Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

expatinscotland · 04/03/2005 09:29

Munzi
Edinburgh. Just say it Edinbra and you'll have no prob.

  1. & 2) Yes, the castle is pretty much always cooler than the rest of town b/c a) it is right on the water b) it is one of the highest points in town so catches a lot of wind

3)the area around the castle is the mostly densely populated place in town and the biggest tourist spot in town. It is a/thing but rural. If you are bringing a car, I hope they allocate parking to you b/c it's hard to find in the Old Town where the Castle is and the parking attendants are minions of Satan.

  1. The shops are the same as any you'd find in the UK and the high street is an easy downhill walk from the Castle. However, there is no good chippy near the Castle and it's necessary to walk a bit downhill to Nicolson Street to find a good one. There is one in the 'Royal Mile' that flanks the Castle but it's PANTS and a rip off. On the plus side, you are walking distance to Starbucks.

  2. I knew a fella who actually lived in the Castle when he was in the Army, but he was also single at the time. Dunno where they put couples.

Best o' luck. It's nice and chilly here today but clear and no wind. Bonus.

munnzieb · 04/03/2005 09:17

ooh and forgot to say - TAN damnnnn good to c u girl! lol, fingers crossed for u, (u can start the next thread!)

ooh and update on hester, she went for her scan and the little beanie is doing well. she's 7 weeks 3 days.

(4 months after as well SP, so you never know, I know it's hard but try to stay positive.)

munnzieb · 04/03/2005 09:15

((((hugs))))) sparkley, oh honney, I know u don't feel it now but things will get better, you just take ur time to heal, and eat lots of choc, (and look at young hester, 4 months after her MC she was PG again). you and DP have a good pamper sesh of each other.

Fresco - (bit of topic) but DH rang me last night and told me he's decided were off to edinbourgh for next postin......... HELP!!!!!...... I have some questions (cos i'vve only been there in november for 2 days to the Army camp)

  1. what's the castle like as apparently that's where we'll be living.
  2. is it always cold
  3. what's the area like in general, u know rural etc...
  4. importantly what r the shops like
  5. do u have any idea where the army estate is if it's not on the castle? I'm gonna look on the army web site, and if I don't like it i'll try and convince DH to stay in the south (i'd prefer aldershot/London but hwe wants scotland!) - I mean were already in Wales ...... Wahts wrong with England!!?? lol, anyhow hon, and advise is greatly appriciated on that one.

Sorry to crash into your thread but just wanted to send Sparkly {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}.

Sparkly we have been through similar experiences on "TTC for the cautious" and "missed m/c sat here waiting" so if you need a shoulder ....
It can be a tough time and very up & down so be very kind to yourself.

sparkly · 03/03/2005 20:57

Just a quick update as I'm not feeling too great tonight. Went to the early pregnancy clinic today and, as I already knew, I have had a miscarriage. Was horrible as after the scan went back into the tiny waiting room where one of the other women asked how it went and if we knew the sex. Just lied and it was fine and no we didn't - I know she meant nothing by it but it still hurt.

Anyway, because I'm Rh- I had to have an anti-d injection to protect any future pregnancies. Was a bit annoyed that the GP didn't mention this as it's best given 72 hours after a miscarriage. Anyway, I had today off work and am not going in tomorrow either. Need some me time to get my head together. DP was wonderful though and didn't mind when I cried after the scan. Give me a month to put this behind me and I'll be gracing the ttc thread once again!

popadopalis · 03/03/2005 19:45

Sorry Fresco just realised it was you who asked what my job was! I apologise didn't mean to ignore you! It's a M & B unit as I said. lots of lovely new borns at the moment. Makes me even more broody!!

ES - Sorry your feeling crappy. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello Nikkchik and katierocket!

lol @ Munzie's link re. PMS!!!!

popadopalis · 03/03/2005 18:50

Hello everyone!! I had to wait until now to get home and get my daily fix. Wasn't sure if I'd last!! It was touch and go for a while at work!! We don't have internet at work which is probably a good thing as I'd be sacked within a week I think!!!

Cp3 - I work in a mother and baby unit of all things!! It's for new mothers or pregnant, homeless, young girls. It's not the clients that's the hellish part it's the company I work for and the way things are done.

And no it wasn't the boob I was lying on!! No boob ahes today but I felt slightly sicky for about half an hour!! I don't think I'm pg this month but there's always hope!

Munzie - glad I'm not the only one who gets over excited about sore boobs!!! I feel somewhat normal after speaking to you guys on here!! I have to be so hush hush when I'm at work!!

Well I'm CD29 now and just want next week to come so I can know one way or the other. I have mixed feelings about it.

cp3 · 03/03/2005 15:32

Im so cerain that my af will come next week that i have ordered some fertitly plus tablets from the health shop. Anyone else take theese???? And can you carry on taking them when and if you fall pregant do you know as they are quite expensive.

fresco · 03/03/2005 15:13

munnzieb · 03/03/2005 13:20

expatinscotland · 03/03/2005 12:48

At this point in time I just want to get it over with! , cuz this pmt is pants!

katierocket · 03/03/2005 12:34

I've just started acupuncture too munnizie - very excited about it.
expat that AF feels like it's coming - rubbish isn't it.

munnzieb · 03/03/2005 09:29

well anything's worht a shot, so if we're not PG by end of June and the DR is still messing about I may well follow ur lead and go to the accupunturist.

anyhow, I supose I'd best get and do some work now, (i'll pop on later on - I can use the upstairs comp without anyone knowing!) god u see the addition levels of this site! lol.
