My details are

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

OK, I'm going to 'fess up, feel free to tell me I'm being idiotic. I've had really strong cramps since yesterday. I promise I'm not symptom spotting!! They feel a bit different to the implantation pains I had last time, but not entirely. Don't know what to think. I hate ttc, why can't we just go down to John Lewis and pick up a baby when we want one, without any of this am I, aren't I bollocks! phew vent over, I'm going back to ignoring these pains. As you were

RipMacWinkle · 01/12/2008 20:20

Am sitting here feeling pretty

Not due on till Thursday but got woken up during the night last night with really bad cramps. That's definitely not normal. However, cramps have continued all day so I figure af is well on her way.

Trying to feel positive but with DH away I'm feeling blue (and a bit emotional which is another sign af is on her way )

Hope everyone who is still on for this month has better luck

x

HomeintheSun · 01/12/2008 20:04

Hi Wishing the psychic sounds really good I'm really into that, DH thinks it's a load of rubbish but I'd love to go and see one. I feel better about AF arriving although it's not like it normally is as it's very light at the moment.
I've joined ebay this pm and I'm going to get some ovulation sticks should I get any brand or are some better than others?

olivo · 01/12/2008 18:35

hello everyone.SOrry to hear about these confusingly long cycles for some; really hope you get some answers soon.
wishing at the psychic! it must feel really comforting to know your gran is on your side.
warmseabreeze and homeinthesun, sorry to hear about af, glad you're staying with us.
headfairy, pmsl at the swimmers on the scan

nothing new to report here, shattered as usual! cold and cough still here so feeling sorry for myself but will hopefully bd tonight anyway!

HeadFairy · 01/12/2008 17:42

Oh no! 3ww! That's just too much I find the 2ww bad enough Poor you!

Wishing · 01/12/2008 17:40

thanks head fairy - dont worry dh is still sceptical and he was sat with me!! hahahahahaha

i think maybe i have 3ww!!

HeadFairy · 01/12/2008 17:15

Wishing - perhaps you're so chilled because your grandmother is sending you good vibes I didn't mean to knock the psychic by the way, I'm sure I'd be convinced too if it was as accurate as you say, and right in front of me.

With regards to your long Luteal Phase, perhaps your cycle has changed since your mc, or maybe things are still settling down a bit. Do you know what day you ov'd? Did you feel it? I know I ov'd on cd15 this month because it felt like I'd been kicked in the ovary !

I'm still not convinced about the 20 minutes bit I'm afraid. I think quite a few swimmers are up in the right sort of area as soon as your dh has ejaculated. My friend went for a scan once, she'd had some ladies and gentlemen the night before (not ttc, just fun - imagine that ) Anyway, she had lept up and washed herself straight away as she had to get up early for the scan as it was before work. It wasn't a normal scan, it was an investigative one so they were magnifying things quite large, and the sonographer was laughing away because she could see loads of little swimmers wriggling around in her tubes My friend was very

Wishing · 01/12/2008 17:08

thanks everyone for the nice comments, i know a lot of people are septical which is fine, we cant all be the same can we but i must admit being there made me view things a bit differently - anyway, still no af!! cant find much on a long lh phase!! im pretty sure i must have ov as im using persona monitor but this is the 3rd month period has been late!!?? i know how you feel bubble and suzi - its hrd isnt it, i am alot more chilled this month though!! hope you are ok - sending you big hugs!!

in relation to little swimmer coming back out again - i was told you are best to lie flat after for 20 mins but i know so many who havent!!

xxxx

girlwithacurl · 01/12/2008 17:07

Hi very , I have a longer cycle and have adapted the DP a bit. I followed instructions on the CPK which tells you when to start according to the length of your cycle (except I compromised and started in between.. day 13 for me), otherwise very expensive and annoying having to do it for too long (can't drink for 2 hours etc etc..)
so every other night, and CPKs from day 13... no positive for me and I am on day 16... I am hoping for tomorrow as that would fit with my cycle, although my CM doesn't seem to be playing ball
Good Luck!

