I'm crap! Meant Jools very funny!!

Mylittlebubble · 04/09/2008 20:56

Hi Girls

Heeby I know the wait must be frustrating but no news is good news and they didn't find anything straight away. My friend had a scan for PCO and was told there and then that she had lots of cysts! She then concieved two months later and now has two beautiful children

Today I have had really bad period pains, almost crippling!! I don't think we have done it this month as am sure this is a sure sign Af is on it's way

Jools [grin[ very funny!!

BeckyMcG · 04/09/2008 20:43

ahhhh, heeby, glad there's nothing wrong even though I know what you mean about wanting an explanation. You must be kind of relieved I'm sure.

I think it?s time for another list and have added myself since I?ve decided to test on 17th. Anyone missing??

Also, far, far tmi but I don?t think I?ve paid more attention to my knickers and what?s going on down there generally since I was a teenager!!

AbstractMouse, CD5 AF due ??
MakingaFamily, CD14, AF due ??
Deanychip??

Sparky BFP!!!!
MyLittleBubble, AF due 10th Sept
Heebychick, AF due 10th Sept
Wannabemum, AF due 12th Sept
Funtime, AF due 13 Sep
Nelix AF due 16 Sep
Jools1, AF due 17/18 Sept
Becky, testing due 17/18 Sept
Yellowflowers, AF due 19/20 Sept

As a grown woman well over 30 I?m ashamed to say before I started all of this I thought I would be able to get pregnant most of the month. I don?t know how I would have explained it if pushed ? maybe that the egg just ?hung around? for weeks I suppose??..good god .

Heebychick · 04/09/2008 20:26

Evening ladies! jools i had to laugh at the image of you, knickers round ankles, trying t run down the stairs! i wonder what the postie thought, tee hee!

nelix i totally understand what you mean about symtpom spotting, i'm not going to again, it's very hard when you build your hopes up and it's not to be, def makes you wait to do that test huh!

So an update on my scan .... well i have to wait a week but the sonographer said all looked normal!! which gives me both relief and disappointment (not sure what i wanted but maybe some justification for feeling so rotten!) so i am none the wiser, but what it does mean is i should be OVing normally! so if we got the dates right i might .... might ... might of got it right this month.

But having said this, i'd be very surprised as i have felt so yuk and have had a lot on my plate so maybe i need to empty the bucket before we can concieve? anyhow lets wait and see!

WanabeMum · 04/09/2008 17:52

me again! Jools i almost wet myself laughing at your last entry! very amusing and usually something that would have happened to me!

WanabeMum · 04/09/2008 17:51

Hey ladies,
I've decided to test on the 12th as I have booked the day off for a weekend away so seems like a good time to me. But if it's a BFN im going to test the following week because not sure where my cycle is at the moment.

Hey heeby how did it go? Hope you feel more positive now.

Welcome back Becky, glad you had a good time in Ireland but i agree about the OPK things, not sure i trust them either so not bothering.

Nelix how do you carry on as normal? I'm symptom spotting when i dont even realise it! im bloated as anything, had a headache for 2 days, mild cramps ocassionally. Although everyone in work keeps telling me i look unwell, thanks!, and im starting to convince myself it's AF brewing coz im an emotional wreck at the moment too. Was talking to my friend about a bad experience and burst into tears very unexpectedly!

nelix2000 · 04/09/2008 17:21

Welcome back becky! we should be testing around the same time

Ah heeby nope no symptom spotting for me this time round! I am carrying on as normal, as after last months bitter disappointment I am not wanting to pin all my hopes on it this time you know? so its in the back of my mind, and will stay there! lol! How did it go??

Hey ladies,
I am back from holiday today and back at work (argh). Could central London be any less like rural Ireland?? One of the first things I did this morning was check this thread and am so so pleased to see good news Sparky ? hurray, I knew between us all some good news was on its way!
Thinking of you this afternoon Heeby and will check the thread later to see how you got on with the scan.

My update is just as confusing as ever ? I decided to use OPK every day on holiday (as I am clearly a control freak) with confusing responses ? Sat and Sun negative, Monday appeared obviously positive, Tuesday negative again and Wednesday again obviously positive ? bizarre I now do not trust these at all. Didn?t tell DH what I was up to as didn?t really want to discuss this topic any further for a while and wanted to have a romantic break. By the nature of the hols ? in a rainy cottage in Ireland there was lots of food, wine and BD anyway so you never know your luck.
I have decided to test on 17th as I?m going on a girls break to Spain and don?t want to drink if there?s any chance I could be positive. This would be 2 weeks after potential positive OPK anyway so seems timing is about right but after MC I don?t know what?s going on with my cycle. It would probably be best if I become regular again so AF wouldn?t be too bad I suppose? I am coming to terms with the fact I am just so impatient and control obesessed. I think when you?re used to working hard to get a successful outcome it makes this baby making so frustrating as it?s just beyond all control!!

