Thought I'd start a new thread for those of us who are out for May. Love to see some of my old friends here as well as maybe some new ones

Evening all,

Littlemiss - I've had the same issues as you with the OV tests - i didn't get strong positives at all and have just got AF so have no idea if i actually OV or not.

am going to see if finances stretch to some 'posh' ones this month (last ones were ebay cheapies) to see if that makes a difference - but i think the BD every other day is probably best approach all round really - not sure I have the willpower or time to chart or temp although I think it would be useful.

have got to have a smear on friday which I have been putting off in the hope I would be pregnant and not able to have it but as that isn't happening, I've forced myself to make the appt. I have a small pelvis (TMI - sorry!) and smear tests are a really horrendous experience for me as no nurse believes me when i ask for a small speculum (sorry - TMI again!) i am already thinking about it too much!

anyway - any news from those of you at the top of the list?

littlemissmischief · 15/09/2008 20:14

Thankyou Dawn, that has made me feel alot better, I didnt have a 2nd line for a while and then the last few days ive had a 2nd line, none strong enough to be a positive but yesterday was the darkest so far and we have been BD loads over the last 2 weeks and will continue to do so so hopefully I havent missed the boat - Thanks again x x

wzmo · 15/09/2008 17:55

is it possible to be pregnant and still have eggwhitie disscharge??????

DawnAS · 15/09/2008 17:50

Oooops - I didn't mean "I think I had an MC two weeks later", I meant I DID have an MC two weeks later (at 5 weeks PG ).

xx

DawnAS · 15/09/2008 17:48

Littlemissmischief, I wouldn't use the tests as a sure answer anyway...

Just to put them into perspective. During my first cycle of TTC I used them for 2 weeks because I wasn't aware of EWCM or anything like that. I got very faint lines for 2 weeks in a row - so none of them were positive. But then I found out that I was PG 2 weeks after the second lot of faint lines. So they don't work really because I don't think I could have become PG without OVing - ha ha!!

I've got loads of EWCM at the moment but the OPK tests don't have any lines at all. My advice is just to BD every other day once AF has completely gone and then you can't go wrong! That's what I did and it worked for me. Unfortunately I think had an MC a couple of weeks later but we're trying again now.

Keeping things crossed for you!!

xx

littlemissmischief · 15/09/2008 16:48

Oh dear, getting myself in a right tizz this afternoon, needed to come on here and get some prospective I think, Did my Ov test and it had a line but very faint was so sure it was going to be a positive because of the period type pains I had earlier so now very disapointed! Im on CD23 and still not even ovulated that seems so abnormal too me! But Ive read alot of people say that the Ov tests dont work and you blink and you miss your window of positive on the test etc... but now thinking I could of missed it? I also hae really sore boobs today can that be a sign of ovulation? They have been a bit tender all month tho which is unusual and then I read a thread about people who had 'proper' periods but were pg so now thinking that too! ARRRGGGHHHH just want to be pg all this worry and stressing and overthinking surely cant be healthy.....Ok rant over!

Sans - so sorry to hear that x

Yellowflowers/Dawn - sorry I cant contribute with the ECWM as I dont have a clue!

JLo2 · 15/09/2008 14:56

Sorry to hear about your bleeding Sans04, I had something similar about 6 months ago and my cycles now seem to have sorted themselves out.

I've adjusted my dates on the list, hope that's okay.

hey sans. so sorry to hear about mc. sometimes nature just isnt fair. stay strong and have faith in yourself. and remember you can always vent here

DawnAS · 15/09/2008 14:14

Thanks "VM". Just been to the loo and LOADS of EWCM!! No temp rise though (is that supposed to happen up to or after?!). BDd last night so will go again tonight just in case. Thought EWCM might have been something to do with that, but not the amount I've just had!! Way TMI - sorry!!

VillageMum · 15/09/2008 14:00

Hi DawnAS, EWCM is definitely the onset of ovulation - I've been reading up over the weekend! Supposed to signal that optimal time to conceive is in next 2-3 days from onset. Not that I'm nearly at that stage yet myself. Good luck!

yellowflowers · 15/09/2008 13:53

Hi DawnAs - I hope so. I've read different things. Fingers crossed...

DawnAS · 15/09/2008 13:48

Hey Yellowflowers,

I always thought that EWCM was the onset of Ovulation as opposed to post-ovulation... I hope so anyway!!

Sans04 · 15/09/2008 13:21

hi all
I just had AF yesterday with a really bad pain and flowing bleeding (blood clot), so I had to call my speialist and he did a test on me the hormon level was very hi which he recommend that was misscarage, so I am on some pills now and I dont know where I will recover from that to try again cose the doctore wants to see me again on 23 september.
well done Twoplease and LovelyMonster for the new list what a big list we have fingures cross for everyone.

yellowflowers · 15/09/2008 13:15

Have put this on other threads I'm on so apologies if anyone also on them and getting bored of me. I had loads of ewcm on sat a week after I thought I ovulated which would mean this month a 37 day cycle rather than 30 - am annoyed as did loads of bding day 13-19 as was on holiday. did bd on sat night having seen the ewcm on the afternoon but is that too late - ewcm means you have just ovulated not you are about to doesn't it? So peeed off. It does mean if no af I should wait until end of Sept to wait thoug (as if I will hold out that long!) UNless, small glimmer of hope, sat ewcm was because of implantation - is that possible?

littlemissmischief · 15/09/2008 12:22

Ohh thanks MamaMia - really hoping it is Ovulation pains, it seems like Ive been waiting ages this month for it but my cycles have been around 40 days most of the time so i suppose that makes it right so thats good, the one bad thing I keep thinking is that when I fell with DS I didnt try and didnt know all the ins and outs I do now (and i do know how extremley lucky I was then) but it means that it took 4 weeks after I ovulated to get my BFP so Im thinking the same will happen with the next one so will have a 4ww not a 2ww - Oh no Oh well will be worth it when I get a BFP!

