C1NDY · 16/10/2008 09:10

Wanabemum - Hi.. I am on CD11 now. I had a mc on 10 October so have waited for AF to come and go.. which was painful as I wanted to try straightaway. I am doing the Deanna plan and am into the first week. Have you heard of this plan is not its at this link... www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm

If anyone has heard of it.. can I have any stories to keep me positive.

Its hard going on the poor DH!

Jools1 · 16/10/2008 09:03

Yes Heeby - we're all waiting

As for hormones - I started crying at breakfast TV this morning when they were reminiscing about Blue Peter !

smileycat · 16/10/2008 08:23

heeby did you do a test???
I started recording my temp this month to see if I am actually OVing, woke up this morning to take my 3rd day of readings & the bloodly batteries have run out, its going to be hard work trying to find a shop that has a battery to match...bugger might just have to go & buy a new one...bloodly timing. DH is getting excited as I'm pretty much finished AF now & he's looking forward to the next wk or so of BDing says hes in a win win situation as he gets to have lots of regular sex & hopefully we both get a poss result from it, if not he gets to do it all over again the next month...well at least I'm keeping him happy
wanabe know what you mean with the crying thing, there was nothing on the tv last night so we were watching friends on living, the one where Rachel has her baby. I had to hold back the tears & when I looked over DH was struggling (but wouldn't admit it)hormones have a lot to answer for

yellowflowers · 15/10/2008 22:37

I say the same as wannabe

WanabeMum · 15/10/2008 22:08

Have you done a test? sounds silly but you never know! Otherwise it could be AF but very starnge to have a gao i would have thought.

Heebychick · 15/10/2008 20:33

yellow yes let it be our month, together with every single lady on this thread so we can close it all with our proud little bumps!?

wanabe what a lovely welcome home, i had been thinking about everyone whilst i was away and it's nice to be back with you all.

I think i might get the CB fertility monitor, i need something to reassure me, with all the BDing i thought i'd got it right but i guess not.

Ok a weird one for you all, i had my AF on Thurs, only lasted 2 days and was gone by Sat. Then nothing for 3 days and today i have just had a brown/dark red mushy kind of leakage (sorry tmi during dinner time!) any ideas? i'm guessing a bit of AF left over? but strange to have a gap? mind you (.)(.) are still tingling so it could be AF still hanging around.

WanabeMum · 15/10/2008 20:31

oops that was supposed to be disappointment! he he

WanabeMum · 15/10/2008 20:30

Oh no, i hate hormones. I'm like a rollercoaster! just been watching scrubs on paramount (any fans?) and the nurse, Carla, just announced she was pregnant and the wave of dissapinetment washed over me again. I almost burst into tears on the sofa! How scary are we at this time of the month? Poor partners huh?

WanabeMum · 15/10/2008 19:46

Heeby!!!! you're back! missed you honey. Yes women's bodies are shite sometimes but i guess it will all be that much more precious when it does happen (no i haven't been drinking lol). I'm trying the new optimism route. not sure how long it will last though.
Glad you had a fab holiday and so sorry that the beast arrived for you. Fingers crossed your scan goes well though, keep us posted.
As for the SIL i totally understand. There seems to be "accidents" everywhere at the moment making me think either they're lieing or just damn lucky! and if it's luck then where the hell is mine?!! Anyway, here we are back to CD1.
I'm using the Clearblue fertility monitor. Ok it cost me £50 on ebay but so worthe the money. It told me exactly when i ovulated which put my mind at ease knowing that i actually did, and it identifies another 5 days giving you almost 7 days of high fertility. Highly recommended!

Wasabi i know what you mean, every time i see a new baby im so gutted and take myself off too. Was like a scary person yesterday when AF arrived, poor hubby!

Jools can't comment from experience but am almost certain i will feel the same. The scan is sort of proof that it's actually happening i guess? post a picture when you've had it done wont you?

Ahh it's nice to have the gang back again, te he. in a very weird mood. Hormones? maybe

Oh and how rude of me, i didn't say hello to our newest member. Hey C1ndy, sorry huni was a bit preoccupied. But WELCOME!!! this will either be your haven or an education ! We need to add you to our list! what CD are you on?

wasabipeanut · 15/10/2008 15:23

Oh Jools, I do remember so well that feeling! I was convinced we'd go for a scan and there would be nothing there and it was all a terrible mistake. I used to test pretty much every week - so silly but I was little miss paranoid. Given that I was a complete chunder beast at the timne you'd think that would have been reassurance enough!

We went for a private scan at 9 weeks because we were going on holiday and there was just no way I could relax without knowing that everything was ok. It was quite expensive (£100) but for peace of mind my dh said it was the best £100 he'd ever spent.

Don't know if you could consider the same?

Heeby, I hope your scan goes well. As for your SIL - its so difficult isn't it? You feel envious but then angry with yourself. We were so lucky with ds and didn't have to go through any of this but are making up fot it now. Whenever I hear of anyone announcing pregnancy I am genuinely happy for them but then have to go off and have a private little cry.

yellowflowers · 15/10/2008 14:51

I;m sorry heebychick - know just how you feel. good luck at scan. let's both get bfps this month. xxx

Heebychick · 15/10/2008 14:15

Oh BTW i am going for a second scan tomorrow to see if the cyst has re-appreared, the Dr wanted to so another one after a cycle and to check all is ok which is great, i am still weeing every hour but no pains so really hope all is back to normal.

Hello ladies!

Well we had a lovely 2 weeks holiday in the sun and have just spent half an hour catching up on the news!

