after eating i look ready to give birth!! even the midwife commented i was really big for only 10.5 weeks!!i'm only just fitting into my normal sized maternity clothes!! i have a size larger in one pair of trousers i bought (picked up the wrong size) but i'm fitting into them already, only need the bands tightened a couple of holes!! its not actually so good as everyone is already asking how long i have left... it sounds so silly when i say 30wks!!

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2008 18:44

Ah that will be good glask!yeah im jealous of your bump! im not showing much at all except for huge bloatedness after eating etc!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 28/09/2008 18:35

Evening Diege. I'm just looking forward to getting the DC's in bed in 26mins (not like i'm counting or anything!!)

Gruff- i should probably just wait until my scan i suppose- hoping to get the date through anytime next week as i'm supposed to be 11wks tomorrow!!- even if i do look 6mths!!

Diege · 28/09/2008 18:32

Evening Hi Gruff, Glask and welcome Deany. Sorry to hear about your mc (I had one in July). I second Glask's advice, and agree about symptoms and not being pregnant...the body can be so cruel. Hope you'll join us and those of us ttc can symptom spot and commiserate together
Work finally finished (so much for an extra 3 hours a week ) so looking forward to x-factor tonight and the ever cheerful Tess of the D'urbs

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2008 18:28

Glask - I didnt have LMP because I was on progest. only pill with no periods so that is why I had the early scan. I looked at the chart in my book and 19th april edd makes LMP 13th July if thats any help?

Deany - I am so sorry that you are having difficulties. Maybe you should look into charting? I think fertility friend is the website poeople have used on here before??

Preseed is supposed to help conception too. I used it and got pg 6 weeks after coming off pill so it may be worth thinking about. Maybe check out charting first though, as preseed is not that cheap. Hope this is helpful, Im afraid thats the only advice I can offer you. Hope you get some good luck soon!

Lorelei97 · 28/09/2008 18:28

Hi deanychip- I have read a lot that it can take up to a year on average to become pregnant. I understand though that you feel down about what isn't working, especially if like myself everyone around you gets pregnant easily. I think you should talk to your doctor and don't give up if they send you away- ask for blood tests and start the process of ruling out anything medical. My GP, after I miscarried and then had no AF for 7 months kept sending me away month after month saying give it another month every time. When I finally insisted to be referred to the hospital for tests and waited 4 months for the appointment I was diagnosed with PCOS and a few months after that my boyfriend advised he has a high level of abnormal sperm. It isn't nice to have that information because it means we know we are pretty much in an uphill struggle but at least we know what we are working with and are not left wondering about what is wrong so I would advise talking to someone. The process of waiting for tests etc takes such a long time that its best to start as soon as you can. Now I don't mean to depress you even more- there are a lot of people who do not have problems like mine and with some time and some medical help become pregnant very easily. As for me 4 months on clomid and just been told today it not working and suggested that I go to 150mg on a last try so fingers crossed. There is a lot of compliacted stuff out there between OPK's and temperature charting- personally I found it all became too overwhelming. At one stage I was waking up in the morning, taking my temperature- peeing on an OPK, taking my folic acid, checking CM throughout the day and I became obsessed, not to mention the amount of money I spent on pregnancy tests! Everyone tells me I need to relax about it and it will happen then but is definitely easier said than done!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 28/09/2008 18:16

sorry x-posted deany.... sorry for your MC, by what i hear the clock starts again after a pregnancy (even a mc) so you'll have been trying now for 6mths by a GP etc...

as for what you're doing wrong you're obviously 'doing it' right to have got pregnant first time round... as for timing OV i used OPK's and got caught within 3mths of ttc... attempted to try temping but was way too complex for me too!! so i purely went off my OPK's.

i get a lot of EWCM around OV time too, and mine only lasts for one day so i know i need to be constantly be checking for that, some womens lasts a couple of days.

Also i had really pregnant symptoms the months i wasn't pg, but none the month i got caught... lots of early pg symptoms are just like AF symptoms for most women.

hope thats helped somehow??

