Anyone Planning To TTC From October

VeryKeenForABean · 23/08/2008 20:49

Hi, I had an ectopic in May and am coming up to the end of my 3 month wait following methotrexate treatment. Need to wait for blood results in September but hope to start TTC from October. Feel really positive about the future and want to start looking forward. Anyone want to pass the time with me?

Hi again littlewifey, and good luck for the end of this month!

AF has now started so we are officially on our first ttc cycle since my mmc... littlewifey, I know all about those fears and I've also promised dh that I'll have a positive attitude - but there's only so much we can control mentally; sometimes you just have to have the feelings, acknowledge them, breathe deeply...

((waves)) to everyone else!

littlewifey · 19/11/2008 18:39

Hi everyone, haven't posted for a while. We are officially starting to try end of this month, although my cycle is sooo all over the place that not too sure when I'll ovulate!! Also petrified about trying again and can't stop worrying I might have MMC again if I ever get a BFP! So much for the positive mental attitude I promised my hubby I'd have Happy birthday for tomorrow Suzibhoy! Dawn37, I might try the green tea too, might regulate my cycle? Hello to everyone else!

dawn37 · 19/11/2008 08:18

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Suzibhoy, in the nicest possible way, I hope you have a sober one! Still waiting for AF, but had read if you drink lots of green tea itll help? I don't drink tea or coffee, but I'm giving it a shot, got to be honest my symptoms have increased, so I'm thinking if I make that appointment with GP it's bound to turn up! Good luck everyone else, & hopefully someones going to get a positive to help set the ball rolling for the rest of us!!!

SuziBhoy · 18/11/2008 11:00

bubble - try not to test... im scared to test on the day my af is due never mind a week before. saves more disappointment i suppose. my dp is taking me out for a meal on thur then im hitting the town on sat, but its down to a small little plastic stick wether or not its gonna be a sober one

dawn sorry you must be having an awful time, but hopefully you can get started soon!

bluesatinsash good luck for sat and thanks for the bday wishes.

villagemum thanks for the bday wishes andgood luck for next cycle

hello to anyone ive missed.

VillageMum · 18/11/2008 09:34

Sounds as if we're all more or less in sync ladies! Good luck to all who are testing soon or waiting for AF - Suzi (happy birthday for Thurs!), bubblebell, Dawn, bluesatinsash.

Still waiting for AF - it's not bad news though as this means my luteal phase must be back to what it was pre-mc... oh this waiting around is hard though! Really want to start the next cycle!

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2008 21:34

Dawn - praying AF comes soon x

SuziBhoy - Happy Birthday for Thurs, what a lovely birthdya present that would be - a BFP wrapped in a big bow!

Bubble - resist the desire to test this early, its so inaccurate and you don't want your hopes built up or prematurely dashed.

VillageMum - hope AF makes her appearence soon and your hormones can reboot.

I'm not testing until Sat which is aaages away but do have Friday off for DH's birthday so we're having a day out in Glasgow which should keep our mind of things (and hey, AF may have arrived by then...)

'tis a roller coaster for sure x

dawn37 · 17/11/2008 19:12

Phone womens health today & she said do 1 more test & then see my GP as I definately should've had AF by now. This morning I was so convinced it would arrive as had moderate cramping & now nothing again. I'm now hoping to set my watch with you guys, so had better make that appointment! very fed up now

bubblebell1 · 17/11/2008 19:06

Hi everyone!

suzi god you have will power. I am dying to test

Do you have anything planned for your birthday?

AF is 7 days away for me and im feeling really impatient. if i was pregnant would it show this early??

xxxxxx

SuziBhoy · 17/11/2008 18:43

Hi everyone!

well bluesatinsash im starting to drive myself mad. AF due on thursday, which is also my birthday, so im hoping it stays away and i have to have a sober one , think i will test on thursday as well. will let you all know what happens.

How is everyone getting on?

VillageMum · 17/11/2008 17:44

bluesatinsash, I know what you mean, though with me it takes the form of being an emotional wreck and a wimp; I've been crying buckets for the last three days over absolutely nothing and everything. Think I've forgotten what so-called 'natural' hormones can be like (all those years on the pill were never like this I tell you! and then of course I was pg followed by mc.) Yes, let's synchronise hormonal watches!

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2008 13:15

Hi everyone,

Dawn - how are you today?

VillageMum - I'm soo hormonal too! Have been all weekend (shouted at DH over parking which I NEVER do. DS said "shoosh Mummy" ). Had a difficult meeting at work this morning and my boss said I looked as if I was going to 'paste them' - eek!

AF due on Sat. trying hard not to think about it but easier said than done. If it does come we can synchronise our watches for OV in December !

spats how are things with you - have you got your plans all drawn up for 'operation get me pg!'?

Hi SuziBhoy - how are you?

