have oved today as i got a really really agonising sharp pain in my right side, almost in my hip, this morning. it only lasted a few minutes and then nothing but it was horrible. does this sound like ov pain?

hope everyone else is ok, sorry to hear some are very despondent; ttc can be so draining. Here's to some good news soon - we must be due a BFP this weekend?

BabyBump2B · 05/12/2008 17:07

wishing You are being so strong waiting - but you're killing me here When was AF due again?

Issy42 · 04/12/2008 23:32

Sorry AF arrived smileycat and Rip. Headfairy - it probably won't be a 3ww as AF will arrive at usual time, but it's just another week before it's considered a real positive. Bubble (lol at the manflu) and Wishing - hope you get an answer soon. Olivo - yes you can get temp dip just before ov. Hope you feel better soon. NewHereHelp - stay focused!

Sunnydale - yes we are on same CD and I'm heading for a 29 day cycle this time so we will be eagerly not awaiting AF at the same time. I can't symptom spot because the hcg tricks me into feeling pg, so if you catch me doing it stop me! Lol at Ov in the office - I use the loo which is one on it's own and tucked away and hope noone comes in and wonders why I'm taking so long.

Babydust to all

Wishing · 04/12/2008 22:32
