Well AF arrived 4 days late for me this morning with cramps, so i guess it wasn't meant to be (AGAIN!) whats made it even harder is that my two closest friends have last week confirmed they are both pregnant-without even trying!! DH is upset that it's not worked out for us this month & me, well as usual i'm gutted. Must stop testing early, must stop testing early.... Gr8 news for you ttcbby & my toes are x'd for your news issy!
Ttcbby just out of curiosity how would you describe the colour/amount of your spotting?

Sorry its been so long. I have been in denial. I did break down and go buy a bunch of tests 1 week and 1 day ago. It was right after i posted here for the first time. I took it and it was positive. So of course i didn't know if it was BBY#2 or still the HCG shot in my system. I spotted and cramped the next day for about 3 hours. I tested again and every day for 4 days after and all tests were positive. Each day the line got darker and darker. I am not sure it has sunk in yet. I booked a 7 week ultrasound-January 27th. I guess this is it! I still worry about a tubal preggers. Tubals are more common with Clomid and HCG shot. I haven't had any cramps or bleeding since that one day. One thing that bummed me out was my sister who wasn't even trying to get prego called me about a week ago to tell me she was pregnant and couldn't believe it because they weren't ready or even trying and they only did it the one time the whole month. People like that make me upset because for all of us others we have to medicate and hope and pray every day!

Nicci, have you tested again? I calculated my edd will be september 14.

I think i will be much happier on the 27th when I can see things on the screen!

Issy42 · 11/01/2009 17:59

Hey Moo. No side effects - that's great . Hope you had a good time last night. I went out and didn't touch a drop - just in case - but feel like I have a hangover . Think it was just the very loud music - how old does that make me sound, lol? Even my mouth has that hangover taste.

Feeling very emotional this weekend - kind of the way I do in the day or two pre-AF, but according to FF didn't ovulate until 3rd so not due AF til next Sat. Guess it could be connected with sorting out hotel for grandma's funeral - suddenly seems more real - and worrying about what lies ahead with the IVF - assisted conception threads full of stories about how bad the drugs make you feel. Really hoping am pg this month from my new year shenanigans so don't have to go through with it.

Good luck with testing again tomorrow Nicci. Fingers crossed for you.

auntiemoo · 11/01/2009 14:32

Hi Issy, I'm good thanks have just finished this months round of clomid and have had zero side effects not even grumpyness!! Woo hoo. Was bad and went out last night and had a skinfull though! How are things with you?

Nicci, I don't think anyone stops at the first bfp, even people who get pregnant as soon as they see a widgey lol, my cousin did 3 different brand tests just to make sure lol, I hope the BFP comes back for you, fingers x'd

Issy42 · 10/01/2009 19:53

Fingers crossed you get a BFP again soon Nicci. Let's hope you just had more diluted wee when you got the BFN. Thinking of you.

Hi Moo, how are you doing?

hopefulnicci · 10/01/2009 16:21

thanks moo, think it's my own fault for testing too much. most people would stop at the first bfp hey? Guess i've gotta leave it a few days and c what happens. Sorry to have missed you earlier. x

oh nicci, i hate it when our bodies play tricks on us. I hope you are ok, I know it's gutting, I just hope it's a false bfn coz you can get em. I'm online if you are still here.

God life feels so cruel at times. I did another FRER last night & it came back as before a light positive. It was a pack of two so as it's been light for 2 days i thought i'd do the other this morning with FMU in the hope that it would be darker and it came back bfn. What is going on? i can't help but feel down, is there anyone on line to chat?

hopefulnicci · 09/01/2009 21:04

Thanks guys i hope thats the case! i went out a spent a fortune on the clearblue digital test today, to be told 'not pregnant' so guess my hcg is quite low at the mo. will keep u posted, i hope it sticks, it's so hard not to worry when you've had reacurrent loss as i'm sure everyone can appreciate. Heres to all of our bfps!!!

Congratulations Nicci , so pleased for you. I'm sure line will be darker soon. Just been working late with pg colleague and she tested a few days late and only got a faint line. Tested again a week later and got a really dark line.

loubers · 09/01/2009 20:09

It's so hard not to get my hopes up but the lines are definately there, (using FRER) just waiting for them to get darker! hcg injection was cd 14 i'm 13 dpo today cd 29 so it must be out of my system by now, hey??! got bfn's 4 days leading up to faint bfp so heres hoping it's not playing tricks on me and showing up in my system before it leaves completely. Praying again really really hard, & v v nervous (last 3 months i've had a 12 day LP so according to FF i'm due today based on that) here's my chart www.fertilityfriend.com/home/139770

Hi all, very quiet on here. Hope everyone is OK. Did you get your prescription Hayzee?

Got my consultation appointment through for the new clinic today, it's two weeks on Monday. Scared and excited at the same time. Don't know whether any of you are registered on this website, but the thread for my clinic is full of people struggling with injections . It'll all be worth it if I get a baby at the end though. There's been another pregnancy announcement at work and in my office again. Very excited for her but just wish it could be me too.

Good luck everyone xx

Issy42 · 05/01/2009 18:28

I would do the same in your shoes Hayzee. Hope they don't make you wait too long for it.

And yes feel relaxed about it now. Think I finally ov'd yesterday, cd19. Very small amount of EWCM first thing (would have dismissed it as lubricant from scan in previous cycles), OPK was borderline and today temp finally well above coverline. Used to ov cd 18-20 before mc so I think maybe clomid has put my cycles back to the way they were. So, let's see if bd 3 days before ov with probable poor quality sperm can do something 8 IUIs couldn't, lol. Something tells me will be keeping the IVF appointment when it comes through!

