kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 18:28

He is at the age where he thinks he can do anything and he is invincible. Some days I find myself spending all day stopping him from doing stuff that is likely to end in a trip to A&E.

Diege · 10/10/2008 18:22
Grin
kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 18:21

Yeah ours would if DS is anything to go by.

Diege · 10/10/2008 18:19

Kay - our 'Louie' would be mad too

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 18:15

I hope everything will be ok Diege. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I loved Louie until my mum rescued a dog a few weeks ago called Louie. He is as mad as a mad thing!!

Diege · 10/10/2008 18:12

Thanks very much girls It really, really helps me to share my worries, and I know I'm not the first person here, and on mumsnet in general, to be extremely anxious after a mc. I am feeling symptoms, getting stronger each day closer to af (though cramps getting less now, peaking Mon/wed this week). How I'm going to cope with this level of stress for 9 months (god willing) I don't know - and more to the point how will the wagon
SES, if no af and still bfp next Friday will make an appointment for following week (week 6). Our GP is awol, so will no doubt get the same locum as last time who didn't even look at me but just spoke into a dictaphone (like some arsey city-slicker type).
Names-wise KAY I love Dylan (there again I am Welsh ) I also like Toby but dh looks at me as if I'm mad if I suggest it! LOVE Archie. If this one sticks no doubt I will trawl out the boys names yet again (still 'Louie')and have a girl (Matilda I think).
Having a final push with the house/dds, then I have a lecture to look forward to writing that I should have done yesterday when at the hairdressers .
Will try and pop in later - and thanks again xx

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 17:53

I didn't know about Toby either until my friend said it last week.

DH doesn't really like Noah, my mum wants us to use Dylan, which I have to admit its my fave. MIL wants us to call him Alfie but we have a friend called Alfie and we both find it strange.

We were tempted by Archie too.

I can't believe I am going to have the first wagon baby!!!

GYo · 10/10/2008 17:52

Im having exactly the same dilema playing.

Does feel like spoiling xmas but then its 50/50 either way!

Im sure we will decide on the day outside the scan room!

DH home now so going to pay him some attention

No doubt back on during the w/e

SesHasapinkline · 10/10/2008 17:49

Hi Kay! FWIW they're all good names but I especially like Ethan, Ryan, Riley and Scott. Hope your 9 weeks doesn't drag and look forward to the first wagon baby

OP posts:
Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:49

They're all nice names Kay. I do agree with your comments on Dylan and Oscar, had no idea that Toby was thought of as a gay name! TBH, with virtually all those names you can't go wrong, although I would say Noah is a bit too biblical for me, but thats just personal preference.

Right, I really need to go home now and try ans get rid of this headache!

Have a lovely weekend all and I will try and make more effort and remember to "pop in" next week!

SesHasapinkline · 10/10/2008 17:46

Hi!
Diege - I went and saw GP at about 5 weeks. Cried my eyes out when I told her as just feel felt so scared.
I've asked DH to delay our house warming til after 12 week scan as I know he'll want to tell everyone and I just can't yet. Almost as if, if I don't tell RL people, it's not quite real and that mat reduce my worry and, yes, that feeling of letting people down. See we're all as mad as eachother!

Playing - I know exactly what you mean about finding out sex being like opening Christmas present early. On the other hand, it would be practical to know but then DH would never keep it secret! Oh the circles we go round!

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 17:42

Yes I am having another boy. Well maybe, they can never say 100% but it looked like a boy at the scan.

Shortlist:
Dylan - Everyone thinks of the rabbit in Magic Roundabout
Toby - Lots of people think its a gay name and in Scotland is slang for penis!!!
Scott
Ryan
Ethan
Henry
Lucas
Noah
Oscar - I kinda think of it being a dogs name
Riley

Not so short though!!

Might just call him Ross Jnr

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:33

9 weeks OMG that is so soon!!! I have a vague recolection that someone posted that you were having another little boy? Or did I make that up? Whats your short list or have you not got that far yet? Apparently I was 10 days old before I had a name as my Dad wouldn't even discuss it before I was born in case the name didn't suit me

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 17:30

I'm ok, just tired all the time. It has been far too long!!!

I'm really really struggling with names. I've only got 9 weeks to try and choose something.

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:25

Hi Kay. I'm good, more importantly how are you? its been ages!

kayzisexpecting · 10/10/2008 17:23

Hi Playing!! How are you?

