Hi Nat! A few words of caution about pet mice - they are quite difficult to handle for children as they're really wriggly. We settled on a hamster that sadly met her demise after escaping under tiles in downstairs loo, and coming up again at night. Found her dead on the floor with our cat licking his lips and a hamster's tooth stuck in him fur . Just a warning, but your cat will make it her life's work to get 'em! I'd say as long as you get a traditional cage with bars rather than the plastic tube ones you'll be fine
TINKS, profiteroles are fine. Not sure what ingredient you were concerned about? Enjoy!
Bad luck on af BABYMAD - agree with what Nat says about lumps - sounds cyclical to me .
Well have got EWM again and boobs killing . Have a feeling I didn't ovulate this month after all, and that af might come early! Hope so then we can have a decent go at it next month!!

babymadness · 07/09/2008 12:02

tinkhasanactivebean · 07/09/2008 11:04

Good Morning

Have read through but forgotten most of it

LB, good to have you back sweetie, hope things are worked out over time, can't imagine how stressful it has all been for you. Make sure you look after yourself in between everything else.

Cosmo, great news on the scan Any pics?

GYo congrats on the scan! Those pics are really clear, even I can work it out and I am absolutely useless at scan pics!! On the maternity clothes front, I can thouroughly recommend Debenhams Red Herring maternity jeans, the ones that go over the bump, I have two pairs and live in them, so so so comfy! And they are only £30 a pair, bargain I reckon!

Diege sorry for period pain, you may not come on early though, I had pretty bad period pain for a good week before it started (where I don't normally get any pain, or very little on the day it starts) after my MC.

Babymadness, not sure about these lumps, though I think if they are in both breasts there is very little chance of it being anything sinister, much more likely to be hormonal, when I was 12 weeks pregnant with DS1 I found a lump, I had a biopsy and it was just a fatty lump, although the doctors said it wasn't because I was pregnant, it was because of the hormones going wild. Get it checked out just to be on the safe side, but try not to worry too much

Cal, DS2 is into anything with wheels at the moment: Thomas the Tank Engine, Postman Pat, Bob the Builder, Brum, just good old fashioned cars, also books, he loves sitting with someone while they go through the pages with him And colouring with crayons (best I've found that don't crumble everywhere is ELC one's, think they were about £3 for 40 or so.) We bought him one of these a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't been left alone since! And also www.elc.co.uk/toy/musical-footsteps/this makes a great 'road'

Is that everything? I need a cuppa! Long shot but does anyone know anything about pet mice? DS1 has decided he wants a couple of xmas... if he is still saying it in December then I will get him some because I know he will look after them, but I know nothing about them. Are we asking for trouble with the cat? Visions of Tom and Jerry spring to mind....

tinkhasanactivebean · 07/09/2008 10:11

morning diege sorry for cramps.
it is so dark here
we have a voucher for pizza hut so going to go there for lunch

Diege · 07/09/2008 09:23

Monring! Day sounds good TINKS . Great news on scan COSMO - great to have your dates right too!
Woke up woth crippling period pain this morning, so thinking af might be early (not due till next weekend). Have accepted that my body will need a while to get back into its usual pattern, so not too worried.
Hope the rain is staying off for people (only just here).
Oh and can you believe that young pretender is threatening my Rafa in the US Open . I have no doubt Nadal will overpower him eventually, but the cheek of the kid..

Just a quickie to say scan went very well. Saw ONE baby wiggling about. Strong heartbeart. Two arms two legs. Least I know who is making me so poorly now!

Would highly recommend a private scan for reassurance.
Oh and the sonographer was very impressed as I got my dates exactly right at 10 +4 [what a geek!].

LB - good to see you. Sorry you are having probs with DP. Hope it all works itself out.

Diege · 06/09/2008 18:00

Fingers crossed TINKs, at least you are getting regular viewings! .
Hi LB!! Great to see you back, we've missed you . Sounds like things are being directly addressed at your end anyway, though must be v.stressful. E-mailed you a few days ago in case you wanted a rant, but of course rants are always welcome on here too . Here's hoping you get things sorted soon .
Back from market - pretty rubbish, not a spot on the Continental ones we sometimes get. Had an ice cream in Scoop, and got some bits from Lush. Can't decide what to watch tonight - King Kong (too sad), Volcano, or Eurovision Dance Contest ..ah it's a tough life!

tinkhasanactivebean · 06/09/2008 17:54

hi ladies

it is raining really heavy here blooming british summer
dh showed viewers around said that they were very positive about everything so toughed wood.
me and dd went looking around shops

lardybump · 06/09/2008 14:45

Afternoon ladies I am back online. Shame because that means I am back to work as well ! I am also back home and we are having lots of crisis talks. DD is so happy to be back that I am sure I am doing the right thing. I am sharing dd's room at the moment which is not so good as she keeps waking me up in the night!!

