Hurrah! be nice to have you on the test-a-thon wanabe

off to the loo to knicker check!

WanabeMum · 10/09/2008 14:38

Thanks Nelix, and very impressed at your shrewdness with the PG test. I have one too and will use it next week if still unsure what's going on. I'll take heeby's advice and buy a cheapie for this week i think.

Heebychick · 10/09/2008 14:34

Tut tut but brilliant nelix !! wish i'd thought of that. I signed up too and got one a while back, i will use it on Friday (if no Af by then)

nelix2000 · 10/09/2008 14:05

so sorry funtime!......we are all on board for next month tho!!!

wannabe some spottin in pregnancy is normal from what I have read. I am like you i normally have AF that just comes along!...last month tho I had 2 days of light spotting, then one medium day then it was finished! Needless to say I was optimistic, but another PG test gave me a BFN BUT thats not to say thats what you are getting!....infact most pregnant women I have known have had some spotting!

Did anyone sign up for the clearblue digital test?? I did, received it and used it last month...i was cheeky and did it again with a different name it arrived this morning, saving me another £10! i am so cheap!!!! I feel bad now, but they are giving them away free and is it my fault they never checked the address!?!

Heebychick · 10/09/2008 14:03

i know what you mean, i'm in a bit of limbo as i've had all this before and it's meant nothing but then i've had all this before and it's meant something!

i would suggest waiting till tomorrow night and see what has happened, maybe do a cheapie test on friday? like you say if impl then it might be too early for a friday test.

Jools1 · 10/09/2008 14:01

Commiserations to Funtime

Heeby and Wanabemum - sounding promising and I am sending good vibes for Friday

My AF always starts with a smudge of brown, then a day of nothing, followed by increasing amounts of the brown stuff for a day before a 2 day deluge (sorry if TMI )

Nothing to report here today yet - bloating stomach and growing boobs are fairly normal for me post ov. Getting hot flushes though, which could be anything or nothing ...

Welcome Queenie

Nelix - if you can hold out till next Friday, come test with me

WanabeMum · 10/09/2008 13:57

Actually, you're right, i usually get a red discharge (well pinky) not brown. Ooh exciting, although a little scared to get my hopes up!

WanabeMum · 10/09/2008 13:53

Ooh does sound a little more positive. My period is normally one that sneaks up on you and slaps you in the face so i know this isn't normal for me. I usually have a little brown discharge first but then i have full blown AF within a few hours?!

Um not sure if i should be happy or not. If it is implantation then it may not be worth me testing friday (may not be able to resist though). will wait and see, AF could still show her ugly head before then!

your symptoms sound promising though heeby, will keep my fingers crossed for you. so far im still on the band wagon for the friday morning test, woo hoo

Heebychick · 10/09/2008 13:44

ps with my DD i had cramps and some small spots of blood when i was about 6 weeks and panicked and then when i had a scan they told me i was actually earlier than i thought and the bleeding was implantation.

Heebychick · 10/09/2008 13:43

Hi wannabe well i would have to say it sounds much more positive than negative, you know the rule, brown is good, and with no red surely that would be a good sign?? i don't want to build your hopes up and i might be wrong but i would be thinking .... 1st spot - oh no AF on her way ... 2nd spot - surely AF should be here by now so it must be good?

What normally happens with your AF?

I have very sore (.)(.) today, been having twinges all morning and my cramps are still coming and going so am, slightly optomistic ... but then with my track record i've had this before then had AF so am not gonna think anything until that BFP.

WanabeMum · 10/09/2008 13:37

Hmmmmmmmmmm i've been doing some research (dangerous i know!) since my last message and apparently you can have small cramping and some brownish-pinkish bleeding that is lighter than your normal period and still be preggers.
At the moment for me it's only brownish stuff and very little of it but this is day 2.

Help!!!!!!!!

WanabeMum · 10/09/2008 12:11

Good afternoon ladies!!

I'm feeling very confused so need your words of wisdom. I had a small spot yesterday morning as i told you (TMI i know)and again this morning so i was convinced she was on her way today but still nothing. not quite sure what is going on as this hasn't happened to me before. Any ideas?

Welcome to our lovely thread Queenie better get some grapefruit juice in and no matter what they tell you it doesn't taste nice or bearable!

As you can see Heeby loves it! thought that was very funny about your DH Heeby

So sorry Funtime even if some of us are lucky this month im hoping we wont all leave this thread to go to prenatal?! we need ongoing support (or at least i would!)

Heebychick · 10/09/2008 11:08

funtime i'm really sorry about AF honey, i was hopeful for you last night. thank you for my well wishes, yes i hope she stays at bay but actually i have a funny feeling i shall be where you are tomorrow morning.

Glad you have a nice evening planned on Friday, there's something quite exciting about a fresh start isn't there? and you can drink for a week or so! hurrah!

Yes how is sparky? hope all is well and she's not suffering with any nasty MS or anything.

