Well hello everybody and congratulations Funtime!!! at lovely news. I haven't has much to report in the last few days apart from what appears to be a never ending AF (CD7 today) so was really happy to see that.

Jools is right this thread has a distinctly positive vibe at the mo. Welcome to villagemum and whitebeaches (although *whitebeaches it sounds like you may be a brief visitor ). You'll find this is a very good home if you are having ups and downs. It sounds like you have a lovely dh and have resolved any wobbles for the time being!

lovelymonster I am sorry to hear you have been put through the wringer. I can only hope things progress more happily for you.

Well I had a really vivid dream this morning that at test I did came up BFP so I have a feeling that this is our month. I have got much more of a grip on my cycle now so will be leaping on dh soon!

Will update list with my dates also.

Virtual babydust to all x

Heeby, just a postscript - DH and I had a fantastic talk tonight about the whole issue and I now really feel that the pressure to ttc immediately is off. Didn't realise how much pressure I'd been putting on myself, TBH. Think I may take this cycle to sort my head out and get some of my old, less neurotic self back! But either way I feel better about it, so thanks for giving me the space to vent; it's made SUCH a difference. x

VillageMum · 20/10/2008 22:17

Oh Heeby thanks for this lovely message - you make me feel nearly sane again! I'm so glad (if you know what I mean) that I'm not the only one who has had these wobbles - wouldn't wish them on anyone else but it's reassuring to know I'm not alone! You're right: I can't plan my life around that wedding, and ten to one even if I did get pg this cycle the baby wouldn't arrive on time either (ds was 3 weeks early!) My main worry is needing/wanting to be available for ds if he suddenly threw a wobbly about going next year - but I guess the actual stress will come earlier, in negotiating that between him and my ex. And by the time the damn wedding came around, giving birth might actually be a welcome diversion, as you say... I should actually just be bloody thankful if I do get pg again and have a successful pregnancy, TBH! Will try to think of it that way! Thanks a million again. Holding thumbs for you...

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 21:48

pps - i forgot to say i have a bit more pain tonight just after BDing!!! perfect timing i hope!!!

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 21:46

ps C1NDY nelix is the one to answer your question on CM, i didn't have much and when i concieved in May i didn't have hardly anything but it still worked. I think if you think it's the right time then go for it and keep the reserves up in case the CM doesn't keep the lil swimmers fed well!

Off to bed now ladies, will check in again tomorrow. lots of luck and sweet dreams xx

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 21:44

Hi ladies,

Lovelymonster i feel very sad for you, what an awful time for you both. Like you say maybe it is a blessing in a way to know that everything is working and at least you will keep moving forward with your fertility investigations so that will be encouraging. Lots of ((((hugs))) to you honey.

village hi honey, i'm sorry you are feeling blue, if it helps i felt the same, we had an early MC then tried almost straight away but little did i know that i had a cyst forming which made me feel terible and messed up my cycles ( as well as giving me awful symptoms - the other ladies will testify how terrible i was!!) and i had lots of wobbles, one day i would be all for it the next i'd want to give up and stick with our DD. It's a confsing time and i think you have to try and take things as they come for a while, follow your heart and do what feels right. Don't think about the wedding, you can't plan your life around it, and giving birth might take your mind off it (and upstage his wedding!!)

nelix thank you, i took your advice and pounced! will up the stores tomorrow too then might have to give him a rest as he's quite poorly and tired, poor thing!

VillageMum · 20/10/2008 15:17

LovelyMonster, I'm so sorry to read what's happened - this puts all my worries into perspective! You sound so positive and strong - you're a real inspiration. ((Hugs))

LovelyMonster · 20/10/2008 15:13

Hi ladies.

Congrats to all new bfp's. Hope that the little beans stick.

Some bad news from me. I started some spotting yesterday afternoon which has contined. Went for a scan this morning and pregnancy is no longer .

Feel quite drained and obviously disappointed but not devistated as I know all along that something was not quite right, We are looking at the positive side of what has been such a emotionally draining week (at the same time having reletives staying), and feel like this is a good sign as we did actually get pregnant and all the 'bits' are working. Although one of my overies did look slightly polycystic but not enopugh so to be concerned.

We have been given the backing by the consultant to continue with our fertility investigations that were supposed to happen this month! I was worried that if I told the gp I had concieved that these would be cancelled.

I am really glad that I now know exactly what has happened and not in limbo anymore. we are really looking forward to getting back to normal and starting again!!! Thanks for all the messages of support!!!

Good luck to everyone this month!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nelix2000 · 20/10/2008 15:04

heeby well I had ov pain at about 7pm, so dp had to go collect the goods....so about 2 hours....dont worry tho the egg is viable for 24+ hours so loads of time.....if i were you do it once when he gets in and as often as he can lol! it only takes one and it sounds so well timed!!!

Thanks Cindy, I'm actually getting myself in a knot about the projected due date for a sprog conceived this cycle, as the birth would fall around the time of a fairly stressful event - my ex husband is getting remarried in what would be the very same week next year, and my ds will be expected to go to the wedding - some issues around that as he's not always keen to stay overnight with dad. So I think: would I really want to cope with all of that plus giving birth in the same week (assuming, of course, that this baby arrived on the due date?!) On the other hand, should I put ttc again on hold this cycle because of it? Aaaargh, I think I am driving myself nuts!