Hope you are all well and I will do my best to catch up but if anyone cares to give me a quick round up that would be great....

Cosmogirl · 06/09/2008 14:10

Hi Diege, not being sick 5 times a day, 5 times in the last four weeks! God, I would be dead if that were the case! Having the dry heaves about 1-3 times a day though.
If it stopped around 13/14 that would be amazing - think I could hang on in for a few more weeks. Been signed off for two weeks but boss has agreed to let me work from home next week and I said I'd be back in as soon as I feel ready.

Weird how each woman seems to be 'touched' by MS in such different ways...And I keep reading the phrase 'when the baby is in your arms it will be all worth it'! At this moment in time I have to say I'm in no hurry to go through this again any time soon!

babymadness · 06/09/2008 14:08

Hello ladies...wonder if anyone can help me...

i am on first cycle of clomid after many years of ttc. i am due to have period tomorrow, monday or tue....just wondering about symptoms...i have had a ffeling of period tummy this morning but gone now...also swollen and tender breasts from yesterday...but the main worry is i noticed a lump on the outside of my right breast two days ago...it feels like it could be a swollen glan but i'm not sure...anyone know if this could be to do with tablets or pregnancy or should i be worried? its about th size of a 2 pence piece (but a ball!) i think there is one in the other breast but not as big....so it must just be a gland, which is prob nothing to say i'm preg ey? i'm driving myself in sane not doing a test!!

Diege · 06/09/2008 14:03

Hi COsmo - my sickness stopped at around 13/14 weeks. Gradually petered off as opposed to waking up one day and it was gone. I still had my morning puke up until about 20 weeks, but I think that was more down to habit than actual need!
I would say being sick 5 times a day is pretty bad tbh. You could always say it's constant (naughty I know) but they did do a urine test on me that showed up keytones in urine. The other guide was if you'd lost a stone (I dropped to 7.5 from about 9 - mot a nice look) so looks like you might fit this criteria.
One website I found really helpful was 'Blooming Awful' - loads of good tips and stories from people who've been through it, plus a helpline staffed by foprmer sufferers. It all helped, though the best thing for me was being signed off work - are you still going in?
Really hope you're nearing the end! Remember, I did it 3 times as end result is worth it! (just )

Cosmogirl · 06/09/2008 13:47

Thanks Diege . Which week did your sickness stop? I can't wait to be able to eat normally again. If it doesn't stop, I don't know how on earth I am meant to nourish this baby...clusters, milk and bread and butter is all it has been getting for about four weeks.

Prob is I am not actually vomiting that much, only 5 or so times, the rest is just incredibly intense nausea and dry heaving, so maybe drugs would not help me anyway...

Good luck with the hoovering. Once the sickness goes, can't wait to blist my house, it is an absolute state!

Diege · 06/09/2008 12:50

Red hot here now...bizarre weather! COSMO, having had hyperemesis myself I really feel for you. I have taken the anti-sickness meds (stemitil)after not being able to keep even water down, and they have been used for so many years now on pregnant women that they are considered safe by the majority of health practitioners. I would certainly think about seeing someone if your sickness doesn't abate soon. They don't usually take away the nausea, but they do stop you from being sick, which should help with your weight loss. I do feel for you though - the sickness is so debilitating .
Hi Dal! Hopefully some of our sun will wing its way to you soon. There are balck clouds looming though .
TINKS - do I detect a hint of xmas shopping plans in your post? . Dolls house sounds great - my 3 have had years of fun out of ours .
Right, best get on as dh has taken dds out so I can hoover .

tinkhasanactivebean · 06/09/2008 12:17

Cosmogirl · 06/09/2008 11:53

Congrats on the good scan GYo - really pleased for you.
Reading this thread can be tough at times with all the talk of food. I haven't eaten a hot dinner in 5 weeks . Starting to think this nausea is never going to stop..

I weighed myself this morning and am now 9 stone when I started out at nearly 10. Ribs are sticking out - yick...If it goes on maybe I need to speak to GP about anti-nausea drugs but am really worried about taking anything..

Dalrymps · 06/09/2008 11:23

Morning ladies!

Horrible and wet and blustery here, feel all cosy here in my dressing gown though, really should get dressed

Diege · 06/09/2008 10:40

Morning!!! Hope everyone is well. Nothing much doing here - dds screaming like banshies as we try and get them dressed and out. Hoping to get the farmer's market if weather holds, and I need to do a massive sort out ready for e-bay.
Speak later! xxx
