Morning . Another very restless night - woke wide awake at 2.45, then lay in bed heart pounding worrying about early scan , and then not feeling sick yet (at 4.4 weeks ). Just as I was dropping off at 4.30ish bloody works van parked outside house and started digging up the road . You have to laugh...
Good luck with results Nat - they seemed to arrive in post at 11ish at our clinic. Def should be there by midday .
TINK - NCT sales are great. Be sure to get there early though!
KAY, your work is operating illegally by not giving you a risk assessment. If they won't even provide a chair for you they will have to 'suspend' you on full pay, or find another role for you that you can do without too much discomfort. I'd definitely try talking to your manager/maternity rights helpline ect. Plus are you in a union? Even if not if you contact your local branch they'll tell you your rights. You'll be surprised what a phone call from a union rep, oe even someone in the CAB can do. Do it!! You don't want to lose what you're entitled to [bossy emoticon]

we now have our new shower
plumbers finished fitting it @ 7:30pm last night. it is much better than old one which kept getting so hot that you couldnt stand under it.
this one is a mira sport.

we are going to have a look in town dd loves running around and sitting in all the rides.

Agree with Ses, the week off might just give you enough of a boost to go a couple of more weeks or something. Though having said that, NEVER feel like you have to go to prove yourself to anyone, no one would make you feel like you're 'letting the side down' by giving into it earlier than planned, and if they did then tell them a big eff off from me!!

Gosh, 10am Ses? I was thinking if I rang before lunch they'd think I was being pushy! LOL I just really really really hope they don't insist on me staying in, it would be an absolute nightmare...

I know that if you are signed off after 29 weeks they can force you to start your ML early. But I do get 9 months and I'm not planning to go back so I wouldn't mind.

I have a week off next week so I might just see how I am when I go back. I was stupid enough to think that this pregnancy would be exactly the same as the one with DS where I could have worked until the day before he was born.

So how long do I wait for the results? She said she'd ring, but I know I'll still be waiting at bed time unless there was anything absolutely dire.

They haven't even done a risk assessment. My supervisor has told my manager we have but we haven't. I can't have a chair or anything because its a health hazard. My MW did say last time that I can go to my GP and he should be able to sign me off early.

I'm at the MW this morning. Finger's crossed she can give me something for my heartburn as its driving me nuts!!

I'm really struggling at work. I'm only doing 4 hour shifts but by 2 hours into them I'm feeling dreadful and can hardly stand up. Why I thought I'd be able to cope until 37 weeks I don't know.

hi gruff. I went for my 16wk check at 17wks and the mw listened to the HB. Dont think it matters too much about dates. Dh came in too which was great as he remembered to ask things I would have forgotten.

Also at home though working tomorrrow.

Hi GRUFF . The following Tues would be absolutely fine. Do you see a midwife at all at the appointment or is your care GP-led? It would be fine to have dh with you; will make him feel really involved etc. I think they do listen for heartbeat at 16 weeks from memory .

Was just wondering about 6 week check. Mine has to be with GP for some reason and I need to book it soon. If Im 16 weeks on the Thurs is it ok to book it for the following Tuesday? Is it the done thing for DH to go in with you? And will HB be definitely listened for?

Sorry for all the questions but I have been thinking about it for a while and I thought Id better get on and actually do something about it!
