thanks Ilovebeingamummy - will give it a go.

funtimewincies · 23/09/2008 19:53

Welcome smileycat - better crack open the grapefruit juice!

By the way, I was wondering if grapefruit juice and martini would go together, combine interests sort of thing .

Wanabe - hope that your DH is fighting fit again soon and will be suitably grateful for all your tender care and attention.

Ilovebeingamummy · 23/09/2008 19:46

Yellowflowers - don't lose hope - while no af the chance is more than just a chance Try putting your dates in here www.hip-chick-pregnancy-guide.com/due-date-calculator.html

It really gave me hope that I was just playing a waiting game not going mad. HTH a little bit maybe

An antenatal thread would be great Jools. Hope we can all join soon!

BeckyMcG · 23/09/2008 18:48

Ps. I am off to buy the grapefruit juice tomorrow given all the luck it seems to have brough

BeckyMcG · 23/09/2008 18:46

Hi, hi ladies!! Congratulations all round Jools and Ilove :-)

I have been in sunny spain but am back now and have been busy all day at work (the cheek) so had to wait till now to check thread.......such exciting news ladies.
I had a BFN before I went away and then AF came too.....double whammy. Now to worry though - enjoyed lots of wine with the girls and now I know I'm back in cycle after my MC. Therefore my AF is now due 14th Oct.

For the rest of us girls - it must be our month!!!!

yellowflowers · 23/09/2008 17:38

bought clearblue tests this afternoon despite first response negatives this morning - now got to try not to use until Thurs.

nelix2000 · 23/09/2008 16:45

hey all! sorry been busy with uni work, trying to get ahead with my course work. Feeling VERY tired all the time...very different pregnancy from my first one as the symptoms feel far more acute!!!

I think we should start an ante natal thread once the babydust really gets to working!!!!

Glad everyone is busy doing the things you need to be doing to get BFPs!!! anyone back on GFJ?????

OP posts:
Jools1 · 23/09/2008 15:41

I guess all I can offer sympathy and hope that the suspense will be over soon

I don't think that there is anything you CAN do other than keep waiting and testing and, if you think you are over a week late, perhaps seeing your GP for a blood test ?

I had implantation pains and spotting, so was reasonably certain on what was happening. I have felt low-level nausea when tired in the afternoon / evening or if I don't have lunch till late but never got the metallic taste.

We're all different so you are still in with a chance - good luck !

yellowflowers · 23/09/2008 14:40

I have metallic taste and I feel sick. Don't want to get excited because don't want to set myself up for a fall as I have every month so far with imagined symptoms. Please help...

Jools1 · 23/09/2008 13:52

Ooh - good to see ppl coming back to this thread - I want to keep in touch with you all but felt like I was talking to myself over the weekend !!!

Are you going to create a "Test Destroyers" thread or stick with this one ?

If we have any more BFP's on here, maybe we should start our own AnteNatal thread aswell

Heebychick · 23/09/2008 13:50

Yes where is becky? wasn't she going to test this week? i bet nelix is just wallowing in the joy of being Pregnant! lucky devil!

Glad your DH is up to for it (so to speak!) yes it might be awkward tho! give him a few drinks and that'll numb the pain!

WanabeMum · 23/09/2008 13:39

Ha ha Heeby I'm sure I can think of something! to be fair he's as keen as me this time around but he is in quite a lot of pain so it may be a bit awkward, sorry tmi!

yellow i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, it's sssoo frustrating not knowing. Really hope you get the answer that you want though.

Where are Becky & Nelix gone to?

Heebychick · 23/09/2008 13:23

Hi all, Wow ilove that's such brilliant news! how wonderful for you, like jools i had a sneaking feeling you were pg! hurrah!

hi also to smileycat welcome, i am at a similar stage to you, CD 10 so will be a busy girl this week!

wanabe yes it must be our turn this month, i have promised myself that i will work hard to make sure we capture the 'moment' as it were! poor you with a poorly DH, mine is poorly too but that's tough, they will just have to sacrifice themselves to their wives! maybe you can cheer him up tonight

yellow will you wait 4 days then? it must be so frustrating for you!

WanabeMum · 23/09/2008 12:51

Hey ladies,

Didn't manage to get on here over the weekend. My DH had surgery on his knee yesterday so having to take things slowly. How insensitive of him when my fertility monitor says high?! (only joking, honest! ). He's feeling a bit blue today as he's at home alone and i'm in work. Joy!

Heeby glad you had a lovely time. Back on track with your cycle and starting the BD-ing this week! We'll be on the BFP list next month (hopefully).

ILove congratulations on the BFP!!!!!!!! Spread the babydust for the rest of us still patiently (or not) waiting for ours!

Welcome smileycat to our very neurotic, but informative, thread! I'm now on CD 14 so have started with the BD-ing already. Is your cycle regular? And do you know when you usually ovulate?

Hoping the lucky streak continues this month ladies! fingers crossed (and arms, but not legs, and anything else!)

smileycat · 23/09/2008 12:43

funtimewincies · 23/09/2008 10:41

Hi all, MIL has gone safely home so checked for news and 2 BFPs!!! Congratulations Jools and Ilove !!!

Sorry to hear that your cycle is playing games yellowflowers, fingers crossed that you'll get a a BFP soon.

Nothing exciting to report here. As it's a right-side this month we're not really making much effort. Desperate for the next AF to arrive . I'm also having a Macmillan coffee morning this week, so had better think about doing some baking. I could do a trial run to make sure that they're all right for my guests .

Jools1 · 23/09/2008 10:09

HOORAY ! it has been SUCH a long, frustrating wait for you.

here is hoping the TFP turns into a BFP very quickly

can we put you on our stats list yet, or do you want to wait ??

What a lucky, lucky thread this is

I had to test again today - just to prove to myself I wasn't imagining things as I have my GP appt this evening !!!

Ilovebeingamummy · 23/09/2008 10:06

I got a BFP!!!!

(well more of a TFP (tiny faint positive!!) last night- rechecked the test (a first response) and there it is. Should've had more patience in watching it!! Am going to do another one in a couple of days hope it gets darker!

Yellowflowers we have a thread for late but -ve come join us (hopefully my TFP will prove lucky

Heebychick · 23/09/2008 10:05

yellow that is strange, maybe its too early? have you been ill or anything to delay AF?

yellowflowers · 22/09/2008 22:47

Hi. No period for me but did test and got bfn

Heebychick · 22/09/2008 21:27

Hi all,

It has just taken me ages to catch up on the gossip, we only got back this afternoon and wondered how you were all doing. I had such a lovely weekend, DD behaved like a perfect baby girl, she really loved being with her nanni and great nana. 4 generations in one cottage

jools the wedding and the pic sound spooky! maybe it's not a trick of light?!!

How is everone else?

Our busy week starts tomorrow! i have warned DH so he can store some energy up!
