Well why else do we have children if not to suply us with chocolate??????? I cant wait until dd is old enought to become my slave!!!!

Diege · 27/09/2008 11:15

You two have made me chuckle
Agree LB, whizz through the work and put your feet up .
Thanks Nat, yes I think I'll keep the dress for now. It's NWT so can always be sold later rather than sooner .

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/09/2008 11:11

Reading palms I can do, the polishing and hoovering however have gone out of the window. I really shouldn't have sat down!

Might be able to get up to go and get the galaxy.... not sure I can even be bothered to do that

Will send DS1

lardybump · 27/09/2008 11:08

Wow NJ can you read palms as well??? he he he. Feeling a bit better now I have just eaten about a ton of chocolate!!! ummmmmmmmmmm

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/09/2008 10:57

It might have been the 'Witch in Law' comment that gave me a clue, or maybe the 'up all night', or maybe 'they are all the pits', at a pinch it could have even been 'stuck in doors working all day'....

Not really sure what gave me the idea that you might be feeling a lot little bit grumpy!

BTW, grumpiness is allowed!

lardybump · 27/09/2008 10:38

ummmm snooze sounds good NJ I will.... (LB wonders how NJ knows I am grumpy???!!!)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/09/2008 10:28

Morning LB

Take the chance to have a bit of a snooze this afternoon, all work and no sleep play makes for a grumpy LB!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/09/2008 10:26

Keep the dress, if you get rid of it, and then get pregnant you'll be sorry.

Besides, with the weather so bloody strange at the moment, you could have worn it at anytime over our last two 'summers'!

If you get to the end of the pregnancy and it's not been worn because of weather then sell it then.

lardybump · 27/09/2008 10:25

Hello everyone. Dp has taken dd to MIL (aka the witch in law) for the day. No it doesn't matter that she is ill or that she has had me up most of the night !! Bloody men and MIL they are all the pits...

Anyway how is everyone. I am stuck in doors working all day today but I hope you are all able to get out into that lovely sunshine....

Diege · 27/09/2008 10:21

Ooh Nat you are an inspiration . I blame LB too for junk-food fest. I was all set to have my jacket spud and cottage cheese before the burger post .
Your day sounds nice TINKS - I think I run a close second to your spending habits, though you haven't seen me in baby-stuff mode yet .
I'm acutally in two minds about what to do with an Isabella Oliver dress I bought before the MC. It's a winter style, but have been hanging onto it in case I get lucky before, say Xmas. It's still new with tags, so e-bay would be a good option. But then I feel sad about letting it go...pathetic I know. Shall I keep it for a few months?
Right, dh has taken dds out to park, and poor Big Cat is at the vets having blood tests He's lost a lot of weight recently, and a bit worried about him tbh. Must get dressed, speak later x

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/09/2008 10:10

Good morning

Nearly posted earlier but would have been another moan so thought I'd leave it, made myself go and tidy up upstairs, and that led to me thinking I might as well do the kitchen while I'm in the mood, so have scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom, and am now about to polish and hoover the living room, hallway, and the play room, feels good to be doing something other than sat round waiting for the next contraction! Having said that, all the moving about is making them worse but I am so sick of just sitting and trying to not die of boredom rest.

DH is working this morning, at lunch time we are going into town, going to treat the boys to a McD's T'is all LB's fault, mention of burgers had me slavering all over the keyboard! Will get DH to pick us up and then we off to Stockport to buy look at a baby shop...

Tink, the sheets sound like they might be a bit tight, if you are any good at sewing (think you've mentioned before that you are?) you could always add a 'border' to make them a bit bigger. Only a week to go - how exciting!!

Heebee, it is very clever how they work it all out isn't it? Fingers crossed it will all do the job

LB, DS1 when he was younger used to get a rash everytime he was even slightly unwell (cold, sickness bug, head ache, even teething) we were forever backwards and to the docs, I once rang NHS Direct because I was here on my own, the rash came up so quickly and he was lethargic, they sent an ambulance, I did try to tell them that it wasn't the first time he'd had it or anything, but they wouldn't listen. Anyway, hope DD is feeling better today?

Ses, incase I don't get back on before your scan, best of luck sweetie, I am sure it will be fine, will be thinking of you on Monday And a big cheer for finally getting those contracts exchanged!

Diege, what a PITA with the email/cancelled cards, lucky you realising in time though!

tinkcantwaittofindoutboyorgirl · 27/09/2008 09:02

Diege · 27/09/2008 08:42

Morning SES . Great news on finally exchanging! Try and relax over the weekend and celebrate getting over that hurdle . I'm absolutely convinced you will be absolutely fine on Monday, though know how you must be feeling. I suppose you have to think that whether you had an early scan or not (say you changed your mind at the last minute) you would worry. It's going to be incredibly stressful, but the stress would be still be there (if not more prolonged) if you were to wait it out. It's a case of the old 'feel the fear and do it anyway thing', and think how brilliant it will feel after when you see your little bean's heart beating away .
Well I've had an anxious few hours. Stupidly replied to one of those 'phishing' e-mails that I was convinced was a genuine one from paypal . Provided my card details and everything, inc. security thing on back. Did this on Wed, and only clicked yesterday when someone posted about a similar thing on e-bay threads. Have now cancelled card with bank, but without the wisdom of mumsnet I would have been none the wiser.
So no spending for me this weekend (thankfully I did a 'TINK@ and had my shopaholic moment mid-week .
Right, having a celebratory bowl of porridge!

