madmarried, that was so spooky reading your post as it was like reading my life!! i to have a friend who is due this month and keep thinking if i get this month or possibly next they will be in the same year - stupid as it puts pressure on you and stress which doesn't help. I also assume i am ovulating mi9d month as i am (shall we put it) more frinedly towards my DH. We joke about it being the 2nd week when he knows i am up for it and then the 3rd week , basically, he can leave me alone as i really don't want him near me This is also my 4th month of ttc Where are you in the cycle? I am really not sure when af due now due to weird ovulation. I was expecting it at weekend if it had been normal cycle. Now i really hope it doesn't come until at least mon/tues for it to be a normal lp. boobs felt a bit heavy this morning which is possibly as pmt sign which is worrying as it means af could be here on weekend.

madmarriedNika · 02/11/2008 15:22

Hi Spats- just replied to you on another thread but thought I'd say hello here too and send you a hug, sounds like you are finding things a bit tough wondering what on earth your body is up to this month.
Just wanted to say I kind of know where you're coming from- with both my DCs like you I conceived straightaway (almost as soon as we thought about getting pregnant) and so never even thought about my cycle etc. Now in the 4th month of properly trying (and 5th month since came off pill) I have to say I too am finding it tough (and have a renewed respect for those long-time TTCers), and in a way I'm beginning to look for reasons why it's harder this time (and being silly and wondering if it's a sign to stop at 2!!). But deep down I think I know there are 2 possible causes for it taking longer- lack of opportunity to BD, due to DD not sleeping well, illnesses etc. and possibly stress too. So I'm now resolving to try to be patient and not think about TTC anymore, just go with the flow etc. And not going to try to time BD either to certain days- I've never used OPKs or anything but tend to believe I want to BD more often during my fertile period anyhow! so going to rely on my instincts and just let what'll be be... (hmmm easier said than done!)

2 friends recently told me they're pregnant with their 3rd children, and I had really wanted my next DC to be in the same school year as they'd be going to the same school, but doubt that'll happen now (over here the school enrolment runs July-July, and I'm out for a July baby). But there's nothing more I can do so just got to let go I guess!

Hope you are all doing ok & Good Luck! Baby dust to all xxxx

spats · 01/11/2008 11:25

thanks insy, after posting the question i saw one on the other thread about lp. Now i am in a panic thinking i may have a short lp. if af arrives next weekend i am in trouble!! but last month my lp was about 10/11 days which someone said was ok and you lp should be the same each month?? just another thing to worry about?

insywinsyspider · 31/10/2008 20:43

LP is luteal phase - the time between ov and af, I think ideally it should be at least 10 days which gives the egg chance to implate before the womb lining starts to degrade and af starts, but 'text book' LP is 12-16 days (hence calling it 2ww).
Keep an eye on your cycle lengths if you ov'd late this month you might start af later (or fingers crossed not at all) just keep an eye on you cycle to reassure yourself that there is time between ov and af (and obviously double check my answer on the forum as I'm an engineer and only quoting what I've learnt on here!)

and happy halloween

spats · 31/10/2008 14:25

my cycle is normally 27/28 days. what is LP?

insywinsyspider · 30/10/2008 19:49

spats - I ov'd CD23 so late as well, how long is your cycle? I think the most important thing is that your LP is long enough. Grapefruit juice sounds like a good idea, I've also seen pre-seed mentioned on these threads which many help if dh is ok with that... lol about dh thinking he's died and gone to heaven, we had that and then loads of whinging throughout 2ww as quite frankley I needed a break! Good news about itching this month x

good luck to everyone waiting x

spats · 30/10/2008 18:59

hi insy, doing ok, lots of BD. More relaxed than last month and itching not so bad this time which helps. Had a near crises though. Did OPK from day 12 and then went away for weekend and forgot to take one with me. Did test sat morning and didn't test until sun night. It was neg so tried mon and tues and neg. THought i may have missed it over weekend or worse, i am not ovulating every month. For some reason decided to do OPK today and pos line, so need more BD. So glad i did it as we bd fri-tues and if idon't ovulate until sat it would have been useless from that long ago. So my DH thinks he had died and gone to heaven. today , tom and maybe sat. Also read antihistamine dries up the cerical mucus so cam off last fri thinking i would ovyulate over weekend, as i havn't ovulated they are definately out of my system. Also been drinking grapefruit juice which i got off antother link. so on CD19 now which means i must ovulate on cd20/21. Quite late isn't it?

LJ29 and Queen, hang in there, the wait is enarly over xx

QueenFee · 23/10/2008 20:34

i'm still lurking
I am ttc no 3 and on cd 23 i have DD 4.3 and DS 2.2
just trying to work out when I can test?
got +tve results 3 days prior to AF when pg with other DCs

LJ29 · 23/10/2008 20:27

I'm still here!!! I am on CD 31 but as my cycles can be anywhere between 28-40 days really not sure when AF is due. I had a BFN on Monday but know that it was too early. Really trying to convince myself that I'm not PG. Thrush has cleared up now which is good. Boobs a bit sore but had this last month. Only other symptom which is a bit embarassing is that I keep burping quite a lot!!!!

insywinsyspider · 23/10/2008 19:51

it doesn't count but I'm still checking up on you guys
how are you doing spats?

spats · 23/10/2008 15:00

is anyone still on this thread?

spats · 19/10/2008 16:53

i have just realisd i have been using wrong terminology. i thought # was the number of months you have been trying but now i think its the number of child you are ttc!! I am not trying for 4th child, this is 4th month of trying -hee hee

madmarriedNika · 19/10/2008 12:01

Hello all, not been on here for a while in a bi not to obsess this month

Insy- huge congrats!!

