Thanks for the pick-me-ups Jools and Wanabe , very much appreciated.

Welcome C1NDY, it's lovely to see new people joining us.

Yellow, sorry to hear that you're not pg, but the blood hormone levels must be a weight off your mind. Fingers crossed for this month.

(Just put ds to bed, off to see if there is any wine left in the fridge from yesterday...)

Jools1 · 14/10/2008 20:11

OMG - I can hardly believe that

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 20:06

Hey Jools,

Just been to knicker check and looks like AF has arrived. I'm devastated

Have to go and compose myself, sorry ladies x

Jools1 · 14/10/2008 19:53

Wanabe - we are all different I guess, but I got my BFP at 13DPO, which was probably the day before AF

I reckon the poking pains and mild cramps are implantation though, so if you can bear it, perhaps it is best to wait till Thursday morning to give the HCG levels time to increase ? Also, I had brown CM on the day I tested and remember an increasing feeling of feeling wet down below when nothing was there - in hindsight, this was probably because the mucus plug had formed.

sorry YellowFlowers but at least you know where you stand now - its been a long and stressful time for you I'm sure.

Yay yellow finally some good news (and some bad obviously!) but at least you know all your hormones are doing what they should and from your earlier message you may have caught it perfectly this time! fingers crossed for you xx

Jools this is so weird. i'm trying not to be optimistic but desperate for all these "symptoms" to actually mean what i hope they do. It's aweful not knowing. My mild cramps are more noticable so not sure that's a good sign but still no bleeding, just brown CM seems like. Makes me worry every time i feel.... ahem.... wet down there though, keep dashing to the loo to see if AF has arrived. 3 days later and she is yet to show her ugly head!
I don't know, do you think i could get an accurate result tomorrow morning or should i wait? (will be 14DPO tomorrow, CD36!). Haven't got as far as CD36 since my very bizzare 42day cycle in June! a good sign maybe? im hoping so. Starting to get a bit desperate now though. uh oh

Any words of wisdom ladies?

yellowflowers · 14/10/2008 17:06

okay - the bad news, blood test shows def not pregnant. Good news, all hormone levels very healthy. roll on 2 weeks time when i can start to worry all over again...

Jools1 · 14/10/2008 16:25

hehe Wanabe

I remember having the strangest sensation 2 days before testing (11DPO) when I was in a client meeting and my boobs started going really hot and felt like they were fizzing and leaking !! I had to have a look, as I was convinced it was really really obvious to everyone in the room

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 16:19

Hey jools yea was a bit like that, very odd feeling! i was on the ward too so must have looked abit mad looking at my stomach and frowning! lol

yellowflowers · 14/10/2008 16:18

Still no news from doctor re blood test but am sure not pregnant as yesterday (Mon) got all the ewcm (day 18 of cycle if odd bleeding last month was period). We BDd Thurs, Sat, Sun and Mon so hopefully we caught it. Which means AF now expected later than thought so have updated list.

Wanabe - this is sounding more and more like this is your month - poking pains round belly button - like someone pushing a poker in there ???

I had those feelings on a Monday and Tuesday and tested on a Thursday

Am getting so excited for you

Funtime - passing you a large gin and tonic to go with that Green and Blacks

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 13:32

Hey ladies,

Some more bizzare symptoms?
Had poking behind my bellybutton today, made me want to stick my finger in it and scratch! Also, i just ate lunch and now want to vomit quite badly. Hoping it will settle soon.
Still having very small amounts of brown discharge but not even enough to justify a liner. Plus yesterday & today i had a few very mild cramps in my lower abdomen.
Hoping this is positive but also concerned it may be AF building up.
I'm CD35, 13DPO today so who knows. I'm planning on doing another cheapy test tomorrow if still no AF.
Will keep you posted.

