Hi ladies, I'm due to test on the 25th October and would love company on the last 7 days to testing. It would also be lovely if we could all support each other and check/contrast symptoms during the latter 2ww stretch.

I reckon this might actually be my month this time as I have heard once you actively take control of your situation and make an appointment to do something about it, sods law is you don't need the help...Well here's hoping as my appointment is on Wednesday with ARGC to hopefully start IUI. While we may actually have to pay for the initial consultation, as I doubt I will get a positive this early in my cycle, here's hoping we won't need the help.

To date I have had a massive temp dip and rise on cd9/10. It feels as if my period is about to start and have had a bout of gas . Other than this am really hopefull as we managed to bd loads on the run up to ov .

Thanks thalia, that ties in with what I was told originally. Been googling and consensus was just second day of full flow - no mention of start before times. Have just realised that starting Monday means treatment at weekend again (which means likely to get treated one day too early) and AF very heavy this evening, so on balance think will go with starting tomorrow night even though I agree with you that Monday is technically day 2 for clomid purposes.

Wishing · 25/10/2008 23:47

thanks thaliblogs but i have searched and it can happen late on and about 10% of women who then go on to have healthy babies.........i am thinking i may have ovulated a few days later though as now experiencing many more syptoms, not tested again yet but still no af so thinking about testing tomorrow!

i do no a few people that havent had a hpt test show +ive till 7/8 weeks it had to be conf with a blood test and also a lot of blogs on net about it so i will just have to wait and see. who knows but it aint over till its over eh sleeves!! googling everything is not always a good idea i know but its so easy to do!!

i will be hopeful for you too i have a lot to go around and nothing much else to do til me af arrives/doesnt arrive of thast bfn / bfp !!

love to allxxxxxx

thaliablogs · 25/10/2008 22:52

Iaay - the general rule is full flow before noon, so day 2 won't be til monday. It doesn't make a huge amount of difference to be honest, but if it was me I'd wait til monday.

Wishing, at 14-16 days it's too late for implantation - implantation for healthy pregnancies (those which end up in take home babies) is most likely on days 6-10 post ovulation. However, you spotting is common in early pregnancy so it could still be ok. Honestly if you don't get a positive test having taken more than one brand on day 14, you are most likely not pregnant, although I'm sur someone will be over to tell me about their pregnancy which didn't show up til day 18 later (and then I'll ask them how sure they are of which day they ovulated...)

Still hoping for everyone, not so hopeful for myself.

Issy42 · 25/10/2008 16:24

Sleeves - sorry, started writing before you posted. This was my first month on Clomid, but last time AF arrived first thing so no debate about day 1. Thanks for your thoughts. Hope your body sorts itself out soon.

Issy42 · 25/10/2008 16:20

Wishing - thanks - think positive - being exhausted is a good sign isn't it?

I'm just going to take the Clomid tomorrow night as the nurse did say before six and technically speaking the spotting did start first thing this morning as I had so little sleep last night I went back to bed after doing the test (at 5:30) and stayed there until 11am. My AF always stops when I'm sleeping.

Thanks ladylush - I think I was relatively fortunate with my mc as it was just under 5 weeks, I try to cling the positive of 'at least it wasn't later'. One of my closest friends had one at 10 weeks a few months before me and I'm so glad I didn't go through that. Just to put in a nice story - she's now 12 weeks (after 18 months of trying with colitis coming and going too) and going for her scan on Monday.

Good luck to you both for a BFP (made sure I got it right this time) on your next tests.

Any news from you Sleeves?

Wishing · 25/10/2008 16:13

That's good that AF still isn't here Wishing, hopefully she won't appear any time soon either! You must be going out of your mind though, I feel for you.

Sorry Issy that AF has arrived, were you on Clomid that month or are you just starting it?

Best wishes to you Ladylush for over the weekend, sorry to hear of your previous difficulties, TTC can be such a nightmare at times.

Hope everyone is doing OK

Issy - sorry to hear of your m/c

ladylush · 25/10/2008 13:55

Issy - sorry about the evil witch arriving Have a LARGE glass of wine and some chocolate.

Sleeves - you seem very positive. Hope November a luckier month for you

Wishing - still have fingers crossed for you

My period is due Tues. Still have all the symptoms I mentioned before. No new ones. I tested early (yesterday) because I had a work do and would not have drunk any alcohol if it was a positive. However, I don't want to put my life on hold every 2nd half of my cycle. I did this for a very long time only to be bitterly disappointed every month. There is something to be said for living life and having a fairly carefree approach I think. Obviously I will not over-indulge and I am generally more careful in the second half of my cycle but I just don't want to be too hung up on it. I've got a ds aged 4 but have had 2 first trimester m/c and 1 suspected ectopic. If no sign of the witch by tomorrow morning I am going to test again.

Issy42 · 25/10/2008 13:16

Really, really, sorry Wishing that should read hoping you get your BFP this month!!!!

Issy42 · 25/10/2008 13:14

Wishing - sorry another ps forgot to answer your question - my clinic tells me that Ovitrelle recommend you don't test for 3 weeks after hcg shot because could get false positive, but up till this time I've always been negative 10/11 days after shot.

Issy42 · 25/10/2008 13:11

Thanks Wishing. Unfortunately had temp nosedive today and tested anyway but used the last cheap Sainsbury one as I knew I was wasting my time. It was of course BFN and AF now just starting .

Now I'm not sure when to start Clomid as I'm sure last month I got told to take first tablet on second full day of period and not to count the first day unless period started before noon. I rang clinic yesterday and got told day 1 is if it starts before 6pm (by the nurse the others all check everything with). Since spotting started just before noon, I'm sure will have full AF before 6pm. Why can't they give you consistent advice? Maybe I'll start a thread to ask what others are told.

