Michelle88 · 23/09/2008 12:32

Hello all,

I've been ttc for 3 months now and have been charting for the last month.

I'm 8 dpo and have really weird cramping (ach) in my lower abdomen. I have some symptoms but don?t know whether its all in my head.

My legs are aching, feeling nauseous and incredible moody, I?m sat in work writing this and feel like ripping someones head off. My bb seem a little tender but not as tender before AF.

Do you think these are signs of being pregnant or am I?m holding onto every niggly pain/ach I can.

Vix67 · 23/09/2008 12:23

Morning Everyone,

Welcome questions , this a fantastic thread!!

Sorry wildfig about ur AF and wishin about ur BFN. I am on clomid too , am about to go onto my 3rd month. The symptoms are a nightmare!!

Well I really think I'm out this month, I have started spotting today which is exactly what happened last month before my AF.
I felt really down about it yesterday but have picked myself up and am going to try and stay positive for next month!!

I am at Amsterdam at the weekend so at least if AF does arrive I can have a good drink!!

BSL i have tried joining FF but it says there memberships are full, but it does say if I know someone who is already on there, they could recommend a friend and I should be able to join?? Would you be kind enough to try that for me please??

I have been temping all month and its really interesting. My temp has dropped right back down this morning so I think thats a sign AF is due?!

xx

questions2008 · 23/09/2008 12:19

Ooh thank you BSL! It was a teensy little bit of pain, not even a good period cramp, so I survived!

I've read enough here to know not to expect things to happen quickly but I just can't help it, now that we've decided we are ready I want my baby now!! I'm sure this enthusiasm will wear off eventually.

Any ideas on a fertility boosting, libido increasing meal I could cook up to celebrate??

bluestarlavender · 23/09/2008 12:03

Hi Questions and welcome!!

It'll be lovely for you to join us! I had my IUD out 3 months ago. Hope it wasn't too painful for you. It hurt me a little bit.

It's a really lovely gang on here!

Goodluck with the TTC!

Hi guys, can I join your lovely group please? I've been lurking around MN for a while now but we are now officially entering the TTC phase as I had my IUD removed this morning. Woohoo! I'm so excited! You might have guessed I haven't done this before

bluestarlavender · 23/09/2008 11:13

Morning everyone,

Thought I'd pop on and post my FF chart. Here it is: Bluestar's FF chart

Hope everyone has a good day today. Nothing new from me, just very tired from a late night (with beer)! Ended up readng when I got to bed. Summerbird - I've finished the book! I had to know what happened!

Big waves to everyone.

Hi guys,

Wildfig - sorry about AF!! But I'm glad you're temping!! I'll post my home chart tomorrow so you can see what mine's looking like. I like the charting. It realyy helps with letting me know when AF is due, as I have quite irregular cycles.

Summerbird and Vix - it's down to you guys now! And me too, but I am not feeling very in the running at all. Some one has to get a BFP this cycle, it's in the stats! Good luck guys!

Wishin I totally agree about Mondays sucking!! I'm sorry about the BFN too! Are you doing anymore clomid cycles?? I heard 3 was a standard start...?

Anyhow, off to bed now, Very tired. Been out playing target golf...have any of you guys done this?? It's like bolwing, but with golf.

More tomorrow.

HI girls, wildfig about the AF evil witch, but it is good that you are getting to know what your temps are up to, so well done on the positive attitude!

wishin also about the BFN but yay about the foxy red shoes - my DH loves the colour red so i would be in there too

wishinanhopin · 22/09/2008 17:28

Hi Girls.
Kind of down today....Mondays suck! Took my first ever pg test and BFN. It's only my first month on clomid, so I'm not going to let myself get down about it! Although, I had tricked my mind into hoping my clomid symptoms were indeed pg symptoms. Alas, back to the drawing board. Was away this weekend and go some trampy redshoes (DH has a shoe thing) LOL. So I had to laugh when my girlfriend said, if you're not pg now you will be when DH see those.
Baby dust to all
xoxox

wildfig · 22/09/2008 17:23

Hello! No BFP for me, sadly - AF definitely here, a day early. But looking on the bright side, doing the temp thing is actually quite satisfying: you can see what's meant to be happening, and plan around it. At least I know I'm ovulating, which is something. (When I had my fibroids removed, the surgeon gave me a sheaf of pics from the operation, and frankly I'm amazed my wee womb is still functioning at all. It looked like a cornish pasty by the time they'd finished the stitching. Sorry. TMI) I was told, repeatedly, by everyone, that it would take at least six/eight months to get pregnant 'at my age' (thanks), so haven't been expecting anything to happen this side of Christmas. But have my fingers crossed for summerbird and BSL - Vix, aren't early AF symptoms meant to be a classic pregnancy sign??

saz007 · 22/09/2008 14:33

Afternoon all,

I'm clockwatching - I swear it's going backwards!! Just counting down the time till I can go home...roll on 4pm

MAF Happy birthday to your DP

I hope there's more BFPs on this thread real soon - it's been really lucky so far

DH and I are off to a baptism on the 2nd, for our godson's little brother. So that's quite exciting. I've taken the Friday off work so I can have a nice long weekend....not long now

OMG I must tell you about a progam I watched at the weekend, DH had sky+'d it for me. It was a Dawn Porter program, Dawn has a baby - or something like that. I thought I was pretty clued up about what happens.....NO!!! It was really interesting but there were lots of shocking moments in the program - mainly involving scissors
DH was telling MIL that it had almost put me off ttc (she's still in the dark) and she was trying to reassure me that you forget the pain

makingafamily · 22/09/2008 14:17

Hello Ladies

BSL and Summer sounds like you had fab weekends.

