Hi wondered if any one else was aiming for an August baby and fancied joining me this month to pass the time. This will be our 3rd cycle of TTC now and im on CD1 but staying positive.

My details are

Gemma C, TTC#2, usual cycle length 28-32 days, cd1

Please feel free to add yourself to the list, I would love some company.

well done LJ, i'm thrilled for you. a same colour line is definitely a +.
good luck and take it easy.

Issy42 · 04/01/2009 23:45

Congratulations LJ, fantastic news . I'm sure you'll get it confirmed in the morning. As long as the line is the same colour as the test line (i.e. not grey) then it's a positive according to the peeonastick website. Sending you lots of babydust for a sticky bean.

LJ29 · 04/01/2009 20:33

Hi Ladies, although I've missed the boat for an August baby, I just wanted to share with you that I think I just got my BFP!!! I did it at about 20.15 so not FMU and it was a cheapie test but two clear lines although the test line is much fainter than the control line (still a positive I think?)

Going to do a First Response in the morning but now have a whole mixture of feeling dizzy with excitement and scared incase it doesn't stick.

HomeintheSun · 21/12/2008 19:29

Where's everybody gone? Just thought I'd pop in and say congratulations to Olivo and Neevy many more to come I hope. I've just been on the Boots wed site they have 20% off clearblue pregnancy and ovulation tests. Good luck to everyone, I'm off to the September thread as I've just been kidding myself that I'll have an August baby and I have no chance. (not August 09 anyway)

Sunnydale · 19/12/2008 22:44

Congratulations Olivo and Neevy - this has been such a lucky thread! You make it seem so easy! How long have you been trying, I can't remember. It gives me hope!

Headfairy I totally sympathise - I have exactly the same "problem" as my next fertile cycle should coincide with the exact four days I'm visiting the in-laws. DD also would be sharing our room. I actually don't think I could BD with DD in the room, but that's just personal. Go for it if you can - we've all gotta do what we've gotta do!

Right, off to the September thread - see some of you there xx

girlwithacurl · 19/12/2008 09:24

Congratulations olivio and Neevy from me too! Hopeing for some more before xmas as well!

Issy42 · 19/12/2008 01:40

Congrats Olivo

Thanks bluesatin

Good luck when you take that test NewHere

HeadFairy · 18/12/2008 23:17

Aw, bless you bluesatin... I hope to see you in there soon. I'm due to ov on Christmas day, so going to wrap myself up with a ribbon and big bow and put myself under the tree for dh

Actually have a big dilemma, we'll be staying at my mum and dad's on Christmas night with ds in a travel cot in the same room as us. Now question is, is it a terrible thing to bd with ds sleeping in a travel cot in the same room? I'm hoping we'll manage at least a couple of romps before Christmas day too, but I had hoped to do 23rd - 27th as a shag fest. What would everyone else do?

I've posted on the other thread, but a million congrats Olivo and Neevy!!!! That's such great news, this thread has been very lucky hasn't it? Let's hope the luck carries on!

bluesatinsash · 18/12/2008 20:38

CONGRATULATIONS olivo and neevy!!! I've been lurking hoping for more good news. newherehelp - sending lots of babydust your way.

Sorry to read about the BFNs and AF rearing her ugly head especially izzy.. Headfairy - I was so wishing you would be moving across to the ante-natal as your posts are fantastic - boo.

NewhereHelp · 18/12/2008 20:37

Thanks O, hopefully be joining you on pregnancy thread soon

olivo · 18/12/2008 20:28

can't blame you, you sound like you have enough on yuor plate at the mo. fingers crossed for you

NewhereHelp · 18/12/2008 20:13

Too scared seriously might leave it til after xmas, had a bit of cramping at the begining of the week so AF might just be lazy (am usually dead on 28 days) - I have had a lot of stress this month too, DPs Ex's giving me hassle and my Ex DH too, all sorts of rubbish stuff!

Sorry, just not sure I can handle anymore just now (but am excited too - I know I never make sense!)

Really happy for everyone else though

olivo · 18/12/2008 19:58

thanks newhere. go on, test...

NewhereHelp · 18/12/2008 19:56

Neevy sorry just read your good news too, keep them coming

NewhereHelp · 18/12/2008 19:54

olivio congratulations

Lots more BFP's please!

