Thought I'd start another thread as the last one was SO successful but is starting to take a while to load and I keep losing my place in it!

A quick update on my stats - on CD39 of third cycle since getting AF back after DS was born in April 2004 (10.5 months old).

Have endometriosis and PCOS so have decided to let nature take its course over the next few months and if I fall pg naturally, then so be it. If I don't, then we'll try clomid again (worked first time for us with DS).

Am still breastfeeding, so have erratic cycles - they were always long (so far have had AF visit twice and had 50 and 42-day cycles).

No idea when I ov - may try OPK's next month if no success this month (and don't think I am pg atm).

Think that's it!

Lots and lots of babydust to all the ttcers and lots and lots of babyglue to those who've just had BFPs (and more congrats!). xxx

BB where r u in ur cycle?/ are you PG, that's my first question.

Pop - er, persona, def recommend them, i'm an avid fan! lol. i got mine from Ebay for £17 incl the postage, they can easily be re set. have a look on the forsale boards there's normally a couple floating about on here. i'll have a look for u now.

Rantus, glad everything's ok hon.

Canadianmom · 28/02/2005 19:36

BabyBop: I am sorry that you are still waiting for an answer... I wish that I had one for you. I have never bled following BD... I assume that this must be a first for you as well. How do you fell otherwise? Sorry for being ignorant (and lazy for not looking it up) but where are you in your cycle?

Hope someone else comes along with a better answer soon.

BabyBop · 28/02/2005 19:15

can anyone answer my question please? I am a bit worried now as I have been bleeding all day.

sparkly · 28/02/2005 19:05

runtus - I have had that happen when taking provera and my dr at the time said to keep taking and stop as originally planned. Presumably they did a pg test before giving you the provera anyway so you're safe to keep taking it. Good luck with the clomid, too, hope it works for you.

sparkly · 28/02/2005 19:03

Went to the dr's this afternoon. He was really nice. Said that since, in theory anyway, I was 6 weeks pregnant, I needed to go for a scan at the early pregnancy clinic. He suggested the bleeding should be worse than it is (sorry, don't mean to be gross) so wanted me to get checked out. I know this might sound stupid but I know it's over - I hate having to go through all this extra stuff. Plus, I obviously haven't said anything to anyone else, least of all to work, and I had this afternoon off and now need Thursday morning off for my appointment. DP is away again and I want to be mad at him for going but I know he had to go. This is so hard

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 19:01

Can anyone tell me if it's worth buying a persona monitor? Seems really expensive so don't want to buy if it's not worth it. If so where can I get one cheaply?

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 18:53

Munzie and HunkerMunker - Thank you for your welcome. I'm addicted to this already. Left Dh watching boring telly!!!

How long have you been trying? How many babies do you have already?

HunkerMunker · 28/02/2005 18:39

Hi popadopalis, welcome to the ttc thread. Hope this one's lucky for you hun!

Runtus, good luck with the clomid - that's how DS was conceived on the first month of trying, so I have my fingers crossed it's easy for you too!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Marinda. Hope all goes well.

runtus · 28/02/2005 18:19

Munzie - thanks for responding. I managed to talk to my Consultant finally and he has told me to start the Clomid tomorrow and forget about the last Provera pill. I just didn't know what to make of it really, wasn't expecting to come on so soon espcially as last time it was 3 days after finishing the course!

Glad to have been re-assured!

munnzieb · 28/02/2005 18:09

fresco - i'm soo pleased for u hon! isn't it great to be 'normal' lol.

rantus - can you possibly talk to your gp/ gyno about it if you are worried? I don't know how these things progress.

Pop - hiya and welcome, it won't be long b4 ur barking orders at ur DP/H to get ready for u to pounce cos todays the day! lol, and that will be the only time u'll see him cos the rest of the time u'll be sat here, talking about CM and other bodily functions! lol.