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 28/09/2008 18:09

gruff- your's is defo right... i suppose i'm just going off the edd that babycentre.com gave me on their due calandar thingy... but my LMP date was 15th july... what was yours?

deanychip · 28/09/2008 18:02

I need to chat with you all.
Im getting so dispondant.
10 months trying, one mc in March.

Am having lots of pregnancy symptoms each month (cruelly) but i am having af all the same.

I get ovulation pains each month, so can time bd, but each month...nothing.
What ma i doing wrong?
Dont know anything about temperature or charts or all that stuff, to complex for my liking.

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2008 17:58

Hey Glask

Not sure what is going on Glask - just checked scan and edd is def 19/04/09 and at scan I was 8+2, which was a Tuesday, that makes me 11 weeks today surely? oh heck Im all confused!

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2008 17:50

oh hells bells glask - dont tell me Im all wrong?! Eek, I better go and check, I was just going from my scan notes.

Tink - i am so excited to find out what you are having! Nothing like good old suspense is there?!

I am at last in and putting my feet up Watching last nights x factor on itv2 as I missed it last night due to party.

Cant wait for dinner - fish pie yum!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 28/09/2008 16:50

hey gruff- how does that work, i thought you were 3 days ahead of me? your EDD is anyway... but i'm 11wks tomorrow... i dont get it???!! - your weekend sounds busy but good!!

I've been struggling with the kids today, both are still tired from our VERY busy day yesterday, DD wont use her potty with knickers on so we've had 6 accidents so far today.

However yesterday was lovely, my friend and her DH came over from doncaster. We went to the zoo, for a walk round stanley park, for tea at KFC, went to the in-laws pub for an hour, then took them through blackpool illuminations.

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2008 16:27

Afternoon!

I am 11 weeks today. 12 week scan is a week on Tuesday.

Another gorgeous day!

Been quite busy lately. Treated myself to a shopping spree in Guildford on Friday, Saturday we bought a new car which is fab, and then in the evening we went to my friends 40th birthday which was a barn dance - had to dress up as cow girls and boys, so me and DH had lots of fun.

Today we have been cleaning out the old car ready for selling.

I am exhausted now though and want to sleep but still tons to do

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/09/2008 11:28

Morning again - just!

Diege we went to see it (and ordered it from here (Can certainly recomend the customer service here BTW, will let you know when it arrives if I recommend the shop on the whole!) It does deffo look better in RL, I haven't seen the khaki one in RL, they only had a blue demo in, but the pictures look good

Tink, I can't decide between two lots of furniture, it is so close, and DH is being no good (plumping for the cheaper option as ever) I am stuck between the King Parrot range, and the Boori, (both in Teak and at Mothercare if you want a peak!) the Boori works out about £250 more expensive, but the furniture looks a lot nicer, and it looks like you get a nicer finish, but is it worth an extra £250 when the KP stuff is already £1000....?????? Will have to decide for sure before the end of today, worked out I have 14 weeks left, which I can take a third of them away just because DH is on call and we can't do anything (decorating etc.) when he is on call, then we have at least 3 more weekends we won't be able to do anything, then another weekend will be out for xmas, plus it is going to take at least a month for the furniture to be delivered.... we are seriously running out of time!

I slept (actually slept!) till 10 this morning feel like I've had a weeks sleep!

Hope everyone is having good weekends? If I don't get back on, Ses hope tomorrow goes really well, I am looking forward to the good news, and the pics

See you all later xxx

Diege · 28/09/2008 10:27

some decent rest that should be!

