Whoops-started to add some people and then realised that all the cycle dates would be in a muddle.....very silly!

My pregnancy was great, birth not so great and I was completely clueless with a new born baby so i'd really love a second time where I'm not in the dark so much! Although I do worry that even this time will have its challenges-learning how to juggle dd with a newborn!! Sometimes i just can't see how that'll work !
Wishing everyone some more good wishes

Waiting2Exhale · 02/09/2008 01:07

Hi MrsMcJnr....thanks for the support...we will just have to wait and see how fern spotting goes. With regards the clearblue tests...they are giving away free pregnancy tests (new and improved with a conception indicator). I signed up for one about a week ago and it arrived on saturday....perfect timing for this cycle. Due to ovulate this weekend so am looking forward to the end of this month to use the test, which if positive, will also mean a possible may baby.

Welcome skiptonmaria...of course you can join..best of luck for this month.

I would have updated the stats but am completely lost now with what it might be...on CD10 myself.

MrsMcJnr · 01/09/2008 23:19

Twoplease ? hello I have a similar issue to you, my cousin gets married on 23/5 next year and whilst the wedding is here in Spain, it is 10 hours drive away! Not sure I could handle that if I was very, very pregnant!
Bexaa ? my DS is 7 months, it took us a while to have him and I am 35 soon so don?t want to waste time to have another much as I like our little family unit the way it is right now your experiences to date sound like mine; great pregnancy and birth with DS and a cake habit now
Sammysam ? hope the disappointments are soon over
Hope she stays away Funkybumps!
Welcome SkiptonMaria
Felt really sick this morning, could it be that a bowl of muesli is not enough to take a pregnacare vitamin with??

hey, can i join too? Just posted on the May thread and then saw this one...so thought I'd post here too!

We have just decided to start TTC#2 and are currently doing the BD well obviously not right this very minute...AF is due on DD 3rd birthday 16th Sept, which makes me about CD13 I think? Resulting in a very late May baby! Hopefully...DD was a first attempt baby so hoping #2 will be as easy! Good Luck to all of you!

littlemissmischief · 01/09/2008 15:10

Sorry forgot to add, good luck Funkybumps - hope the old witch stays away

littlemissmischief · 01/09/2008 15:07

Bexaa - you sound just like me, the day I had my ds all the nurses looked after him then the next day they were like 'get on with it' I was thinking what the hell do i do that is why im looking forward to the 2nd as I hope I know what im doing.

I didnt mind any of the bits afterwards its the pregnancy and birth bit that worries me, i didnt have a great time and i think why am i going to do it to myself again but firstly i hope it will be better the 2nd time and then i think i would go through it a hundred times to have my ds so I know it will be so worth it again.
Talking of ds he headbutted me right in the nose today (by accident) but it hurt so bad and I now have a terrible headache and it hurts when i move my head - ouch!

Anyhoo - Getting back to ttc, I Hope everyone is doing ok, i done my ov test today anone everyday now till ect to be so just do one everyday now till i am i suppose! x

sammysam · 01/09/2008 14:38

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!
twoplease-would be sods law-alos would be difficult if you are v.pregnant as well!

I have my smear test tomorrow-really not looking forward to it but at least it is out of the way then!

I've toyed with the idea of getting OPK but think it'd make me much too aware-iyswim? I'm so new to this as dd was a complete surprise and i'm really not enjoying it so far-the waiting and dissapointment is really nasty

Hi everyone,

I was on the may thread - have been away on holiday and its great to come back to such an optimistic new thread! Hi to all from old thread and all others too.

