afternoon all. I hate saturdays. Here I am working hard while dd and dp (well p at the moment the d bit went out the window) are out at a party and BBQ.... I hate working so much! I want a life for pitys sake....

Painful is the wrong word so far, just uncomfortable, uncomfortable I can do.

We have so much to get done today, and I can't do any of it until DH gets home, so we are all sat around waiting for him to roll up and then it will be go go go!

GYO, no wine I'm afraid - have had to prioritise milk! Also, my body seems to be playing tricks as EWM has disappeared and I have that thickish stuff instead . Hold on in their cervix till Tuesday please!! We could still be on for this month!!!

I have rang labour ward, MW is happy for me to wait it out without having to go in. She said if the contractions get any stronger or closer together (currently running at around every 20 minutes) then I have to go in straight away. Told me to rest (yeah right, still to do today is a trip to town, trip to see MIL, trip to Ikea, plus all the usual dinner, baths, etc....) I have my normal AN appointment on Tuesday so am preparing myself for an argument with the MW, she'll have me cartered off down the consultants quicker than it takes me to say "No, I'm not going there" but if I shout loud enough I might just get away with it!

I think the baby is getting hiccups, which is probably why the IU has started again. It all feels so different this time because I hardly ever feel him moving, just get a feeling every now and then that there is something doing a sharp movement in a nice steady rhythm, so am guessing it's hiccs. DS2 had them almost constantly while I was pregnant with him, so it makes sense.

But the pressure..... I stood up at one point last night and felt like all of my internal organs were about to drop out! LOL I didn't have so much pressure last time until the very end.

I am laughing now but am really not looking forward to 18+ weeks of this! At least so far the contractions aren't very painful, so it didn't affect my sleep last night, it was the lack of sleep last time that nearly tipped me over the edge, so fingers crossed that won't start for at least a little while yet.

Hi everyone else I am 22 weeks today T'is flying by, though have had some pretty strong regular contractions over the last day or so and have got sooooo much pressure in my bum (those that have done the labour thing, not as intense as second stage, but certainly enough to make me wonder whats going on). Am going to ask the MN'ers if I should get it checked out or just put up and shut up. 18+ weeks left to go, not sure I can cope with getting stressed about IU this early on!

SES that is the most amazing news!!! I've just caught up with yesterday's excitement, and am so pleased for you!!! How will you contain yourself at work!!
Well dh just left with dds 1&2, so just me and dd3 until my mum arrives. Place is a tip and fridge also gave up the ghost last night so we are living out of a cool bag with ice packs!! No chance for GOF this monring - sod's law as EWM has just arrived - oh well, here's to next month, and that some of SES's luck rubs off!

Ses - congrats!!!! Fab news. FR are very good tests so I'm sure it is reliable. Well done you! Would never be up so early on a Sat but preg and sickness does that to you.....

Sorry for my one way conversation but I guess I'll be at work soon...

Just showed DH the test from last night and the test from this morning. (Bear in mind DH is big wind up merchant and all of the conversation following was said tongue in cheek....) I just asked him how many lines he could see on each of them and he said 2 for both. Then he said "What does that mean?" so I said "pregnant". He said "Oh, so you've woken me up to tell me something I already knew!" I told him he hadn't told me he already knew and he said I just don't listen to him! I told him it was still v early days and he said "just act normal then and don't get too excited!" I'll wait and see ho excited he is by the time I get back from work...

Doubt whether anyone else is up this early on a Saturday morning but some of us have to test and have to go to work!
Did the FR test and have a definite pink line though still v faint. Am going to buy a CBD to get an absolute answer. (Yes I know I may have to wait a couple more days as it's not as sensitive, so I may just splash out and buy a twin pack!)
Will show DH in a minute before I head off to work!
Still feeling a bit surreal and strangely worrying.

It's a First Response. I think they are well known for being accurate with early testing and no evap lines but not sure why... Will give it a go in the morning and see.