VeryKeenForABean · 01/12/2008 16:46

Hi all, sorry to hear you're still in the confusion zone suzi & bubble

I have started the deanna plan this cycle, but am wondering if it tells you anywhere how to adjust it for a longer cycle. ie - not starting opks so early in the cycle. Has anyone with a longer cycle tried adapting it? Otherwise I can see myself doing opks for a fortnight!!

Baby dust all

bubblebell1 · 01/12/2008 15:26

thanks suzi have a lovely time this weekend.hopefully we will have some news either way when your back xxxx

SuziBhoy · 01/12/2008 15:25

thanks girls.

bubble its so frustrating isnt it? but as u said i will still keep trying and have some fun and who knows what will happen. away to ireland with dp for a break on thur so hopefully if im relaxed things will get back to normal. good luck to you.

bubblebell1 · 01/12/2008 15:20

hi girls,
suzi im in the same boat still no af and a bfn this morn.. i read on fertility friend that sometimes this happens if you dont ovulate or have a delayed ovulation. it says to keep having regular sex and keep charting so as to predict if you ovulate now or in a few weeks etc.. i am bding every day when i can but sometimes every other day even tho i have sinusitus (sp never heard of it before) which i am proud of.

wishing nice to hear that someone is looking after you from the other side. i hope that you get your bfp soon.

Good luck to all you others fingers crossed for more BFPs soon

smallone · 01/12/2008 15:17

Sorry Suzi, I hope to see you on the list again soon [hugs]

HeadFairy · 01/12/2008 15:01

Sorry to hear that Suzi I hope af comes soon so you can start trying again.

SuziBhoy · 01/12/2008 14:56

okay ive done a test and got a BFN, so i am ruling out that i am pg, so i am just waiting for my AF to return so i can start again. I am going to take myself off the list until i know exactly where i am in my cycle. Im still here though.

HeadFairy · 01/12/2008 14:46

Wishing, that's a great story. I'm afraid I'm pretty sceptical, but if you believe those things then I'm sure you'll get your bfp soon

Suzi, good luck testing, let us know how it goes. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Spats, you've done all you can, it's just time to sit back and wait now. As regards standing up after bd... when I was having investigations for subfertility the consultant at the hospital said it's not necessary to lie with your legs in the air or anything like that. It's probably best just to lie down and have a post bd cuddle for a couple of mins and that's all you need to do. Ejaculation sends the little swimmers pretty far up anyway and there are millions of them too so if some come out it's not the end of the world. I've always felt that I want the ones that are nippy and first out the gates to be the ones that fertilise my eggs, it always makes me think of the old insult "so you were the fastest sperm your daddy had?"

spats · 01/12/2008 13:17

just managed to log in on work computer. laptop still broken. Am on 2ww tried to do DP but didn't work too well as DH got bit stressed out by the responsibility on his shoulders and couldn't (shall we say) perform!! so did CD8, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 18 which uis a pretty good go!. Did get pos opk on CD14 so hopefully in with a chance. By the way TMI i know but if you stand up too soon do all the "little swimmers" come out? As i went to toilet once and bits came out. I did lie foir about 5 mins first though. Congrats to those with BFP, hugs for those with BFN and heres waiting for the BFP for those on the 2WW.

Wishing that sounds like someone is watching down on you, good luck for next month and please to see you are soo much more relaxed this month. x

SuziBhoy · 01/12/2008 11:31

wishing i feel so emotional reading your post. that was lovely (well except from the BFN part, sorry about that). You sound like you are really head strong and together. hope you get what you want for the future x

smallone thats what im hoping for good luck on your 2ww.