Sorry to hear your frustrations funtime how aweful of your GP to do that so underhanded. GP should have told you the possible side-effects when you said you were trying! For goodness sake, some people have no idea do they?! (Sorry ranting a little)
a big bar of green & blacks

smileycat · 14/10/2008 13:00

Hi C1ndy welcome, its a great thread, you can rant & rave as much as you like & it really helps to know there are others out there going through the same ups & downs as you are

C1NDY · 14/10/2008 11:15

Hi everyone, I would love to join am on CD9. After having a mmc, we are trying again this month. I am using the OPK this month and am keeping my fingers and toes crossed and everything else that it works this month!! Babydust to all!

smileycat · 14/10/2008 10:52

Been looking on line at different ways to tell when you might be fertile & came across this one below that I thought I would share with you as it seems a little more simple than some of the methods, they also have a great Basal Body temperature chart that you can print off & fill in your details by hand, I know there is an electronic one on fertillity friend but I quite like working from paper & seeing it in front of me, if you want to download a copy type in contracept info natural family planning chart into google

The method rules are quite simple. A woman asks herself two questions: "Did I notice any secretions today?" and "Did I notice any secretions yesterday?" If she noticed any secretions yesterday and today, she is potentially fertile. If she did not notice any secretions either yesterday or today (two consecutive days with no secretions), her probability of becoming pregnant is very low and it is safe to have intercourse that day. Couples using the TwoDay Method should avoid unprotected intercourse on days when the woman is potentially fertile.

For simplicity, women can note the presence or absence of cervical secretions at the same times each day. Checking after noon and just before going to bed at night is adequate for identifying fertile days, and also reduces the potential for confusing semen and cervical secretions.

funtimewincies · 14/10/2008 10:29

Royally grumpy now, another BFN . If I'd known that this stuff would mess my cycle about so much I would have just put up with the pain .

It appears that
a) the medication has delayed/prevented ovulation (found this out on t'internet, GP didn't tell me even though I said that we were trying).
b) I've no idea if/when I've ovulated.
c) Therefore I have no idea when AF might arrive. I'm 4-6 days late so far.

It's costing me a fortine in sanitary towels 'just in case', not to mention tests!

Sorry to hear about the BFN Wanabe (passes a small glass of wine, just in case).

smileycat · 14/10/2008 08:54

WanabeMum · 13/10/2008 19:47

Hey funtime! Glad you came back on, was waiting for your response
Ooh exciting so your testing tomorrow? i must admit i did a sneaky one today (cheapy) but it was BFN. Was dissapointed as i had convinced myself it would be positive just because of the amount of weeing i did yesterday and it's definately NOT a UTI as im very prone so know only too well what they are like!
I'm 12DPO today, CD34! so not really sure when to test again as im not even sure when my AF is due! Is there a rule? i.e. 14DPO AF due? it's all very awkward when your cycles are irregular!

Where is heeby? seems like she's been gone ages! hope she's ok.
Who else are we missing? it's getting aweful quiet on here.

funtimewincies · 13/10/2008 19:07

Oh Wanabe, it does all sound really promising, just missing that BFP! I'm retesting tomorrow morning. I think that I've had symptoms (both boobs sore, usually only right one before AF, tugging in my groin, slight nausea) but I'm prepared to admit that it might all be in the mind .

Pleased to hear that you had a nice weekend Smiley (despite the headache and all). Welcome back Becky!

I'm relieved that it's perked up a bit, I was worried that if I do a get a BFP there would be no-one to tell .

WanabeMum · 13/10/2008 17:25

Aww im so pleased you got your closure smiley! enjoy the wine!

smileycat · 13/10/2008 17:21

Sounds horrible but I've just had a real meaty clot on my tampon, squished it between my fingers and it was a bit like skin sorry tmi, but in my mind it makes me happy as I now think that maybe I was right and my mind and body weren't playing tricks on me with all the symptoms, I knew I felt different this month & I think I did conceive & was unlucky that it didn't 'stick', just thought I'd share that with you all, hope I didn't offend anyone, going to have a large glass of wine now and a stinking hot curry hummm
