Thought I'd start a new thread for those of us who are out for May. Love to see some of my old friends here as well as maybe some new ones

Hi all,
Rosylee I'm just a day "ahead" of you- but not using OPKs or anything so just banking on ovulation being somewhere between 10 & 17 days (I have regular 28 day periods fortunately)- so have been trying to BD every other day or more over this period- CD14 now... But DH, DCs & I have all had horrid cold so missed 2 days of BDing...hoping to make up for it this next could of nights (although DD seems to have other ideas). Think DH thinks xmas has come early, he definitely likes this TTC lark!!

Trying also not to obsess but sure once we are on the 2WW it will be hard not to. I find the wait so hard but determined to resist testing early...don't want to waste any more money on tests!!

Huge hugs to those of you who've been TTC for a good while, I can't imagine how hard that is- although a very close friend has been trying for 2 years, finally started "investigations" and fell pregnant the same month as they did her 21-day bloods- isn't that ironic! But she found it so hard trying for that long...at least she's got there in the end and very fortunate to have avoided needing any more intervention...

Good luck everyone, sending lots of baby dust to you all x

Hi all. Have been folowing the thread avidly altho not posting much as was in first half of cycle so not much to say.

On day 13 now. OPK was positive yesterday and managed to find the time and energy to bd yesterday and the day before so maybe will be lucky this month. Mind you, I did all this last month and nothing came of it!! I'm going to try really hard not to think too much about the whole thing in the next two weeks. We're going to center parcs for the weekend next weekend so hopefully that will take my mind off it.

Good luck to everyone else.

lillypie · 18/09/2008 09:18

Yep still in for a June baby and tonight I can get stuck in to some of that lovely wine that I brought back from France!!!

Everything crossed for those of you testing at the weekend xx

bamboostalks · 18/09/2008 09:05

Thanks for all these stats. Have not been posting much as trying not to obsess (fat chance!) I am ttc no 2 and actually on cd 26 so that bumps me up the list. Have fingers crossed this time, was convinced that I had an ovulation bleed. Now feel really negative and think no chance. Am going to start clomid and IUI next month so in a way want to get cracking. Still a flicker of hope though.

Lilypie sorry hun - Take LMs advice and get the wine and chocs out

MrsMcJnr - Im just going on what happened with my DS I didnt get a positvie for 4 weeks after I concieved with him so assuming it would be the same next time round, I could test before (and probably will) but just thought if i hold off till then and ive had no AF it seems more likely.

Princess - Hope you feel better soon x

Waiting2Exhale - everything crossed for you!

LovelyMonster · 18/09/2008 08:26

Sorry to hear the the witch got you lillypie Put your feet up tonight with a big glass (bottle) of wine and relax. You are still in for a June bubba - just late June like me! Good vibes coming your way

lillypie · 18/09/2008 07:43

I'm out ladies AF arrived this morning

Good luck to the rest of you!!!!

wzmo · 18/09/2008 03:20

well i suppose it is a normal thing to ask the kid question i am sure i have asked it a few times myself . I am due for AF on the 28th keep my fingers crossed but most likely with our LO not sleeping much at night don't think it could really be possible, hahaha. Hope everyone else is doing well today.

wzmo · 18/09/2008 03:20

MrsMcJnr · 17/09/2008 23:28

Twoplease & wzmo ? they are not really interested in retroverted wombs/titled wombs in pregnancy because by the time they have the weight of a baby in them, they straighten themselves out (that was what I was told anyway) I, in contrast, had a very good labour (and it was my first) contractions from 4am but managed to sleep on and off until 9am, at midday was 4cms dilated (happened to have Dr appointment), 3.30pm had urge to push, went to hospital, was told I was fully dilated and DS was born at 5pm without any drugs or assistance ? yes, I was very, very lucky!!

