Good morning ladies,

wanabe your DH and mine must be of the same stock, mine said the same thing! he kind of wants to know but at the same time doesn't because he doesn't want the disappointment!! he said 'oh i bet you tell everyone on MN about it tho' hmm. Men. Sill since my rant about how insensitive he'd been he has been asking all sorts of questions lately, when i said 'oh i've had a small bleed' just before AF he asked 'what could that mean then?' so i'll give him credit he did take what i said on board.

So ... jools and nelix no pressure then! tons of luck with the tests, hopefully you will both be le to cast aside your GFJ and run off with sparky but still check in on us every now and then on our June thread!

We watched Tess last night, loved it! nasty nasty Alec! We realised that we will miss the final episode tho as we'll be on holiday, humph!

I really love this thread, i also don't think i would of gotten through the last few weeks/months without you guys and yes i too are quite pleased we will be together again through the next month (hopefully we will all graduate this month tho!).

Will be thinking of you tomorrow nelix i have everything crossed!

How is everyone else?

My DD has a stinking cold and feeling a bit sorry for herself so i have put her back to bed with some calpol. poor little mite.

Jools1 · 15/09/2008 09:09

Sparky I would LOVE to come and join you on an antenatal thread

I don't want to tempt fate by thinking about that just now though

SparkyMalarky · 15/09/2008 09:03

(sorry - should have said, any other testers this week.....)

SparkyMalarky · 15/09/2008 09:02

I loved Tess last night....evil cousin indeed! Managed not to cry at that, but had cried at the swimmer in the Paralympics who'd mum had died, and at an article in the sunday papers already that day, so was a bit cried out

Sorry about all the AFs arriving...grapefruit juice, CM checking and OPKs at the ready once again?! I need one of you girls to join me tho....I'm scared to join any pregancy thread in case they're not as nice as you all (that, and I think I'm still a bit in denial )

Any testers this week - or is it just Jools?

Jools1 · 15/09/2008 08:53

Oh Nelix hope I didn't spoil it for you - I just kinda assumed everyone has read that book at school

Whether you know some broad brush details or not, it is still a very good watch

My boobs are still very large and sore this morning. One isolated pink spot of blood when I got up ...

nelix2000 · 15/09/2008 08:20

oh Jools I recorded it!!! lol will be watching it later today!

I nearly tested this morning but didnt when I felt AF cramps if I havent bled by tomorrow I will test as planned. Ugh this is the worst bit of 2ww.

Hehe BBC1 drama last night. A Thomas Hardy novel. Poor innocent country girl gets raped by rich cousin, has baby, trials of being an unwed mother in old timed etc etc

WanabeMum · 14/09/2008 22:12

Hey Jools, you lost me. Tess and the who? (sorry!)

Jools1 · 14/09/2008 22:07

Hello Wanabe Glad the weekend was good - fab weather for you

Did anyone else bawl their eyes out over Tess of the D'Urbervilles ?

pmt or PG symptom !!

WanabeMum · 14/09/2008 21:32

Evening all! back from my very relaxing weekend away in good old Shepton Mallet. Went to a Caravan/campers show with the in-laws and was very good fun (suprisingly!)

sorry about all the AF's ladies, but at least we can all carry on with the neuroticism next month! still keeping my fingers crossed for you tho Jools as your symptoms sound very positive!! ooh exciting. Keep us posted.

the new name for the thread?
I agree it has to mention something about grapefruit juice, especially since we even gave it it's very own acronym! and something about "half hourly knicker checking" as i believe someone said to our newcomer queenie! very amusing!! otherwise im affraid im no help in this area.

I ordered a Clearblue fertility kit and it's arriving tomorrow, probably a waste of money but need to see if im ovulating at all to put my mind at ease, i've stressed myself out over it so much i need to know!

And Heeby about your DH, i know EXACTLY what you mean. Me and my DH had a massive row on Thursday when my AF arrived because he can't handle it. He told me he hated me being on MN as i didn't tell him anything anymore, BUT 5mins prior to this statement he told me it's all i talk about! now tell me how i can possibly win in that situation?
He made me so mad that i sobbed for hours (hormones not helping!) then he felt guilty and apologised. But i agree it's just their way, he doesn't want me to be so neurotic but also doesn't want me to not include him in everything. Any ideas how i do this?

Ahhh it's so good to be back to rant to you ladies. I must say if it wasn't for you all i would have gone mad by now as i would also have been feeling really alone. Thanks lovely ladies

nelix2000 · 14/09/2008 21:31

I think we should apply to the national lottery arts fund! I think we would qualify for some sort of grant as we are all avid pant checkers which IS an art form! wow from the outside looking in we are all a lil bit crazy but from the inside looking out, the rest of the world is lucky to have such witty and marvelous creatures such as ourselves!

Talking of weird...my sore boobs leaked!!!tmi I know but i have not breast fed my son in over a year.....how very very very odd!.. I dont see it as a sympton at all...infact I did a sneaky test today and got a neg...with my DP there of course....and it is early but i know AF has packed her bag and is coming to stay! boo!

Hehe

The martini quaffing, EWCM obsessed test destroyers - grapefruit juice anyone ?

Roast dinner was yum - huge aswell but I think I could eat another one !

funtimewincies · 14/09/2008 19:29

The am I/aren't I is such a pig Jools, fingers crossed that the hag stays at bay. Enjoy your roast dinner!

In addition to test destroyers, I was thinking about all the others that nelix's little club has attracted...grapefruit-juice-addicts, EWCM-checkers, martini-quaffers.

We could apply for government funding for appealing to such a diverse community .

