So much to catch up on!

Ses- good luck with the midwife! let us know how it goes

Cal- the new matress sounds great- definately helpful for a good nights sleep!

Morning Nat any decision about the barnyard vs zanzibar yet?

2BG- how are you ? Has the news well and truly sunk in?

Dal- sorry to here you might be delayed in TTC, we are all still here and will be for a long time! Glad your Dr is giving you the meds you need.

More work today, then painting all weekend- AGAIN! Feels like it will never end, but it needs to before DH self combusts due to lack of progress ...

Off to see what there is for breakfast in our office canteen. Hopefully something tasty.

Good morning

Well no nice long soak for me, spent the evening clearing the playroom up properly (BTW whoever said they were of the play room, it is in fact just my dining room, but we have taken the legs off the table and put it under our bed (!!) Just gives them more room to play, but we lost our dining table in the process ) Anyway, we did the play room, then DH asked if I'd do his hair, then 8 out of 10 cats was on, then it was well past my bed time!

Cal, hope DS is/was better last night/today? How was the monster bed? It's too early to try and make that about sex. I just did didn't I? I can't help it, honestly.... Change of subject, DS2 has a big Igglepiggle and a small one, small one goes everywhere with him, and he also gives him kisses and cuddles, for some reason DS2 calls his Igglepiggle 'Mama' - cheers for that George, makes me feel really special!

Gruff, sorry for eye mask going bang Very dissapointing.

Diege, enjoy the conference

Ses good to see you back sweetie, I think I speak for everyone when I say don't feel like you have 'over whinged'. Good luck at the MW's, hope she can offer you some reassurance somehow.

I have DS1's school photos today, DS2 is getting in on the action so that should be fun! I might nip into town if the weather is OK later, DH picked DS1 up some Wii games for xmas (£15 each in Morrisons if anyone is interested? There was a thread about it) so he has spurred me back into xmas action. Thought I might get a few bits in town.

Spose I'd better get DS2 up, normally he is up at sunrise, but today because we have to get to school early for the photos, guess what? He decides to sleep in.... Think he might have to have his breakfast when we get back from school.

Hi just popped in, can't possibly catch up on all the posts today.
I might have to change my ttc date, don't worry ladies, it's still happening, it's just i've been up and down for a while and the doc has finally put me on AD's, she wants me to be on them for about 6 months so it just depends on how I feel after that, then I can come off them hopefully and ttc. At a guess it might be more like feb/march onwards.

Back later but off to bed now, night all x

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 22:19

Night Cals! Yeah a gel mask - I must have over heated it in the microwave - oops!

Bed sounds good - enjoy! I'll expect a review tomorrow morning

calsworld · 11/09/2008 22:11

Right, I typed this ages ago but forgot to post it and just re-read to catch up before pressing send, and this is what I was going to say:

GS - You burnt your eye mask? WTF were you doing with it are you OK?!

But now I've re-read it, I see it says 'burst' not 'burnt' so guess you didn't have cream slapped on your face but one of those plasticky gel filled things? LOL - I was really quite concerned!!

Diege - Good luck tomorrow, sounds good, don't forget leaning forward, no crossed arms or legs (bad for your legs anyway) and drink water if you get bored!

The mattress arrived quite early - about 12.30 (supposed to be 1-5) but was good as it meant I could just delay DS nap ever so slightly and not interfere with his routine too much. We've 'built' it now and its ridiculously high! It must be at least 4x as thick as what we had before! DS tried to get off (normally not a problem) and plopped down onto his bottom, not great for a poorly boy at the end of the day - he's OK really but there's not way he's going to be able to climb onto it without a ladder - the top of the mattress is at my crotch height !

Bed sheets are a VERY tight squeeze too - so think I can justify a shopping trip to find some new sheets (See Tink, I'm learning )

Also Diege, DS already has (although he doesn't know) 3 Iggle Piggles as he is sooooo attached. DH just raised his eyebrows at me for getting them and asked where I was keeping all the spares . Ahhhh, if it makes my little boy happy when he's feeling pants I don't mind

I haven't done my run today, but that's OK as I can try and do it tomorrow instead - nag me everyone - please!

Ses, good to hear from you, glad things are going away - that comment sounds incredibly twattish, am that anyone would say anything so, well, stupid.

Am off to snuggle down in clean sheets on my mega mattress (perhaps I'll take a piccy and post it - will need to engage DH's assistance for that - perhaps I'll just measure the bloody thing!

Right, I'm offski....g'night all.

(PS - GS and Ses, I know exactly what you mean about saying goodnight...DH and I have a rule when I'm away, that when you decide to go to bed you phone the other one, so that we don't have set times...so if I haven't heard from DH I ring him, and vice versa. Works well for me as being out with business colleagues and usually one of the only women there, it feel it looks a bit feeble if I'm constantly clock or phone watching. Can't beat a last 'goodnight' )

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 22:11

Thanks Ses, you sleep well too. Hope midwife appointment goes well!

Fridays are my day off so will be around. Take care!

SesHasapinkline · 11/09/2008 22:08

I find my DH is either one extreme or the other - either can't stop talking or needs some quiet time. Fortunately we're both the same and I usually like to have a bit of chill time on my own a few times each week.

I always find it amazing how we fit together in little things like that. It's good to remember that regularly so that we don't take eachother for granted.

Tomorrow I'm "working from home". Well I will be a lot of the day but I'm going to see midwife at 9am and getting a haircut in the afternoon. I know it's early to see MW but I thought it would be useful to offload on her and get things rolling. My GP said not to worry about seeing her sooner rather than later, so I am! I think I'll be 5+3 tomorrow when I see her.