Wzmo ? thanks we tried for quite a while for DS and I became a bit obsessed and read EVERYTHING I could poor you it really annoys me that people dare to ask questions about having children, it is so invasive (and often hurtful) ? in the real world that is, Mumsnet is another story

Well done for holding out Lilypie fingers crossed!!

Yellowflowers ? I know what you mean, before I got pg with DS I convinced myself every cycle that I was pg by symptom spotting

Littlemissmischief ? sounds good I?m confused, why is there no point testing until around 12/10 if you ovulate now? On 14dpo you have a 74% chance of getting a BFP if you are pregnant, that would be around 1/10?

Waitingtoexhale ? big hug, sounds like TTC is getting to you, it is hard isn?t it? let the oats look after you!

1littleprincess ? sorry to hear that you don?t feel well hopefully you?ll feel better soon and that the BDing paid off

Well ? my temps are rising here in a predictable post Ov manner but we?ll see if that keeps on ? realistically, only one BD was well timed and it probably would be a good idea to have a proper cycle before getting pg but?.. I would like to be pg too had some mid cycle spotting so that bodes well for returning fertility!

Waiting2Exhale · 17/09/2008 21:05

Arrh littlemissmischief thanks...am hoping I fall into that category . Think am due Saturday but will probably test friday as I promised to keep another MNetter company. Not long to go now I suppose.

1littleprincess how very cute of your littleone... my ds hasn't started talking about another sibling yet but am sure it will be on the cards soon. Hoping to beat him to the punch line IYKWIM

1LittlePrincess · 17/09/2008 21:02

feel unwell today......really should preview posts

1LittlePrincess · 17/09/2008 20:56

Hey All feel so out of the loop. Trying to catch up from my weekend away from MN.

Managed to BD quite abit over the last 3 days, but few very unwell today

Sorry to see that a few of you are feeling flat. sending lots of +ve vibes to you all.

LMM & Wzmo, I agree I cant wait for my DD to be a Big Sis, and she has started asking me when im going to have a baby too now when any one mentions the baby word.

lillypie: Well Done you for being able to resist testing. Fingers crossed for you when you decided to.

Catch you all later x

littlemissmischief · 17/09/2008 20:32

Wzmo - I know I cant wait for my little Boy to be a big brother only seems like yesterday he was tiny himself, it goes so quickly doesnt it! My AF symptoms vary so much I never know whats going on either!

Waiting2Exhale, sorry your feeling a bit flat hun, when is your period due? You never know there are some people that go no symptoms at all so there is always hope, Good luck with the oats!

Waiting2Exhale · 17/09/2008 19:42

Hi guys...sorry havn't been on for a while....feeling less and less pg as the days go by...apart from a pulling feeling down low there is really nothing I could possibly point to that I could hang a glimmer of hope onto....agggrrr . Can't really say I'm excited about testing now...must be having a down day, this not wanting to test malarky, is soooooo not me .

Hoping the rest of you are having more luck than me.

MrsMcJnr Have started my first course of oats this morning...heres hoping this turns things around for me...ehehhee

wzmo · 17/09/2008 16:53

littlemissmischief we also have not said anything to anyone so we always get the same ?'s, but yes i agree we are lucky to have our Lo's. Hopefully when the time comes they will be great big sisters/brothers! now that i am getting AF again i always feel like i am having preggo signs i thnk since i forgot what it was like to have Af symptoms. well it is due to come this 28th sooo we will see!

littlemissmischief · 17/09/2008 13:06

Hi all

MrsMcJnr - yes they are dull and my boobs are really sore so hopefully they are Ov pains but ive worked out there is probably no point in testing until about the 12th October if I havent had AF - How long is that!!!! Ive been testing about 3pm each day, im not getting too hung up just wanted to get a positive so I knew what i was doing.

