I had a MC in August and have had two proper periods since so now TTC#2 (have 1 DS, 29 months).

My cycle is normally quite short @ 27 days so am starting to use my OPK's tomorrow.

LMP was 25th Oct so if I get a BPF, EDD would be 1st August!

BTW up here in Scotland, the school year intake is March - Feb so everyone wants a March-October baby!

I am not only trying for an August baby, I also was an August baby. It wasn't too bad being one of the youngest - I got a bit of stick at school when Maggie the milk snatcher took away the milk but the three youngest in each class still got it for a few extra months and it was a pain having to lie to get into all my friends' 18th birthday celebrations, but other than that no problems at all. And I only had to go to school on my birthday once (when I lived abroad). I know some people worry that younger children don't do so well at school, but I made it all the way to university. I think it helped that my clever mum wrote me computer games to practice for exams - luckily you can buy these things off the shelf now.

Also means you won't have to pay nursery fees for so long, as someone pointed out on another thread.

fingers really crossed for you, WIshing. I don't want to get your hopes up but I had this with dd, brown then red when wiping, and was implantation bleed. i really hope this is the same for yuo. good luck.

well i woke up today happier than i have all week and when i went to loo i hd a brownish discharge again when i wipe, no pain no cramps and doesnt feel like af but there is definatley some bleeding - i have been knicker checking like made since and it has now turned more red and blood like but only when i wipe?? its not actually getting into my knickers, its only when i wipe??

still no pains!?!?!?! OR CRAMPS??!?!?! Normally when i get af i get relly bad cramps an hour before and then full flow, no messing and it last 3 days - this is so wierd and i cant take much more - what is going on!! tears are the only thing thats actually flowing!!

Hello! Can i join you? I already have an august baby, and I have few concerns about her being the very youngest in the year; I'd be more worried if she was the oldest, but this is a personal choice! I was willing her to arrive on time!!
I am on CD3 of my first cycle off ttc dc2, have only just come off the Pill, no idea of cycle length as i was lucky enough to conceive dd1 stright away.

Having taken some time out to mope, I'm now back in the saddle so to speak! Having had such a long cycle, I've missed the July thread altogether and made my way straight over here!! I think I am on about cd 11 (where exactly do you count from if things take a while to get started (sorry if tmi!)?? I think my cycle is about 37 days on average. We are trying for 1st intrauterine pregnancy (last was ectopic). Good luck to all

Makka-I was thinking back to how dh and I conceived my dd and have fond memories of bding sometimes twice a day for over a week around ov! Dont have quite the same energy levels now-no wonder its taking us longer! Hi chubby!

Hi everybody- it so nice to be on this thread where everyone is wanting the same thing. I am on cd11 today and am following the 'procedure' we used to conceive our ds- eventually- and that is to bd every other day from cd8 to cd 20 thereby covering all ood luck ladies- ov/lp possibilities. Lets face it, you don't haveto work our ov etc if you follow this and as shattered as i am with my little boy i feel i cannot afford to 'mess about'. GOOD LUCK LADIES- i mean that.

Hi everyone!
2manychips our circumstnces sound so similer-my child -a son- is 16 months and I'm 36 next week, lets hope our age doesn't hinder us anymore than it should...
My son's sleeping through but is incredibly hard work during the day- enjoyable but hard !!I've only just found the energy to start to actively ttc..must try harder I do so want to have more than ne child- i always did but before i had my son i thought i wouldn't even get the chsnce to hold one baby.

Please can I join too? Was on the last 3 months lists but no joy yet- just worked out EDD if I did somehow fall pregnant this month and would be early August. I'm TTC#3 and was everso lucky with my last 2 that I conceived straightaway without even trying almost! This time things are taking a bit longer, but DD (16 months) is hard work at the moment bless her and we're not getting much sleep, so not sure if that plays a part in whether my body's ready to conceive...or perhaps limiting the opportunities/energy for BDing! I have complicated pregnancies and will need a CVS with the next if/when it happens so I am TTC with some trepidation...but we do really want #3 (even though I know how lucky we are to already have 2...)
