Gaaaahhh - feels like I am having OV pain now - on CD9 !! Hope I am wrong, otherwise I've missed the boat on this month Will get busy tonight, just in case

Heeby -for a while, I was staying in that hotel for one night every week Haven't been there for a few weeks, but it looks like it might be once a fortnight from now on - so relaxing, a real tonic for a busy work day

SparkyMalarky · 29/08/2008 18:30

Ooooh I hope I bring lots of baby dust otherwise, I'll be the first on a 'june babies are lovely too' thread!!

Heebychick · 29/08/2008 13:57

Oh dear wannabe get your diaries out now girl!

Well my DD has had a very long morning nap, 2 hours already and i'm wondering if she's going to fit lunch in at this rate!

I'm off for that coffee (whats the betting she wakes up now, tee hee )x

WanabeMum · 29/08/2008 13:42

Ooh heeby that sounds like a plan. the "Due in May" thread!! Fingers crossed for us all.

Yea jools your hotel does sound lovely, i'd love a country retreat paid for by work!! Fabulous.

Oh an yellow i'm hoping to make a baby this week/weekend too, the only problem is me and DH are like ships that pass in the night at the moment. He's working tomorrow morning and I'm afternoons, he's working Sunday morning and I'm out Sunday with the girls. Oh dear! Better allocate some "us" time, how romantic!

Heebychick · 29/08/2008 13:08

Hi ladies,

Looks like sparky will be first! eek! very exciting, wouldn't it be lovely to transform this thread into a 'we are due in may'thread! the pregnant gang. Lets hope do for all of us hey.

I still don't have EWCM yet, have had a bit of CM so have kept busy (although not since tues night!) must grab DH tonight!

So nelix we are in the same boat! 18 months is a lovely age but it can be testing huh, my DD is full of chatter (most of which we dont understand!) and she is going through a real clingy stage which is quite tough (but very cute too)

jools your hotel sounds lovely! do you get to go there often?

Mylittlebubble · 29/08/2008 11:26

i'm hoping to make a baby this weekend. dh has been ill but he feels better now. have lots of very wet cm though not ewcm yet (tmi?)

Jools1 · 29/08/2008 08:44

Morning all - busy little thread last night

I stayed away with work in my favourite hotel - makes work feel more like a mini-break than work, it is that nice - a little, enormously friendly, country house hotel in the middle of nowhere - beautifully quiet and fabulous food. I was good and had fresh fruit salad this morning, with lashings of fresh grapefruit of course [wink}

Looks like the GF is working and am starting to notice a little EWCM, so tonight will be busy !!!

Wanabemum - patience has never been my strong point so I know what you mean ! - this is my 3rd month TTC, and probably the first in which I've had a real idea of fertility signs etc, so I'm feeling positive

nelix2000 · 29/08/2008 08:08

heeby my DS is 18 months as well, he is getting good at throwing himself on the sofa in a tantrum now too!

Hey bubble, be as excited as you want, thats what the internet is for!....we can say things to strangers we would enver say in RL...and its fab venting/discussing on here! With regard to CM I am not sure what you mean, as CM is present and ever-changing throughout the cycle, do you already think you are pregnat? if so when are you testing?oooh hwo exciting!.....

Who else is waiting to test? and who is waiting to BD?or insem in our case makingafamily{wink]

Heebychick · 28/08/2008 22:36

Hi bubble welcome to our cosy hideaway where we are all addicts of the grapefruit (it deserves it's own accronym now surely? GF??) anyhow yes and all seem to be going through the same things at the same time, it's a lovely cosy family.

My CM lasts for one day usually, i used to have more when i was on the pill (for other reasons presumably) Is your CM happening around the same time as OV time? I only get it at the time i OV, mind you my cycles have been weird since MC so i'm not paying too much attention to anything now!! (glass half full i promise!)

Mylittlebubble · 28/08/2008 22:16

Hi Girls. This maybe a bit personal, although I'm not sure those rules apply on here going by the conversations already had!! How long does your CM last for during a cycle? Mine has been around for over a week now. I don't want to get too excited but I am having growing pains!!, got a liking for milk again (as in last preg) and have a very sensitive smell! Probably all in my head as i'm so excited about the whole thing

Heebychick · 28/08/2008 21:52

Good evening ladies, am sat watching The Wedding Date which is great chick flick material!

Hi sparky yes i do live in the south east but not london where the expensive places are! I'm going to wait i think, it's only just over 2 weeks and unless i have worst symptoms i will try and put it out of my mind and wait. after all whats a few more weeks on a few months of sickness!

nelix OMG!!! what a nice ex partner you have! NOT. i guess sometimes people just keep on shocking you, but then of course if that hadn't happened you'd never have met your DP and be having another baby soon! So you should thank her really! How old is your DS, i can't remember if you said before? my DD is 18 months and already we are seeing a glimpse of that terrible two phase!

Hi funtime & Wannabe glad you are enjoying (!) the grapefruit juice, i still don't have any cm really but will keep going with the juice.

WanabeMum · 28/08/2008 20:36

hey sparky don't be too hard on yourself, you never know what's around the corner. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP for you Keep positive!

Reading some of your entries puts my irregular cycles in perspective. I've had negative tests for hormone deficiencies and PCOS so am relatively lucky I guess. It's just me being very impatient that's causing the problem.
Oh and bought Grapefruit juice today ....... yuk!! thanks again ladies for the tip

I'll try anything though. my mate is about to burst, due date 6th Sept so everyone is cooing over her and so i am although i am very excited about it too

Keep going ladies, one of us is bound to be lucky soon right? the power of positive thought eh?