Well better get back to work, lunch has been eaten x

VillageMum · 17/11/2008 10:52

Dawn, sorry to hear you're going through a tough time, thinking of you...

spats, hope you're feeling better and that the NASA mission is successful!

bluesatinsash, how are things?

I'm waiting for AF to arrive; should be tomorrow or Wednesday - have never felt weepier or lower - hormones are AWFUL things!

SuziBhoy · 16/11/2008 22:42

dawn try not to stress so much, and i know its harder said than done. i worried alot when i went through the metho, but went to the doc, she said af will come when ready, so i went on the pill to help things along and now after coming of the pill my af is back to normal. as i said before people react different to metho, and i hope your cycle returns to normal soon. thinking of you

dawn37 · 16/11/2008 16:50

I had methotrexate on 5th Sept, bled 4 days after that for about 2 weeks & thats it

spats · 16/11/2008 15:07

dawn - how many days late are you?

dawn37 · 16/11/2008 10:58

I've decided to phone womens health unit tomorrow as it was them that was taking all my blood during that awful time, think they may be more helpful than GP. My boobs are really sore today & I'm very very grumpy! I just wish AF would hurry up & appear so that I can start again

spats · 15/11/2008 14:07

i have decided to take agnus castus today in a bit to get my lp from 10-11 days to 14 so gives more chance for implantation. So no i take that, EPO and grapefruit juice and have come off my daily antihistamine as that drys up the mucus. And am going to to DH plan. THis is getting more technical than a NASA mission!!! x

SuziBhoy · 15/11/2008 12:56

Hey ladies

just want to say still thinking of you all.

dawn and spats, sorry to hear what you are going through, hope things settle soon.

someone has to get the ball rolling.... waiting for that bfp, it will happen

bluesatinsash · 15/11/2008 08:16

Morning All,

Dawn - how are things with you today? Have you thought any more about getting checked out by the Doctor? Understand you don't want to be poked about though..

spats your not infertile!! Your just like me - not used to having to wait more than one month to conceive! Remember the average time is six months (cold comfort I know when were all desperate for a BFP!)

I'm off to the gym now for my Sat. morning session plugged into my i-pod and plugged out of thinking about babies for an hour!

fertile thoughts to all x

spats · 14/11/2008 19:52

thanks bluesatin. feel bit better today. DS only 3 so doesn't realise and i have done bit of reasearch and am hoping he is the 1 in 5 that it clears up in.With the long NHS waiting list it will give a bit of time to see if it clears up before re check. Dawn you seem to be going through a bad patch. Think stress affect you psychologically but read somewhere that stress doesn't effect cycle too much, except maybe more likely when the stress is berevement. Finger crossed for this monthe. I reackon i am infertile!!!

dawn37 · 14/11/2008 19:33

Well did a test this morning & still negative. Think I will go & see GP as still havn't had AF, but you know what it's like, are they going to start pulling me about or could I be pregnant but need to retest in couple of days etc, the fertility monitor I have tests temperature & it reckoned I was fertile 14 days ago, so I think am I too early to test or could it just be a con with the machine that says I was fertile on the expected days or what? I'm so frustrated not knowing whats going on, I have other stuff going on as well so could be stress I suppose? any advice would be good

dawn37 · 12/11/2008 22:56

Hi spats, going through similar thing, my eldest daughter (12) is having a major op on her leg Jan 7th, she has to have her leg broken in 2 places, which is non weight bearing so she will be in a wheel chair 4 6 weeks, then 3 months later, the other leg. She is also mildly autistic, so isnt aware of what she's having done, I'm so worried about it all, perhaps this is why havn't had AF yet? I at least have had about 3 months to get used to the idea but only recently found out a date. I have found that this year it seems to be one bad thing after another, after my suspected ectopic, we had a flood in house, but on bright side have a new almost completed kitchen & am picking out new living room carpet, all courtesy of our insurance...Maybe this is the start of good things to come!

bluesatinsash · 12/11/2008 20:45

Spats glad your still here and sorry to read about your DS - how are you and him?

Our thread isn't jinxed just waiting for the first crack in the Dam followed by steady trickle then full flood! I always believe things happen in three's so we're going to have three BFPs soon - watch this space!

DH just made me a cuppa, off to chill on couch x

spats · 12/11/2008 19:14

sorry if i was grumpy yesterday. Just found out my ds mayneed grommits yesterday as well and was worried as they have general anaethetic so yesterday wasn't great, but feeling bit better today. will stay on this thread even thought not many of us are getting bfp maybe we are jinxed!!

VillageMum · 12/11/2008 18:51

Dawn, I think that anything that gives us knowledge about this whole process is worth it - yes, I use OPKs too, and I also do BBT with Fertility Friend! Plus I check the old CM. All adds up to a clearer picture... After years of ignorance about my body I now finally know what's going on when!