Sorry LovelyMonster - Its great that your still in for June Im glad your hanging around

Jools - All sounds very good! Got my fingers tightly crossed for you, try to hold out till Friday tho even tho I bet it feels like a lifetime!

MamaMimi · 15/09/2008 11:49

Hey Jools, how exciting. Hold out and keep yourself busy 'til Fri. If you test too early and get a neg you'll only be disappointed even though it may be wrong (you know,'cos it's too soon). BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!

Jools1 · 15/09/2008 11:37

Morning All

Sorry the witch has got to so many

I'm on the home stretch of the 2WW now and have some very encouraging imaginary symptoms Testing Friday if I can hold out that long - anyone else ?

MamaMimi · 15/09/2008 11:35

Hi LM - x-posted with you- sorry about AF coming. I know it's even more disappointing when your hopes have been raised by her coming late.

We all have to just keep trying and it will happen if and when it's meant to - that's what I tell myself (mostly 'cos that's what I believe actually). But I know it's still hard to not be disappointed.

Keep meaning to make an appointment with Dr for tests as we've been trying for a year now and I would just like to know if there is maybe a physical reason for it not happening yet. But for some reason keep putting off making the appt, I think it's just the thought of fitting it in, a lot on my mind at the mo'.

MamaMimi · 15/09/2008 11:23

Hello to all.

These threads move so quickly!
Hope everyone is doing ok today.

lmm - I was due to ovulate yesterday and I did get the pains that I associate with it, they started last eve. Still feeling a bit crampy today, it is quite like AF cramps but just on one side (mine is left side this cycle too). Mine can feel quite acute at times too, so that for a few secs it makes me catch my breath and do a little 'ooooh'!!!

Problem I have is that since AF left this month I have been suffering with cystitis symptoms - not nice. And dp was away over night (comes back tonight), great timing! We did manage to BD on Sat night tho',so hoping that if we carry on from tonight all is not lost.

LovelyMonster · 15/09/2008 11:15

Hi all. Well AF has definately arrived . What a bugger, nature was just playing tricks on me! Onward and upward. Not feeling too bad. At least I will still be in for June and therefore stay on this thread and hopefully we will all have a very successful June expectations!!!

Sam - How long is your cycle? No signs of AF so thats fab! Stay positive - good vibes coming your way!

Littlemiss - Sound promising about left side pain. I have heard that some women always know when they ov as they can feel it pop out!!!!! Heres hoping!!!!!

Two please - Sorry to hear you are in the same boat as me! We shall cruise together!!!

I shall now attempt to update the list!!!!!

littlemissmischief · 15/09/2008 10:37

Morning Ladies

Sammysam - Try to stay positive hun, I know its hard and it drags on soooo long but like you say try and keep busy.

Twoplease - so sorry AF turned up for you, fingers crossed for this cycle.

Well I am at work and seriously bored!!! I have something that feels like period pain but only on my left side but Im hoping this is ovulation pains?? Does anyone have this or know what ovulation pains feel like?? Im hoping it is and that I get a positive today and then atleast I know where I stand and can start the countdown lol

Hope everyone else has a good day! x

sammysam · 15/09/2008 09:59

Morning everyone! Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Still just over a week to go til i can test (damn my long cycles) and i'm symtom spotting even though I promised myself i wouldn't this month thing is I know that most of the symptoms could just as easily be AF symptoms as well-nature is so cruel! So i'm madly wishing that we are lucky this month but also being as thinking it prob won't happen
Fingers crossed.

Not enough time to catch up on the thread, so i'll say hello to everyone new, good luck to anyone about to test or busy BDing, and those on their 2WW-so to everyone really ! And sorry to those with BFNs and recent miscarrages x x x

Need to keep very busy this week and keep my mind off it but it is sooooo hard

twoplease · 14/09/2008 21:51

oh cr*p, i still did it wrong as i've just realised i should be at the bottom of the list as at beginning of cycle I really should preview my messages before posting

i apologise - i am vaguely intelligent you know!!

Evening all,

Have amended the list Littlemiss as i am back to the beginning again after the shortest cycle known to womankind - have used an online calendar thingy and worked out that i would still be in for a June baby on new cycle so am sticking around if that's ok by everyone!! Am going to be able to go to my brothers wedding in Germany so that's what's cheering me up at mo (refer to beginning of thread if you can remember back that far!!)

Thanks for the tip Mrs McJnr - I thought I ovulated early in my cycle but am not entirely sure - was using cheapie OV tests which didn't really give me a positive all cycle (another thing to worry about!!) so might stretch to some posh digital ones so that I can start working out what is going on. I have seen other posts mentioning agnus whatsit to lengthen LP phase so might read up on that.

have fun anyone 'at the right time, good luck all those on 2ww and hello any newcomers [waves in a welcoming fashion]
