My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

sorry for sounding stupid..... whats angus castus, lp epo and dh plan...

spats · 15/11/2008 14:08

i have decided to take agnus castus today in a bit to get my lp from 10-11 days to 14 so gives more chance for implantation. So no i take that, EPO and grapefruit juice and have come off my daily antihistamine as that drys up the mucus. And am going to to DH plan. THis is getting more technical than a NASA mission!!! x

SuziBhoy · 15/11/2008 13:30

hey bubblebell1

firstly... im sorry to hear bout your sister. sounds like you had a good night of reminiscing (spelling?).

IKWYM with the pains, i had them last week, but trying not to speculate. as for your BFP, probably too early to test so dont count it . fingers crossed for you though.

bubblebell1 · 15/11/2008 13:15

hi everyone!

hope all is going well.

i went out last night with my sisters as it was 4 years since my youngest sister died

i had such a lovely time chatting over dinner that i didnt realise i had consumed a whole bottle of red wine.

i feel terribly guilty incase i am with bean so did a early test which was bfn
altho i am thinking i could still be pg as im only on cd22 looking back im wondering why the hell i did take it. firstly its a waste of a perfectly good test and secondly i dont think you can tell 8 days before af is due

but im still having achey pains, like pressure down below with some sharp bursts that ive had since last wkend. i am driving myself mad. has anyone experienced pains that last a week or more?

xxxx

SuziBhoy · 15/11/2008 13:01

well keep us informed issy, i think everyone needs to hear someone getting a bfp to give us all some inspiration. hope you get yours!

Wishing · 15/11/2008 12:56

hello all - arent going to do another terribly long post as it took me ages and we are seems so busy its too much to read!! Welcome Sunny!! im so glad you cam over - i told you everyone was lovely!! i still cant get over you though i was american?? what gave you that impression!! hahahaha

Dont despair izzy with your bfn it is still very early days and try hang off eaqrly testing if you can!!

home thats sounds like a good plan and well done for getting organised!! interesting about your comment on getting more stressed and how you notice your cycle increases! i was expecting to ov next weekend with all the messes in my last few cycles and yesterday morning which was cd 13 i peed on my persona stick half asleep and got the shock of my life when the litte "O" came up - i got it today too and on my opk tests so it looks like im ov early - before all early mc i usually got a positve opk about cd 15/16 so i was very shocked - we have bd but i am really not going to stress and symtpom spot based on what you said about stress and your cycle home - i have been so realxed and chilled and not worried about things over the last week and yesterday when i got the "O" i went in to a blind raging hormonal panic!! i was a complete state!! i cant do that to myself again so once i have bd the weekend away im forgetting about it all - and i am going to do it this month!! if any of you see me caving send me a virtual slap!! - dont worry sunny dale i wont disappear again!! i will still post to say hi and see how you are all doing but im really going to try and see if i can forget it all!! and if af does come i can concetrate on xmas!! and keep monitoring my cycle!!

Thanks for info on acupuncture yellow it was really interesting and ckeared a few things up for me!!!!

Sorry sunnydale i cant help you with your queries i have no idea what goes on inside me!!

love to all and take care - try not to obsess if your on the 2ww or 1ww - hang in there bubble!! and bd your behind off if you at the ov stage!! anyone early on in their cycle enjoy all the things you can do guilt free xxxxx

Issy42 · 15/11/2008 12:15

Thanks verykeen and bluesatinsash.

Caved in this morning. BFN . I know it's still early and a test the strength I used would only pick up around 52% of pregnancies at day -4, but still feel sad. I'm still undecided about whether it's better to be let down gently by testing early and hoping you could be in that 48%/13%/3% or get the crushing blow of that temperature drop at day -1. If I'm not pg then I'll still stay here as ov'd early this time so should technically still be on July. Next time is my last attempt though, as can't afford anymore and hospital already hinting at me to give up last cycle.

Good luck everyone xxx.

olivo · 15/11/2008 09:27

morning!
yes, spats, i did mean the website, not an actual monitor, sorry to confuse!yellowflowers, your accupuncturist sounds really helpful, i hope it works for yuo. i have been going for 'stress relief' but have told her we are now ttc so she will focus on that next month.
blue - lol at 'RL getting in the way'. good luck for the next week.

bluesatinsash · 15/11/2008 08:08

I meant OPK of course

bluesatinsash · 15/11/2008 08:08

Morning all and welcome sunnydale

I've not been on for a few days - RL getting in the way. Just had a read through and catch up! Glad your feeling better Izzy - totally relate to you wanting to be pg by the time your mc due date is here. We've just booked a big extended family weekend away next June and I have to stop myself fantasising that I'll be waddling around by then...

yellowflowers - glad you enjoyed your acupuncture session

I'm now in 1WW territory. AF is due on DH's birthday next Sat. Trying not to symptom spot but certainly have no tingly boobs or suchlike.