SparkyMalarky · 04/09/2008 14:02

Am PMSL at the thought of that!!

Jools1 · 04/09/2008 14:01

Hope it all goes well Heeby and you get some answers.

I WAS up early, but had to go for my first physiotherapy appt at the hospital - I've got back problems that have prevented me sleeping through the night for quite a while now and today was the first appt after being referred mid May

Sparky - glad to see the sticks are still saying the right things

Possibly tmi but I'm working from home today and decided to try and suss out the cervix position so I can enter that on Fertility Friend aswell - picture the scene - me in my loft conversion study, cats curled up by the radiator, looking on curiously, the correct info page of Fertility Friend open in front of me and ..... well you can picture the rest yourself - then the postie knocked on the door and I nearly did myself a permanent mischief trying to rearrange my clothing and run down 2 flights of stairs !!!!!

SparkyMalarky · 04/09/2008 13:44

Hey all - sorry I'm quiet; have guests staying with us so can only check in at work!!

Jools - fingers crossed hon...I don't always feel OV at all. In fact, if I did, I never noticed before my MC.

Heeby - good luck this afternoon, do you know if you'll get some answers today, or will they do a report for the docs? Do you see a doctor as well today?

Is everyone on the 2ww now? Nelix how are you doing? Wanabe have you set a deadline for testing?!

Still ok at my end....although am now obsessing about tests! Had to do another one today, and have decided that conception indicator thing is a BAD idea! Although was v pleased to see that my indicator has moved up a level which I'm guessing is showing the hormones are increasing....which can surely only be a good sign? Panic, panic, panic. And still no other real symptoms.....

Heebychick · 04/09/2008 13:15

Hello!

I came on here this morning quickly but saw that you were all still sleepin so thought i'd check in now.

Off for the scan later, feel in 2 minds about it, had a lot of pain in my right side and lower back last night so am pleased not to have to wait any longer, but am nervous in case they find something weird or in fact nothing at all, then where will i be? all this sickness and pains for nowt. Anyhow i promise to come on after DD is in bed to update you all if there is anything to tell.

nelix how are you feeling today? trying not to symptom spot??

jools oh hun sorry you're having a rough time of it, but maybe like you say you haven't OV'd this month? yet or at all? i'm not that sure on the EWCM topic as didn't get much this month at all, but then i'm in a different situation than you guys i guess.

Can i just say that this is such a great thread, i feel part of a lovely close support group and it really has helped me get through some things and i'm sure will continue to do so xx

nelix2000 · 04/09/2008 13:02

yep it is VERY quiet....I wanna know how heeby gets on with her scan, so hopefully she can let us know
I guess for most of us its the waiting game now huh!......2 weeks is awfully long.....

OP posts:
WanabeMum · 04/09/2008 12:03

Hey Jools, sounds promising! maybe you will be able to plan better if it is every other month. At least you managed to conceive last time so that's something to look into more?!

Yes it is quiet on here, seems like it's only me! the last couple of entries anyway. Either busy bees or just taking a break!

Jools1 · 04/09/2008 11:20

Morning all !

Very quiet in here at the mo - everyone happy BD'ing I guess I hope all is well...

Last night was a non-starter for me aswell - DP was in a foul mood and decided to watch a film till after midnight so I had to give up and go to bed

This has been the first cycle where I've looked for EWCM and I seem to have had it for a long time, so am wondering if I misinterpreted what I was seeing on Fri / Sat as I'm sure you shouldn't normally get EWCM for more than 5 days, at age 38 !!

No OV pains yet, so hopefully I'm still in with a chance. I developed a theory last night actually - last cycle, and two cycles before that, I felt and recorded OV on CD 15 or 16. Every other cycle, it is beginning to look as if I don't feel it at all ? So, do I only feel the egg coming out of one side I wonder ?

Makes me a little hopeful, as 2 cycles ago, we only BD'd once on CD15 and I at least conceived (BFP 4 days early, followed by a really heavy "AF" 2 days before she was really due) Maybe that is my lucky side !

