Hi Bev,
Sorry for the delay in replying. Part of my master plan of not being too obsessive is to not be on here too much (sorry - loads of double negatives!)
Your dh sounds brill! I hope you have some success soon
My dh's test was a bit of a disaster zone really. We decided to 'do' it at home as he couldn't face doing it in the gents at the hospital! We couldn't get it in the pot so used a new plastic beaker (possibly 1st mistake!) to decant it into the pot. I guess some got 'lost' there. Poor dh couln't give it his best shot so we think not enough volume was produced (2nd problem). Then, to cap it all, we got stuck in traffic, almost had an accident, and finally made it to the hospital at 55 minutes. So, all in all, not very conducive for a good result.
I can't remember all the stats but know that he has about 10% good ones. The doc wants us to re do it asap but, unsurprisingly, we're not too keen as we know this was the worst case scenario. DH was wearing quite tight trousers for work (a uniform) but now has got himself some bigger ones and a whole new wardrobe of boxer shorts! So hopefully, the count can only improve.
I've finally been to the GP today as I was worried about some pains i was getting a week before AF. He thinks its Prostglandins (sp?) causing cramping, which is good news as it means I'm ov'ing OK. I'm having the cd21 blood test next week to check all's OK.
If we're both basically functioning OK then we'll leave nature to do what it does. We decided ages ago not to have any invasive treatment because we already have 2 wonderful children. So, hopefully, that's it for us, we just wait, oh, and bd like mad, of course !!!
Look forward to hearing from you (and Ebbie!)
BL xx
P.S. We've been trying for 11 months - I came off the pill last July.