Right - guess I should try and get some sleep. Hope you sleep well Gruff and your headache's gone by the morning.

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 22:01

I did speak to him earlier but its not the same as before going to bed!

Def a necessity, just doesn't feel right otherwise. Also DH talks the hind legs of a donkey so I need to make sure he tells me about his day today, or tomorrow night I'll get a double whammy

SesHasapinkline · 11/09/2008 21:57

Not at all. Sorry didn't cotton on to the fact he'd be away all night (don't know why!)
DH and I have never had a day when we haven't at least spoken! I used to think that was pathetic in others before I met DH but now it's not soppy more a necessity!

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 21:55

ah thats good then.

i will try and stay awake. we both find it really hard to be away from each other - even if its just one night - i need to speak to him even if its just to say goodnight. that probably makes me sound like a bit of a nutter. he'll be home at 5pm tomorrow!

SesHasapinkline · 11/09/2008 21:51

Hi Gruff!

Fortunately he has a fantastic attitude to his disability so let it wash over him after we all shared an initial rant! Just unbelievable though!

Are you going to try and stay awake for 22.30 then? Or will you be able to text DH and tell him how you're feeing and that you're going to go straight to bed?

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 21:49

I mean terrible AT going to bed - doh!

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 21:48

Good to hear from you Ses. Glad the house move is coming along nicely!

I am completely shocked by the bejing comment - you should have said 'saw you there and wondered why you werent in the zoo!' honestly the blimmin cheek of some people. Did he think he was being funny?

Soz I do get a bee in my bonnet about these things. Hope your friend took it ok.

My head is still pants but I am terrible and going to bed - plus am supposed to be speaking to DH on the phone at 22.30 (hes on a night shift)

SesHasapinkline · 11/09/2008 21:29

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been so quiet the last few days. I was just getting to the stage where I was feeling a bit too self absorbed and would just have been posting v repetitively about how stressed and worried I am.

Diege - the book arrived from Amazon arrived a couple of days ago and I have made a start. I think it will be very useful so thank you v much.

On a brighter note, we should be exchanging on our house move either tomorrow or Monday all being well.

I feel like I've had full blown symptoms today. Woke up with a headache, feeling really tired and feeling queasy. Headache was gone by about 11am, tried to ignore the tiredness (although I am in bed now!) and the queasiness hasn't really gone although I haven't got as far as retching or being sick. Just had some tomato soup for tea.
Wish the symptoms were reassuring but as I've said before, I had full blown symptoms last time too!

Gruffalo - sorry to hear about your headache and eye mask

LOL at all the medals being awarded!

My friends from York are down at the moment staying with her parents. I met up with them for a hot chocolate earlier. Not sure if I mentioned but he is a quadraplegic and wheelchair bound. When we were out this complete stranger went up to him and said "Ooh - saw you there and wondered why you're not in Bejing!" He somehow managed to keep a civil tongue but we were all very Not as if anyone came up to me a month ago and asked why I wasn't in Bejing!

Cal - hope the mattress lugging went well. I love sleeping on a nice new mattress!

NJ - not had a look at the links for your stuff but the Barn themed ones sound really cute.

Finally.....

CONGRATS to 2BG and Emma

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 20:54

Bye Diege

Hope it goes ok tomorrow!

I burst my eye mask - damn it

Diege · 11/09/2008 20:29

Have a good night tomorrow, and speak tomorrow night!

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 20:15

calsworld · 11/09/2008 18:35

Evening all, DS has been quite poorly today so haven't been able to get on.

Excitingly I've had my mattress and topper delivered today so can't wait for DH to get home so we can lug it upstairs and get it made . ALthough I am slightly nervous that my sheets won't fit as the mattress is a lot thicker than the old one and we've bought a topper as well it will fit godammit

Had to go out and get DS some more milk and calpol this afternoon and while in Sainsbury's he spotted the INTG (In the Night Garden for the uninitiated ) soft toys. Now, he's already got an Iggle Piggle that he's addicted too, but they had a 'makka pakka' which I've never seen anywhere as they're always sold out, and an Upsy Daisy. He got sooooo excited and I felt guilty that I never treat him to anything (except a teletubbies helium ballon in July ) so bought them both for him.

He's been sooooo cute with them, cuddling them all and kissing them etc, picking them up and putting them down. Bless him , he's a very lovely little boy!

GruffaloSoldier · 11/09/2008 18:20

Hello everyone

Have had a splitting headache all day

Oh well, day off tomorrow

NJ I def think barnyard - colours are much better for a baby to be looking at. I have read that it is really good to have bright colours in a baby's room.

I am very healthy eat every veg going and have huge bowl of fruit a day and LOVE dried mango to snack on in the day. Since nausea has come am finding it much harder to at so have had some 'unhealthy' slip ups.

My main problem is drinking at the moment I really have to make myself. Although Im loving pink grapefruit juice at the mo.

Never have any caffeine, it gives me migraines anyway.

DH isnt here tonight so Im on my lonesome

Plus I have to cook my own dinner

lardybump · 11/09/2008 18:16

night NJ have a nice soak....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 11/09/2008 18:10

Right DH is home, so I am off, might wangle a nice soak in the bath later, my hips are getting worse and worse and it is only in the bath they don't ache.

Anyway, have a nice evening, g'night everyone xxx

lardybump · 11/09/2008 18:00

Same as you Nat. DD will eat everything that is put in front of her. She loves fruit and veg and when we are out and I ask what she wants to eat she says blueberrys... Today she has eaten my famous veg chilli (although I took hers out before adding the chilli) which has 9 differnt veg in it...

We do always stop for drink and cake on shopping days but she is more interested in her drink to be honest. I dont mind her having the odd naughty thing because she eats so well..
