ps wannabe if you have a wine glass to hand at 7am when we're testing i shall be worried and mildly impressed!!

tee hee xx

Heebychick · 09/09/2008 13:48

wannabe It's not over till the AF lady sings!!! I have everything crossed for you (except legs obviously or else i'd make a bit of a mess at my desk!)

nelix bless your little angel, how good is he! don't you just wanna squeeze so tight them sometimes, they are amazing huh.

funtime i would say if you feel he is ready then go for it, do it over a few weeks and see what happens, i have heard that boys take longer and that it is a chemical thing that switches them from not ready to ready so don't beat yourself up about it. We have had the potty lying around and DD will 'sign' potty when she (or mummy or daddy for that matter) go to the toilet so i think we will just build on that. She can't take her own trousers down yet and balance hugely well when crouched so she has a way to go yet. I have a sweet book that someone lent me, i could lend it to you if you want?

nelix we will all be here for you next week, hopefully we'll all be pro's at getting BFP's!

WanabeMum · 09/09/2008 13:16

Thanks nelix. Ever the optimist!

Fridays list ...

Heeby 7am
Wannabe 8am (possibly)
Funtime time 7:30am
Makingafamily time?

funtimewincies · 09/09/2008 12:16

I'll use the first of the day, so book me in for 7.30am .

Heeby - ds is (checks ) 21 months old now. Blimey! We're trying to decide at the moment whether to bite the bullet and give the world of (plastic!) big-boy pants a whirl. He's in cloth nappies so feels when he's wet. Combined with a tantrum at every nappy change and sometimes telling us when he's gone/going it might be worth a shot. We've introduced the idea of the potty in a half-hearted way over the summer and he's been successfully a few times.

Shall I just go for it and get the 2001 carpet cleaner out or will I scar him for life because we're too early? If you read the toileting threads, anyone who even thinks about it before they're 3 is inflicting abuse .

WanabeMum · 09/09/2008 12:07

Hey ladies,

Liking the sound of the new crime fighting unit i seemed to have joined HEEBY!!

I feel rubbish today. Think my AF is on her way as have cramps and feeling flushed. Had some brown spots on the mid-morning knicker check too (haven't got time slots honest!)
Just waiting for the evil AF to arrive now looks like I'll be watching the thread with bated breath for the rest of you on friday while sobbing into my wine glass!

still trying to keep some optimism though, well sort of!

Heebychick · 09/09/2008 11:18

Fridays list ...

Heeby 7am
Wannabe 8am
Funtime time?
Makingafamily time?

Surely that is getting on to be a world record!

Heebychick · 09/09/2008 11:17

Ha ha yes we are! I am trying so hard not to think about it, my boss is back tomorrow after being away for 6 weeks so i am trying to catch up on all those 'oh i'll do that whilst he's away' things now! so hopefully that'll take my mind off it. The last 3 months have been totally spot on CD26 so will get slightly excited if no AF tomorrow!

re signing - yes DD did the same, her first words were 'more, eat, drink, hot, car, doggy and daddy and mummy of course' and these were all the first signs! She says 'more' all the time now as she loves bossing us around!

How old is your DS now?

Off to the loo again!

funtimewincies · 09/09/2008 11:03

Well done to your DD ! Sorry that you're having a yuk day too ((())).

We also did signing and, although DS just didn't bother making many signs, I'm convinced that it'd helped the clarity of his speech. His first words were ones that we signed and his speech is very clear (not advanced though, not that much of a boastful mummy ). He used to point to his teeth when they hurt.

Thinking back, he used the pain one for a little while as we went a bit overboard telling him that the raditors hurt when they were hot. We've got a couple that can't easily be controlled as they've no valve.

Lol knickerchecking! We're all going to develop cystitis if we're going to the loo so often to check our underwear and EWCM .

Heebychick · 09/09/2008 10:44

Oh no poor potatoes! you're having a yuk day all round honey aren't you... ((())) big hug for you!!

If it helps i am having a yuk day too, i've only been at work for 2 hours and already i can 'feel' the office politics starting ... grrr!

