Good luck Rafiz, not long til you test! Lots of women dont have any symptoms when they're pregnant so dont give up hope, you never know. Make sure you let us know if you've any news.

Hey twoplease, glad the smear went OK. It is difficult to be positive I know, especially when the statistics are so depressing ie 20/25 per cent of conceiving even when you're ovulating. But its got to be our turn soon...

twoplease · 12/11/2008 21:21

i'm here too - had to have a dreaded smear test today but was remarkably ok - have been putting it off, hoping i would be pregnant but no such luck!!
we are going to really go for it this month too but can already sense the disappointment in 3 weeks - must get positive.......

Rafiz · 12/11/2008 20:31

pinkie08 and theautomatic Good luck with your OV. I will be testing when you will be BD. But I just don't feel any symptoms any more...

theautomatic · 12/11/2008 19:28

Hey pinkie, nice to hear from you!
We do have very similar dates. I've already started the bedding, really going for it this month. How about you?
My dh hates me going on this thing too, though he cant complain as he spends loads of time on his xbox even though he's in his 30s...!

pinkie08 · 12/11/2008 19:21

Hi theautomatic

I am still here but DH due any minute and he hates me being on this thing.

How are you? we have very similar dates, FF says 17th for afew days for me.

I have given up with the frizzy hair weather its not a good look for any of us

theautomatic · 12/11/2008 18:50

Is anyone still around?

Bump!!

theautomatic · 10/11/2008 15:38

Hello ladies, have been staying away from the conception board lately, can feel myself becoming obsessed with ttc. Was absolutely gutted when AF arrived, more than I realised. But am gearing up now for ovulation. Apparently 15th is THE day and great that the 15th is a Saturday rather than a work night! Lots of time for bedding.

twoplease- that was a brave decision to make about having a rest from ttc and I can certainly see where you're coming from. Great news that your dh is so keen to continue. My dh has started popping selenium, I know hes a bit worried that his sperm may not be up to scratch!

Good luck Rafiz and Caitni, have everything crossed for you!

Hope everyone is doing OK. This bloody constant rain is getting me down. It only takes one drop of rain to fall on my hair and it goes to frizz, not really the look I'm aiming for...!!

Rafiz · 10/11/2008 14:58

twoplease what a beautiful reaction from your DH.

I have still a week to go before I can start testing. Can't wait.

Pezzina · 10/11/2008 14:32

Hi twoplease my DH has started taking the Wellman vits - you can get them in Boots and they're doing 3 for 2 at the mo - they're a good 'all round' supplement. I think Zinc is supposed to be a good vit for their little swimmers - but not sure why

twoplease · 10/11/2008 13:59

hello everyone,

well, as i thought, AF did arrive properly so have put myself at bottom of the list.
I talked through having a bit of break to DH and he completely surprised me by being totally against it!! I thought he would be pleased but he said he really wants to keep 'really' trying.
so, here we go again!! Back on track, trying to dismiss negative vibes, having a v low caffeine and no alcohol month!

anyone know good vits for DH to be taking?

Baby dust to all.

Pezzina · 07/11/2008 11:45

Thanks Caitni - I hope that you've already caught the egg

Caitni · 07/11/2008 11:18

Er, sorry for the double post!

Caitni · 07/11/2008 11:18

Oh twoplease so sorry to hear that you're out this month . You sound like you've made a hard decision, but a break sounds like a good idea. TTC is such a rollercoaster that it's important to take care of yourself emotionally too. Hope the RL stresses aren't too much.

Rafiz I'm also now on the tww - I ov'ed yesterday, so should also be due 18 Nov now. We can be test buddies . I've sworn that I'm not going to analyse every twinge this month and I've got a weekend away right before AF is due, so hopefully that'll keep my mind off things!

Pezzina hope you catch the egg this month

Wishin hope things are good with you?