LJ29- me too- have just also posted on the ue in July thread but I've also got mild thrush, and think I also had it last month so sadly for me this seems to happen in the week before AF But like you said it's sometimes caused by hormonal changes which could also occur in early pregnancy- so here's hoping! Unfortunately I am also getting some spots (which I never used to get, only this past 3 months since coming off the pill....was b'feeding DD before that so it has admittedly been 2 years since my last "normal" periods, though even then don't recall getting spots- I have very dry skin so it's strange....)- which seem to happen now in the week before AF so not getting my hopes up too much this month
However, we did manage to BD more this month so maybe have a glimmer of hope. I'm on CD21 now, last month was a weird one as AF arrived 4 days early (CD24) so not sure what'll happen this month- trying to resist testing until next Fri earliest so save money on tests.... In a way it'll be a relief if AF does come early again...

Good luck all

scully · 19/10/2008 07:25

Hi ladies, congrats Insy I'm on cd13, so having to motivate dh for the next few days Seem to know of a ridiculous number of people pregnant right now, we're ttc#3 after 2 m/c in the past 14mths.
But for now I'm enjoying a sunny Sunday afternoon in Brisbane, with a glass of Moet

LJ29 · 18/10/2008 14:26

Tell me about it! I've googled it and there are quite a lot of articles saying that it can be a sypmtom because of the huge hormonal changes but also found some others that say it can happen before AF so trying really hard not to get my hopes up. I am on day 26 or 27 but have erratic cycles so not actually sure when AF is due. I am holding out on testing as I spent a fortune last month only to be disappointed.

spats · 18/10/2008 14:19

never heard of it being 1 sorry. One thing you could do without when fretting in the 2ww.

LJ29 · 18/10/2008 13:36

Hi, does anyone know if thrush can be an early pg symptom?

spats · 18/10/2008 11:17

any news from this blog? I have brought opk for next week. We are going to London for weekend so will time it nicely (hopefully) with ovulation and BD. I am ttc#4 CD7 and 27/28 day cycle. This is a smallet thread and can keep track of people. Other ones i am on as i haven't been on all week, i have lost what is going on, so many names. can't believe there are so many women around trying to conceive, its so weird. Is this website national or just GB?

jellylegs · 16/10/2008 14:16

Sorry to Spats....I will know next week but have negative feeling... Also have 2nd appointment with clinic. I'm going to drink straight grapefruit juice, after reading on other blog that it works when TTC. I'll try anything!!!
Good luck girls.

Ilovebeingamummy · 15/10/2008 20:14

Oh help LJ29 thats awful. Thankfully my 'do it together' friend from last pg has moved away with her bump...I miss her but not the pressure

Start of af is proper flow btw. I wonder if i am the only one who does spotting?? Never, not in any af, nor mc. Eithe rblood or no blood. Odd??

Fingers crossed this may be your month LJ29...maybe mine too? If not it won;t be for the lack of bd-ing...!

I am now CD19 so you're slightly ahead - will be hoping for you - and you spats for next month - i saw you've had a hard time xx

LJ29 · 15/10/2008 16:44

Hi Ilovebeingamummy, I'mn still here and still on the 2 ww. I think I am on CD 23/24 (not sure when you class the start of AF from - spotting or proper flow). Trying really hard to convince myself that I'm not and making plans for next month. Really hard tho when best friend announces that she's pregnant and 'wouldn't it be nice to do it together'!!

spats · 15/10/2008 15:12

unfortunatley i am still on this thread cd4 for me. Will be with you through it all xx

Ilovebeingamummy · 15/10/2008 13:22

Hi all....well I am thinking (if everything is back to normal after mc which going on ewcm i think it might be)...that I am now in the horror of the 2ww....but I have learnt my lesson last month and am strictly not obsessing. No NO No. No HPTs for me and no symptom spotting...yeah right. How long is this going to last??

CONGRATS Insy a BFP

Hope there are others still ttc no.3 here to keep me sane...?? xx

insywinsyspider · 14/10/2008 19:54

I think I believe the test now, good luck to everyone and thanks for your support this last month x x

insywinsyspider · 12/10/2008 20:51

I'm still not sure what to make of my test, I went away for the weekend, the boys were with my mum and dad so we saw friends who I wouldn't tell this early on so I just tried to forget about it, didn't take temp or do test so I don't know if I dreamt it but no af yet so will check again in am....

spats - I'm very aware how even someone posting on here they could be pg when your af arrives only adds to how unfair it feels, I'm sorry this wasn't your month x x
