just seen on the miscarriage board that monkeybumsmum is going through a mmc at the moment, from experience I'm sure she'd appreciate some support over here

Thanks guys. x

Dalrymps · 03/09/2008 10:20

Oh right I see, thanks ladies

I don't think I am but as I've been thinking about it over the last week or so I've kind of got in to the mindset of hoping I am and now I find myself wishing my AF is not going to arrive cause I think i'm going to be dissapointed when it does .

It's going to be so hard waiting till Jan!

My temp dipped a bit today so probably get AF soon . I'm not that good at taking my temp at the same time each day as it depends if I wake up with dh's alarm or when ds wakes. Got lots of white dots on my chart, it still detected ov though?!

I'll try and link to it if anyone wants a look here

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/09/2008 10:03

LOL Cal, c'mon woman, get wit' it, you gotta be down in da hood to swing it in here girl LOL

Yes, BB, love it or hate, only 3 days to go Then I can switch my attentions back to DH

calsworld · 03/09/2008 10:03

Oooh, sorry Dal, not ignoring you, x-posted! I don't know the answer I'm afraid...but...I'd say the longer you leave it to test, the better it is as the result is more reliable. Also, by leaving it till a week after AF, you reduce the risk of picking up a positive for a chemical pregnancy that doesn't last.

What goes against this is the marketing by all the POAS manufacturers that keep developing these 'early' tests which don't really do us any favours - it just perpetuates impatience and disappointment.

Hmmm Didn't think I had such a strong anti-opinion but there we go!

I still use them all, btw, the early tests...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/09/2008 10:01

I am taking a stab in the dark here, but I think if your temps stay high for 18 days after OV, then you are considered pregnant by FF and told to test to confirm. Obviously if your period did show up before those 18 days then you're not pregnant so don't need to test.

There was a time we all waited for a week after period due to test, and I am sure a lot of people who haven't been taken over by MN would still wait a week. It seems you only get addicted to testing once you've found MN!

calsworld · 03/09/2008 09:58

Glad my poo has brought so many 's to the wagon this morning!!

Tink - hope your DD was OK going to nursery this morning, I bet she loves it!

I feel wicked when I tell people that DS is in nursery when I'm at home, but he really does have sooo much more fun there. He laughs and giggles all day and has good friendships at nursery. He also has free access to loads of toys and messy play that I simply would never do at home!

Lol NJ - took me a while but guess that's BB you're talking about, not eastenders?

Dalrymps · 03/09/2008 09:57

Hi again,

Another question for those who know about temping.

Why does it say on the calender that my 'test day' should be aweek after my AF is due? I thought you tested around the time it was due or a few days after? I apparently ovulated on CD17, is it to do with that?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/09/2008 09:39

What a waffle, sorry

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/09/2008 09:38

Good morning

Phew, first morning back all done and sorted, where's that etch-a-sketch gone?

Tink hope DD went in well, and that you let her go in well! Still remember DS1's first morning at nursery, I'd not had more than a couple of hours away from him in his whole life, he skipped in, I ran home (after giving instructions to the nusery teachers to ring me is he cried - ever!) and bawled my eyes out LOL Still remember ringing DH wailing "he doesn't love me, he didn't even turn round to see me go" LOL PFB??? All the way! LOL Poor old DS2, when it's his turn, he'll be dumped and I'll be off!

And talking of DS2, he walked all the way No double buggy for me

Cal glad things are coming to an end, I haven't texted (text?? texted? texted sounds wrong, but it's right isn't it? not sure now...), thought you might want some space, but if you ever want to chat, you know where I am, what ever time OK?

And GREEDY MO is no more How great was that?!! And Kat I am glad she has gone, she had a big thing with Darnell because he joked he would vote her out, didn't give a shit that Mo had said the same but half seriously, and then cried her heart out when Mo went.... Synical? Me? Yep!

GYo · 03/09/2008 09:10

ooh enjoy your meal out Ses.

Morning Dal (sorry x-post!)

You never know, you may get a suprise this month...

SesHasapinkline · 03/09/2008 09:00

Sorry GYo - no porridge here - just off to work (having been MNing checking emails at home so far this morning)
Won't be around much later as going out after work for a meal with some old work colleagues. Thank goodness I'll have the excuse of a long drive home for not drinking

I think I'm starting to believe it but doesn't stop me worrying about what might go wrong again. I think I'll fully accept it once I've had a scan and heard a heartbeat.

Dalrymps · 03/09/2008 08:58

Morning ladies!

