Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

OP posts:
smileycat · 20/11/2008 08:54

Meant to also add I would have been CD11 for my dates & FF put me at CD14 when I actually OV'd

smileycat · 20/11/2008 08:50

Lilypie I thought I OV'd early last month (was only doing temping) as I had the same as you lots of EWCM & my temp went up for 2 days, it then came down on day 3 & went up again on day 4 & stayed up. FF put the second temp rise as my OV date, I had done lots of BDing for my dates but only one for FF (hense not pg last month). This might be whats happening to you. I've backed it up this month with OPK sticks so I'm 100% sure now that my temp rise this morning is def my OV finished..good luck keep BDing just incase

RipMacWinkle · 20/11/2008 08:46

Morning all - how is everyone?

Sorry to hear about af appearing Issy and Sunnydale.

I saw on other threads that Makka and ChubbyDick are out so I moved them off the list - I hope they don't mind.

On CD15 here. Done a bit of BDing these last few days but not sure if we started a bit late. Trying (say this every month but this month it's true) to stay focussed on work, DS, basically anything except ttc. We'll see if that works. Or if I end up as obsessed as other months!

Anyway, love to you all - here's hoping August is our month

Morning ladies could I have some opinions please.

Yesterday morning I had a big temp dip ov pain and ewcm but only CD9!!This morning temp is on the rise but still have ov pain and ewcm.

What do you think early ov or just my body being tricky.

I rugby tackled DP when I got home from work last night and I'll get the bugger tonight too just to be on the safe side.

SpecialOffer · 20/11/2008 07:20

Oh and please could I be added to the list
Specialoffer TTC#2 usual cycle is 28-32 days CD23

SpecialOffer · 20/11/2008 07:18

Well I caved in yesterday, way too early to test, and got a BFN, am not going to test again until next Monday as AF is not due for almost a week.

I have got some of the cheapies off e-bay, do people find them reliable? They are a bargin!! I am also looking to get some ov sticks from there, anyone had any experience. Don't think i would be any good at temp!!

smileycat · 20/11/2008 07:11

Hi Evie on the temping side. I do my temps I got a +ive 2 days ago & my temp did a big jump this morning showing that I have now def OV'd. It tends to stay low while you are OVing & then jumps up when the progesterone levels kick in & then should stay up until AF is on her way. Can I join you all on the 2WW I will be away for the wkend from tonight so wont be able to check in again till Monday but at least it will take my mind of early symptom spotting then only 1 week left to wait as I only have a 12 day LF

HeadFairy · 20/11/2008 01:17

oops, forgot to add. Sorry about af Issy

HeadFairy · 20/11/2008 01:16

Great news sunnydale... so nice to know where you are.

Wishing - I'm sure everyone's different. My sister never felt any implantation pains, mine were so definite, I knew what they were even though I'd never been pg. Good luck with not symptom spotting.

FWIW I always feel like I'm pg when I'm not, someone told me that after ov your progesterone levels rise up a bit in anticipation of implantation of a fertilised egg. If at about 10dpo there's no fertilised egg the progesterone levels start to drop off. Raised progesterone levels can mimic pregnancy signs, sore boobs, nausea and so on. I always ignore any signs until af is late as I usually put it down to changing progsterone levels. When I was pg with ds, pregnancy symptoms didn't really start properly until I was about 7 weeks pg. It was noticeably different to the odd waves of nausea I usually get on the 2ww, much much stronger, wretching and heaving but thankfully no sickness.

Anyway, that's my experience. I'm terrible at practising what I preach though

Issy42 · 20/11/2008 00:19

Hi all, just reposting the list with me at the bottom as AF arrived today. Sunnydale - added you too (sort of) - sorry AF arrived for you but also glad for you that your body is back to working properly.

Sorry, home very late tonight so not had chance to catch up with all the posts, but hope everyone is well and good luck for all those testing soon.

LJ29 · 19/11/2008 22:04

Wishing you do sound like you're starting to symptom spot honey! After seeing just how distressed you were last month please don't do it to yourself. I'm all for being positive but also think that we put ourselves through the most dreadful trauma by getting ourselves excited every month. Try distraction techniques, through yourself into work, read a new book, do some exercise etc.

We're all here to support you!!

Wishing · 19/11/2008 21:58

Sunnydale · 19/11/2008 21:16

Hello All
well, I'm DEFINITELY out for this month as AF arrived in fine style this morning! As someone who hasn't had AF since May, I'm possibly the only person on this thread to be OVERJOYED to have a period! Okay, so I'm not PG but on the bright side, my body is working again - yeehaa!

