Hi, I had an ectopic in May and am coming up to the end of my 3 month wait following methotrexate treatment. Need to wait for blood results in September but hope to start TTC from October. Feel really positive about the future and want to start looking forward. Anyone want to pass the time with me?

Hi Ellsbellzie, welcome! Come, join us! xx

Littlewifey, sorry to hear about the arrival of the horrid Aunt. Have been reading a Zita West book about conception, and she advises viewing "this as a time for renewal" (I'm inclined to view it as a time for eating chocolate) but am wishing you positive thoughts xx

Hi VKFAB, all ok here thanks. Well except for the fact that I just got my AF, which was late, so now doesn't look like I'll be trying till November- as have really long cycles since MMC grrrrr!!! How are you? Hi Ellsbellzie, you are welcome to join us. Sorry to hear about your ectopic/misc xx

Hi CamsMommy, so sorry to hear about your loss. Hope your recovery has gone well.

That counts as one dose, my first dose was given as 2 injections. They split the dose as each muscle can only have so much liquid injected and it should be less painful in smaller amounts (although I had my 2nd dose as one injection and I think just one needle is better!!)Good luck with TTC -fingers crossed for you!

I have had my appointment, all my bloods are fine so we are go, go, go for TTC!! I hope all of you get the same positive news and October is a fertile month for all of us!!!!

HI. Hope You all don't mind if I join.
I found I was pregant Mother's Day but had to get the methotrexate shot early june.
My question:
When I got the shot the nurse administered it in 2 shots (one in each hip), I am wondering if that counts as just one injection since they were on the same day.

i recently had an hsg and my tubes were clear. we wanna try in oct, but i am just trying to clarify that my methotrexate shots actually only count as 1 shot. since my ovulation days will be almost 20 weeks since my shot. (almost 5 months)
thanks.
and i will be thinking about all of you!!!
i always pray for other mothers and families that have been through what we have!!
best of wishes.

welcome back VKFAB, glad you enjoyed your holiday. I would love to go away again, as work is a nightmare at the moment!! 3 people are all off on maternity leave in the next month or so and I feel !!!
Welcome also to VickyJane, sorry to hear of your mc. I think you are right to try to think positive thoughts. Speaking from my own experience, it's very hard though isn't it! Not long til October now though. Hope everyone else is ok? x

Hi, I had MC back in June, and am waiting 3 months before trying again, so will be TTC in oct. I've been really fed up over it all, but now decided to be positive, as if anything happens again I can't stop it, so may as well be happy than sad! Can't wait now for AF, it's due in 2 weeks, just wish we could try now!!

littlewifey · 06/09/2008 11:42

Welcome babyinarms, I'm very sorry to read about your MC, but we all understand here so feel free to vent your frustrations. I don't know about everyone else, but I find it so much easier to speak here than in 'real life'!!
Suzibhoy and VKFAB- I'm with you on the whole pregnancy comments from others. I got married just over 2 years ago, and as most ppl don't know about my MMC at work I've had loads of people nudging each time a new preg is announced and saying things like 'will it be you next?'. Obviously it's not their fault, but sometimes I want to kick them!!!
VKFAB - Are you off on hols this weekend? Anywhere nice? (Please don't make us too jealous )

SuziBhoy · 05/09/2008 11:45

hello babyinarms

ofcourse you can join us and wait impatiently lol

sorry to hear about your experiences, but as you said their is light at the end of the tunnel!

It must have been so hard waiting for six months! I mean 3 months is feeling like a life time to me but just cant imagine what you went through.

I think keepin busy helps me a lot, no time left to think about it really, and also the chats on here

x

babyinarms · 04/09/2008 21:46

Hi everyone, sorry to hear all your stories , hopefully all will go well come oct, nov!
I did a pregnancy test mon and got a BFP, but bleeding today and now tested a BFN, i am upset but not so surprised as have been spotting all week, even for 5 days before AF was due. Anyway long and short of it i am now going to wait until oct to try again to allow everything to settle down a bit...so is it ok to join ye?

Verykeen and suzi, i know how hard it is to wait to try again also. I had a molar pregnancy back in 2006 and had to wait 6 months before trying again! But on a positive note i fell pregnant first month off the pill and now have a wonderful DD who will turn 1 next month...so there is light at the end of the tunnel!

