Here we are on another new thread! Let's hope it's a lucky one

OP posts:
GYo · 13/10/2008 13:29

Definately the second one Tink. Looks like its got more compartments that the argos one. How exciting.

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 13:13

I might have to try that GYo, maybe it will sell better on here.

There is an orange P&T's on Ebay and we really wanted the orange one but its quite hard to find. Now if someone buys the pram in the 22 hours it has left I can get it.

I'm gettin quite worried about not having the P&T's by the time DS2 arrives.

Oh and we've settled on a name at last.

GYo · 13/10/2008 13:09

Hi Everyone,
thanks for good wishes re monday bad mood. Im pleased to say sitting on the wagon sofa has definately helped. Must be all the chocolate

Kay- cant believe about that old woman, so rude! bet she'd never been pregnant in her life so didnt understand but still...
Did you think about trying to sell pram on here, think there is a for sale section? If find that there is so much on eBay - its hard to see what there is for choice...

Tink- hurray for the new shower, what a relief!

Diege- Glad you have a GP appt and are happily hugging your secret. Such an exciting time at the beginning (as well as worrying!). Enjoy every second!
You really made me smile with visualising my boss being horrible! Fortunately he isnt as bad as yours, cant believe he rang you when off sick! Mine is clever, says and does the right thing but is kinda of nasty by implication- IYSWIM? Anyway I should probably get a thicker skin! But the fact that he and his partner have had several failed IVF attempts probably doesnt help - although Im not supposed to know that!

Talking of work got a lady coming check my desk is safe for a pregnant woman not sure how they will do that but it did amuse me! will report back tomorrow

tinkisgoingtohaveagirl · 13/10/2008 13:01

thats what i thought kay i liv all the clours on the mat and the cute blue containers

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 13:00

i cant decide which changing table to get either

www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001151&langId=-1&search Terms=changing+tables

or

www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_124_10751_-1_14056_16371_10001_14056

think i prefer 2nd one

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 11:55

I will lounge on the sofa I think. Thanks Diege. I'm hoping buying baby clothes will cheer me up.

No one has bought my pram again. Its been on Ebay 3 times now!! I'm trying to persuade my brother to buy it so when he gets married(in 2010) and have kids its there waiting for them. But he wont have any of it.

Diege · 13/10/2008 11:46

for you Kay - what a bitch. She must have a seriously empty life to go around handing out abuse like that.
You must pop onto the wagon sofa for some choccy too

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 11:33

I don't like old people!!!

I went to the bank to pay in some money so I can buy some baby clothes. I sat down to fill in the slip as I can't find my paying in book(another DH sorting out I think). An old lady came in and had a go at me saying just because I was pregnant didn't mean I could use the chair. The lady at the bank explained to her that the chair was for anyone to use. Still didn't stop her calling me a single teenage mum with no manners!

I'm a happily married 22 year old really. I feel really crap now I don't even have any chocolate!!

Diege · 13/10/2008 11:11

Morning . Sorry for things being so rubbish GYO ; I have a very vivid picture of your boss in my mind, and he doesn't look very nice . I'd keep an eye on his nastiness and maybe jot down info etc if he ever starts anything vaguely discriminatory. I've had a boss like this when I was pregnany with dd3, and was often in tears after he'd ring me at home when signed off with hyperemesis telling me I was 'letting the team down' . Maybe they are brothers . Just get through the day and then have a nnice bar of galaxy on the wagon sofa
TINKS - yay for getting shower sorted (soon!). I am a bath person myself, and avoid showers at all cost. Hate getting cold and find it takes ages to warm up in a shower!
Glad you found the jeans KAY - had picture of you there in top and knickes all day .
LATOUR, have been reading up on the gall stones thing and it's quite common after pregnancy and there are loads of on-line support groups I found for women who are pregnant after gall bladder removal. Plus 2BG will no doubt be a wealth of info' after her experiences .
Hope you're feeling better soon 2BG - sickness and a cold together stink!
Well in office today and hugging my secret to myself . Have realised I was being overly anxious about getting a '2-3 weeks' pregnant yesterday when it 'should' have been 1-2 weeks. After all I'm '2-3' weeks today and I'm sure a day or two either side is acceptable! I mean, if they could pinpoint by a day they'd use the bleedin' things instead of scans
Have just made an appointment with GP for next MOnday, so feeling positive that I'm getting the ball rolling and doing all I can do to keep healthy and well. Who knows, I might just get some wear out of that Isabella Oliver dress I bought yet

2beautifulgalsandabean · 13/10/2008 10:54

Hi everyone.