Jools1 · 14/09/2008 19:12

Back to being rational this afternoon - I've spotted no more symptoms, other than having a stinking headache and feeling really tired. Am starting to imagine whether I imagined the hot nipples thing yesterday, but am sure I didn't - it was just too wierd not to be real

If the witch is going to arrive on Thursday, I shall probably get early warning sometime tomorrow as I always get a spot of brown CM three days before the main event.

Not hopeful any more Will pig out on a roast dinner and try to forget about it for a while

nelix2000 · 14/09/2008 16:38

Test destroyers it is!!!!....I am going to bleed I can feel it!!!.....not so dissapointed this month....its all good!!!

OP posts:
Heebychick · 14/09/2008 14:51

jools ooh exciting! maybe you could be one of the lucky ones!?? gosh really hope so!

I agree about the Test Destroyers bit ... any ideas anyone?

Jools1 · 14/09/2008 11:22

I think the next thread has to include the phrase "test destroyers"

Symptom spotting again yesterday afternoon, my boobs got really sore and the nipples got very hot - very very wierd sensation. This lasted most of the evening, and I spotted a little bit of yellowish CM just once yesterday night.

I slept for a whole 8 hours last night - haven't managed that in months !! Went to the gym this morning for my usual two classes and came back after one - no energy, worn out, wanting to crawl back into bed...

wonder what this is all about.

Sorry about that evil witch proliferating on this thread

Heebychick · 14/09/2008 10:17

Ditto to you nelix i too feel very pleased to be sharing it with you all.

I hope it's not AF for you Nelix, lets hope it's something else!

I'm out too, AF came this morning, but feel fine about it what with the cyst etc it would of been far too lucky to have been sucessful.

So what shall we call our next thread??

nelix2000 · 14/09/2008 09:56

good morning everyone. I have been having cramps on and off so def think I am out! Also sore boobs synonamous with AF!
makingafamily so sorry to hear your news! looks like we will all start next month!

Evening ladies, just a quickie as we have a bit of a hectic evening ahead, but wanted to log on and see how you all were. makingafamily i'm really sorry about AF, keep us informed of what happens.

Looks like most of us will be on the next thread huh, shame but nice in a way too!

jools well done for your busy morning! proper head on moment huh! Your symptoms could be good tho, i guess it's a case of waiting still tho huh.

nelix i'm very excited about tuesday for you! i have decided to test on friday if nothing happens by then. had a few spots of brown earlier today so it might just turn into AF later, i shall let you know. still having cramps but could be AF obviously.

Well nite nite ladies, will check in tomorrow, lol x

Jools1 · 13/09/2008 13:32

Morning all

MakingaFamily - so it wasn't your month

I've had a very industrious morning - vets, then took DP for a hospital appt, did the fortnightly shop and picked up some bits in Homebase - haircut this afternoon

Sparky - the spot is actually a sebaceous cyst that burst I get them quite a lot - have asked about them at smear test time but they seem to be nothing to worry about - gets a bit uncomfortable and swollen, but not too bad.

As for symptoms, I'm not sure I really have any at 3DPO, I suddenly had a streaming nose, just for a few minutes and was very very lethargic and incredibly tearful at the slightest soppy thing. 6DPO - very minor cramps / backache that could be something or nothing. Since then, slightly sore throat / snuffly nose that is probably just a cold lurking, and a couple of times I thought I've had faint cramps low down on my left side. Boobs are very swollen and tender, but then they often are at this time of the month anyway.

I haven't had the "fluttering" feelings that accompanied my CP. Don't feel like it has happened this month at all really and am trying to prepare myself for disappointment. 8DPO today, so maybe if symptoms are going to appear, it will be in the next few days ..

Have a good day all

makingafamily · 13/09/2008 11:12

Hey ladies

BFN here and lots of AF cramps

fingers crossed for you nelix

nelix2000 · 13/09/2008 08:38

Good morning everyone, sorry I never got on last night!..yes where ismakingafamily?I wanna know if tis good news lol!

Well tuesday is our test day, DP said I could do it today but I don't see the point, I will wait the two weeks exactly.

Though I did get AF twinges this morning, meaning the witch could be early! which NEVER happens! so lord knows!!!!

Jeso men!....sounds like my dad and my brother and once......yes once....many moons ago when I dated them!..Except my very last boyfrind who was lovely! He had great dress sense, always looked good, picked amazing gifts, complimented me etc....turned out he was gay too!!! (i found out many years later, but explains why he was such a good boyfreind)

funtimewincies · 12/09/2008 19:41

Just logged in to find out the news, sorry to hear about the BFNs . However, no AFs yet...

My dh was exactly the same until it became clear that making a small person wasn't going to be as straightforward as he thought. I also knew that I was pregnant with ds 5 days before my period. He huffed and puffed when I said I was testing the next day and was flabergasted when it was positive. Like he ever knew what it felt like!

He still pulls the face when I speculate each month though . If they had the babies we'd know about every twinge .

Glad you liked the rules girls, come join my cult .

Heebychick · 12/09/2008 19:20

Evening ladies, thank you jools and sparky for the support, i'm glad that it's not just my DH being a total pain, he rung me this afternoon and i ignored the call then when i finally spoke to him i let my emotions out and told him he just had to show his caring side more, he said 'but i thought you tested too early today' so i said 'who cares, you're not supposed to tell me that just tell me i'm lovely'! tee hee! poor him actually, i know he is concerned but like you it's the guys way of dealing with it!

I've been having the same tummy 'pulls' and cramps like you jools and i was at this sports day thing at work (don't ask) and i thought 'i wonder why i'm getting those' and then i thought, hang on i could still be PG just a bit behind when i thought, long shot i know (collapsed thing was Thurs, last Bding was Sat!) but no AF and why cramps??

I'm not too optomistic but hey ... it ain't over till the AF lady sings!
