Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

DH just come back from hospital. Done his sperm test,
no going back now. 8 - 10 days until the results come
through. What if it is zero - how will I cope then,
there will be nothing we can do to have a baby then. In
a way wish he hadnt done it so there was still some
hope. It is going to be a long wait and very
distressing to wait. Help. Bevxx

Just wanted to send big hugs to everyone who af has arrived. Its soooo disappointing and upsetting , I find by the time i'm due i have managed to convince myself that this month might just be the one and then feel so low when its not.

Has anyone out there used the ovulation kits? I use them each month and I now know when my most fertile 2 days are but am a little confused about when the best time to "you know" (what am I supposed to call it on here?) . Is it on my most fertile days or leading up to it or both?

Question for you wise ones!

Have been charting my temps this month and have got a peak today plus had EWCM yesterday and just wondering what means in terms of when I actually O'd. Don't know if I've missed it as bd'd sat and yesterday. Can someone explain how it works please so I can be ready next month! By the way doesn't four weeks until you can even have the possibility of trying again seem like a really long time?!

MINNIE1 · 23/02/2005 11:31

expatinscotland, i was just looking this up.... I am going to go for it, Have a list and will ring around this evening and see if it could help..

expatinscotland · 23/02/2005 11:16

I had been TTC dd for 5 months and was really starting to despair. A friend recommended an accupuncture therapist who specialised in fertility issues - the therapist works out of Neal's Yard. Went to her for a month and go pregnant the very same month (the 6th month of TTC)! I was REALLY skeptical at first, and whilst on the table could feel warmth flowing to that area, but still felt normal. Now I'm a believer!

Worriedbev · 23/02/2005 11:06

Thanks KatieRocket

Will await the package. You are so kind.

I am prepared to starting giving things a go now as 10 months is such a long time to try without conceiving, or I think so,although it probably isnt from reading this board.

love bevxx

katierocket · 23/02/2005 10:50

no problem Bev, will post them off. You might want to email mumsnet and just get them to delete your post with the address on it. I'm sure there won't be a problem but you might not want your address on a 'public' board. To be honest, don't know much about acupuncture and fertility but know it has some success and as desperate will try anything! Sounds like expat might know more?

Worriedbev · 23/02/2005 10:42

Thanks KatieRocket

My address is 37 Washington Drive, Slough, Berkshire SL1 5RD. You are very kind. As I say I havent tried this method before, although I had a blood test which confirmed I wasnt going through the change as my last couple of periods were a bit irregular. I am 41 now so feel a bit old to have a child, although I know it isnt impossible. I already have a beauiful daughter of 11 from a previous relationship so it is not as though I havent had any children. She is my life. It would be nice to have one for me, my partner and my daughter who would absolutely love it and be a great sister to it. I may try acupunture. Does it work for men or just women do you know. If you can give me some details on this I would be grateful.

love and thanks. Bevxx

katierocket · 23/02/2005 10:39

bev, happy for you to have them. Can you CAT me and send me your address and then I'll post them off. Don't know about sperm count, sorry, I guess that will be next step for us if my test comes back today and says that I have ov'ed (i.e. then they will check DP?)

expat - I have appointment to see acpunturist next week, apparently he specialises in fertility problems so I'm hopeful.

Worriedbev · 23/02/2005 10:34

KatieRocket

I would love to have the tests from you if you havent already given them to anyone else. I have not tried this method before and wanted to try it but it is expensive. I would love to give it a trial go so if you are happy for me to have them let me know and I will give you my address.

Many thanks.
Bevxx

expatinscotland · 23/02/2005 10:30

Aw, horshoe. I'm sorry.

Katie, I'm in the same boat. Haven't had a + OPK or EWCM, so haven't O'd this cycle. Guess it's not all a bad thing as having visitors first week in March and just a very busy March in general. But looks like going to have to go back to my accupuncture therapist. Wishing you the best with your results.

lunavix · 23/02/2005 10:28

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I have been lurking for a while though.

I'm hoping to ttc after april this year, am on the last month of injection atm so I know it may take longer than expected! This will be baby number two, as we also have ds (10 months). I already have a persona at the ready, and I am hopefully going to try those methods to see if we can concieve a girl, however I will be more than happy with another ds

I know realistically our chances are slim til april, but I thought I'd say hi as you'll all be hearing more from me soon

Worriedbev · 23/02/2005 10:25

Morning ladies

My DH is off for his sperm test today at the hospital,
poor thing. We wont get the results for a while but at
least it will be done. I will be fearing the worst.
When I first met him I said it didnt matter if we didnt
have any children together so why is it so important
now. He has grown up daughters, but without children
but in relationships and I don know how I would be able
to cope seeing them with children and him making a fuss
of them as his grandchildren if we cant have children
of our own. I am so scared the relationship will go
bad and I love him so much. How will I cope with
this. I can only hope the result is one we both want
to hear. What is the lowest number of sperm that a man
can have before IVF treatment can be considered? Does
anyone know?

love Bevx

katierocket · 23/02/2005 10:21

anyone want 10 OV tests?
I bought them on medisave but have now switched to a persona so don't need them. No charge.

gingerbear · 23/02/2005 10:02

Good luck for you interview Hula!

horseshoe · 23/02/2005 09:53

LOL....my other threads will explain it. I have constantly moaned about it.

Xmas was my biggest fear as we had dinner there.

They just dont listen to me...I can be sitting in the same room as his mother and she will shout out to DP in the other room to see if she can change the nappy. I asked them for xmas to give us an idea of what they were getting DD for xmas so I could make sure no-one doubled up they told me I had a cheek in asking. Anyway they doubled up but the toy didn't work so I asked them to get vouchers in return. Guess what...they just exchanged the toy...arrggghhhh I wouldn't mind but it was a big toy and now I have 2 of the things.

When his brother came down he asked if he could take DD out. but I never saw him. He sent his mother to collect her. As she was ill I asked told them I would call. They switched their phones off and I later found out that DD had cried for me for 2 hours after they took her.

DP's Nan wrote something awful in DD's first xmas card about how she must be such a bad nan as I never go to visit. Truth is if I knocked on her door she wouldn't know who I was.

See you've set me off now

fresco · 23/02/2005 09:40

funny because one of the midweves/health visitor backin cockenzie had the same pb with her hubbys family, and they are irish.
imust admit that it is the reason why i decided to carry on b/feeding past 4 months, so they wouldnt get their hands on kyla.stupid isnt it?

fresco · 23/02/2005 09:28

HS!! thanks for relating to me...
what is it like for you?
it took me awhile, as scottish families are very close and am a bit the outsider...never saw that kind of thing in london, but i still find it hard to accept.i am so 'not close' to my family, never have been.i think thats why i want lots of babies and am possessiv.but how does it go for u?

horseshoe · 23/02/2005 09:24

Fresco...you must be living in my world.

I'm surprised after 5 yrs DP's family even know my name. In fact his nan doesn't...