Frustration is deffo the word ilikeyoursleeves, so do you know what im going to do today.......... im going to go buy another pg test. lol i did so well waiting, but this is rediculous now. im actually laughing at myself while typing this, as this isnt me, im normally V strong.

good luck to everyone testing soon

Wishing · 01/12/2008 10:39

hello all!! congrats trying! thats fab news this really does seem to be a lucky thread - lets hope we get a few more coming through!! well i think im out ladies, no af and nosign of it but i have tested this morning and i got BFN with a cb digital so i am by no mean holding out any hope! i dont feel pg so i know i was daft, ive had some pretty bad cramps since ov and constipated but thats all - today is cd 31 and got a +ive smily face on my person on cd 13 so by my reckoning i ov cd 14/15. so is it possible to have a long lh phase??? it hasnt always been like this for up until my 1st mc i was like clockwork!!

anyway the reason why i tested before you all give me a good telling off!! .........

last night i went to a psychic night with dh who was very cynical but we thought it would be interesting and i must confess i have a very open mind about this things and do believe we are being watched over by our loved ones!! anyway the psychic asked if there was a Rachel in the room! (thats me!) and after a few minutes i put my hand up - i wont go into all the details but he was telling me stuff that he couldnt have known! and he said it was coming from a older lady on my mums side - my grandma im sure. She died when i was younger and dh never met her - i dont really talk about her too much and this pyschis was telling me stuff that ony my grandma would know! before he went on to tell us we had recently got married or i was with anyone he said your grandma wants you to know you will get your wish - he just looked at me and said your trying for a baby and dont give up. He went on to say what id been thinking - i mean exactky what id been thinking and said my grandma knew waht i was worrying about but to put those ideas about saving 5thousand for ivf cos i wouldnt need it!! Combined with the fact before he even started and he was introuducing himself he was telling us what he could do etc he went on to say that he knew there were 3 ladies in the room who could possibly be pg and looked at me and smiled - i didnt read much into tht at the time but when i went on to talk directly to me i did wonder!! ............anyway so i tested today but got a bfn!! but for the first time im not going to get upset, im going to get on with my xmas shopping and wait for af to come to town and stay stress free!! Cos i know it has to be going to happen for me now!!

for anyone who thinks ive gone nuts over night i havent - this guy was good, he did some very detailed in deepth readings to a number of people in the room and he couldnt have just known that stuff, he knew a funny detail about something that happened to my veil as well!!

well love to all hope everyone is ok!! Nive and sticky thoughts from me to anyone with a bfp - baby dust and fertile thoughts coming to anyone who is waiting for a bfp and anyone who has af to stay enjoy a large glass of wine or 2 while she is here!! xxxx

girlwithacurl · 01/12/2008 10:14

Hello, everyone, just catching up on the weekends antics! Congratulations BabyBump2B and trying
Sorry to all those that are out for August... stay with us though, its great having all the support, I for one am Very grateful for everyones advice etc. I have also learnt so much about my body, how did I get to my age and not realise that my CM changes throughout my cycle, I had no idea, I feel like I am the most unobservant person in the world!
I find temping hard though as an insomniac, I am hoping as I never sleep well there is at least consistancy...

smileycat · 01/12/2008 09:48

Our bodies are horrible things, my temp dipped on Sunday so after a small amount feeling sorry for myself I told myself not to be stupid & look forward to Xmas drinking & trying again for a Christmas baby. I then got up this morning to take my temp expecting it to have dropped a lot for AF to arrive later...it hadn't, it didn't go up either just stayed the same which is still fairly high compared to last month, so of course I got a glimmer of hope & did a test (clearblue) & got a BFN, so back to feeling horrible again. No AF yet but its just a matter of time as clearblue are supose to pick up the hormone 3 days before AF due date & I'm due today or tomorrow at the latest, Ah well at least I can have a couple of drinks at the do tonight & not feel too guilty about it

HomeintheSun · 01/12/2008 06:58

I think I'm out for an August baby, had a bit of bleeding last night/early thismorning was thinking it could be implantation bleeding but I've got cramps now so I don't think it is. This is only our second month really trying, but I feel quite gutted but then I feel bad for feeling like this when I know there's women on this thread that have been trying for longer, iykwim. I'm going to stay on this thread cause you're all so nice if that's ok.