Diege · 28/09/2008 10:26

Morning . Nat!! you must be shattered! Hope you are still in a deep sleep and get soem recent rest this morning.
Re: the bee have you seen it in the flesh so to speak? Think it looks miles better in 'real life', and you're right it will be great for the bus etc .From the reviews I read the newborn cocoon thing is an essential.
TINKS - enjoy your morning. Lovely to feel kicks, although I remember how uncomfortable they can be esp after sugar!
Well, did the deed last niught, squirts and all. Is very odd stuff this pre-seed - the stuff leaks out after like you wouldn't believe, and is very 'squelchy' when doing the business . dh quite liked it though, and I was indifferent, so will use again! Think we'll miss out tonight anyway, regardless of OPK later, and then gof Mon, wed, Fri, then I'll need a break I think! Should cover me up to cd 19 anyway.
Had a really odd dream last night that I was in labour - loads of people in the room that got me really distressed as they wouldn't leave. A large window with cars going past , and a doula that was pushing me to have an epidural
Right, best get the end of the lecture written as dh has purposely taken dds to Morrisons for breakfast so I can do it.
DD1 at 'pizza and pamper' party this afternoon, and rest of us will cycle into town to ice cream cafe (dh is also buying me some bits from La Sensa .

tinkcantwaittofindoutboyorgirl · 28/09/2008 08:17

i was being kept awake by this one have a premier league footballer dh felt kicks on his back next time will stay away from the haagendaz icecream.
we are off to my friends @ 9am
she has a girl who is nearly 5 and a boy who is 2 in nov

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/09/2008 05:35

Contractions finally gone, think I have decided on the furniture, but thought I'd better run it past DH before I order! It's exciting!

I am off to my bed, hopefully to sleep this time!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 28/09/2008 03:29

Morning (she says, HAVE YOU SEEN THE TIME? I'm not sure it is legally morning yet...)

Must apologise for my typing/spelling in my last post, t'is shocking, though can whole heartedly blame DS1, he was being a right PITA while I was trying to type!

I nearly choked on my coke (gonna help me sleep innit?! ) reading Tinks squirt squirt squirt

Diege, I am not a bee fan at all, still think it is bordering on ugly, and still am having doubts about the non-carrycot thing, but I am willing to for go looks and a carrycot for a buggy that slips on and off the bus with ease!

I am going to make a decision and order the nursery furniture in a minute, just don't know which yet!

I am far too chirpy at this bloody time of night...

tinkcantwaittofindoutboyorgirl · 27/09/2008 19:36

evening all

just having a tv break before xfactor starts

go diege go diege
squirt squirt squirt
hi kooky good to hear from u

think so nat assuming mattress size size options gave u 3 different sizes to chose from i chose the closet match to her matress.
good shopping nat very exciting

Diege · 27/09/2008 19:27

Less of the fanjo farting Nat, I have a vial of pre-seed here ready to get squirted ...
Yah another bugaboo bee fan . I quite liked the yellow too.. .
Right, best get squirting

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/09/2008 19:12

Evening all

Tink, are the sheets exactly that size, or made for a mattress that size? If it's made for amattress that size, they will be fine.

Diege at spreading malicious rumours about my fanjo farting..... it's never done such a thing. Ever. Never ever ever....

BB, good to see you sweetie All go go go for xmas GOF'ing

KK, don't envy you the ofstead pounce, my mum was a TA and it was bad enough for her, what the teachers go through must be 1000 times worse!

Happy, wow 20 weeks already! Does time fly?! Glad the sicness is giving you a break

So, we have ordered the buggy and an even bigger it's a Bug Bee (sorry Diege! ) I really don't like the shape of the pram, and I really don't like the fact that it doesn't have a proper carrycot option, but the size difference between that and... well anything was amazing! It is smaller than DS2's stroller, it is going to be a breeze on and off the bus. Was worried it would be too small for a growing kid, but DS2 fitted in it with room to go so it must be OK. Have gone for the khaki colour, but having never seen it in RL I am a bit worried about it. Still it has to be better than the horrible yellow... And it was quite a bargain as well, inc. the buggy, the new born nest thingy, the rain covers, and the Cabriofix it was £475, so still need to get the changing bag, the ISOfix base, and the footmuff, but still think it is a bargain! Am off to check now!