SesHasapinkline · 27/09/2008 08:12

Morning!

Been lurking on phone as still no laptop.

Diege - was meant to move yesterday but in the end exchanged yesterday (yay!) and will move Thurs.

Off into work now and then 2 weeks off for the move

Scan is Monday morning and am feeling v scared but I guess it will happen and then I'll know...

Sorry not responded to other people's posts - difficult to scroll and see all on phone. Will try and catch up properly on DH's laptop later.

Mmmm, twas lush

Diege · 26/09/2008 19:55

Sounds good Lardy . I've heard Leed's castle is brilliant.
Well I've burnt my chips but I won't be defeated and have put a second batch in the oven

lardybump · 26/09/2008 18:14

Working tomorrow but Sunday we are having a family day at the Leeds Castle. It is so good there you pay £15 and you can go as many times as you like in a year. DD loves it so we are going to take her there as she has been stuck in doors all week!!

Diege · 26/09/2008 17:58

That's reassuring HEEBS .
Party sounds good TINKS - we have a 'pizza and pamper' one for dd2 on Sunday, no adults. First time she's been left alone but hopefully we won't get a call!
LB, I am also going down unhealthy tea route I think. DH is out at some cycling meeting, so I am having thin fries and a bird's eye chicken pie . I have been ultra healthy these past few weeks, but always make sure I have one scrummy junk meal a week (otherwise I'd go crazy and eat everything in sight).
DDs 1&2 are at a craft afternoon tomorrow (they go every year - feel a bit guilty as it's a church thing, and we never go)but hey they put the leaflets in the school bags! Will have to do some work too, but hoping the weather is good for some relaxing walks etc.
Anyone else have plans?

lardybump · 26/09/2008 17:43

Thank you ladies......... I was going to cook a curry tonight but have just seen an advert for mcdonnalds and am thinking a burger would be good actually........

Heebeejeebee · 26/09/2008 17:32

LB - I'm amazed they didn't give you an appointment - I'd have thought that children with rashes would have automatically got immediate appointments!!

Diege - my GP and the consultant at the hospital told me to stop wasting my money on my clearblue monitor. They told me HPTs don't work. Having said that, my monitor does seem to be accurate in line with the CM, but I'm not going to use them next month!

Right - off home now and DH tells me he's taking me out for curry

tinkcantwaittofindoutboyorgirl · 26/09/2008 17:27

hi lardybump

sorry to hear that dd still ill
glad u got an answer when my dd had a rash on her back i rang receptionist and computer also said no
the receptionist said you should have rang earlier as we had appointments then ( ye whatever but she didnt have a rash then)
managed to see a nurse was just heat rash it is horrid when they get rashes i was panacking 2.
she said next time ring earlier god dont u just hate drs receptionists
ye for friday roll on saturday.
we had a nice time @ dds friends 3rd bday party

Diege · 26/09/2008 17:26

LB , but I think any one of us would have done the same...At least you got to see a dr. and have had a diagnosis. Those viral rashes are fierce, and look really dramatic but should clear up pretty soon .
LOL HEEBY at 'dry run' . Am feeling a bit scared about using mine actually for some odd reason Still no positive on the hpt, but no EWM either, so think it'll be later than day 14 this month. I'm not convinced with their accuracy for me, as have never seen even the faintest nline on one even the months I was pregnant . Think with every other day we've got it pretty much covered anyway

lardybump · 26/09/2008 17:16

Evening everyone. DD is still poorly I woke up this morning and she is covered in a rash from head to foot. So I called the Dr for an appointment telling them she had a temp of 39.9 and was covered in a rash the receptionist said "computer says no" . I got her dressed and went anyway (fuming by now as I was so worried) and demanded to see a Dr now, this second (all said in a loud whine while crying profusely! Everyone heard me that was there) !!!

Turns out dd has a viral infection which accounts for the temp and the rash again..

PFB anyone.....

In my defence I was so worried that all I could think of was meningitis...... and the receptionist didn't know over the phone that it wasn't..... Oh the shame......... I have to go back next week as well to see the midwife, should I take a peace offering do you think????

Heebeejeebee · 26/09/2008 17:04

Diege - will def be a testing buddies! Pmsl earlier as DH suggested a dry run with the pre-seed. I told him that dry run possibly wasn't the best choice of words

Ironically Tuesday (when I reckon I'll ov) was my dd, so it would be nice if something happened this month!