I'm still feeling really sick and just had a snotty cold which didn't help. Been trying to stay with you all but move really fast.

Good to see you back Kayz.

Latour- i'm mainly posting for you. When DD1 was 6 wweks old i started having this excrutiating pain at night about once a week and wouldn't ease until i was sick. Kept going back to docs, they just said indejestion. I though i was dying it was awful. Wasn't until i had 2 trips to A&E the second time i was turning yellow they actually took notice of me. I had Gallstones, however none in my gallbladder just passing through, they have blocked my pancreus(sp) and liver (why i was turning yellow) Acute pancretitus. They were going to let me go home and operate at a later date however they had to operate as the stones wouldn't budge and they have to remove them and they took the gallbladder at the same time. The pain from the gallsto0nes is 10 times worse than childbirth in my opinion. Once it was removed it was such a relief. So if there is anything you ant to ask feel free. How often do you have the pain?

tinkisgoingtohaveagirl · 13/10/2008 10:39

gyo - i can sympathise my dd gets very stressed and it all builds up too and he can be horrid shouting loads etc.
it is hard isnt it sorry that u didnt get far with nursery and work situation!!

we are getting a new shower tom eve ye as old one has had it and was crap anyway kept getting too hot!!

kay - glad you found trousers

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 08:57

I'm trying to do my make up so I don't look like a walking zombie.

DS is being very well behaved this morning. I don't like it, I feel he's building up to be a pain in the bum later.

GYo · 13/10/2008 08:54

glad you found. Not the first place to look!

Thanks- got some nice breakfast now so hoping that will help.

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 08:47

FOUND THEM!!! They were on the changing table under a huge pile of cot bedding we've just washed.

Sorry your Monday isn't going well Gyo I hope it gets better.

Sorry about no shower Tink, I'd hate not to have a shower.

GYo · 13/10/2008 08:39

Morning Tink
Sorry to hear about no shower, thats always a pain, especially in the mornings. Hopefully the plumber will fix it.

GYo · 13/10/2008 08:38

Sorry major winge alert - feel free to ignore, just wanted to get it off my chest..

Monday isnt starting off well. Feeling quite down. Feel disproportionately exhausted still and after spending all of yesterday doing decoration or not in my case- gave up after 1.5hr of getting nowhere. DH was in constant foul mood and beginning to resent me not being able to pull my weight with the decorating. I knew this would happen, things build up with him then he suddeenly cant stand it anymore any gets annoyed. He is underpressure re work/studies but its not the point. Feel guilty enough without him making it worse!

Today I'm back in office and would rather be elsewhere! (I know most people would!). My company announced a round of redundancies a couple of wks back but havent said who yet so everyone here is on the edge.

The really vunerable group (people who havent been promoted for ages/ arent going anywhere) includes my boss. Who is just an ase at the best of times. Now he cant be bothered to meet with me except to give me more work and wont even look at me when we are talking. He was a complete waner (excuse language) about me being off sick last week as it wasnt convenient.

Think I might retreat to Wagon sofa of blankets, magazines and chocolate bars.

tinkisgoingtohaveagirl · 13/10/2008 08:37

good luck finding your trousers men

GYo · 13/10/2008 08:35

LOL- weird, that kind of thing happens at home all the time!

Maybe he thought still dirty so put them back in dirty washing pile or even into washing machine. Good luck!

GYo · 13/10/2008 08:34

Hi LaTour- glad you are home and you can go on hols. Think Diege is right about getting this sorted before TTC.

Hope you are feeling in less pain this week. Do you have to go to work?

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 08:30

Yeah I tried there. I just can't think for the life of me where he would put them.

GYo · 13/10/2008 08:28

Morning Kay

Glad to hear you had a better night. Did you try his drawers? Maybe he bundled them up with something of his?

kayzisexpecting · 13/10/2008 08:03

Morning,

LaTour, I'm glad you are at home and that you can still go on holiday.

I hope that once you have had your operation you can then start ttc again. I'm sure it'll all be ok.

I slept all night!!!! It was so nice, wait for a sleepless night tonight I bet!!!

A little question for all of you.

If you were my DH and you took the dry clothes of the airer, where would you put my maternity jeans?????

I can't find them anywhere. I've checked all the drawers, the washing bag and everywhere else I can think off. He has to have his mobile off when at work so I can't text him and ask.

Hope everyone is ok.

LaTourEiffel · 12/10/2008 22:09

I'm very very tired after bugger all sleep on Friday night, had a big 2.5 hr nap this afternoon so hopefully won't feel too rubbish in the morning - goodnight all.