SuziBhoy · 04/09/2008 17:53

yeah thats a good idea, i started pilates, but just at home on the dvds, hard work lol

VeryKeenForABean · 04/09/2008 10:19

I know what you mean. Someone at work came up to me and said in from of everyone "I had a dream about you where you were really heavily pregnant...". Maybe on a phenomenal (?made up) level we give something out?.

Have joined (and gone to!) a gym to focus my getting ready energies!!

Take care x

OMG started my third year at college the other day and 3 people have asked me if there is going to be an addition to my family......... wots that about..... do we send off a vibe that says we were pregnant or somethin lol.

man november seems so long away.... i cant wait lol

thinking of u all xx

VeryKeenForABean · 02/09/2008 19:19

Hope everyone is ok today? Am off on holiday at the end of the week, which will help pass the time until my appointment! Does anyone else find themselves wanting to have more to do to get ready to ttc? I kind of want to be reading something, but would feel weird getting pg books/magazines. Does that make sense? It seems most things are for when you are pregnant. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can all legitimately be reading these! x

OP posts:
littlewifey · 01/09/2008 21:28

I know! Every time a new pg is announced at work, I can feel those that know about me watching me closely to see how I react. It's like being in the zoo
But we def aren't mad if so many of us feel this way. Thank heavens for mumsnet eh?!

VeryKeenForABean · 01/09/2008 18:09

Hi guys,

I think telling people is awful, 'cos not only does it make you think everything through again, but you know you're going to make them feel awkward and have to make them feel better and then feel that they are scrutinising you for your reaction too! I was off work for so long, I knew I was going to get questions, and I wondered whether to say "I'd rather not say" and seem a bit off, or tell people and deal with the conversation. i took the latter route with most people but not sure if it was best.

LW _ I cannot fathom why I am inconsolable with some people's news and quite ok about others - weird but just trying to go with it!

Thank goodness we all have similar feelings - means we can't all be mad!

Thinking of you all, xx

littlewifey · 01/09/2008 17:03

Yes Suzibhoy, I know exactly what you mean about telling people. I was quite lucky as had hardly told anyone we were pregnant, and found out MMC during a private scan before 12 week one. However, had obviously told parents, inlaws and had had to tell my boss (due to being offered different job role) I hated the looks of pity when I had to break news of MC and it made me feel like such a failure, which I know prob sounds stupid! Have just found out today that another colleague is pregnant (5th since my mc)- I keep wondering when will the announcements end!!!

SuziBhoy · 01/09/2008 12:35

It deffo is hard, but do you know what i found the hardest........... having to tell everyone what had happened, because it was their reaction that made me feel uncomfortable and upset. I dont know why... any of you feel like this?

VKFAB It is strange when you look forward to the appointments.... i remember feeling great when they told me i was no longer pregnant and my hcg had returned to normal........... because as you said.. its all about moving on

x

littlewifey · 31/08/2008 17:20

Hi VKFAB, I know what you mean about some people's news upsetting you more than others! There are lots of people at work who are pregnant and I see them every day, but have coped ok with that. However, have found the forthcoming birth of family baby (BIL and his GF) very hard to deal with emotionally!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend? x

VeryKeenForABean · 30/08/2008 22:23

Hi, sorry I haven't been on for a couple of days!

Welcome Lullymumma and littlewifey, sorry to hear of your stories and crossing my fingers for you LM. Know how hard it is when everyone else has good news, but strange that some people upset me more than others?!

SB, glad to hear your follow up went well. I'm looking forward to my appt on 25th Sept. Think it will act as a confirmation that we're moving on iykwim.

Thinking of you all x

OP posts:
SuziBhoy · 30/08/2008 11:50

VKFAB how are you getting on?

SuziBhoy · 30/08/2008 11:50

yeah it it soooo hard, also trying for my first.

Fell pg a recently but it ended in MC of one twin, and ectopic with the other. Bizarre eh?

So I am just waiting patiently (not)
and hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later.

I have a holiday booked to go away 2 weeks time so that is taking my mind of it a bit.
