Hi, back today and so chuffed to hear the fabulous news Sparky, congratulations ! I've just yelled to dh that 'one of us has had a positive' and received the the 'oh, lovely' of one who just doesn't get it .

Heeby - pleased to hear that there is nothing obviously nasty in there, although it doesn't necessarily help.

Holiday was fab. It rained a lot, but as ds (21 months) thinks that splahing in muddy puddles is the most fun anyone can have, it was a hit. Although we did have to tip water out of his wellies and wring his socks out on one occasion, not having realised for most of the walk that it had all gone over the tops - bad mummy .

Symptom spotting-wise, nothing exciting to report. If I'm not this month then it'll be right side next month and so not a decent chance until the end of October!

Heebychick · 06/09/2008 18:21

jools i have done exactly the same thing, i relax (kind of ) until 6 DPO which was when i spotted my nausea and sore boobs with last PG. But of course this time it's a case of spotting the disappeared symptom or spotting the different symptom!!

But i have been having small cramps in my tummy this week, not had those before (except when PG) although not reading much into it. Still have 5 days to go and not holding out much hope.

nelix glad you were able to get out and enjoy some quality time, my DH loves kite flying but the first time we took his new flashy one out on to the forest we took the dog as well and he just kept running after it and ragging it when it plumeted to the ground! as you can imagine the poor kite didn't make another outing.

makingafamily excellent news about the CM, that makes me feel better too! will not worry about that next cycle then! Any more good tips from the book?

Well i shall bid you a nice weekend ladies, X factor is on tonight!! so DD is having bath now with DH whilst i pour a non alcoholic drink and munch on snacks! yum!

xxx

Good Morning

Well I think I am in the same boat as you Nelix - am pretty sure that OV was Thursday evening or Friday morning but have been seeing a bit of EWCM yesterday and today, so am glad to read your post makingafamily Heeby - OV pain has gone (although I'm in pain from a killer legs bums and tums class at the gym this morning !) I generally find I can avoid symptom spotting for the first few days of the 2WW and only get obsessed from around 6DPO, but did get a bit surprised last night when my nose started literally streaming !

makingafamily · 06/09/2008 11:32

Morning all

Nelix i had loads of CM yesterday and was thinking the same as you. In the week i ordered a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility had a read last night and it says that after ovulation there is a second surge of oestrogen which occasionally causes a day or two of creamy/sticky cervical fluid. so fingers crossed thats whats happened to both of us

Have a fab weekend all

nelix2000 · 06/09/2008 09:45

good morning ladies!......thanks for the hug heeby much appreciated

we are off kite flying today, to take both our minds off it, DP was as disappointed as I was/am but there is still an outside chance. I def had FM on tuesday so if I had not ovulated then at least the swimmers would be right at the door waiting! xxx

Hi jools .. ah that's what i thought, i've been counting it as that but glad you've confirmed it, it makes sense huh.

How are you feeling ?

Jools1 · 05/09/2008 22:26

Heeby - I've asked the same question, as I always get a lot of brown a day or two before the red blood - apparently CD1 is the first day of RED and full flow, not spotting

Heebychick · 05/09/2008 20:28

Can i ask your opinion ladies .....

for the last 3 cycles (since MC) i have had a slight (sorry if TMI) brownish bleed on CD25 in the evening then nothing overnight then a full AF the next morning. So my question is, would you class the small bleed the night before as day 1 or the next full blown day as day 1?

Heebychick · 05/09/2008 20:09

Don't worry, it'll be fine, you wouldn't of had EWCM for nothing so it must of been the right time! have you had any pain yet this time? if not that must be a good sign, and why would you feel the pain if you hadn't OV'd?

Try not to think about it honey, let us know if you have any symtpoms and lets support each other through the next week or so.

xxx ((((( ))))) lots of hugs xx

nelix2000 · 05/09/2008 16:18

thats just it heeby he isnt available all weekend...it literally is a one time a month donation but its cool......x

OP posts:
Heebychick · 05/09/2008 14:43

.. if you have another cycle?? i would of thought that if you had some FM then the little swimmers should be able to survive a while AND they would have made their journey to wait at the door! so maybe it was a good thing?? is your donor available tomorrow? just to make sure?

if not we can start a 'June is a great month for starting Maternity leave' thread together! xx

nelix2000 · 05/09/2008 13:34

Hi becky....I am doing a degree in literature hence related subject exams! I am nto sure of the topics yet, I am hoping my tutor can give me a heads up tho!

I dunno heeby what if it wasnt FM on tuesday but today! the EWCM i have today is SO much stretchier! All I can hope is that the FM i had on tuesday has kept some of the lil guys alive and they reach the egg today if it hast been released yet. If not I have learned a valuable lesson! I have not had Grapefruit for 4 days now! lol I will start again on CD1 of my next cycle........