Hi to M2O theautomatic Nomore Pinkie as well. Not much going on with me. Now that I've ov'ed I've got the looooong tww stretching ahead of me...

Rafiz · 06/11/2008 13:57

I am sorry twoplease Maybe a break is a good idea.

I am on my 2ww now and it drives me mad how I observe my body all the time. Even if I don't really want to , I analyze every little abnormality.

nomoremagnolia · 06/11/2008 12:09

twoplease look after yourself - you sound like you're making a very sensible (if hard) decision to give yourself a break for a while. If it's any consolation I found the 9-12 months bit of ttc (and not doing so) the absolute hardest and I can promise you the worst bits although they are horrible do go away. (((hugs)))

twoplease · 06/11/2008 11:11

thanks Pezzina and Pinkie - AF not arrived properly yet but you know when you know if you get my drift!!

think i'm going to take a break from it all until after christmas now. I've only been trying since about March which I know is nothing in the grand scheme of things but with some added stresses at home, its just too much every month. Not sure I have the emotional strength that i have seen others have to face any intervention that maybe necessary and always said i wouldn't get too worked up if another baby didnt come along and here I am, in pieces. Need to take a break from obsessing over it for abit and come back a bit fresher in the new year i think. if it happens in the meantime, great!

will keep an eye on threads though - good luck Pezzina when Ov happens.

Pezzina · 06/11/2008 10:52

Sorry to hear your bad news twoplease .

Nothing to report from me - just waiting for ov - hopefully in the next few days.

Big ((hugs)) sweetie xx

pinkie08 · 06/11/2008 09:53

Hi twoplease

Sorry you are spotting, has it arrived fully, its not over yet maybe (hopefully)

No better news but we can face the next month together, spit in AFs eye and get ourselves those little beans.

big (((hugs)) to you.

twoplease · 06/11/2008 08:49

gutted spotting again this morning, af pains too - i can just tell af is on the way properly now. am proper fed up esp as I'd managed to convince myself that spotting the other day 'must' have been implantation bleeding.

has anyone got any better news?

Caitni · 05/11/2008 12:00

Pinkie so glad to hear you're feeling brighter today but that you think you're out this month. I know how horrible the pre-AF spotting is, as when I see my own I know that AF is about to arrive and I try to get my head around AF arriving when I see the spotting (in an effort to not totally collapse when AF arrives). So to you. I think the DP is an excellent idea for next month - between that and the Clomid you'll be doing everything you can to get that BFP

pinkie08 · 05/11/2008 11:38

Hi Caitni

Thanks for that, I am feeling brighter today, you all really helped, i have always given words of encouragement to those feeling low but it was a first for me that you all helped me and it was truly amazing.

I agree its not over til its over, but there was more today still only abit of smearing but for me thats the its for this month. So now just waiting for AF to arrive and then can log the day start the clomid the following day and start the DP, that made me feel a little bit in control last month so guess that helps.

Caitni · 05/11/2008 10:20

Morning ladies

Twoplease AF counts from first day of bright red flow as spotting before AF arrives is quite common (I get 1-2 days of v light spotting myself). Here's hoping that you get a BFP instead on Friday!!

Pezzina I came off the pill in early 2007 (we got married in June 07) and we started ttc in Jan and I didn't really monitor my cycles til about March. I had always assumed I had a 28 day cycle and was quite embarassed to realise my cycles are actually usually about 23 days . The charting/monitoring really helps though so I bet you get your BFP soon

Pinkie how are you feeling? I hate the last couple of days before AF is due - I'm always itching to POAS . Remember it's not over til AF arrives and the Deanna Plan really helps so fingers crossed you get a BFP .

Hope everyone else is good. I've just got a peak reading on my monitor so am going to have to pounce on my DH tonight (he's getting over a cold, so there's not been much bd-ing over the past couple of days). So will soon be on the TWW, though am going to try and ease off on the symptom spotting as I was so convinced last month and don't think I could handle that again!