Crunchy Hope your feeling better

BSL i agree i think we are gonna see a BFP pretty soon.

Saz i hope the 6th comes around before you know it

Well, it was DP's b'day this weekend so one of the good things about last months BFN was we got completely plastered on both friday and saturday night Yes, i know its not great for fertility but it was fab just to not worry and have a big blow out.

Hope everyones mondays not too bad

summerbird · 22/09/2008 13:32

bluestarlavender · 22/09/2008 12:18

Afternoon all!

Sorry about impending AF, Vix! Are you sure?

I definitely think that one of the four of us will get a BFP !! I don't think it'll be me though...still no symptoms (except this cold, which hasn't gone yet).
Summerbird, Wildfig* - any symptoms for you guys??

Crunchy - how's you today?? I hope you're feeling a little better! The cold/flu sounds awful and a room full of school kids is my idea of hell when I'm fully fit, let alone poorly!

Saz - oh, 6th Oct is getting pretty close!! How exciting!

Big waves to everyone!

crunchynutter · 21/09/2008 21:46

thanks saz at least that's one good thing about not brig pregnant then. I can keep taking my cold+flu tablets. I'm dreading work tomorrow but after a day of rest and lots of pills I think the aches are dying down. I have the worst class in the whole school tomorrow and have to start poetry with them! I think they may make me cry if I am still feeling this bad!

Hope everything is going well for you and baby. I am still very jealous even though I have my pills xx

saz007 · 21/09/2008 19:19

Hi all,

Just popped in for a quick catch up on how things were going for you all.

Awww Crunchy I have massive sympathy for you hun. I too have developed cold(not flu thankfully tho [phew emoticon!]....it sucks as I am not allowed to take anything other than paracetamol (I'm not achy yet) just I have major sniffles and my throat hurts

Summer the ball sounds fab, I hope you had a good night? Oh and it was the recptioist when I phoned to make my appointment that told me I didnt need to see the doc, you're right it isn't far away.

Hi to everyone else and I hope you are all well and making the most of the weekend

crunchynutter · 21/09/2008 13:22

hi all- I am poorly and want some sympathy LOL. I thought Friday I just had a cold but it appears to have grown into full blown flu! I haven't had any sleep, I have ear ache, sore throat, back ache and can't breathe! It's horrible I am trying to do next weeks planning and catch up on my marking but I hurt!! Ok I am not going to moan anymore DH has got me cold+flu tablets and extra strength strepsils so I should be good in a few days!

I hope everyone else is well and our pregnant ladies are avoiding these horrible germs! Xx

bluestarlavender · 20/09/2008 21:25

Evening all,

It looks like it's been a busy day for everyone and a quiet one for the thread.

Summberbird - hope the charity ball goes well!! We'll get through this TTC together! It might not be as straight forward as we'd like, but at least we have options and hopefully solutions. You sound like me this month...not expecting anything!

I've had a nice chilled out day in Dungeness. Went to see Derek Jarman's house and wonderful garden. I love Dungeness, it's so other-worldy. We've been a couple of times before and every time we go, it's beautiful and sunny.

As for symptoms, well the weird cramps started today. I've had them for both the previous cycles, so I doubt they're a symptom. I also has a bit of nausea today, like motion sickness. But again I think that's cos we were doing some bird watching, so I was wearing my contact lenses. My eye sight is pretty good, but I am a little tiny bit short sighted and wear contacts if we are going bird or animal watching. I haven't worn them for months, so I am pretty sure that's what made me feel sick.

Hope everyone else has had a good day.

oo forgot to say, BSL i have absolutely no symptoms at all, however i am more relaxed about it this month as am not expecting a BFP so maybe i am in a better frame of mind.

i slipped up the other day, i used an MN acronym on my mother by accident!! we were talking about my issues and i mentioned CD1 - she asked me what i was talking about, i just mumbled some sort of crap and got away with it! PMSL

summerbird · 20/09/2008 09:47

nice one linwin and all the very best of luck for round 2!

BSL am feeling better thanks, think i am resigned as there is nothing much i can do until the xray, i read that article you posted and it does look like they can treat it if necessary.

saz that is a bit rubbish of your docs to say that, was it the receptionist or the doc who told you not to go in? although having said that Oct 6th is only 2 weeks away and midwives are lovely! (MIL used to be one!!)

off to a charity ball tonight, the posh frock is ready and waiting!

bluestarlavender · 19/09/2008 19:32

Linwin - fantastic news!!!! Congratulations!!! Let us know if you need any help with anything. I've had quite a bit of experience at targeted selection interviews...if that helps any.

Happy friday evening girls!

Congratulations on the offer being accepted Dawn you must be over the moon. Soon you will be able to get down to some serious nesting

News from me is that I got through to second round of job interview but that isn't for over a week so I'll have plenty of time to get properly prepared

Can't wait to hear of a few more BFP's - I've got a very positive feeling about this month!