One funny note i have to tell you all, my DH saw that the cartons of GFJ had been increasing in our fridge and obviously i didn't make a point of telling him why i had a sudden affinity with the stuff, but of course he now thinks i love it so much so he keeps buying more and more and 'surprising' me with a lovely glass in the morning!

funtimewincies · 10/09/2008 10:50

Doh, I'm out of the record-breaking attempt. AF arrived with bells on this morning . On the up side, an old friend is coming to stay on Friday and we have my parents baby-sitting so that we can go out for dinner. I can now have some lovely wine and won't automatically be driving.

Good luck for tomorrow. Everything crossed Heeby that the witch stays at bay. Anyone heard how Sparky's doing?

And welcome Queenie. We are a select, but friendly bunch. Within days we'll have you guzzling grapefruit juice and checking your knickers half-hourly with the rest of us !

Heebychick · 10/09/2008 10:11

Nope not for me! today should be the spotting day and tomorrow the big day. Had some back ache this morning but nothing unusual for me, have this quite a lot lately for other reasons.

Now i am very excited about your cramps! obviously not AF so what else could it be i wonder!!!! (secretly grinning for you!)

nelix2000 · 10/09/2008 09:30

I wanna do a group test too......oh well lol!!
I had cramps last night v odd, at 7dpo, unless i had got it wrong and it was friday, then it would be 4dpo....if there was still some alive sperm to meet the egg that is!!!!

No AF this morning ladies???WOO!

OP posts:
Heebychick · 09/09/2008 22:12

Ssssshhhhh jools don't tempt fate! but sounds very promising indeed!! Obviously i mean for the PG not the CP!

funtime how exciting, maybe it was implantation then??? oooh lets hope so! may the night time knicker checking begin! i guess the morning will be the telltale time as that is when it usually starts properly huh. Good luck !!!

Hi queenie welcome to our brilliant thread! i've added you to our test-a-thon list for Friday, do you have any symptoms?

oh and as for the 2 lines, sadly i don't think it means anything, i had read it could but then i took apart the CB digi(we are all test destoyers on this thread - it's part of the joining terms) and i had 2 lines but was not PG. Good luck for the next test tho, you never know.

Having mild cramps and a little backache low-down on left hand side - feels exactly like it did when I had my CP !! Today is 4 or 5 DPO ...

Fingers, toes and eyes firmly crossed !

funtimewincies · 09/09/2008 19:32

Thanks for the kind words Heeby . The spotting appears to have stopped, so if it's not resumed by tomorrow morning I might be back on (oh the drama !)

Nelix - any spare babydust is being wrapped up (with a big bow of the colour of your choice) and sent your way. Good luck for this month.

queenie1 · 09/09/2008 19:31

Hi all. A bit late in the day, but can I join you? I noticed this thread earlier and read with much interest!

Been off MN for a while as had a break from ttc but now back with that same old mad vengence. AF due Friday or Saturday (possibly Sunday, Monday if on longer cycle - I never really know!). Anyway, caved in today and did a digital test. Said not pregnant (of course) but in my childish desperation I demolished the test and saw two blue lines inside. Just posted about this but wondering if any of you have any thoughts on this. Oh, and whether I can join your mutual test-a-thon on Friday!!

Heebychick · 09/09/2008 16:06

bubble i feel terrible for leaving you off our list! it looks like it will be you and me in joint peeing harmony! fab! in the meantime be optomistic honey!

funtime i really hope it's not but if you think it is then i hope it's not too disappointing for you, we will all be with you on the 'June is great' thread and maybe we should vow to BD every 2 days to be sure!

nelix i hope you have some of that babydust in your pockets! i have a good feeling about your timing, it sounded so perfect as well.

i have just worked out my dates again (not at all obsessed!) and it seems CD25 is actually tomorrow not today (doh!) so tomorrow will potentially be my spotting day and AF on Thursday - so Friday is still good for me if she doesn't arrive on Thursday!

Mylittlebubble · 09/09/2008 15:45

Enjoy the Martini funtime and get jiggy with it for next month's mass testing?

I'm sure I'll be there with you

nelix2000 · 09/09/2008 15:43

oh how I hate this time but love it too!.....I hope some of us get a BFP!!!!......its the waiting then the dissapointment of AF before you even get a chance to test. I am being good and waiting the full 2 weeks but I know the answer already. Come on baby dust!!!!!!

OP posts:
funtimewincies · 09/09/2008 15:32

Looks like I might have to bow out of the mass-testing too as back pain and spotting have just started. I could be optimistic and tell myself that it's an implantation bleed (never had one with any previous pregnancy) or be realistic and say that AF is on her vicious way .

Just as well I bought that martini in the end . Thanks for the kind offer Heeby, I might take you up on it after all the decorating is finished and we're less likely to lose it!

Mylittlebubble · 09/09/2008 15:25

Hey, don't forget about me . I might not be on here very often but I'm still around