I was sure i'd see a bunch of BFP's and really sad that you haven't been lucky yet, if it helps i'm out this month too, AF arrived bang on time CD26.

wanabe i'm so sorry for you honey, i was reading your posts thinking 'ooh that sounds exciting' and if it helps i felt just the same last week, there we were on holiday, BDing every day and timed everything perfectly but then AF announced her arrival right on time, i can't believe it, i had pains that lasted a day or so which was surely OV like i used to have before the syst and we timed it just right, but no it's not working for us either.

What's worse is that just as i was getting over my 'my body is rubbish' feeling, my SIL texts us in Greece with a scan picture of her now 12 week old bump, they weren't trying and this was how she chose to announce it! Their first DS was a 'accident' after only meeting the dad 3 weeks before (!) then this time they have another accident and hey presto, so easy for some hey.

I am pleased for them but feel crap about it too (and angry at myself for feeling angry if that makes sense?!!)

Anyhow i'm ok, have decided to give up all alcohol and DH is too to see if that helps, and thinking of trying OV kits ? Wanabe which one do you use?

Have missed you all whilst i've been away and hoping all was well.

(((hugs to everyone)))

Jools1 · 15/10/2008 14:04

Hi Wasabi

Sorry to hear about the cold doing the rounds Look on the bright side - at least you can take something for it !

I think I'm 8 weeks on Friday and time is dragging. I am virtually symptomless (apart from stacking on weight round the middle) and have to keep giving myself a talking to as I have a tendency to get paranoid and imagine there is nothing there on quite a regular basis

Waiting for a scan date - hoping for Nov 7th

wasabipeanut · 15/10/2008 13:47

Okay, that?s really annoying. I spent ages typing up a really long post as haven?t posted for ages and then my connection crashed during posting. Aaaaaagghghhhh.

Ok, here is a summary. Haven?t been on here for a while as ds was quite ill last week which was wonderfully timed to coincide with dh being away. In addition to a cold & ear & chest infection plus resulting temperature he was also cutting his 2nd tooth. Poor little mite was seriously pissed off for a few days and to be fair I don?t blame him. He is now fit as a fiddle, eating like a horse and has kindly given me his cold

Wanabe and funtime I?m so sorry to hear it wasn?t to be this month. Our bodies can play such nasty tricks on us. I went through this several months ago when I was about 5 days late which is unprecedented (well, apart from when I actually was pregnant of course) but wasn?t. I was so convinced.

Yellow ? I am happy for you that you know for sure that you aren?t pg and that you are firing on all cylinders!

C1ndy ? Welcome, its nice to meet you in a virtual sort of way.

Jools,I hope you?re enjoying your 1st trimester and not too pukey

Well, I?m due today but not getting excited as I distinctly remember typing similar last month and then AF duly arrived. Had some really sharp cramps on Sunday but they went away after a couple of hours. No spotting or anything. With ds I had a small bleed the day before I was due but there has been nothing like that so I?m not hopeful. No other symptoms either. Was a hormonal nutcase at the weekend but that?s pretty much par for the course.....

WanabeMum · 15/10/2008 13:27

Hope so smiley! i'm much more upbeat today although i'm really sufferring. This AF is worse than one i've had in a long time!

Otherwise i'm much brighter. DH is running me a bath and buying me my favourite wine ready for when i get home. Ah pure bliss!

Where's everyone else? there only seems to be a few of us left!

smileycat · 15/10/2008 08:47

big hug wanabe & funtime maybe next month is our month. wanabe sounds like you had a month similar to mine, I was so sure I was pg this time, my body was so different even DH noticed the changes, but not to be, but if we both did have a 'non sticker' as Jools said we maybe even more fertile next month , lets hope

yellowflowers · 14/10/2008 22:15

oh wannabe - I'm so sorry. xx

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 20:47

Thanks Jools i'll go and have what the doctor ordered in about 5 mins!
I love MN, without it i'd be a mess (or at least a worse mess )

C'mon everyone else! we need some more BFP's!!!!!!

Jools1 · 14/10/2008 20:38

Well if I managed to help, then I am glad You guys were all so supportive a few weeks ago when I was obsessively symptom spotting !

When I got the poking in the belly thing, I analysed to death and wondered if I was imagining it, but came to the conclusion that it was so different to anything I'd felt before that it must mean something and be a symptom.

Don't forget, if AF is light or different, you are still in with a chance as it is not unusual to still bleed.

In the meantime, doctor Jools is issuing two prescriptions - one for a large bar of choccie and the other for your tipple of choice

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 20:36

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 20:33

Really? maybe. I really wasn't making up the symptoms (imagining rather). I made myself really analyse anything if i thought "ooh i wonder?!" so that i wouldn't get carried away.
Maybe it was that. I hope so. My DH has said he is going to the doctors for a sperm test if it fails this time. May not be a bad idea anyway. At least we'll have all the facts.
I've calmed down a lot since my initial negative post now.
I really want to thank you Jools for your support tonight, you stuck around and answered questions when i felt really vulnerable. Thank you, you have no idea how much that helped! xx
Doesn't mean you're off the hook though!

Jools1 · 14/10/2008 20:26

I'm SO sorry Wanabe - feel bad for encouraging you now but your symptoms sounded so right.

Could it possibly be what I had in July - a failed implantation ? That would at least indicate that you had conceived but it didn't stick, which means you are more fertile for your next cycle apparently.

WanabeMum · 14/10/2008 20:23

I'm back. I can't understand this. why is my body so cruel to me? I think i may go crazy if i have to go through symptoms again only to have another AF/BFN. What's wrong with me? there must be something wrong now. We timed it perfectly and even BD'd 4 times on my 2 most fertile days so somewhere there is a problem. I'm so confused
Sorry ladies, im sure people have been through worse but i don't know what to do anymore. there is nothing else i can do to help the situation. feel like crap

DH is at the gym so i know im going to burst into tears when i tell him.
There were no signs of AF at all, i just don't get it.
