Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

katierocket, sorry you've had a visit from the OB today as well.

Fresco, buddy , it's definitely possible to bfeed and conceive - my cousin did it a couple of times. There are people on here tandem nursing, I'm sure (and definitely more than one who's nursing and pregnant).

I'm 30 this year, but have endometriosis and PCOS so have lots of things affecting my fertility. Pretty much knew that AF was going to show up this month - didn't feel pg at all. Think I may need clomid again - fell pg with DS on first try after 11 months ttc.

Will be interested to hear your test results - I don't think that 36 is too late at all.

Hugs, buddy! xxx

OK, thanks Fresco (I was katierocket, then nasa now back to katierocket, just to confuse you!)
AF arrived today but it's not like I wasn't expecting it. I still can't believe it's 9 months TTC though. It seems like such a long time.

Welcome Bev, you'll find this board really helpful and supportive.

cp3 · 22/02/2005 15:05

Had the smear, its been five years since the last and i very much doubt im pregnant. What will be will Be!!!!

fresco · 22/02/2005 14:19

hunkermunker, hen,i have nominated you as my BUDDY.we are definitly in the same boat you and i.i am going to call surgery tomorow as they may hav the results by then and see if doc wants to discuss anything with me.I was convinced that while /feeding u cant conceive but look at Geordie, she b/f and got pg.
how old areyou huntermunker? i am 36 but dont think its too late.i will definitely let you know about results.whats your opinion/verdict about it?

Worriedbev, i am thinking of you.but mayb your hubby wants to find out himself?

nasa, do you feel better now?

MINNIE1 · 22/02/2005 14:06

Diege, Welcome...
My cycle is 29-36 days.. I mentioned it to my doc and she said it is normal as long as there is no bleeding in the middle of my cycle.. Alot of us here have long cycles.. What CD are you on??

horseshoe · 22/02/2005 13:46

CP3,

i had a smear 4 weeks ago and they asked if I could be pg so maybe you should double check.

Diege · 22/02/2005 13:24

Thanks everyone! One (of many questions). I always assumed that AF happened 14 days after OV (ie, long cycle meant late OV). Last month my ov stick things showed O on day 14, but period started day 35? (the liver one!). I consider myself a true internet dr. (as my own GP knows only too well), so have already diagnosed implantation problems (Luteal phase defect to be precise). Can post-ovulation sometimes last longer than 14 days?

cp3 · 22/02/2005 13:21

22 Million sounds alot to me Bev, you only need one. Maybe try searching on the net for some info.

Any advice on the smear anyone or shall i just ask when i get there?????

horseshoe · 22/02/2005 13:13

Hi Deige,

Welcome...I have also recently actively joined these threads. We are TTC no 2. It's proving alot harder than when we tried with no 1.

Hopefully you wont be here too long so sending you lots of baby dust

horseshoe · 22/02/2005 13:09

Worriedbev,

Just found out that anything under 20million per ml is a low sperm count......so 22 million is OK.

Afterall it only takes one!!

HunkerMunker · 22/02/2005 13:08

Hi Diege - welcome and don't worry about tmi on ttc threads

First time on, though have been lurking for a few weeks! Really helpful knowing that I'm not going crazy with my 'I definitley am...definitely not'thinking. Trying for no.3, and on month 4 (ov due any day??). Conceived during first month with dd's, and think something may be not quite right as I recently had surgery for pre-cancerous cervical cells. Periods totally crazy (from 24-35 days) and last month (too much info for first post! - LIVER!!!). Argghhh!! Hope you'll have me, and it's OK being no.3!

MINNIE1 · 22/02/2005 12:46

Worriedbev,
Positive thinking is what you need.. We are trying for 19 months in total with one mc.. We know it can happen but were just not hitting the spot on time..

MINNIE1 · 22/02/2005 12:44

hula,
there was a persona for sale yesterday.. £20

Worriedbev · 22/02/2005 12:44

Thanks Minnie

Still very apprehensive about him doing the test but I suppose unless we go ahead with it, we will never know and at least if there is a slight problem we can do something about it.

love Bevxx

Worriedbev · 22/02/2005 12:42

cp3

Thanks for your advice and friendly words.
I am not giving up hope that it will happen but must try to stay calm. Do you know if 22 million is a high sperm count or not?

Me too am supposed to be booking a smear test, long overdue, but I am also scared to make one just in case pregnancy does occur. I am going to ring my nurse tomorrow and ask if it is ok. If you dont get any advice before then I will let you know what she says.

love Bevxx

MINNIE1 · 22/02/2005 12:42

Best of luck to you and keep us up to date on your ivf..

