MsG · 20/09/2008 12:41

Still waiting for my AF, although it's not unusual for it to arrive later in the day or evening. Not holding my breath, though of course I am a bit...

yellowflowers · 19/09/2008 17:50

i tested today - bfn. still no af though

orangehead · 19/09/2008 14:51

wasabi- all my other pregancies got pfb a day or two before due.
sorry your feeling sad.

MsG · 19/09/2008 14:43

Congrats Jools and Cote! Fingers crossed for the rest of us. Not feeling particularly positive as I've been having stomachy gripes as I said, but I suppose I won't know for a few days.

wasabipeanut · 19/09/2008 13:43

Hello Orangehead - I'd give it a couple of days and try again. Its so wierd - some people get BFP's several days before they are due, and with some it seems to take a week or more afterwards. I guess hormone levels vary - good luck though.

Jools - I understand about your DP's confusion! I clearly remember the moment when I told my DH about DS - he had just come back from nipping out to the shops. I shouted from upstairs "you need to look at this (the test) I think I'm pregnant". His exact reply "oh alright, hang on I'll just go and put this cheese in the fridge".

He remained sort of nonplussed for a few days until it gradually filtered in. Men are such funny creatures!

orangehead · 19/09/2008 11:17

Congrats cote, keeping fingers crossed

CoteDAzur · 19/09/2008 11:15

3rd cycle lucky for us, too. BFP this morning!

Please keep fingers crossed for us - really hoping this is a sticky one, as I'm 37 and was running low on hope.

Sprinkling lots of baby dust all over the thread

Can I join in, was due on monday so four days late but bfn last night. Really confused, not sure how long to wait to test again if still not come on

Jools1 · 19/09/2008 11:09

Wasabi - I think DP is still in shock !!

To cut a long story shorter, we've been engaged nearly ten years (!) and he's always known I've wanted children. Unfortunately he had a very bad time with illness / taking his employers to tribunal and ended up out of work for 4 years, just at the time I wanted to TTC ! So, 2 years on from that and he's been in a decent (temp) job for a year - I tell him its now or never as we're both getting on a bit and he agrees to TTC, but I don't bother him with the details and he doesn't really want to talk about it... He said last night he never believed it would happen and I've tried not to say too much or force things - just let him absorb it all.

His biggest worry is age - the thought of being 60 when DC is 18 I don't like it either, but equally I can't bear to go through life without having a family of my own.

He will come round - he is not anti, just dazed and confused - and I'm still on Cloud 9

wasabipeanut · 19/09/2008 10:36

Thanks Jools - just because I am a bit sad doesn't mean I'm still not happy for you! How did your DH react?

Jools1 · 19/09/2008 10:29

Wasabi - if it helps, my lucky cycle was only number 3 - I felt exactly like you last cycle as I'd never realised before what a rollercoaster this all can be and had convinced myself there was no hope and I was too old ...

Have faith I am certain you will do it soon

wasabipeanut · 19/09/2008 10:23

Feeling a bit sad today. Only month 2 of trying so no right to be upset but I am.

MsG · 18/09/2008 23:20

Have awful PMT-type stomach ache today, worse than usual. So I'm not hopeful either. x

CoteDAzur · 18/09/2008 14:54

Mine is also due on 20th. After two months of heartbreak on BFN, I am definitely not testing.

I'm angry at the whole world today, which generally means AF its on its way, so not raising my hopes.

MsG · 17/09/2008 17:23

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining in... My AF is due on 20th, although it's really between 20th-23rd as since my mc last year it hasn't been as regular as it used to be. Sorry to hear about the sad experiences some of you have had. Claire, I hope you are all right after your horrible week!

I have no pg symptoms, I don't think. I was convinced I kept feeling a bit nauseous but that's passed and the slight twinges I've felt in my womb feel like PMT, really. I've been sweating a lot during the night but again, could be PMT or could be because I'm suffering a bit from anxiety at the moment.

Finding it so hard, this monthly pantomime!!

xx

sammysam · 17/09/2008 10:51

think i'm out for this month.
Had some brown cm last night and this morning-not too normal for me but really think af is about to start.
Getting so dishartened with this whole process-in hindsight dd being a complete surprise was the best thing in the whole wide world to have happened (it was a huge shock and took a while to get our heads round it, and feel I as didn't get to enjoy the pregnacy through worry, dps family's comments and buying our house and moving 80 miles-but there was none of this dissapointment, worry, stress, wishing etc )
ClairePO- This was going to be the first month I actually had a test ready and waiting
Good luck to everyone else-lets hope everyone else has good news

ClairePO · 17/09/2008 09:52

welcome sammysam (that's my no 2 cats name, Sam but I call him Sammy Sam)

I think period due Fri/Sat for me too, no symptoms other than slightly sore boobs which for me is a sign period due.

I have no tests in the house and can't walk due to broken foot and ocado don't sell pregnancy tests so I'm feeling quite calm knowing I couldn't test even if I wanted to.

I'm kinda hoping period starts tomorrow because I have to go to hospital on Friday anyway with foot and I could get my CD2 blood test done at same time bet that won;t work out!