I'm 4 days late now, boobs hurt and nipples really sore, had a little spotting on CD27 too (hoping implantation bleed), feeling pants too but that might be the bug that's going round!!!!

Too scared to test, want it too much now

olivo · 18/12/2008 19:25

I've just tested and ...BFP!

Issy42 · 17/12/2008 23:10

Congratulations NeevyWeevy . So happy for you. Sending lots of babydust for a sticky bean.

Thanks everyone for the kind messages. Am starting to veer towards IVF but still keep changing my mind every few minutes. Sunnydale - you're not the first person to recommend the Guardian, but I'm a very wary person due to something which happened in my past and only date people who are friends of friends. Probably why I'm still single!

neevyweevy · 17/12/2008 23:00

Sunnydale · 17/12/2008 17:50

Hello all, BFN for me yesterday morning but I wasn't surprised as I had no PG symptoms. Issy I'm so sorry you're out for this month, it must be twice as hard doing it alone and I hope you've got good pals in RL as well as MN to support you. Keep in touch, though. Are you into internet dating? One of my pals was cynical but then she met someone on guardian soulmates and they are now married. But you are probably sick of people telling you about internet dating, so I'll shut up...
lorelei sorry to hear about your GP being rubbish. It's so unacceptable. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago - my hair was thinning, I had boils on my face and very irregular AF. BUT I've managed to conceive twice now without really trying - literally like falling off a log, one BD randomly each time and that was it. I don't say this to be all "get me" AT ALL, but to give you hope as PCOS can feel like a death sentence where having children is concerned - I know it did for me. The doctor told me it would be v hard for me to get PG, and I just wanted to post my experience as something positive. The human body is amazing. Even though it doesn't feel like it some of the time...

girlwithacurl · 17/12/2008 09:37

Sorry about your BFN olivio... but it was early, give it a few more days! Hope the hiding from AF works and she doesn't catch you!

olivo · 17/12/2008 08:25

Issy ,so sorry to hear this. I hope your prince charming comes for you soon. take care and keep in touch.

BFN for me this morning so i'm quite I know i shouldnt have tested early but with all the wierd things i've been feeling, i really thought there was something. it didnt make me feel any better when dh told me he was disappointed - I didn't know if his heart was in having another dc but obviously it is.
so, all i can do is pray AF doesn't catch me and see what happens.

girlwithacurl · 16/12/2008 12:56

I am still here, can't face moving on to a new thread each time it doesn't work out... and anyway as I have a long cycle I would probably miss out September completly and go straight to October. Thats just too depressing right now, so am sticking with this one.

Issy42 sorry to hear your news, hope Father Christmas brings you a lovely new chap for 2009!

Meri good news that they are doing things for you, hope the tests give you some answers and help you on the road to a BFP!

HeadFairy · 16/12/2008 12:21

Sorry to hear that issy, I do hope you find your Prince Charming under the tree this Christmas.

Sunnydale, I'm still here too, I've added my name to the September list but I'm hovering between two threads (oh and all the rest !)

Meri, I hope the blood tests go well. I hate having them too but I got used to it after a particularly bad spell of ill health a few years ago, I had to have bloods done every month after glandula fever left me lower than a sewer rats arse . I have rotten veins too, everyone apart from the most experienced phlebotomist takes at least four attempts to get blood out of me. I had a knee op a few years ago and the anaesthetist took 8 goes to get a line in to me . His final words to me as he finally got it in was "here's your reward, a double martini!" as he injected the anaesthetic in to my arm !

Hope everyone else is well either here or September. I'm well and truely in to my grapefruit drinking stride. As grim as it is, I'm becoming strangely used to it. I'm also drinking tons of water too. I'm fairly sure that's one of my problems, I used to be religious about my 2 litres a day and I had tons of ewcm, but now what with rushing around after ds I never get to drink, I get to the end of the day and I'm parched, so I'm making a conscious effort this month and see if I can increase my ewcm consistency and supply!

bubblebell1 · 16/12/2008 08:10

issy im sorry it didnt work out. im sending hugs and hoping that prince charming is on his way to u xxx