Marinda - good luck hon. hope it all goes well, Hester's booked hers in for thursday (7 weeks) so fingers crossed all will be OK for her, althou she's telling me she's feeling v sick! - god girls - do we really want to do this! lol. (of course we do!) lol.

marinda · 28/02/2005 17:36

PS Have scan tomorrow - so scared ......

marinda · 28/02/2005 17:35

hi all - i'm from ttc m/c thread but check up on how you guys are doing from time to time.

munnzie - i can answer your KY question! DONT use it when ttc'ing - definitely a no-no. kills the little fellows apparently. according to the fabulous toni weschler book (taking charge of your fertility) she says lubricants, such as KY and even saliva (!!) are bad news i'm afraid.

hope that helps. good luck everyone.

runtus · 28/02/2005 14:45

I've been prescribed a 7 day course of Provera (to induce a period) and then a second course of Clomid (to induce ovulation). Now last time I had Progestrone tablets I think I came on about 3 days after the course finished and then on day 2 I started the Clomid.

I am now on day 6 of the provera and have started to bleed - should this happen or am I panicking for no reason, just becuase it was different last time????

Help not sure what to do!

mummygow · 28/02/2005 13:11

Sparkly (((hugs)))

Hi everyone thank you for you kind congratulations - I feel so honoured that you are all happy for me when I know the torture most of you are going through every month - I feel so guilty that it happened so quickly this time round as I know you all want it just as much as me. As you all know it took me 8 months the first time and I can only thank you all for your support and knowledge this time round, especially HB, MB and JM you really helped me with all my stupid questions.

I wish I could do babydust to you all but I dont know how to do it but you know my best wishes are with you all and I will be popping in and out to check on all your progress.

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 12:05

Everyone - gotta go to work now. I'm glad I've discovered this thanks to fab friend Twiga. Speak later. Bye bye!

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 11:51

hulababy - I did the temping thing for a couple of months but my temp changed so much every day that I couldn't find a dramatic change so gave up.

I might try OPK's and monitor CM. What OPK is the best?

fresco · 28/02/2005 11:51

ok, next BFP? who wants to be? hehehe.what a daft question

expatinscotland · 28/02/2005 11:49

Aw, Nelli. . Been there, bought the tshirt. I never keep pregnancy tests in the house or buy them now b/c I think they are ALL evil, especially those digital ones that say 'Not Pregnant' .

At least w/this cycle, I know there was no O, so I'll be ready and waiting for the Witch AF when she shows up.

Hope you get your BFP SOON!

Hulababy · 28/02/2005 11:44

popa - even with the temping. looking for EWCM and using OPKs I have found that I OV one different CDs each month, and my cycle length varies too. I am going to forget about the temping for a bit now - stresses me out after OV - and just monitor CM I think.

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 11:43

My stats: I'm 26, Dh is 29, no babies as of yet. I was on the pill and cycles went crazy after that. They are settling down now but no two cycles are the same so difficult to tell when I'm ov.

Hulababy · 28/02/2005 11:42

Nelli - I agree, don't feel bad, I got to CD32 a few months ago and I was convinced I must be pg - never been that late. But alas, no. I wasn't. Makes AF seem so unfair and horrid.

Diege · 28/02/2005 11:41

Nelli29,
I know it's the worst feeling, and you feel so stupid that you've read all the signs wrong. I was 6 days late last month and (I can hardly admit it, the shame , but I even went so far as to order maternity clothes off the net arggh - how humiliating!!). You say you'll never trust your instints again, but every month... You will feel better in 3-4 days! (choccie helps).

popadopalis · 28/02/2005 11:39

Hey Fresco, nope, shorten away!! I haven't any babies yet.. Been trying for five months. I'm 26 and very impatient!

Hulababy · 28/02/2005 11:36

Nelli

Popa (hope don't mind it being shortened - I can't spell!) - what are your stats?

I am 32, DH is 31, have one DD (aged 2y 10m) who took a while to concieve, been TTC for #2 for 6 months now, on month 7 as of yesterday. Been temping and using OPKs to try and help.
