I agree. Was so scared that I wanted to keep it to myself (and the wagon of course!) However decided DH would rather know and go through the ups and downs with me.
Diege - you've created a wagon full if smiles this evening!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/10/2008 17:50

No, not bad at all!

Tell him, you'd want him to know whatever anyway, besides, I know I couldn't keep it to myself, not from DH.

Ooooh I have such a silly grin now!

Have a good night xxx

Diege · 08/10/2008 17:48

Yes, will wait till after weekend I think

Diege · 08/10/2008 17:47

Thanks NAT - not bad for an oldie eh . DH just nack with dds, so speak later

GYo · 08/10/2008 17:46

Wow Diege- thats exciting news. Congratulations

Maybe test again in a few days then tell DH? either way Im sure he'd want to know!

Diege · 08/10/2008 17:46

Thank-you! . I'm starting to worry already naturally, thinking that the migraine I had yesterday is still a menstrual migraine, but am determined to enjoy every bit of good news that I get at the moment, as I'll feel just as disappointed if things don't happen if I'm optimistuc or pessimistic if that makes sense . Good old pre-seed eh!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/10/2008 17:45

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!

Diege

Don't know what to say, I could cry, you clever thing you!!

SesHasapinkline · 08/10/2008 17:43

CONGRATS!!!

IKWYM about it being early and not sure whether to tell DH. I was the same but told him after I'd done another test the next morning!

I am sooo pleased for you!

OP posts:
SesHasapinkline · 08/10/2008 17:40

I'd like to think... Come on Diege!!!!

OP posts:
Diege · 08/10/2008 17:40

Yes you are SES!!! Have just got a very faint, but clearly there pink line at 9 days post-ov . Absolutely stunned and gobsmac ked. Don't know what made me test, but after the pink 'spot' yesterday and cramps (plus knowing from the opk when about I ovulated)I just got the 'urge' . Have hairdressers tomorrow too, so wanted to know if there was a chance so she could do her no-touching-the-scalp root colour. I'm trying to keep things low key (not sure to tell dh, or wait till 'late')as I'd really promised myself no testing until at least a week late (so not having weeks to wait before early scan). So I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve, and if it's good news, great!, if not I can deal with it!
LOL GYO- have visions of you springing up with blanket dropping to floor from your sick bed

GYo · 08/10/2008 17:36

surely a honk means only one thing around here?

SesHasapinkline · 08/10/2008 17:34

If you remember, I tested early and first 2 tests were v faint...
Tell me I'm reading into your honk correctly!

OP posts:
GYo · 08/10/2008 17:34

OMG Diege you have roused me from my sick bed (sofa)

any more details?

SesHasapinkline · 08/10/2008 17:31

Diege - you been testing early???!!
Sounds good...

OP posts:
Diege · 08/10/2008 17:27

Mean 'faint' but I feel 'feint'!!

Diege · 08/10/2008 17:21

Very feint muffled but definitely audible HONK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/10/2008 16:21

Yes, xmas and DS2's bday, I keep saying I've finished it but then find more things for one of them, and then play catch up for the other one....

Actually DS2 wasn't as bad with the wee thing, but DS1.... everytime I took him to be weighed they insisted his nappy came off, I'd get covered in wee, the HV's would get covered in wee, the scales got full of it.... LOL It got my post-birth wardrobe going to a good start though, every time I took him I had to buy new clothes to change into LOL

GYo · 08/10/2008 15:47

LOL Phew! glad you werent windswept Nat! Are you doing xmas shopping?

Good advice re it being a boy and needing a rain mac! WIll look at solutions that will fit in our tiny baby room.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/10/2008 15:41

PMSL GYo, no not quite

Helloooooooo

Tink good shopping! I was going to say it's a shame we don't live closer we could have gone baby shopping together, but for the sake of DH's bank account, it is probably a good job we don't!!

Diege sorry for head/cramps/spots, fingers crossed it will turn out good in the end

GYo, also hope you're feeling better soon. Don't do the changing on the floor thing, some people can do it no other way but your back after.... especially once they are wriggling round a bit and you have to try and keep them still at the same time as changing.... and if you have a boy, they have a pre-programmed PITA trait that says every time you take their nappy off, no matter how quick you are, they will wee everywhere, much easier to clear up a changer unit than the carpet (and have your brolly at the ready!! )

Have been into town, got DS2 some more books so will no doubt be back in by the end of the week trying to even out the pressie piles, again I should learn.

GYo · 08/10/2008 15:24

Worried Nat got blown away yesterday collecting DS. She did say she might do if she didnt re-appear!???!

GYo · 08/10/2008 15:19

Thanks Diege. Good point about delivery times... I will look into it.

I would normally also be of the Tink/Diege/Nat variety of organised purchasing but apart from superstition I dont want to put my DH under pressure re things to think about. He has been studying for for last 2yrs (as well as full time work)and he is finding it hard going getting finished when the baby is there to be thought of!

I plan to have a jolly good look around and ensure I know what we need to get and also check delivery times but keep it to myself. Then bombard him on the way home from handing it in his thesis! (ok so I might wait til he's had a beer or two

Will start looking properly after the 20wk scan. I feel an excel spreadsheet coming on. Im such a spreadsheet geek

Diege · 08/10/2008 15:11

Got those blue dunagrees in the end then eh

tinkisgoingtohaveagirl · 08/10/2008 14:54

hi

gyo ye dd is exciting
diege - nice that u thought of me - went back to tesco to get dd out of the house -

got blue dungarees with white flowers on
pack of 4 long sleeved tops
red courdroy trousers
beige courdroy trousers
another pck of sleepsuits and vests

not going to get anything else now until next slae on 27th of dec if i can manage to get there

Diege · 08/10/2008 14:44

Those clothes sound gorgeous TINKS . Had a browse around Primark in my lunchbreak and thought of you as there's some gorgeous baby girls stuff and really resonable too .
GYO. I think 31 weeks should be fine to buy stuff, but do remember that some of the bigger nursery items and prams etc usually need to be ordered and can take up to 12 weeks. If I were you I'd get going sooner rather than later, but then I am of the TINK/NAT school of retail

GYo · 08/10/2008 13:11

Its all so exciting Tink. For you and the stuff NJ has been getting together! Cant wait for the first wagon babies to arrive!!

So good you are so organised especially with xmas being in the way

Is your DD1 excited about having a little sister?

I was going to have an 'on the floor' changing station but have since heard it makes things much hard esp just after birth so your idea of a trolley with shelves is great idea!

I was planning to wait til after xmas to do nursery, buy big items/clothes etc (when Im 31+ weeks. Hope that isnt too late! Dh is very busy til the week before xmas (doing dissertation for his masters course) so no time to do anything much before then, and he needs to focus on that not the baby!)