To those currently symptom-spotting: not sure if this helps or hinders, but one of the very, very first signs I was PG (before sore boobs, nausea, dizziness, whatever) was constipation! Sorry if this is TMI, but I'd really swear I needed a poo then have trouble going. I also had really bad stomach pains, almost to the point I thought I had food poisoning. No way did I think I was PG, yet those were the first signs for me: really sore tummy, not as though AF was arriving but much sharper pains. Sorry for sharing! Good luck to all and can't wait for some BFPs - I feel sure they're round the corner.

HeadFairy · 19/11/2008 20:40

Hello everyone, last night shift tonight, better get my beauty sleep to start some serious bd'ing over the next week or so. I'm feeling quite left out

homeinthesun - I know what you mean about just using dh for his sperm. Sometimes I jump on dh and he usually asks me "you ovulating?" in that sceptical way... I throw in the odd non baby making nookie just so I can innocently say "me? no babes, it's just because I love you so much" Can get very routine otherwise can't it?

Implantation pains.... sorry, can't remember who asked the question... when I conceived ds I had very strong implantation pains on New Years Eve... now according to my dates I must have ov'd on about the 28th/29th December, so I'm not sure about the whole 7-10 days thing. Maybe I've got very short tubes or something as it's usually three DPO that I implant. It was the same with the pregnancy I miscarried. I think I ov'd on the saturday, and I told myself if I feel those sharp pains on Tuesday then I'm pg. Lo and behold, sharp pains on Tuesday. I was sceptical, as I thought I'd probably made myself feel them as I'd thought about it, but I was pg, so I can't have imagined them.

Anyway, that's my experience, everyone's different though.

Glad to hear you're feeling so much more relaxed now wishing, keep it up. Good luck to everyone else on the 2ww xx

HomeintheSun · 19/11/2008 20:28

I set out to bd everyother day between 13 and 24 but it's not worked out that way because DS has been up a lot in the night so we've only done it 3 times on CD12,14 and 16 I think I ovulated about cd 14 so hopefully we've done enough, think were going to carry on bd just for the fun of it cause I don't want dh to think I only want him for his sperm.

Wishing · 19/11/2008 19:43

hey all!! so many posts to catch up on!! hello to all the new faces by the way!! Evie i have read that it is possible to get a LH surge and not ovulate and also gt a false LH surge a few days before you get another a few days later and then ovulate! i have read this on the net though so i dont know how reliable it was - i think it may have been on the baby centre website but dont quote me! i would just baby dance away to be sure!!!

sorry ladies but cant personally comment on everyones posts as i woiuld be here all night bubble, dont give up yet! xxxxx

i dont know whats going on with me! Today is 5 days since i got the little "O" on my persona and i really do not feel myself, im not obsessing by any means! (Hence the lack of posts from me!) and i really havent been thinking much about ttc with all thats gone on over the last few months but today i had some reddish brown stains when i went to the loo - sorry if tmi! and i have terrible cramps really painful! and boonbs are sooooooooo tender!! im actually protecting them has have a fear they may get knocked and it hurts!! someone slap me cos this is way too soon isnt it!!?! i arent even looking for symtpoms but i cant help notice these things!!! AAAaaaaarrrggghhH!!!!

olivo · 19/11/2008 19:36

evie- if it was me, i'd be inclined to go with the opks as i'm not 100 % reliable with temping - not always awake at the same time etc etc. then again, why not pounce on dh on his return anyway, "just in case"?!

has your temp gone up or just stayed the same?

evie2000 · 19/11/2008 19:08

HI all, sorry to jump in but I have a question for those who temp and test OV sticks. I got the OV test positive when I expected it but my temp has not risen or done anything. Is it possible I still haven't ovulated if you got a positive on the ovulation sticks or is it possible your temp doesn't rise? DH is away on business but back tonight and I'm wondering if I should be pouncing on him in case I didn't ovulate when I should have done.
Anyway thanks for any thoughts to you all and hope everyone doing ok holding out for the testing. I always end up testing and seeing the bfn is so depressing so this month I have decided not to test as we're going to be on holiday and I can't face the downer. Better to let nature take its course I think....be strong! I can say that now but check me out in 2 weeks when i'm desperate to test....

olivo · 19/11/2008 18:42

bd-ing for fun , smiley? what's that?
bubble, i thought i might do a sneaky test on sunday as dh is away, if AF hasn't arrived. that'd be around 13 days since my probable ov. not holding out much hope though.