How's everyone else doing?

hayzee · 05/01/2009 14:49

hi everyone
still no response from the hospital i even tried calling them this morning but they still have not called back it so annoying so im going to the hospital first thing in the morning and im going to wait until im seen.

issy im glad he believes you at least that has taken a bit of worry from you i hope things look up for you all xx

Issy42 · 04/01/2009 23:08

Welcome ttcbby2 . Sorry you had cp last month . Well done on not testing - I have no willpower. Good luck for your next test. Fingers crossed for you.

Well I told my ex about the situation today and he was fine about it - at least he believed me and his attitude was not worrying until there's definitely something to worry about. Have no idea what my body is doing though - maybe coming off clomid has changed my cycles. They were longer before my mc so might be reverting back.

ttcbby2 · 04/01/2009 16:38

Hello All,
I would like to join in your chat here.
I am in the States but found all of you are going through what i am going through.
I am 13 days after hcg shot. I had 4 follies and one was a good size. I have one child, 22 months old. Took me 2 years to get prego with him. Had one chemical prego last month, thought i was going to lose my mind. Decided to forgo nature and get on Clomid and HCG's to get things going. I am very ready to have another child and move on with this part of my life. I am 32 and dh is 37. I too am a serial tester but have not done it this month! I have surprised myself. I want to run out the door to the drug store and buy 10 of them but i am restraining. I had some cramping yesterday for about 3 hours. I thought for sure i would wake this morning to AF. But i didn't. . Tuesday will be day 28 and I am usually like clockwork. I hope this is the month for me. Cheers!!

Issy42 · 03/01/2009 17:22

Thanks Hayzee. That's what I needed to hear, just hope he sees it that way. He wrote a blog today about the past year including what a good friend I am and how supportive I've been - cue guilt trip, even though I haven't actually got anything to feel guilty about as I was honest with him.

Really sorry about your hubby's work. Hope he gets something soon and gets the money he's owed. I need a sparky to check my electrics since I had a PME terminal fitted, but am putting off all work on my house because of the IVF.

Hope the hospital call you soon. They seem to be particularly bad at calling you, is it worth chasing them up?

hayzee · 03/01/2009 15:01

hi all
still no sign of period still waiting 4 hosp 2 call 2 say when i can pick up my prescription.
Well if u told him and he didnt wear a condom then it was his choice u gave him all the info and the choices so u havent tricked him.
You aint the only 1 having a shit time my hubby has had xmas off but he called his boss 2 sort out work 4 monday only 2 b told that he aint got a job and the weeks wages he owes him he is not getting. Hes an electrician so he is self employed so there is not much we can do about it and due to the credit crunch there is not alot of sparks jobs in the area. Already a great start to the new year.

Issy42 · 02/01/2009 15:04

Hi all. Thanks for all your kind wishes.

Hope your Christmas bd'ing worked for you Nicci. I did have alcohol, but peanuts and soft cheese still intact. Hope your ear infection clears up Moo and hope AF arrives for you soon Hayzee and the last Clomid try works.

Apologies for long post, but I'm having a real oh shit, oh shit, oh shit moment that will only make full sense to others who understand ttc. On Tuesday evening, I thought I felt ov pains, temp had dipped on Monday and then rose back to coverline Wednesday and (sorry for tmi) cm went from watery to creamy, so assumed had ov'd on Tuesday, which was CD14 so about right. Had arranged to stay at my ex's house on New Year's Eve and knew there was a chance something might happen, so did an OPK to double check ov already happened and was negative, so when it was obvious something would happen, I explained all this to him (we've been there a few times in the past year so he's beginning to understand ttc now - or rather how to avoid it for him) and told him it was not a green light but more of an amber one in terms of timing, so he'd probably want to use a condom. Couldn't take my temp yesterday morning as at his and things did happen and we didn't use a condom. Last night cm was back to watery and today temp is back down and have just done an OPK and is positive, but cm has disappeared. I did genuinely think ov had happened Tuesday, it's late in the cycle for me to have a positive OPK so I'm wondering whether I'm actually having a anovulatory cycle - I got a positive OPK late when that last happened - or it could be stress delaying it (they say that's common after bereavement). I know it's highly unlikely that one attempt 2 days before ov with a man who's likely to have a low sperm count (38-year-old smoker who also smokes dope) would result in BFP, but if it does I really don't want him to think I tricked him. Trouble is the whole how safe it was conversation happened when we were both a bit drunk the night before so he may not have remembered in the morning when things actually happened - although I did double-check he didn't want to wear a condom and reminded him it was 'amber'. I'd hate to lose his friendship, so should I be upfront with him and tell him now that I got it wrong or should I just wait until I know the outcome? He has previously told me that he 'understands accidents can happen, but if it does he doesn't want to know about it'. Obviously would tell him if I am, but just don't know whether to warn him of the possibility.

On the other hand I would be over the moon for myself if I got a BFP and didn't have to go through the IVF.

Being good friends with an ex is so complicated, especially when you're both still single. Would help of course if I didn't sleep with him!

Good luck everyone. Let's hope 2009 is our year xx.

hayzee · 01/01/2009 12:02

hi all
izzy im so sorry about the passing of your gran my thoughts are with you and your family.
Well i hope you all had a good xmas mine was very busy as usual lol.
Wishing everyone all the best for 2009 and lets hope we all get some better news than last year.
just a quick update i still havent had my period, last one was 8 nov so got to get in touch with hospital and take the provera to induce it. I have decided that im going to try one more time on the clomid as they have upped my dose to 150 and if that does not do what it is supposed to then im going to come off it. I seem to need provera to give me a period as the clomid seems to stop it i think ive got enough wrong with me without it messing up my cycle.

auntiemoo · 28/12/2008 21:01