Happy bd for all those who have hit the POK jackpot this weekend

Hi and babydust to everyone else x

Off to the gym now for my Sat. morning session, keeps me busy and my mind of babies for an hour!

HomeintheSun · 15/11/2008 06:22

Hi Wishing and Verykeen I haven't bought a chart I've just made one on word by adding a table with the amount of rows and collums that I need then I colour the ones that have the same amount of days the same colour ie. 29 days in Orange 30 days in green. It looks the more stressed out I get the longer my cycle is, for example in July my inlaws came out to stay for 2 weeks and then my dh went away for 4.5 weeks until the middle of August I had a 34 day cycle in July and 35 in August. (just wanna clear up the fact that dh goes away quite a lot so I'm used to it but this time DS stopped sleeping and was a nightmare, so was very stressed.)

VeryKeenForABean · 14/11/2008 23:06

I had the Superdrug ones, but have thrown the boxes away. Am pretty sure they were from 10 units though.

The ones I have ordered off ebay are from 10 unitsbut the seller site says you can specify for 25 units if you are on treatment etc.

HTH x

Issy42 · 14/11/2008 22:48

Sunnydale - I bought the Advanced ones too, but the 25mIU (I thought the 10mIU would just pick up my hcg shot for longer). I tried one out only 3 days after my hcg shot and the line was quite pale which surprised me as had 6500IU of hcg injected only 3 days before, so should have had about 4000IU left. My packet doesn't tell me how long to dip for though so have been doing about 5/6 seconds. Also the box says any line is positive but the individual packet says line has to be as dark as the control line (like an ov test). Maybe they were so cheap (£5.50 for 20) because of incorrect packaging. Just wondering if your instructions were any clearer as presume the strips work in the same way as are same brand?

BTW does anyone know how sensitive Superdrug tests are? They were on offer last week but couldn't see any strength indication on box.

yellowflowers · 14/11/2008 22:43

Hi spats - I think you are referring to fertility monitors and olivo is referring to the website Fertility Friend.

Sunnydale · 14/11/2008 22:34

Hi bubblebell and thanks to everyone for their warm welcomes - it cheered me up!

Try this website: accessdiagnostics.co.uk

I don't know if they are the cheapest on the market, but I bought the Advanced Ultra HCG Home Pregnancy Tests which detect just 10miu of pregnancy hormone (HCG). Very sensitive. Normal pregnancy tests detect minimum 20-25miu. They are way cheaper than shop-bought ones but don't come in the plastic casing, ie are just paper strips you dip in your pee via a cup.

olivo · 14/11/2008 20:16

inputting symptoms, temps, opks and cm. but it told me my symptoms don't match! bloody computers!

spats · 14/11/2008 19:53

how does the fertility monitor know? forgive my ignorance of this method?

olivo · 14/11/2008 19:43

hello everyone and welcome to those who've joined us. i'm obsessing once again, even though fertility friend has pretty much told me I've no chance this month . am enjoying a small glass of wine to drown my sorrows.
hope someone else has better news. fingers crossed for everyone.

spats · 14/11/2008 19:38

Issy42 · 14/11/2008 17:51

Sunnydale - more cross posting. Thank-you for your kind words. Have a treat for dinner tonight and hope it makes you feel better.

Issy42 · 14/11/2008 17:49

Sorry LJ29 - we must have cross posted earlier.

And welcome Sunnydale - sorry didn't say it before - got interrupted at the end of my lunchbreak and just quickly press post. I only saw a bit of the other thread you are talking about, so apologies if I missed something but I really think you just got caught up in some cross posting between old friends, so don't be scared of joining threads. I've only been on mumsnet for a month and so far everyone has been really nice. And for what it's worth, I really admire your bravery and courage.

Sunnydale · 14/11/2008 17:48

Thanks yellowflowers, niceness back to you too. While you've been seeing an acupuncturist, I've been seeing a reflexologist. She makes me feel much better. Although I really feel down today
Issy, your situation sounds really trying and I hope you have some good news soon. You are very brave and should be proud of yourself.