Ses, glad the test reconfirmed what you knew . I've got one of those too, I'm hoping my AF will be late just so I can use it. It's due today at the latest so here's hoping (as you know we haven't really been trying this month but there's still a tiiiiny chance)

Cal at your poo, that reminds me of being up in the nigt once and thinking there was something really wrong with me as I had terrible stomach pains but then I had the shits lol

Tink - Hope dd's 1st day goes well

Hi to everyone else, off to fill in my temp on ff . Back later.

GYo · 03/09/2008 08:55

Morning cal, tink, ses

quick hi and catch up

Yey for another BFP Ses! Hope you will believe it now! That test things sounds very cool!

Cal- glad you are feeling ok and also have another week and half before going back to work.
Tink- good luck for DD at nursery.

Hi everyone else-

No porridge here today so if anyone is making some..... please send over!

SesHasapinkline · 03/09/2008 08:46

tinkhashadherfirstkick · 03/09/2008 08:40

morning

we are off to take dd for her 1st day @ nursery

ye ses for test

cal ye 4 poo

SesHasapinkline · 03/09/2008 08:14

Morning Cal! Sorry you woke in pain but glad the poo has eased things!
Glad the physical side of things is settling down. Glad we've helped but don't worry about the emotional rollercoaster. It's perfectly alright to post on here that you're fine and then change your mind and have a good cry or rant!
As for going back to work, I remember tht looming over me but tbh after the first day back and seeing people for the first time (which was tough), it then helped me to focus on the rest of life a little more. I think what I found most difficult was everyone else carrying on as if nothing had happened when my world felt like it had fallen apart.
I think you're doing really well though and it's right to be taking it a day at a time.

calsworld · 03/09/2008 08:06

Hi, was about to post this....

"Morning all, have woken in lots of pain today...could it be an infection or something? Its going from the right hand side of my tummy right down to my fanjo. Its only just started but its very very sore."

But have been for a poo and now all is much better .

Think things are coming to an end now (physically) which is helpful as I feel quite good emotionally. I think the big meltdown on Friday has really helped get over things, I know things will come back at different times but I feel like I'm doing pretty good. Not sure I'll feel like this when I have to go back to work of course.

Teuch, thanks for your kind words - to be honest, Diege, Ses and NJ have been a massive inspiration and source of support, I kind of feel "If they can do this, so can I" and that's really helped to keep things in perspective for me.

Lardy, so sorry to read your news, if there's anything anyone can do, please let us know and do keep posting as we do care. I feel like I've been here long enough to get away with completely flouting the wagon rules by administering a big fat

Ses - the test sounds clever but I too can imagine lots of confusion. It would be useful for midwifes if it measured 8 - 12 weeks wouldn't it!

Tink, it must be lovely to feel your little acrobat kicking well.

Hi Firesam, Hi Clairey

SesHasapinkline · 03/09/2008 06:27

Morning! Another early one for me - woke up at 5am!
Just done the new posh CB digital thingy.....

Tells me I am pg (phew!) and it reckons I'm 4-5 weeks.

It was v easy to use - just like an ordinary test. In about 90 secs it told me I was pg and then had to wait about another 2-3 mins to find our how many weeks. What I find a bit strange is that it tells you how many weeks since conception instead of how many weeks pg you are. There's then a table on the box and leaflet to refer to so as to convert that into what it calls "how your doctor will date your pregnancy based on a 28 day cycle".
So my test actually says 2-3, but that is weeks since conception and translates to 4-5 weeks pg!
The various timescales you can have are:
not pregnant
pregnant 1-2 weeks (3-4 weeks pg)
pregnant 2-3 weeks (4-5 weeks pg)
pregnant 3+ weeks (5+ weeks pg)

It claims to be 92% accurate in dating conception.

For me it was fine and seems to tie in as I think I was 4 weeks yesterday. I can imagine though that it may be confusing for many women. The conversion to no. of weeks pg is only accurate for those with a 28 day cycle or close and th 8 in 100 people who it isn't accurate for, well it may panic them.

As someone who panics easily, I think on balance I don't want this particular advance in technolgy!

Review over!!

Diege · 02/09/2008 22:46

Hello! Had a hectic evening with everyone arriving back from hols, and then frantically ironing names on to uniforms!
Fitted in a quick gof though (thanks for the words of encouragement ladies though not holding out much hope for this month). Off to bed now, and still haven't had more than a skim through posts. Good for you NAT on holding your ground, and great that you avoided consultant! HI LARDY - be strong, you'll get through this I promise, and at least you have confronted things and are dealing with them directly.
SES, step AWAY from the HPTs!!!!!
TEUCH, really great to hear from you, and trust me everything is very much uncrossed . Thanks for your comments too ; feeling much better, though felt a bit strange going back to work today and planning the new term when I thought I woulod only be there for half of it.
Hello to everyone else!
Right, bed for me!

SesHasapinkline · 02/09/2008 18:08