DS went for a nap so I decided to try and sort out his baby clothes but ended up fast asleep on the bed in a pile of clothes. I've woke up feeling really really sick.

On the swearing front(well kinda) DS says Mugga Bugga for Makka Pakka from In The Night Garden. Its really quite cute but MIL hates it and says its all my fault.

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:23

Hi Nat, sorry missed you post. at DS1. Sorry to hear that DS2 is poorly.

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:20

I'm living on gaviscon . It does help btu doesn't get rid of it.

It is scary who quickly time goes, am 18+5 now (so will actually be 19+5 at 20 wk scan).

I am really torn about the sex thing, part of my does want to know and not just cos it makes planning easier I also want to bond with the little baby inside me. The other part feels like its a bit like opening your xmas pressie early. Then again as my DH keeps saying, how much of a surprise will it actually be? If you knew you were going to get one of 2 things for xmas you would of course be happy with your gift but you wouldn't be "surprised". But then again even if it isnt a surprise as such, does not knowing make the birth just that little bit more special? Mind you, how much more special could giving birth to your first child be? See, I am a complete nutter, these debates just keep raging in my head .

GYo · 10/10/2008 17:14

Hi Nat
Hope your poor DS2 is feeling better soon..

All of my sister family are at it now.

Bye for now

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/10/2008 17:12

Evening

Diege, as has been said, but wanted to make doubly sure the message sinks in, firstly it is completely normal for you to worry more, and in fact would probably be strange if you didn't, and secondly, you never ever have to worry about us lot down . Do you remember all of my ramblings in the early weeks with this one? Anyone who is pregnant again after a MC is the same, and I should imagine after a MMC it's 100 times worse.

Hiya Playing

DS2 is feeling so sorry for himself, he keeps lying down on the sofa, then get's up and wants to play, but realises he is better off on the sofa, so climbs back up again... he is having some toast (first thing he'll have eaten today, and for the amount of stuff that has come out of him, he couldn't have had anything left in him) Fingers crossed it stays put, at least long enough for him to get some goodness from it.

And completely forgot to tell you all this morning, but thought you'd all like a laugh. We were driving home from Tesco yesterday, big truck didn't stop at the give way and nearly ploughed into us, now DH doesn't swear very often but said quite loudly "knobend" DS1 pipes up with "What's a no bend?"

Where's LB? Has she been on at all this week? Didn't she say she had hols from work or something?

Oh, toast isn't sticking..... have a good night everyone if I'm not back xxx

GYo · 10/10/2008 17:10

Hi Playing
Cant believe your scan date is next week. Feels like yesterday you were getting the BFP!

Im good thanks- now 17.5wks and having a similar dilema re finding out the sex. Really cant decide. :-) What do you think you will do?

Glad to hear your sickness has subsided but bad news about the heartburn. Are you taking anyhting?

Playingthe9monthwait · 10/10/2008 17:01

Yay Deige - I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Gruf - yes everything does seem ok. Have stopped being so dreadfully sick, just stuck with headaches and heartburn now. Got my 20wk scan in a week, so beginning to get excited and nervous. Still got to decide whether or not to find out the sex.

Gyo- how are you?

In fact, how is everyone?

GYo · 10/10/2008 16:55

Something else that came to mind Diege-re anxiety- its so normal and more so for your given the MC in the summer. Try and be nice to yourself about the worry and let it happen. Early days are really hard- when I've had concerns about my pregnancy the biggest thing I've worried about it if it went wrong was whether I could face going through those anxious few weeks at the start again....

I even think that now about a potential DC2!

GYo · 10/10/2008 16:51

Gruff- congratulations thats fantastic mark your must be dead chuffed. Good for you! Least you can relax over the w/e now!

Hope you start feeling a bit better. Any improvement this afternoon?

Hi Playing- nice to see you here, albeit briefly.

Diege- think its so natural to be anxious and you'd never be a bore! Those early days are such a killer when there is no way of knowing whats going on but try and keep positive. Also no need to to worry about what we might think on wagon re any bad news (not that it will happen! positive thinking here!) we are all here to support whatever happens!

I've been quiet as I've actually got my head down and sorted through my emails. Quite an achievement given that I had 2wks worth!

Wagon pot of tea and chocolate biscuits anyone?
