Morning

Tink enjoy Mothercare shop

Diege, sounds like the conference was worth it

Glask glad MW's went so well I'm with you on the shitty night, contractions went about 11.30, got into bed, within 5 minutes DS2 started absolutely screaming his head off/crying, rushed into him, nothing seemed wrong, so settled him and got back into bed, but the jumping out of bed started the contractions again, 10 minutes later DS2 screamed again, worried about him waking DS1 up so I brought him downstairs and dozed on the sofa with him for an hour or so in between contractions, then DH came down and said he couldn't sleep knowing I was down here on my own, so we all 3 of us got back into our bed, and there was the last of my sleep, between DS2 kicking about and groaning every now and then, and the contractions think I managed about an hour in total.

Have just nipped into town again, needed a proper coffee! Went into this shop that I've never been in before, B and something bargains it was called, can't remember the something! Anyway, turned out to be a cheap tat place, but I got to the last aisle having only picked up a bar of galaxy (obviously!) and they had a load of Postman Pat toys - DS2 squealed with delight, so I have now bought more stuff for DS2 xmas, which means I have to play catch up for DS1.... t'is going to carry on like this till xmas isn't it?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 25/09/2008 09:47

morning Tink and Diege (and anyone lurking)

Tink- i'm of your baby trip today... i can't wait to be going buying... though i've half promised myself i wont buy anthing like bedding and clothes till i know the sex, so still another 10wks for me!!

Diege- Working from home??? dont you mean MNing all day???

As for me, not up to much today, just had a couple of things end on ebay this morning... have been very sick this morning so far so ended up taking a dose of my medicine again (only my second dose in 5 days!!!)

MW app last night went good... i'm perfectly normal, and not as overweight as i thought... as i am a little over my recommended BMI i'll be needing a glucose test later on but i'm sure it'll be fine, i'm no bigger than i was when pg with DD. Should get my scan date through the post within the next week so getting all exited!! DH has said he'll buy me a doppler too!! (getting the same one as you Tink!!)

Right i'm gonna slob on the couch all morning, hoping i can get a sleep later, had a rough night last night!!

Diege · 24/09/2008 19:54

Hello!!!!! I'm back from London - had a fab time fitting in the touristy things as well as attending the Conference. Interesting conf - did you know that by 2009 the gov are promising one to one care with the same midwife from booking in to labour?
Will read through the posts before bed, but just wanted to say hi and stop that tumbleweed in its tracks!
Am on cd 10, and got a neg tonight from opk, but will keep on trying to catch the egg this month!

SesHasapinkline · 24/09/2008 18:51

Did I scare everyone off earlier or something?

Morning tink and Glaskham

Glaskham - glad reduction in meds is going well - good for you! Lazy days sound good too!

I'm still going round in circles in my head and I'm going to have to stop it somehow. Have a busy few days at work from tomorrow until Saturday so hopefully that'll help.

DH has gone to Germany with work ("to buy a big machine"). Boys and their toys! He's left his work laptop behind so I'm borrowing it as mine is still poorly. I think it might be fatal actually so may invest in a new one if we have money left over after the move.

How's everyone else today? Anyone else out there lurking??!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/09/2008 08:26

I know it seems like a lifetime away till the scan, but it will go quick enough. Can you plan something for each day? Kind of stepping stones?

I really must go and get DS2 ready, will be back later no doubt!

SesHasapinkline · 24/09/2008 08:23

Thanks NJ. I'm going to have to try and struggle on until the scan on Monday.
ROFL at your sky+ dream!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/09/2008 07:52

BTW, if the Sky+'ed chinese wasn't so strange, I would have been ing at me tipping her plate up, I'd be more likely to scrape it in the bin, think of the mess of rice everywhere....!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 24/09/2008 07:49

Morning

Ses try not to worry, sickness isn't a good sign to go off, some people can be really sick with girls, and none with boys, or just different pregnancies equals differing amounts of sickness. Having sickness unfortunately doesn't mean that all is well, and as others have said (I think you included) even after things have gone wrong you can still get symptoms for a long time (I had a big bump from the day I lost my baby, and it stayed for about 2 weeks before it started going)

Besides, silly dreams are all part of pregnancy, I had one last night that we stayed at my mums house, one of my sisters was there (we have a long running fued between us, we kind of stay polite for mum's sake but do our best not to see each other if we can help it) we were all having a chinese take away and my sister was dishing it all out for everyone, she gave my DH a tiny spoonfull of rice and gave herself the rest of the rice, argument started, I tipped her plate up in temper, and then DH realised that we'd Sky plussed our chinese at home so we would have it the next day anyway.....

SesHasapinkline · 24/09/2008 07:34

Morning!

Tink - glad appointment went so well

Heebee - Good luck with the Clomid and let us know how you get on!

LB - meant to say that I thought "hormoans" is quite appropriate really!

Well I seem to be back to worrying. Scan is now Monday morning (instead of day before planned move!) told DH I was worrying as my sickness seems to have got so much better. His suggestion was to "just stop thinking about it!" Then last night I dreamt that I had a big bleed. Woke up and told myself not to be so silly and went back to sleep. Then dreamt that my dream came true and I really did have a big bleed. Woke up v fed up and didn't go back to sleep again!

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 23/09/2008 20:16

So sorry for scarpering so quickly LB, and especially after settling down for a proper catch up, DH was earlier than expected and I was trying to rush round doing my 'making it look like I've actually done something today' thing!

Tink glad the apt. went so well

Heebee, Good luck for Thursday, I will be thinking of you

Anyway, am now going to eat some dinner and relax for a while before bed! G'night everyone xxx

Heebeejeebee · 23/09/2008 19:36

Evening all

LB - ouch re the abscess!!! I hope it clears up soon and I agree would be more of a risk not taking the antibiotics than taking them..

Tink - glad to hear the appointment went well and great to hear about the water birth!!!

NJ - never mind the hormones, just having had your weekend would have reduced me to tears - I hate the house being turned upside down/cleared out.

Finished taking the clomid for this month. DH has reported I have definitely been grumpy/pmt'ish, but other than that (so far) I seem to not have too many side effects. Off to the hospital on Thurs so will report back how I get on then!

tinkcantwaitfor3dscan · 23/09/2008 18:21

hi consultant went well

has given me the go ahead for giving birth in our local birthing centre will try this time for a water birth which is what i was going to have with dd.

have put dds car seat in the car is much better
and cot is in dds bedroom ready for the baby

lardybump · 23/09/2008 17:55

Thanks ses hope you get your laptop sorted soon........

SesHasapinkline · 23/09/2008 17:50

Hi! Nice to see it's been quite busy on here today

LB - at abcess but don't worry about antibiotics. Should be no problems after 1st trimester. Would be more of a risk not taking them.

Sorry only short post but still no laptop.

OP posts:
lardybump · 23/09/2008 17:46

night NJ have a nice evening...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 23/09/2008 17:42

Yes, those hormones are playing up a bit here as well... DH said to me on Sunday all very concerned "You're getting a bit upset very easily recently, is it all the hormones or is something wrong?" me "me? upset? Oh no, I'm fine, I don't mind my house being upside down, my hips not working without clicking, my uterus feeling like it has a lead weight in it, my back feeling like a wrecking ball is hitting it...." yada yada yada... LOL Bless him, I went on for so long I even ended up laughing at myself

DH is home, we are off to Tesco - again

Have a nice night everyone xxx
