I've just got a bit used to it and have friends and my parents in Redhill so don't really think we'll ever move that far from it. I like the balance the area has between being accessible to M25, Gatwick, London etc but also havine some really nice country side in the Surrey Hills. Good for walking our dogs!

GYo · 01/09/2008 21:06

Yeah I know the area- probably vaguely. Went to college at Reigate College.

Love that part of surrey- we looked at all of surrey from Godstone all the way across to guildford when we moved.... would have been happy to find somewhere in that area

Yup! Just 10 mins away. I think I'll always still call it Redhill as it'll be strange living out of Redhill as I've lived here since I was 2 (except uni). It's just north of Redhill on the borders of Chipstead at the top of the M23 if you know vaguely where that is??!

GYo · 01/09/2008 20:57

Thats bizarre about the house but its sounds like the house is meant to be if you are so im sure this pregnancy is too....

Are you moving far? Still in Surrey?

OP posts:
SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 20:53

oops! He's doing well!

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 20:53

He's oding well. He's trying to carry on as normal as he knows otherwise I'll turn into an overexcited telling everyone paranoid pita! He has been a bit more attentive though and checking I'm ok. This time last time (IYKWIM) we were talking about names, mat leave, finances etc. This time no mention yet.
Also, really wierd... You know how we've just sold our house, well back in April we were meant to be moving too, to the same house we're buying this time (it's just gooorgeous!). Well on the day of exchange, our buyers pulled out and the whole thing fell apart. 2 days after that was my scan where we found out about the mmc. I'm not saying the 2 were related as they weren't as they think the baby had died at about 6 weeks. I just think it's one of life's funny coincidences that it all fell apart with the house and the pregnancy and now it's all back on at the same time! (I did ask DH to get a removal quote including packing this time!) All being well, we should move around the end of Sept!

GYo · 01/09/2008 20:46

Wish there was a magic pill to take away worry....

How is your DH feeling about it?

PS, talking of rear ends following gruff's wind... I manaaged to start a thread called... Craps at 12wks early - meant to read cramps.... however its better now so maybe the mistake was more valid than I thought....

Hot choc is good, its some stuff I got from a choc shop in brighton. Is proper chocolate all flaked up, melted into the milk... though it will prob make me feel sick!

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 01/09/2008 20:44

yeah hot choc sounds good - especially if with marshmallows!

DH is just cooking up a storm in the kitchen with a prawn and mango curry. Not sure if im gona be able to eat it though it used to be my favourite!

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 20:44

Waiting and worrying me thinks!
Marshmallows on way.... Wish I had some whipped cream to put on top too but I refuse to buy it no matter how tempting!

GYo · 01/09/2008 20:43

how did I manage to post that 3 times!

OP posts:
GYo · 01/09/2008 20:42

OOoh yes, please throw over marshmallows....

I will send over the hot chocolate as soon as its ready!

Hmm re time going... If I look back and think about getting my BFP seems like yesterday but it has gone slow, but the first 6wks were definately slower than last 4 or so...

Pregnancy just seems to be a huge waiting game...

GYo - I'm excited for you too! Has the time to get to 12 weeks really dragged though cos these first few days are taking forever!

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 20:36

Oooh! Yes please! Do you have nay marshmallows too? If not I'll chuck a few over!

GYo · 01/09/2008 20:34

GruffaloSoldier · 01/09/2008 20:16

Ha ha Gyo sorry I'll try pointing my derriere (sp?) in the fleet direction

No wonder I feel sick

Really exciting about your scan on Friday GYo - remember to post a piccy!

GYo · 01/09/2008 20:10

Sorry to hear you are windy gruff but you have made me laugh!

.... had wondered why my back door keeps banging in wind though...

GruffaloSoldier · 01/09/2008 20:03

Evening all

I am a very stinky Gruffalo indeed tonight. My farts are so bad that even the cat told me off! (she makes her feelings very clear...she doesn't like whistling or people talking to loud...or continuous smelly farts when shes trying to sleep on your lap! )

Diege - re your earlier post about my early scan- I get an early scan as I came off the prog. only pill after having no periods for a couple of year due to the pill I then got my BFP 8 weeks later therefore they need to confirm how pregnant I am as the traditional method isn't possible! Good for me though as I get an early scan!

LB - I am so sorry to hear of your situation, it must be a very worrying time for you and I can only echo what everyone has said and that we are all here if you need us.

Tink - glad the party went well.

Glask - glad you are feeling better and doc sorted you out. play equipment sounds good too!

Sorry to anyone I have forgotten - I am rubbish!

I still feel sick, I know it could be alot worse but when its bad I just grind to a halt. Poor DH is doing everything! (actually thats nothing new!

Diege · 01/09/2008 20:00

It's just how I would feel but I can see more negatives than positives. Not long till your first scan then really - v.exciting

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 19:40

I think you're right Diege.... I think I just worry that lst time I had no idea what was going on until I got to 12 weeks. (Again) you're right - the EPU said to phone and get an early scan at about 7 weeks so that will hopefully reassure me. Will use the new CBD this week sometime...
Thanks for the lecture, I think it was needed!

Diege · 01/09/2008 19:19

ooh SES, totally up to you but I would do the CBD now to 'get it out of the way'. I can't see how they can be that accurate for dating putposes, as there's a huge variety in HCG levels for different women. And then what would you do if it said less pregnant that you thought?? (not saying that it would of course, but will you be getting an early scan at about 8 weeks anyway??). Can you imagine the anxiety probably for no reason???OK, lecture over

Diege · 01/09/2008 19:16

Evening Lardy, so sorry things are so bad at home. I sort of got the impression that things weren't great from your last few posts . As others have said, we talk about everything on here, so don't feel you have to keep it in if you don't have any other outlet. Lots of hugs, and remember we are here for you xx
Agree, SES and GYO, mumsnet is a real lifeline - I for one would be lost without it, and don't remember how I spent my time before I discovered it (via the For Sales board if I remember!)A bit like not remembering what you did with your time pre-children .
GLASK,your tea sounds yummy!Playhouse and see-saw sounds farily reasonable (don't have a clue about pricing I should say) esp if includes p&p. I'm sure DCs would love it
Having some quorn thingy myself, as mum has left now and dh not due back till Tues pm. Feels v.odd, but strangely nice .
Speak tomorrow from work, night everyone! xxx

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 18:27

Diege - you're right I do have one of the new CBD tests. I'm thinking I may save it for about 2 weeks time to check all is on track ok and my hcg levels aren't going down.
Am I silly to think like that? Don't know...

Have a good evening everyone!

SesHasapinkline · 01/09/2008 17:42

Sounds good Glask! I've not decided what we're having yet.... DH just phoned to say he won't be home til about 7.30pm.
Enjoy!