I am TTc#2 - 6th or 7th cycle - CD 11 i think. Have also got cheapie OPK from ebay but agree with whoever said about the pressure it brings. i'm pretty sure i am ovualting at mo but DH poorly so am having to hope that swimmers from weekend are long-lasting ones!!!

to be honest, in some ways, i ought not to be trying too hard this month as my brother has just announced he is getting married on June 5th next year (in germany!) - i have worked out that if i get pregnant this month, i will be due 29th May. could be tricky don't you think....

funkybumps · 01/09/2008 09:04

Hi everyone, how is everyone doing ? I'm still holding out hope for a May baby but AF is due tomorrow so we'll wait and see I guess. Had a few pre AF twinges last night though so I think the witch is on her way lol

MrsMcJnr · 31/08/2008 23:27

LOL I can't believe I want to repeat those first six weeks again either but I do......

MamaMimi - sorry the uninvited guest turned up!

Bexaa - OH is 44, but it's alright for blokes isn't it, they can keep having kids into old age!!

I've wanted a June baby since I first started thinking about having another dc. My reasons are a bit wacky tho' - it's because of all of my close family members (dp, dd, mum, dad, sis, nephew & niece) none of us have June birthdays, so I'd like to slot one in.

So sorry MamaMimi-good luck for this month x

MrsMcJnr TTC#2 ditto!!

mrsleroyjethrogibbs BFP,

BTW, bexaa, the only thing I am taking is folic acid, although there are days I forget about that!

DP and I are of the same mind on this, ie. if it happens then 'great', if not we love having dd and are quite happy.

But I am intrigued to know why it isn't happening at the mo'. So far I'm putting it down to my age and the probability once you're over 35 and all that.(I'm 37 in Oct)

MrsMcJnr - My period wasn't even late when I was pg with dd! I had a few AF bleeds at beg of pregnancy and, although I BF dd 'til she was almost 2, AF came back after 2/3 months of giving birth. One doc told me that I am just very vascular down there!!!

MrsMcJnr · 31/08/2008 14:12

Hey Waitingtoexhale hope it works for you hon. I seem to remember that one of the problems with me was that I am always drinking something and that messed up any potential ?ferns? what?s a clearblue trial tester? Does it work like Persona?

Mamamimi ? hope AF is very, very late! (like at least 10 months!) That said, I haven?t had one since 10 April last year! (only just stopped BFing DS)

Littlemissmischief ? yes you can! I know someone you missed out on her fertile window every month until she realised that she actually ovulated on CD8!! I ovulate late, around CD17-19 and have a short LP so my cycle is about 28-29 days (or was before I had DS)

Bexaa ? welcome to the game! hope you get a BFP (big fat positive!) next Friday.

It?s funny; all the old imaginary symptoms are torturing me! Things like bleeding gums which could mean anything (like sore gums!). I am trying not to symptom spot but it was a way of life for so long I can?t help it. I guess with not knowing where I am in my cycle or if I can call it that is making me second guess everything. Over the last 6 weeks, I have had a few days here and there of EWCM and other days of CM but no AF yet. Sorry if TMI!

Last time round I tried everything a whole variety of vitamins and supplements, temping, charting, legs up after sex, preseed, reiki, reflexology, lifestyle, diet, the works?..! At the moment I?m not doing any of that though I m still taking my pre-natal vits.

We weren't actively trying with dd, it happened and I didn't even know until I was about 7 weeks pg. I put off ttc#2, as I wanted a decent age gap and thought if it happens as quickly as last time I don't want to get caught out.

HA!! That's a bloody laugh and a half. But then I am nearly 5 yrs older than I was then (36 now). So here I am after almost a year of ttc#2 and still no BFP. So now I'm thinking 'why didn't we start trying sooner?'. Oh well, you just don't know what's going to happen do you?

Although I must add that I have always ummed and aarghed about whether to have another because of the things it would change, but my dd would love a sibling so I've been persuaded by her wishes really, tho' I do also think it would be best to have more than the one.

Hello bexaa, welcome.

Obviously you know what ttc stands for. Some of the other 'codes' are in the acronym list that you can click on at the top of the page, although interestingly CD is not on the list. I've always taken that as meaning Cycle Day, with cycle day 1 being the first day of your period.

Are you ttc baby #(number)1?
What Cycle Day are you/do you think you are on?