Heebychick · 05/09/2008 12:49

Hi guys, I dont know about you but i am bored with the rain already!!

nelix didn't you say in your earlier post that you might get CM a few days after OV? I have had some EWCM on and off all week! is it the same as your normal EWCM or just sticky? have you stopped the grapefruit juice? i think you were so sure it must be right, you know the pains and what to look for so i would say try to relax and don't worry.

bubble that sounds promising! good luck for tonight, get those feet up on the wall girl!

sparky hope you have a lovely weekend, hope you manage to relax and have some new mummy time!

becky in answer to your question, i am much more stressed about it this tim around, DD1 was conceived first time so i assumed i'd be the same again ... which i was but then MC and no luck ever since and as you know have been suffering with all sorts since then. So i think given the circumstances i am more uptight but yes i do know i can concieve so i know it will happen eventually, i think i'd be more relaxed about the pregnancy this time too. Although i can't remember anything about it to be honest!!

Where is everyone else? the list is quite big but no news lately??

AbstractMouse, CD5 AF due ??
MakingaFamily, CD14, AF due ??
Deanychip??

Sparky BFP!!!!
MyLittleBubble, AF due 10th Sept
Heebychick, AF due 10th Sept
Wannabemum, AF due 12th Sept
Funtime, AF due 13 Sep
Nelix AF due 16 Sep
Jools1, AF due 17/18 Sept
Becky, testing due 17/18 Sept
Yellowflowers, AF due 19/20 Sept

Mylittlebubble · 05/09/2008 12:23

WanabeMum - Your signs could be a pending BFP! I remember being an absolute bitch in my first few weeks and that is what made my best friend make me take a pregnancy test! Oh don't want to get everyone too excited thats not fair but so excited for everyone.

Becky - We are trying for our second and feel relexed at the mo. Not sure if thats because we have LO already or if its still early in the trying stakes. Ask me again in a few months if we're still TTC

WanabeMum · 05/09/2008 12:12

Hey everyone,

Heeby the results were good of your scan I see (well at least not bad). Keep positive!

I'm supposed to be going out with work tonight and im so worried about it i may not bother. Really don't want to drink, just in case.
Although i feel quite crampy today so could be AF on her way. hoping not though.
Also, my back aches today, i feel like a right moaning minnie today! sorry ladies but i can't moan at anyone else so it has to be you!

Grrr i wish i could find out now! im so impatient and feeling very emotional (another bad sign that AF could be on her way?)

BeckyMcG · 05/09/2008 11:30

Hey Nelix....what exams have you got? what are you studying?
I reckon it should be fertility - as you know so much! Although I was thinking last night how hard it must be to only have a few chances a month.

Also - one for everyone - does having one child mean that you feel more relaxed about conceiving again (as you know you can do it) or is it still as emotional?

P.S. Sparky - how u feeling?

hiya all! my body is confusing me too!....I had more EWCM today!....i dont get it and now think we may have insemed to early and my donor is not available tonight so I may have missed the boat! I know there is a small tiny chance some of the sperm are still alive in there and i was sure I felt OV pan on tuesday, but if I did then surely I should not be getting EWCM 3 days later?!?... I really feel we should have waited now and wish I had sperm on tap....oh well June is a fab month to have a baby too!!!

Mylittlebubble · 05/09/2008 09:25

Jools that is the same as me, oh I do hope my pains were OV and not AF. Not great timing I've got my mum here for the weekend!! Best get busy tonight x

SparkyMalarky · 05/09/2008 09:21

Sorry girls - just a quickie to say am off for the weekend so won't check in again til Sunday night!

Heeby - so pleased that the scan had good news (or no news at least!) Am really hoping this has been your month!!

right - have to go and do some work...

PS - Jools think you would probably count tomorrow as first DPO if you think you're OV-ing today?

Jools1 · 05/09/2008 09:05

Morning All It has been a long week - glad it is Friday at last !

Well, after predicting I wouldn't feel ovulation this month, it kicked in at around 7pm last night and has been painful all night and into this morning. I met DP in the pub for a couple to get him in the mood to be seduced !! Probably my last glass of wine for a while as I tend to go right off the thought of it on the 2 week wait.

Let the symptom spotting begin !

One question - if I've felt OV pain over 2 days, do you think that today is the first DPO or tomorrow ? AF normally arrives bang on 13 days later ...

Mylittlebubble · 05/09/2008 09:00

Hi Heeby this is only my second period since LO so not sure when due. My pains have gone and I think I am OV'ing! Well I'm not leaving it to chance and Dh has his orders for tonight

nelix2000 · 05/09/2008 08:59

oh heeyby thats bitter sweet news for you. Good that its nothing visibly serious, could it have been something as simple as a really bad bug?.....

I havent touched a drink since we decided to conceive so for 3 months.....very hard and I have wanted to lol!....I had my first cup of coffee in weeks the other day and I was up until 1am! and as a regular coffee drinker that was hardest for me but it will be all worthwhile if/when I get a BFP. I am more certain we got out timing bang on this month since my CM has returned to watery, and will go sticky again in a day or two for sure, so I know we hit my fertile time.....

Now I must go write an essay joy of joys lol....I have exams soon to!lucky me

Any good plans for the weekend???

OP posts:
Heebychick · 04/09/2008 21:48

Thanks guys, yes i am relieved, mostly with the fact that i should be able to fall PG, in theory, so this has to be good news. I guess i am a little disappointed at not having a 'cure' for my sickness and tummy pains, oh well i'm sure things will sort themselves out soon enough.

bubble you are due the same time as me, is it not to early for af pains?

Just think by next weekend we might have more BFP's!!

so everyone on the 2WW, have you all given up alcohol already? i had to think twice before pouring my diet coke!