Wzmo - Vent away hun, My DS is nearly 2 and wanted him to be about a year and a half old when I got pg again so just thought it would happen straight away again but have been trying about 6 months now also, Its especially hard because we havent told anyone and people talk about being pg or always asking you when the next one will be like you can click your fingers and be pg it makes me so , Atleat we have lovely DC1's to take our minds of it

Lillypie - you have willpower of steel! I know what you mean though you dont want to burst the bubble, but all the signs are good so fingers doubly crossed for you!

Hope everyone else is having a good day too x

yellowflowers · 17/09/2008 12:48

thanks mrsmcjnr - I am pretty certain not pregnant. No signs at all except mildly sore boobs which seems to be my number 1 period sign. almost a relief - what I hate is having symptoms then getting period.

lillypie · 17/09/2008 11:20

No sign of AF yet,due to test today but too chicken-don't want to be disappointed.

Already eaten half a box of chocolates

wzmo · 17/09/2008 02:39

Mrsmcjnr WOW i am impressed with how much info you have and your amazing memory of what people write!!!!!

wzmo · 17/09/2008 02:37

so twoplease i have a tilted womb also, and they kept telling me that it would not change anything about labor, but i also had 36 hours of labor before am emergency C-section, so do you think that is why? with your next are you having another Csection?

twoplease · 16/09/2008 23:54

Thanks Mrs Mcjnr - I won't take anything til I've done a bit of research - gonna give it a couple more months before I really worry anyway!

i have been told i have a tilted womb too - the first nurse I saw at uni had a good feel/look when doing a smear - when i mentioned this to the midwife when I was expecting DD, she completely dismissed it - then ended up having an emergency cs after 30 hours of labour basically because there was no way on the world dd was getting out! - i am really trying not to think about smear on friday!!! its wierd its so common isn't it.....

apologies for the double post earlier too - was in a hurry!!

MrsMcJnr · 16/09/2008 23:38

Hey girls just a quickie from me as I?m shattered.

Minshu ? hello you!! congratulations on your lovely new life hope you get your BFP really soon hon

Waitingtoexhale - think the oats have benefit throughout your cycle. Last time round, I took evening primrose oil, grapefruit juice and B6 until ovulation then flaxseed oil afterwards and the oats and pregnacare throughout!

Welcome VickyJane good luck! Hope you feel better soon.

Littlemissmischief ? LOL at getting bored! Those pains sound like ovulation pains are they very low and dull rather than sharp? Try not to get hung up on the ov tests (what time of day are you testing?) worrying too much can delay ovulation you know! Sore boobs can be a secondary sign of ovulation. I?m tilted too by the way.

Lovelymonster ? hope the bleeding was a false alarm.

DawnAs ? sorry about your MC I got pg exactly 10 weeks after a MC so here?s hoping for you hon.

Twoplease ? be careful with that Agnus Cactus. It?s strong stuff. I really recommend Toni Weshcler?s book ?Taking charge of your fertility? it?s full of info and tips make sure you treat yourself after the smear (I find them v painful too)!

Sammysam ? hope the time passes quickly!!

Mamamimi ? sounds like you might be one of those ladies who actually feels the egg being released!!

LOL Jools1 ? good luck!!

Yellowflowers ? you can get EWCM returning before AF and after ovulation, it?s not a sign of returning fertility though. EWCM normally appears just before ovulation not after but a week on suggests to me that it isn?t ovulation related (if it was ovulation last week). My temp dips just before ovulation but you wouldn?t expect to see it rising above the line before ovulation.

Sans04 ? sorry hon

Wzmo ? yup, I did, creating the mucous plug I guess. My situation is very similar to ours, I am on cd525 or something because I haven?t had an AF since the cycle my DS was conceived in April 2007.

Hello to all those I haven?t greeted personally!!

MamaMimi · 16/09/2008 23:01

dinky - smear test shouldn't be a problem whatever is going on up there. Why are you thinking it shouldn't be done?

I had swabs when I was about 6 wks pg and was told that it would not affect anything.

If you're concerned about anything just mention to whoever does the smear what your circumstances/concerns are, they should be able to reassure you.
