Diege · 05/09/2008 12:51

Glad you have good relaxing afternoon planned CALS . Face pack sound slovely, as do your plans for pamering next week .
LOL at phome Nat - I'm exactly the same re: usage, though admit I'll happily pick up a £30 cheapie at supermarket as I never get the damn thing out!
It's STILL raining here, so have got my super bright wellies out of garage, and will team with my super bright Boden raincoat - ok so I'll look like a children's presented but I'll be dry!
DD on the other hand will have to slum it in wellies and brolly as I can't for the life of me find her raincover - arghhh!!!!
Looking forward to hearing about scan GYO ; hi Dal!! Are you non-stinkified yet??

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/09/2008 12:34

Am following Dal's example and sending myself off to the kitchen for something to eat, then running myself a big bath to wallow in whilst testing out a new face mask I ordered in from body shop a couple of weeks ago . Not quite the same as a spa break but about right for now I think.

I'm having a bit of a zit break out at the moment, which is very unlike me, which I guess is a combination of my unclean tramp like couch potato status, and hormones settling down. The bleeding seems to have finally stopped which is nice, kind of feel like I can really close a door today - by making nice plans for this weekend, next week and even next weekend.

And whilst trying not to get emotional (due to starvation) can I just say, one more (and last) time, a really, really, really big thanks to all of you for listening, supporting and helping me to see past my experiences of last week. I know its difficult 'posting around' someone who's a bit down, so appreciate your honesty and support. Thank you for not ignoring me...

Right, food. Bath. GET DRESSED!

GYo · 05/09/2008 11:25

ooh sorry Cal- thought you were still in bed

will make double porridge next time..

you were right Diege- rain stopped here and its a bit brighter....

Dalrymps · 05/09/2008 10:58

I'm off to get my stinky self in to the bath before I become one with the sofa and the neighbours think I only ever wear my dresing gown . Back when i'm clean!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/09/2008 10:43

Ahem, less of the old if you don't mind!

I am actually going into hiding for a while now, I have a date with my mother on the phone, think I'd rather talk to TalkTalk LOL

See you in a bit xxx

calsworld · 05/09/2008 10:41

Teuch - am feeling it , if a lot little lazy too

Think the real test will be going back to work but doc said not to go back till I was going out of my mind with boredom and wanted to go back to work - so clearly he's never heard of MN!

calsworld · 05/09/2008 10:39

NJ you're an old meany!

I don't think there is a right way for you to feel today, although I should think there's plenty of expectation of how you should feel, which I guess is confusing, particularly if you don't feel it. I'd like to think that I'll be pg by the time the edd comes round and be able to take comfort from it like Teuch says - I hope you can too.

I realised on Weds evening that I was booked for the 12 week scan in the afternoon - I mentioned it to DH and he said "oh", and that's how I felt - not enough to make me cry and I hope that's a good sign of acceptance and willingness to move on (rather than a complete lack of compassion for myself IYKWIM?)

Dal - lol at your 'oops' for eating chocolate ....I haven't had anything to eat yet as don't really fancy anything, but chocolate....mmmmmmmmm Might have to go and raid the cupboards and see what's lurking. I think your plans for waiting sound good, in as much as they suit you - clearly would be over the moon for you if you got a BFP though! And expect lots of pushing tempting comments from NJ to get you back off the wagon over the coming months!

GYo, you could have made me a bowl of porridge - I just can't be arsed this morning! Maybe I'll have some in a minute...with chocolate!

Teuch, good to hear from you, I've missed you

Dalrymps · 05/09/2008 10:37
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/09/2008 10:34

It's no good is it? You are all conspiring against me....

Thanks Teuch, as ever you speak sense! It is confusing, but do-able, I thought it would be like going back to the weeks following the MC emotionally, but I am strangely(?) settled.

Dalrymps · 05/09/2008 10:34

Oh god, I HATE the DFS advert too, it soooo embarassing!

I'm adding my AF, ok a little selfish but I feel necassary.

Teuch · 05/09/2008 10:34
Teuch · 05/09/2008 10:32

Oh, and after all that rambling...

SES - I would definitely recommend the early scan route.

Dal -sorry about period (sorry, can't do 'AF'!) . You sound like you have your head screwed on re TTC but we will do our best to bully you anyway

Cal - you're sounding a bit brighter. I hope you are feeling it.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/09/2008 10:30

Shusshhhhh we're hiding!!

Teuch · 05/09/2008 10:30

Hullo all! I have many things to add to the 101 list but I will not fill the thread with 'em

NJ - I was like you when it came to my 'due' date...pregnant and kinda confused. My SIL was also due 2 days after me and had gone into labour and I was raging that she was going to 'steal' my due date and forever brand it in my memory (she didn't, btw, baby was born after midnight...

Anyway, I felt like it was a real marker for moving on and allowing myself to feel excited and look forward to this baby without feeling guilty or like the lost baby had been simply expendable. Hard to articulate but I hope you know what I mean.

I was definitely comforted by the fact that I was pregnant at the time.

I actually (not sure I should admit this) played 'Time to say goodbye' at full blast and cried happy/sad tears all the way to work and back . The older ones amongst us may remember a certain couple on That's Life doing ballet to this song...

The last couple of years, I think about it but I always think that if that baby had made it I wouldn't have my DS.

Dalrymps · 05/09/2008 10:29

Oh, forgot to say...

Ses - sorry to hear you have been worried. I think the others have given you the best advice. I hope that as more time goes by and you get a scan you will feel more reassured and will be able to enjoy this time more.

I haven't been in your situation but I can't imagine just how worrying it must be. I was incredibly worried when pg with ds, especially for the 1st 12 weeks, I was checking my knickers every time I went for a wee! As the others have said, absolutely normal to feel as you do.

Oops, I just ate a dairy milk caramel and a piece of chocoalte cornflake crisp. I think it's allowed as i'm suffering stomach cramps with af. Will have to get to that gym before the damage is beyond repair!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/09/2008 10:28
calsworld · 05/09/2008 10:26

Morning all - see, I laze around on other threads expecting this one to be quiet and find you've all been chatting away merrily...

Diege, DH has just instant messaged me from home to ask what I'm doing and have had to confess to yet more MN in my pj's. However, I have texted the mum of one of DS' friends to arrange some time together out of nursery for them, probably next weekend now, and have booked a hair appt. and eyebrow shaping (phew) on Monday afternoon.

Diege · 05/09/2008 10:23

LOL SES, spot on! . Agree Nat, song is great though I will always associate with advert now (how could they have let dfs use it? . I think we should add the Picture Loans advert too (the one with the annoying bloke spontaneously deciding 25 grand would be a good amount, and the hair-ruffling head shaking wife).
STILL not dressed - what is it about rainy mornings and lethargy?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/09/2008 10:13

But it's such a cool song, so only the advert gets in OK?!

SesHasapinkline · 05/09/2008 10:13

Ok, so we have:

Ses's hpts
double buggies
DFS advert
Safestyle door to door
TalkTalk cold calling

What else??!

Not like our usual list??!

SesHasapinkline · 05/09/2008 10:10

Morning!

LOL at Room 101 with Nat's Xmas list and my hpts!! I haven't done one since Wednesday.... I guess we might let Nat off but DFS advert - oh yes!