WanabeMum · 03/09/2008 13:40

Speaking of weird and vivid dreams heeby, i dreamt on the weekend that I was trying to breastfeed my baby but she wouldn't suck! how scary is that? The only thing was i couldn't see her face. weird! but to be expected seems as it is on the brain 24/7!

Mylittlebubble · 03/09/2008 13:35

AbstractMouse, CD5 AF due ??
MakingaFamily, CD14, AF due ??
Deanychip??

Sparky BFP!!!!
MyLittleBubble, AF due 10th Sept?
Heebychick, AF due 10th Sept
Funtime, AF due 13 Sep
Jools1, AF due 17/18 Sept
Yellowflowers, AF due 19/20 Sept
Nelix AF due 16 sep (ish)

WanabeMum · 03/09/2008 13:20

Hey Nelix, i was thinking i would do that, which would be around the 10th. Thats more bearable!!
I'm sure you are the devil's advocate! Maybe you will be another BFP this month? Will be fastly approaching the "due in May" thread

I'm so excited but nervous at the same time because if i get a BFN this time i really don't know what i will do. I honestly cant do anything any better. We have been TTC every night (young stamina! TMI ) and i've been eating properly, staying away from alcohol as much as possible, taking folic acid and even drinking bloody grapefruit juice lol so i know im going to be devastated if it's BFN . Oh dear, dilema!

nelix2000 · 03/09/2008 13:15

Oh heeby a dream like that is probably to be expected given everything.....its that human thing called Hope and we can't shake it! I have random dreams all the time lol!

wanabe when do you think you will test? can you not logically test right in the middle of when you think AF is due?.....the 15ths is awfully far away and another BFP would be fab!!!!!I am totally the devils advocate

OP posts:
WanabeMum · 03/09/2008 13:02

Hey Heeby im not sure i can wait until the 15th!! don't worry about your scan it'll be the answers you need and you can plan from there. you never know, this month may be the month for you anyway

Nelix im very impressed at how well you know your body! i'd never know that much about my body.

Oh how hard is the 2ww???!!!
im so impatient.

Heebychick · 03/09/2008 12:05

Hi all, jools i think you will be still be in with a chance tonight, we fell aslweep at our optimum time this month too but made up for it the next nite, Nelix is right the egg lives for a while so you will have chance to get those swimmers on their journey!
And i totally agree 39 is not a barrier, my good friend had her DC4 at 39 and her DH is over 40.

nelix what a lovely evening, i'm so impressed at how in tune you are with your body, and like you say it'll be a good indication for next time (but lets hope you don't need a next time!)

I am feeling excited and nervous about tomorrow's scan. I had a dream last night that the sonographer told me that she found a baby when she looked in my tummy! weird!

nelix2000 · 03/09/2008 10:05

Hey jools even once you ov the egg lives for 48 hours so you still have loads of time!
Today being a parent at 39 is no barrier, we are younger physically than we have ever been in history and more and more women are waitng becuse they can not because they have to do it before they hit 30....your body is designed to do this and it will happen

OP posts:
Jools1 · 03/09/2008 09:46

Morning all

Glad you had a lovely evening Nelix What perfect timing, I am very impressed

I wanted to jump on DP last night, but we both fell asleep - a bit angry with myself as I don't think I have Ov'ed yet, but should do later today or tomorrow so the timing would have been good - have to try harder tonight !

I've just had a chat with a (younger) colleague of mine who is just back from maternity leave this week - she conceived within a week of deciding to try and is about to try for her second. Was nice to chat, but it made me a bit sad - at nearly 39, with a DP of 42, I'm not sure if I've left it too late ...

nelix2000 · 03/09/2008 09:28

Good morning ladies we had a fabulous night, with dark chocolate and cherries and music and....... well......it was good! AND when DP was on her way home with the metaphorical yogurt pot(we dont use them as they have to large a surface area and more sperm dies)....I digress....when she was driving home I had OV pain! hows that for timing!.....Before DS I was like you makingafamilyi would OV anywhere between day 19-23, but now it seems I OV day 17! but I obviously still only get EWCM for a matter of hours before I do OV so it was pure good timing on out part.

So are we all on the 2WW now?or is anyone still waiting to def OV??

Wow I am so happy I can relax now, no more waiting for my body! I get two weeks to chill and maybe be pregnant! if not I have learned some more about my body this month to make it easier next month! And to be honest if we get pregnant after one insem it will be very very lucky! lol!

sparky I am still delighted for you, its so nice to have some good happy news....so come on girls lets get baby making!