Still hoping you will get your BFN this month wishing. Babydust to you for this time. I will now be testing next around time mc baby was due and is day of my cousin's wedding so is going to be emotional. Am going to try to just test if late though.

Wishing · 25/10/2008 00:31

oh issy and sorry to hear about that stupid women you wor with - you were a lot more controlled than i would have been!!

people can be so tactless - its lie when people say to me erm shouldnt you be thining asbout babie soon, or just babies babies babies - i feel lie shouting oi! its not always that easy you no and im struggling so back off!! its lie it doesnt cross there mind that there might be a problem!!

Wishing · 25/10/2008 00:25

oh dear issy i had to read that twice to understand! i feel for you - this can get so complicated cant it!?!? are you definately testing in the morning?? - well bet you have by the time you get this - good luck!! when you say cant trust a test after hcg shot do you mean next thursday??

i have been to loo again and paid eased a bit more but not sure now if af might be on way again?? i have a persona to start using this month if af does come - i want it to come so i can get on with this now, if it isnt coming give me a bfp at least!!

Issy42 · 24/10/2008 21:44

Was posting about tests on another thread and my resolve went and just did test. It was a cheapy Sainsbury which I've had no problems with previously, but Tuesday night did two and got a faint line in the test window but an incomplete line in the control window (false positive due to hcg shot). I had a negative cb digital on Wednesday am and two clear negative Sainsburys ones on Wed eve and Thurs am. Way too much testing I know but it's just because of the injection. This time got same as Tues - a line in the test window but very, very faint this time but an incomplete control line. Don't know what to make of that. I'm going to try and ignore it and see what the clearblue digital gives tomorrow. Only have one left else would be tempted to test again tonight. Still feel periody though, definite cramps and the hcg shot means can't trust a positive until Thursday. I need a 'confused' smiley to end this post.

Issy42 · 24/10/2008 18:28

Wishing - P.S. I prefer the non-digital cb tests too as I like to see the line strength but the digital ones claim to pick up a higher percentage of pregnancies early, so presume they're more sensitive.

Issy42 · 24/10/2008 18:19

Thanks wishing and ladylush. Sorry to hear about your bfns . I resisted the urge to test this morning. Temp has started to fall (from 36.48 to 36.39) and very crampy so not totally given up hope yet, but it's not looking good. Tomorrow's temp will determine whether I test again now.

Totally understand about your mixed feelings on other's pregnancies. I've sat through a day at work & my colleague who sits opposite me has gone on and on about how little time she has left before she starts her maternity leave (unexpectedly pg with 3rd). She knows I miscarried, so in the end I subtly mentioned to her that I should have started my leave today. Happy for her but it's hard.

Sleeves - great news about your supportive dh - hope it works for you.

Wishing · 24/10/2008 18:01

thanks pezzina - no i cant keep testing its torture - my only hope is this morning i did get implantation bleeding, it wouldnt be unusual for it to be late, it can take as long as 14/16 days so i could just be a slow one. if it was then i wouldnt get a postive for a few more days - a lot of sites strongly recommend you dont early test but a lot easier said than done, though im not testing early anymore!!

If af comes i can draw a line under this horrible month!

thanks ladies for al;l you help and kind thoughts

xxxxxx

Pezzina · 24/10/2008 17:56

Just read Head Fairy's advice on the other post and am glad you've decided not to test again until Monday. Fingers crossed sweetie. Big love x

Pezzina · 24/10/2008 17:54

Big hugs Wishing, as Sleeves has already mentioned - it is the being in limbo that is the worst. How overdue are you?

Wishing · 24/10/2008 17:51

thanks slimy, im even cryin reading your post it was so nice! im a complete mess right now i was supposed to no get like this this month - this was out 6 month, no it doesnt seem a lot but it feels like forever!!

im glad you being so postive and looking to try again with frozen embryos, fab news that dh is so keen as well - are you arranging an appointment!

i know just how you feel about sil, i was happy for my friend and heartbroken at same time, why is all of this so hard

xxx

ILickYourSlimySleeves · 24/10/2008 17:46

Oh Wishing, I know exactly what pain and heartache you are going through. I think the limbo stage is the worst, when you get BFN's but cling to the hope that it's wrong and it will all be fine. I do sincerely hope that your HCG is just too low to register on an HPT. What CD are you on now? And how long have you been TTC? It can take quite a few months for any 'notmal' couple to conceive so even if it is a BFN there is fresh hope for next month.

I know how you feel re your pal who just got a BFP. I've been there so many times now and I know how heartbreaking it is. You can't say anything in real life but it's so hard to be happy with hearing such news when it's something you long for so much for yourself. You will be feeling so emotional and confused just now too that hearing your pals news will bring such mixed emotions. Funnily enough my SIL called me today to tell me she is PG with their 3rd child! She is 14 weeks already! I am really pleased for her as she has had difficult times in the past with recurrent M/C's but deep down I do feel quite envious too. I have been thinking about what to do as I really don't think the natural route will work for us so I spoke to DH today about the possibility of trying for a frozen embryo transfer at the start of next year, maybe even January. He agreed that we should cos if that doesn't work then we will need to go for a fresh IVF cycle at some point. I am quite excited and it's softened the blow of AF being here!

I hope you are OK sweetie, it's a horrible time the end of the 2ww when you haven't a clue what your body is up to.

I hope you are ok too Ladylush, remember it ain't over till the AF lady sings though!

Wishing · 24/10/2008 17:25

correction to prev post! i got a bfn after i peed away not a bfp sorry!!
