Tink great news re bean but sorry you still have to wait to find out about the sex....

Hi to everyone else. Who ever was talking about EWCM dont forget you could try egg whites?!? {grin}

GYo · 29/08/2008 16:53

Tink- your shopping sounds lovely. Must be frustrating not knowing the sex though!

Are you having to pay for the 3d scan yourself?

My 12wk scan is a week today

calsworld · 29/08/2008 15:05

DH has come home and the doctor has been too. He didn't do anything but as DH pointed out, I'm not crying any more.

Thanks guys.

See you later. x

Dalrymps · 29/08/2008 13:30

Tink - gad all is ok, sorry you didn't find out but you will soon enough! Enjoy the shopping.

Cal - You might be along physically but we're all here. Is there anything you can do that usually makes you feel happy? For me it would be watching old re-runs of friends, maybe you could do something like that and just sit and cry a while? Oh I don't know, i'm crap at suggestions. Wish I lived closer i'd just come round, unfortunatley i'm up in Berwick upon tweed.

Keep talking, you don't have to talk about what has happened but I think if you keep chatting to us you'll feel less alone iyswim?

Milk and one sugar for me btw.

lastboxoftampons · 29/08/2008 12:31

Oh, tink, we crossed posts. Can't believe that little one!!! Mischievious little boy? Or sassy little girl?

Cal I'm here. I'm so sorry. The best I can tell you is to just let it out. It doesn't matter if you're hysterical - there's no one there to see you. If it makes you feel better then do it.

GYo · 29/08/2008 12:30

I really should check spelling before hitting post. I hope you get the idea though...

OP posts:
GYo · 29/08/2008 12:29

Dont be too harsh on yourself... I think its better to let it all out that sit and bottle it up...

Its only be 2 days - you dont need to pull yourself together yet.

Why not make mental agreement with yourself to take today as crying and letting it out day, before your w/e away?

Im no expert, but I experiecned a similar "howling" grief about 3 years ago - for a different reason- but the one thing that killed me was being alone but when i was I was able to howl and let it all out. Felt like a fool, even alone but I got so used to it that I put on music that made me cry more... I'd be doing stuff around the house whilst bawling my eyes out... Ultimately it helped me...

Sometimes it just has to come out....

OP posts:
calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:25

i can't get hold of him

calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:24

someone please talk to me

GYo · 29/08/2008 12:22

Oh Cal- can your DH come home... i'd say this was as much of an emergency as it will ever be.....

OP posts:
calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:19

i don't want to be on my own i can't stop crying

Cosmogirl · 29/08/2008 12:17

Hi all,

Thanks Ses - looking forward to being able to post a bit more soon. Still struggling but have only dry heaved once so far today and have managed a few small snacks, so not doing too bad. Amazing how much the nausea drains you.

Tink - sorry you didn't find out the sex, but nice to know you have an active LO

Cals - I am not a million miles away from you. Also in Midlands, near Notts.

GYo · 29/08/2008 12:06

Better get a wagon tea pot then Cal!

We could get an extra large one with a nice cosy to go over it.... (ok Im slightly mad)

Tink- I cant believe that after all the antipation you have to wait longer! Glad you got to see the baby on the screen though. :-)

calsworld · 29/08/2008 12:00

BTW LBOT, you do know you can get it next day from accessdiagnostics.co.uk don't you? (with a 5% discount) it would mean giving it everything you can and day after ov is sometimes not too late.

calsworld · 29/08/2008 11:55

LBOT, just make sure you have lots and lots of foreplay so your body makes as much as it can, and drink lots of water and stay really hydrated - might help, won't hurt!

Tink, so sorry you didn't get to find out, hope you're not too disappointed - little minx your mini-tink.

Think I need a cup of tea.

lastboxoftampons · 29/08/2008 11:42

MMmmm Brownies! Sounds lovely!

Thanks about the EWCM. We've tried preseed in the past, but unfortunately didn't have any luck. Would definitely be up for it this month, but won't be able to get a hold of it on time. There's now a similar one available over the counter in the US, but I don't think you can get it here Oh, well, thanks guys!

tinkhasanacrobatic · 29/08/2008 11:41

Mmmm brownies. I baked a lot of brownies when I was on maternity leave with DS...it kept me going through breastfeeding! Fresh baked out of the oven, can't beat them.

Coffee not my thing - def a tea girl

GYo · 29/08/2008 11:20

Hi LBOT

Not sure im a good example re EWCM - think I had a reasonable amount when I conceived.... but EWCM has always been my indicator of ovulation, even before I was TTC. Sorry I cant help more...

Yay to fixing it Cal! Hmm derby is miles away from me... probably about 150

Virtual coffee it is... will make a fresh batch of brownies. Who else is joining?

OP posts:
calsworld · 29/08/2008 11:14

I've fixed it! Yay.

I'm in the midlands, in derby. It would be wonderful if anyone was nearby but I've a feeling you're all miles away.

LBOT, I don't have much ewcm and I used pre-seed the month I got pregnant. I appreciate I'm probably not the best example at the moment but think it helped...

lastboxoftampons · 29/08/2008 11:04

Cals I agree with GYo - I know I felt better when some people knew, as I felt it was really difficult to carry on as if everything was just fine when in reality it wasn't. In hindsight, it would've been so much nicer to tell people when we had happy news to share instead of sad, but it did help to get it out in the open.

Diege Is your DH away this weekend? I thought it was last weekend. I agree a email attachment would be brilliant!

For those of you who are/have gotten pregnant - have any of you done so without much EWCM to speak of? The month we were successful, I had tons, but haven't had much since, except for last month when I was away I was hoping I had turned an EWCM corner, but so far, it doesn't look like it and I had a +OPK last night. Fingers crossed!

GYo · 29/08/2008 10:51

Hi Cals

Glad you are able to poach your neighboughs line to get online..and PLEASE dont be sorry. We are all here to help, or at least try to

Sounds like a tough situation with the in-laws... maybe its better that they do know least then they can be sensitive to you, especially if you want a glass of wine... I think what ever you do this weekend will be difficult so maybe its good to have a change of scene for you and DH/DS...

Not sure where abouts you are in the country but it would be good if some or any of us where nearby.

Maybe we need a virtual coffee morning with homemade brownies... Mine are well known for being far to rich and gooey... Will fax some over...

Keep talking if you can stay online. Im always lurking at the moment. x

Dalrymps · 29/08/2008 10:41

Have fun at the scan Tink! Sorry, forgot to say before. Can't wait to find out! I vote boy

Cal - I'm guessing you're feeling quite down about it all today but you're articulating your feelings very well, I think you're doing really well to talk about how you feel. I'm sure it'll help over time... I think you should just do what you want to do and bugger anyone else!

Keep talking, we're all always here to listen, just wish there was something I could do to help in some way .

If there's anything you can think of, just say