On an exciting note, my DD does sign language and this morning when i was brushing her teeth she stopped me, did the 'pain' sign and said 'hurt mummy' .... how sweet is that! (not sweet that she has teething pain tho obviously poor little mite!)

I am feeling sicky today, although i am sure it's all in my mind, i am feros ... firosio .... ferosiousl .... FEROCIOUSLY knicker checking today ... nightmare hey!

Heeby, Wannabe and Funtime Peestick Detectors!

funtimewincies · 09/09/2008 09:46

Lol pee-on-a-stick fest. Maybe if we get enough people there might be a record we could break .

Bubble - I like the sound of Heeby, Wannabe and Funtime (a firm of solicitors perhaps?)

I'm convinced today that I'm not pg and dh says that he wouldn't put any money on it, but I'll still be joining in the mass test if no AF by then. The Clearblue survey is supposed to be returned by the end of October, so I might as well use it .

And it's raining...and my Christmas potatoes have blight .

Jools1 · 09/09/2008 09:37

Hopefully I'll be raising a virtual glass of bolly to some of you on Friday then :D

Just don't let me get carried away with this pee-on-a-stick fest as I wanna join in too and it is too early

makingafamily · 09/09/2008 09:20

AF due on sunday but i might have to join you ladies and test on Friday

makingafamily · 09/09/2008 09:20

Heebychick · 09/09/2008 09:02

I feel the same as you becky i am swimming and running lots and trying to get fitter, because if i'm not PG soon i'll have no excuse for my growing waistline!

Feel ok this morning, trying not to think about it. Have some tummy cramps still and lower back pain (but have had that for ages now) and my boobs were a bit sore last nite again but nothing else to report.

Hope you all have a good day x

BeckyMcG · 09/09/2008 08:49

Good luck on Friday everyone!!!!

I will be waiting with bated breath to check the thread. Remember though ladies ? it?s not the end of the world to wait another month (just trying to look on bright side as I know what I'll be like!) I am still testing next Wednesday and then am off to Spain with my 2 best girlfriends for 5 days so will either be excited (but so cautious after last time) or will be able to drown sorrows and wait for AF. Have no symptoms and feel nothing unusual ? apart from aching lots due to new fitness class???have decided if I?m not pregnant then it would be good to be fit ? lol.

Heebychick · 08/09/2008 20:15

Yes wait and we'll be doing it all together!

Gosh i really hope we all make it to Friday now and don't get stopped by nasty AF beforehand.

How exciting .... and quite scary, there's something comforting about being this side of AF isn't there, the not knowing is still a chance!

sparky i'm so glad you are relaxed (kind of) about being PG, i hope i can take a leaf out of your book and not tell many people and just take each day as it comes, i will try and do what you are doing and take it easy and like you say, take each day as it comes.

jools not sure how to relax, but it's like having a late holiday ... everyone else has been and gone and then you can take all the glory!!

Mylittlebubble · 08/09/2008 20:02

Sorry I meant Heeby , wannabe and Funtime

Mylittlebubble · 08/09/2008 19:59

Heeby, Wannabe and Heeby - Looks like Friday is the day then
I was going to test tomorrow as it is our wedding anniversery but I am convinced it might be too early, so I'll wait to Friday and we can do a group test x

funtimewincies · 08/09/2008 19:43

Blimey, it's been busy today. Nelix - lol at the commitment to EWCM duty!

Also might give in and test on Friday . If this is a usual left-hand cycle it should be 28 days, meaning that AF is due Thursday. If it's a longer 30 day then AF would be due Saturday so Friday seems a good compromise.

Can't believe that it's crept up on me so quickly this month.

SparkyMalarky · 08/09/2008 18:26

Actually feeling fine Wanabe so much so that I'm not sure it's real! Haven't called the GP or anything - was so organised last time (had told my boss, told lots of friends etc) that actually think it's quite good for me to take each day as it comes..Will have to call the GP soon tho I suppose..

Am so excited for all of u...there seems to be lots of symptom spotting!!

Don't know what to advise Jools as these last 2 weeks have dragged for me! (probably not what you want to hear)but maybe if you're busy in work? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