WanabeMum · 28/08/2008 20:25

ha ha, ok now i'm a bit more clued up!
thanks ladies

funtimewincies · 28/08/2008 20:18

Baby dancing - i.e. sex, nookie, the dreadful deed or (when you've been trying for too long) the last of a list of jobs before you go to bed .

SparkyMalarky · 28/08/2008 20:16

Wanabe I think BD is baby-dancing....you might also see DTD (doing the deed) and GOTF (or something like that)? But I have no idea what that is!!

SparkyMalarky · 28/08/2008 20:15

Hello lovely ladies....so much to take in

makingafamily - poor you; so rubbish to be left with a tiny piece of (potentially awful) info But...have several friends with full blown PCOS (which is doesn't sound you have at all) and they all have DC!! Most conceived naturally too so don't worry yet. Sounds like you have a fab GP (and friends!) too Have also laughed (a lot) at the yogurt pot and raised ass !! So don't give up hope yet!! (PS - when I got PG with DS, had no idea about CM and never managed to get a positive OPK and still got knocked up on the first month!! - when are you due to test?)

nelix - firstly am shocked at ex DP! Given the thought and planning that you need to go thru before having a DC (no teenage one night stands for you!) can't believe you were left on your own that PG! Anyway - new DP sounds fabulous - what a great family you have :O

heeby - £75 sounds good value (am guessing you don't live in the South East like me!!) have you come to any decisions?

Totally agree on the 'legs on the wall' issue. Last time I got pg, DH was passing me a pillow to prop under my bum for 20 minutes! Sort of stops the romance doesn't it?! Personally, I love arguing about whether or not to have sex....being too tired/stressed/grumpy always seems to come up at the worst time . Makingafamily and nelix I assume your donors don't get any option ? They have to feel up to it!!

And I've realised I won't be able to test early as have a house full of visitors next week (won't be able to hide not having a glass of wine if I know I'm PG), so looks like I'll just be waiting for AF to come (just in time for a w/e away ) Who am I kidding....I'll just be testing 2 days early and then cursing the BFN that I'm sure is coming!!

xx

WanabeMum · 28/08/2008 19:56

OMG funtime I had to laugh at the wanting a poo bit! hadn't even thought of that. Well you've certainly openned my eyes!

And must say the "yoghurt potting" bit is very funny!! Made me smile anyway.

Hope you have a lovely weekend becky and i'm sure your DH doesn't need reminding about why he found you sexy! enjoy it though

Another naive query ........ BD-ing??? think i know but not sure

funtimewincies · 28/08/2008 19:30

Thanks nelix, it's lovely that your DP has such a great relationship with your DS . Fingers crossed for you both this month.

funtimewincies · 28/08/2008 19:27

Thanks for clearing that up makingafamily .

I too am off on holiday soon, hoping that it'll make make the 2ww fly by .

Becky do you have any children already? I'm only asking as once he's seen you in childbirth there's no going back!

My poor dh had to endure me red-faced screaming 'I need a poooooooooo', to which the midwife calmed replied, "no dear, that's it's head". I was also yelling "it's stuck, it's stuck" . Not to put you off before you've even started...

And he still says that he finds me gorgeous, although that might be more to do with my cooking .

nelix2000 · 28/08/2008 19:21

makingafamily so sorry about your news, but there is a positive in it all!....don't stress about it....., my partner has it but she has it quite bad, ie her overies erupt when an egg is released and she can bleed etc...not nice

funtime when I met my now partner my DS was 6 months old, he was conceived in a 4 year relationship with my ex partner who (when i was 4 weeks before my due date) decided it was all to much and left! the joy of non biological parents! but as it turns out my new wonderful DP cannot wait to adopt DS or make our next one, but as she has PCOS, a good job etc it makes health/financial sense for me to be the one to do it again. Being that when she met me I was a single parent and a student. So it works well for us, I can be a stay at home mum and do my degree, she works, and then I will work once I qualify

Heebychick · 28/08/2008 16:10

Hi all, great to have your input, i have debated lots about the private scan option, i have private health cover at work so when diagnosed i will then use this i expect, and it looks like our local private clinic offer pelvic scans for £75 which is do-able?? hmm. it is only just over 2 weeks, but i'm quite impatient and worried to say the least!

I had to giggle too at the yoghurt potting (my naive imagination runs wild now!)

becky my Dh and yours must have been through the same recently, we've been in all those situations too and it would be nice to just have an 'early night' without the 'is it right, legs on the wall fuss' sigh.

This is a great thread by the way and such a big part of my life now x

BeckyMcG · 28/08/2008 15:23

Am thinking of you makingafamily and hope you have a good weekend and feel a bit better emotionally (and pysically) after it.....xx

BeckyMcG · 28/08/2008 15:22

ha ha......that made me laugh!
It's so good to share all this. All of us have different challenges / issues / embarassing stories and it definitely makes you feel better to share them. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm off to Ireland and will be (attempting) to don some sexy undies and have some non BD nookie - remind DH why he found me sexy in the first place (hopefully). Most recent images of me naked with legs against wall and then sobbing over MC and complaining of cramps have not bee ideal. Think we need the romance back. see you next week ladies.......looking forward to any updates.