C1NDY · 20/10/2008 14:29

VillageMum cheerup honey, its really sad to have a MC and I know how you are feeling. Don't be afraid, just think of the bfp. Are you afraid of mc again? if you are then don't... think positive thoughts hugs

C1NDY · 20/10/2008 14:25

SmileyCat Have gone and done an internal examination and I have watery but stretchy CM which I believe must be a good sign - so bding tonite!!

VillageMum · 20/10/2008 14:12

Cindy thanks for replying - I'm feeling quite low about it all, suddenly, which is not like me at all. I've been on a real high ever since I finally ovulated again two weeks ago - we sat out that cycle so that I could have a first proper AF, but now that the time is here I find myself feeling afraid. Hmmmm... Maybe I'll feel differently in a few days!

C1NDY · 20/10/2008 14:04

Smileycat thanks. I am trying to do the observations of the CM but am not good at collecting what I am meant to be collecting. I did a test I think it was on Saturday and it was a tiny bit of CM but it stretched a little I guess. Then on Sunday the OPK went positive but I haven't had much luck with the CM thingy. I'll keep practising!!

VillageMum I had a MC in Sept and goush I know exactly how you feel. I just wanted to jump back on the pgWagon hence all my questions. You will feel strange about trying again, but for me it was my way of moving on.

Pinkie sorry can't help, I am new to all of this, but have know of people getting mid cycle bleeds not sure if you are ovulating.

pinkie08 · 20/10/2008 13:53

Hi C1ndy Smileycat

CD11 for me and when checking for ewcm found mid cycle bleed - just spotting.

Rang the consultant and got told not to worry am still waiting for +ive from the OPK, is the bleed a sign of ovualtion.

Baby dust to all

VillageMum · 20/10/2008 13:52

cindy, heeby, smiley, good luck!!

Tell me, am I going crazy? Still only on cd3 but suddenly find myself having a wobble about getting pg again this month - after talking so much about when we'll start ttc after the mc we had in September it suddenly seems real now. Is this normal?! [confused emoticon!]

smileycat · 20/10/2008 13:03

C1ndy if you don't see any CM when you wipe if you are ok about doing an internal yourself they say that you insert two fingers & press gently on the cervix & collect whats there to examine, but if you OPK says your positive I would take it as a good sign even without the CM
I'm not using the OPK just yet, I will do after this month if I don't have a BFP, just started recording by BBT in the morning to see when & if I OV'd & trying to detect it with CM to pinpoint BDing at the right time

C1NDY · 20/10/2008 12:49

Heeby my OPK say I am positive but I have no stretchy CM, does that mean I may not have ovalated yet? sorry for so many questions but there is so much to learn!

WanabeMum · 20/10/2008 12:36

Hello!!!!!
Wow a lot has happened since i last looked (been so hectic in work i've practically just been passing out when i get home).

CONGRATULATIONS funtime !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's fantastic news

Ooh ladies this could be a good month!!

Welcome to the newcomers, the more the merrier!

I'm only CD6 today so not quite at the BD stage but will definately take a leaf out of Heeby's book!! Good luck.

And ladies i hope you all post your scan pics, would be lovely!!!!

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 12:15

c1ndy meant to say ... thank you for the baby dust, lets hope it works for us all this month x

Heebychick · 20/10/2008 12:14

smiley That's sooo weird and very exciting! i thought exactly the same as you as we did BD last nite and that was my first thought but like you i did the stretch test and it went quite far, (TMI do you think?!) Anyway yes i shall pounce on DH as soon as he gets in and we're able to (Cbeebies will be doing a spot of baby sitting for DD that's for sure!)
let me know what your opk says in the morning and yes i'd cover all bases and grab him tonight too! just to make sure!

I hope that we're not relying on last nite TBH as we were in the wrong 'position' if you know what i mean, but hey lets hope it works anyway.

No more pains here and only a little EWCM so will keep drinking and waiting for teatime - off to see a friend in a mo so that'll stop me obsessing.

hi simple good to see you back and good luck for tomorrow, let us know won't you? do you think the opk has helped focus you a bit?

simpletwistoffate · 20/10/2008 11:56

Hi all,

Haven't been around all month. Realised after last month that I was completely obsessed, and needed to take a step back

Anyway, have been away on holidays, and now a lot less stressed. Bought and used opk's from internet, and have done the deed as much as possible without stressing dh out! Also, my sister and friend both annouced their pregnancies, so I deffo think I became completely too focussed on every single twinge...

I also think my cycle has lenghtened a couple of days since dd, so focussing on a 30 day cycle. Which actually means I'm a day late today. Don't think I have any of the symptoms I thought I had last month, but will wait another day anyway before testing.

Jools, Nelix, Sparky and Funtime hope you are all keeping well, and good luck to everyone else.

smileycat · 20/10/2008 11:55

heeby you would never guess what?, I've just done exactly the same as you & went for a wee & found EWCM although we did BD last night so hoping I've not mistaken it for the other stuff , but did the stretchy test & it stretched a good way. I'll check again later & have DH on standby tonight just incase, if my temp takes a flying leap tomorrow morn I guess it means I've OV'd & hopfully caught her on the way down

C1NDY · 20/10/2008 11:08

and to all of you ~~~~~~*

C1NDY · 20/10/2008 11:07

Heeby.. good luck, I think you have the right symptons for a bfp - here's some babydust floating your way ~~~~~~~~~~~~
