Im trying for an August baby

thanks izzy!! i wont wear him out, its him thast needs to slow down which is nice - he is so keen for a bean too now!!

im definately not doing all thst early testing and getting worked up again this month i lost nearly 2 weeks and became a reculse!! i need to just take this month as it comes, im using the ov sticks and persona more to keep a track of whats going on with my cycle and if we hit lucky then it will be like an early xmas present - thanks for thinking of me hope you are ok xxxxx

Hi Wishing - nice to hear from you again, have been thinking of you, and glad you're feeling better.

When I had my mc at Easter I was told to miss the first month afterwards, but I spoke with the nurse about it this time and even thought she thinks I had another mc she was OK about going ahead again straight away - we reasoned that if I hadn't done that test I never would have known as my AF actually arrived on the right day. I think the missing a month thing is more about letting your uterus get back to the right size and making sure there's nothing left behind (sorry - no nice way of putting it) etc so if it's an early mc then I guess that's less of a problem.

welcome to all the new faces and hello to all the old ones!! im still sorry i havent posted for a while!! where has the week gone, cant quited believe i am on cd 11 already!! am pretty much back to normal now after loast months mc - glad to see youve joined the thread head fairy thanks for all your help last month! and everyone else!! im so much more positive now - this has to be out month ladies!! It was the weekend before i felt back to myself and this has been my first proper week back at work and i have gone quite a few days with no tears so im extra proud of myself!! dh is well into baby dancing this month so dont think that will be a problem just lets hope we hit the right days! im trying a persona this month, though it does say not to follwing a mc - saying that it was so early i thought it cant hurt to try can it!?!?! all im doing is peeing on a stick and im pretty good at that!! im also using ov sticks going to start those tomorrow cd 12 has have no idea when i might ovulate, i have had a few funny cycles so just baby dancing all over!! im a bit worried though as last month dh got a bit sore so i dont want to wear him out before the critical time!!

I mix it with lemonade and its much nicer. I don't think it matters as long as you have it.

It makes for intersting reading and quite afew are using it.

Ray81 from another thread has used it last month and got her BFP, she changes it slightly, she bded on the morning and evening on the 3 days that it says and bded a total of 17 times. I am going to see if my DH is willing to try that

I would err against doing test before AF is due, they can be a double edged sword as according to stats so many pgs end before your AF is due so an early test just gets your hopes up.

Hi HeadFairy - sorry to hear you've had a mc. I had one end of Aug and got +ve from OPKs two weeks after. Have heard that your hormones can give false readings after mc but I've also heard of people falling pg post mc without ever getting another AF - so you never know...

Sleeves - thanks for your thoughts. IUI was usual game of hide and seek but not too bad. Just the dreaded 2ww which at 5dpo already feels like forever!

Headfairy - my cycle changed completely after mc used to have around 35 day cycles and now is around 26.

Bluebell - First response test can be used up to 5 days before day period is due (even tho advert says 6) but only detect a certain percentage of pregnancies early. Also you can get a positive if you test early and then a negative later if doesn't implant properly so you need to weigh up if you would rather not know (I went through that last cycle). Ov sticks are BOGOF in Superdrug (5 for £16, so 10) and Clearblue has 20% in Sainsburys at the mo.

someone told me that one make is on bogof in superdrug. i got mine from boots - first response were on bogof, and then their own make were.they were standard ones, not digital.

if i dont concieve this month i shall buy opks... does anyone know a good place to get them from?