WB, Hope the test come back with good results.. Sending You ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))

Worriedbev · 22/02/2005 12:41

Horseshoe

Thank you ever so much for your friendly words and support. We have been trying for 10 months and I suppose I have been getting anxious about it. I am quite a stressed out person anyway, always on the go, so this probably doesnt help. My daughter of 11 is a real diamond from a previous relationship. She took a year to conceive and I was only 29, so I wont give up and will wait to see what the sperm test says, although still very anxious about it and will be until the result arrives.

love Bevxx

cp3 · 22/02/2005 12:34

Oh Bev, really feel for you. Dont know what advice to offer but good luck with the test, let us know how you get on. We will be here for you if you need to talk.

Can anybody help with this question. Im booked in for a smear today, gross, Where do they scrape from?

and would you have one if ttcing, is it dangerous, Not that think i am pregnant but you never know do you.

horseshoe · 22/02/2005 12:32

Worriedbev,

How long have you been trying for now?? you say you have been together for a year so presuming it is less than that.... the doctors were not worried when I had told them that I had been trying for a year as they pointed out that it's slightly harder the older you get.....

Hopefully this is the case for you......try not to get too stressed about it....(easier said than done I know) but that also could be a cause of not getting pregnant. Are you using any OV tests to help you??

Anyway, we are all here for you and sending you lots of baby dust

Hulababy · 22/02/2005 12:14

Where did my post go??????????

CD26, 7DPO I think. But OVd late and temps are low, so not holding out much hope this month. AF due from weekend onwards. Spending weekend near London with friends. They are expecting their first baby in June

Thinking of stopping temping after OV. Only part of the monitoring stuff I fond stressful. Every change in temp after OV has been on edge wondering. And I have 6 months worth to no avail as it is.

about AF HunkerMunker

Hi Tania Glad to hear IVF is working out for you and the process isn't as bad as you had thought. Fingers crossed for you

Worriedbev · 22/02/2005 12:07

Hi ladies

Can I join you. Feeling really depressed today. My AF arrived this month too. On day 6 of cycle now. Partner has a few days off this week and wants to go and have his sperm test done tomorrow. I dont want him to go in case I am upset at what the outcome is. He had a reversal of a vasectomy about 8 years ago and was told his sperm count was 22 million then. I am petrified it might have dropped and if it is bad news I dont know how I can go on. I desperately want another child with this man. He has four grown up children - he is 60, I have a daughter of 11 - I am 41. We have only been together a year and as his second wife couldnt have any more children as she wasnt producing eggs, he had had the reversal for nothing after he met his second wife but is glad now he has had it, as there is some hope for us now, but how much hope. We desperately want a baby together. I am at work right now and if I wasnt I would sit down and cry, that is how bad I feel today. I think I would prefer to go on not knowing, at least this way I dont know it is impossible but what if the result is bad. I dont know how I will cope. I desperately want to tell him not to do it. What do you think?

love Bevxx

Tania2 · 22/02/2005 12:03

G'day girls,
Some may remember me some wouldnt even know me. Been away for a while just thought i would pop by and see how my buddies are going. I see that RudyDudy graduated YIPPEE you go girl. Anyone else i missed.
Sorry to see that Munnz, Hula, nasa and minnie are still about Lots of baby dust your way girls. Hope you are all well and not getting too depressed in the ttc journey.
For those of you who dont remember iam from Australia and was on this thread from Number 6 i think it was and just b4 xmas we found out that i have blocked tubes and we have to do ivf. After a natural pg with ds this was a HUGE shock to us so the ivf journey begun. Started with the injections last Wednesday and feel like my ovary's are like tennis balls and have been told that by the time the injections are over i will feel like i have two footballs in there had a scan today and everything looks great may have about 16 eggs atm still have 6 or 7 days to go till i have my eggs collected for fertalisation it all has gone so quick and it doesnt seem that long ago that i was on here crying about having to do IVF but it really isnt that bad. The injections were scary at first but now i do them myself and it is actually easy. AND my moods arent that bad (i dont think so anyway dont know what dh thinks)

Have we heard from Hester, Jeddah or BeckiF???

Really miss talking to you guys you were my life line for so long (1 year) god that went fast didnt it.

Take care guys and hope there is more BFP next time i pop in ....So other that RD who else i know has graduated????

Love to ya all
Tan
xxxxx
